Vice President JD Vance appears on the Joe Rogan podcast for an extensive interview. Watch or listen as the content will likely be the subject of political conversation.
.
This is Vance’s interview on July 11 with Daily Wire:
JD Vance Takes on Milton Friedman
In Vance’s interview last week with The Daily Wire, he sounded much more like a Mitt Romney, big-government RINO than a Trump or Ronald Reagan.
Decide for yourself. Here are some of Vance’s misguided views on economics and the future of the GOP:
“Milton Friedman’s ideas made more sense in the 1980s because they were being advocated in a country that still had a very rich and powerful institutional Christianity.”
“If you look at modern Britain and the result of Margaret Thatcher’s policies, you would say that her policies actually got Britain further away from that ideal and not closer to that ideal.”
“I think that meritocracy can steal from us a sense of what really, really matters.”
“When Donald Trump ran for president the first time, the idea of tariffs on imported goods was a heresy in the GOP. It is now the baseline position that virtually every Republican politician adopts.”
“If you turn economic development (i.e., prosperity) into a sort of idol, then you end up sacrificing a lot of the things that matter most.”
“American economic policy on the right is now much more Alexander Hamilton than it is Milton Friedman. I think that’s obviously a good thing.”
This is anti-free-market, big government gobbledygook. Here’s just one “laissez-faire economic truism” that JD should learn: Individuals can always spend their own money better than the government.

With the midterms coming up and conservative leaning media going hard on pushing Vance, just reinforces he is the Republican version of Obama, a cardboard cut out made to fit preconceived ideas of the ideal conservative candidate. Vance is an empty suit and very vacuous. Plus VPs have made terrible Presidents, the first Bush and FJB for example. Vance is big government’s preferred candidate. Right now attention should be on midterms, we will hear enough about 2028 starting in Jan. 2027.
“If you turn economic development (i.e., prosperity) into a sort of idol, then you end up sacrificing a lot of the things that matter most.”
This is indisputably true, you cannot serve both God and money.
If Vance actually believes this, then he has my vote.
Note that the phrasing is targeting Christianity…..that economic development is almost a sin….maybe an idol.
Economic development has been an ongoing continuous process from the beginning.
Idolatry comes from the heart. Creating businesses/jobs is not a sin.
Whatever happened to, “If you don’t work, you ought not eat”??
and THERE it is 🎯
🎶 you’ve been hit by…a smooth criminal 🎶
JD is into big government.
Don’t be fooled.
Our country was not founded on idolatry of money.
It was founded on Judeo Christian values .
JD doesn’t understand that.
I reject his liberal social values – Peter Thiel is a major mentor of JD.
I have no intention of harming those people but would not have them as mentors or a part f my inner social circle.
It violates my beliefs.
I also reject his association with Tucker Carlson and hiring his son who shares the same anti-Semite views.
Trump denounced Tucker. JD will not. Tucker recently endorsed JD for president. ALL these are red flags for us.
He has no chance of winning. If it is between the two, I’d take a chance on Rubio.
BTW Milo Yiannopoulos turned the page on that “life style choice and wrote a book about it.
You can find it on Amazon –
Diabolical: How Pope Francis Has Betrayed Clerical Abuse Victims Like Me—and Why He Has To Go
How to Be Straight
There’s no such thing as Judeo-Christian values. It’s a made up term by modern Jews to convince people that our founding fathers used Jewish teachings to help found our nation and therefore are part of the fabric of our nation. No different than when they change their names to sound more similar to the culture they are trying to ingrain into.
Jews didn’t make it up. Jesus was a Jew and he spread Jewish values. Christianity didn’t spring out of the air. The values are shared, moron.
“Jesus was a Jew”
Christianity comes necessarily out of acceptance of Jesus Christ and the rejection of the Talmud’s Jewish values. Henceforth. God gave Jews and Gentiles alike the choice to accept Jesus as the path for salvation from our sins.
The Christians who escaped the Inquisitions of England and Europe with their lives, formed the earliest colonies in this land. Their generations later forged a nation, free of tyranny, based on Christian values.
“Most of the 56 signers of the Declaration of Independence were clearly members of Christian churches (Congregationalist, Presbyterian, Episcopalian, Quaker, Lutheran, Baptist, etc.) and one was a Roman Catholic.
No signer ever blatantly denied Christ or Scripture.”
The three founders resistant to the full teachings of Scripture, John Adams, Thomas Jefferson, and Benjamin Franklin. respected the Bible and often drew from it or openly borrowed from the Word of God. All three acknowledged the God of the Bible. Still, not Jewish

Go to bed!
There’s no such thing as Judeo-Christian values. It’s a made up term by modern Jews to…….
I believe the term wa coined by George Orwell……
I use the term and like it. It’s not implying that Christians and Jews have the SAME values, but that we have many shared values.
Both Christians and Jews take care of their women and children, their homeless, their hungry and we share the lessons of the Old Testament, and value freedom and justice.
Thank you thank you thank you.
Do your homework for heaven’s sake. The term was coined in Germany in 1831 by Ferdinand “Christian” Baur, hardly a “modern Jew”. Jesus himself was a Jewish Rabbi who preached “Jewish teachings” from the Jewish Torah and his teachings remain the core foundational fabric of both Christianity and our nation itself.
Thank You.
Judaizing Christians were a problem for the Church even during the time of the Apostles (see Galatians 5).
Jesus’s teachings angered the Jewish religious authorities so much that they called him a blasphemer and ultimately conspired to have him killed. Because of this rejection, the covenantal relationship between God and the Jews was brought to an end, Jerusalem and its temple were destroyed, the inhabitants of the land scattered across the Roman Empire and the status of “Children of Israel” was extended to all those who profess faith in Jesus Christ. “God’s Chosen People” from then onwards would no longer be defined by ancestry but instead by belief.
The Lord JESUS challenged the utter corruption of His “Religious Leaders”. unlike today
Paul’s observation to the “foolish Galatians” related to an issue Paul himself was confronted with on the road to Damascus: they were attempting to reject Jesus and tie themselves to a system that required them to fulfill the Law of the Torah. There was no Mercy in the Second Temple. The Law / Torah in Leviticus 16 required an atonement of blood by the anointed and properly washed High Priest (second problem) on the Mercy Seat. That part of the Law was not fulfilled probably since long before the reign of Jehoram; the sabbatical years and jubilee years were not at that time either, per scripture.
The Galatians knew that Jesus had, literally, fulfilled all of the scriptural/ Levitical requirements to be the High Priest as well as being the literal the King of Israel (through Heli, Mary’s father and Nathan’s descendant (lineage) and adoptive father Joseph, Solomon’s descendant and entitled to the throne (house). Like Paul, they were to go to the temple and give offerings to YHVH (e.g. Acts 21), but they were not free to add religion-derived rituals or celebrate non-scriptural holidays.
No where in scripture does it teach that the covenant with the Jews ended for disobedience. Moses and the prophets warned that Jesus would be rejected, discipline would be imposed, and eventually the Jews will recognize the Messiah that they did not recognize the first time.
Hosea 5:15 I will return again to My place
Till they acknowledge their offense.
Then they will seek My face;
In their affliction they will earnestly seek Me.”
Leviticus 26: 44-45 “Yet for all that, when they are in the land of their enemies, I will not cast them away, nor shall I abhor them, to utterly destroy them and break My covenant with them;
for I am the Lord their God. But for their sake I will remember the covenant of their ancestors, whom I brought out of the land of Egypt in the sight of the nations, that I might be their God:
I am the Lord.’ ”
Which covenant has God broken with His people?
God has always left a remnant no matter how they tried His patience. Many Jews will come to know the saving grace of Jesus through the preaching of 144,000 from the 12 Tribes during the Time of Jacob’s Trouble.
Amen. Christians are a branch off the Vine.
“If it is between the two, I’d take a chance on Rubio.”
When Rubio speaks it seems to come from the heart, some inner voice. With convection..
When Vance speaks it sounds like a script…
No doubt we’re staring “split-vote” strategy straight in the eyes!
If Rubio is on the ballot he will get my vote… Otherwise a lackluster vote for Vance – I suppose.
Vices are notoriously dumb, I see Vance as a perfect example. Personally I’m impressed with Rubio, but we don’t really know these people and we can’t, it’s impossible unless we grew up watching them or know them personally. Even then the best politicians are the best liars.
I am a big fan of Rubio. I have gradually found JD Vance less believable.
I was very skeptical of Rubio during his RINO phase. I think he has since realized the true threats to country through the rise of the communist democrats. I trust him more than Vance.
Hear me now, it has already been determined by both men that Rubio will NOT run for POTUS.
I neither agree nor disagree with your comment. I simply said if Rubio ran he would get my vote. Pretty simple.
Vance addressing Epstein files on Rogan is obviously a dangling carrot for presidential run; exposes him to dangers he doesn’t even realise. Not too smart speaking on speculations.
Vice President JD Vance admitted on The Joe Rogan Experience that the Trump administration “absolutely screwed up the comms” regarding the release of the Jeffrey Epstein files, acknowledging they should have released documents more quickly rather than engaging in what critics called a “performative display.” Vance theorized that Epstein used his sex trafficking ring specifically to “blackmail rich and powerful people” on behalf of these agencies.” While Vance denied any intent to hide information, (here’s his carrot) he pinned much of the blame on former Attorney General Pam Bondi for falsely claiming a “client list”existed, an “error” he said caused the public to “distrust the entire effort.” and yet, on the other hand; Vance theorized publicly that Epstein used a blackmail list) Going further, he argued that while no documents currently exist to prove this, any such evidence was likely “disappeared” or destroyed between 2006 and 2007 during the initial, narrowly focused investigations. Does he hear himself?
When you find fault with Friedman, however, you make me a skeptic.
Well, you do know that Hamilton was a protectionist, right? Much like President Trump, he believed that the U.S. government should protect our industries and farmers, rather than sacrifice them on the altar of ‘laissez-faire’.
Hamilton’s mother was a Jew father unknown. He was brought to New York city by masons. Who paid his tuition and living expenses at Kings college now Columbia University Like all the founders except for John Carroll Hamilton was a Mason. Quickly married into one of the richest families in the colonies.
Charles Carroll was not a Mason.
“In Vance’s interview last week with The Daily Wire, he sounded much more like a Mitt Romney, big-government RINO than a Trump or Ronald Reagan.”
A big government RINO. Almost as if he’s logged some miles riding around in Peter Thiel’s Plantir pocket? There will come a day when he’s no longer hidden by Trump’s shadow. When he finally steps alone into the sunlight, what will he look like?
Me too.
A vampire.
Trump never, EVER, sounded like Reagan on the subject of free trade.
Thank God
Vance will look line another Mike Pence…
Not looks like. What he says, what he does bears witness to Vance engaging in typical “undeclared candidate” behavior, already publishing a book and touring alternative media sites where he expects a more favorable reception than on traditional Sunday talk shows.
Vance skipped a scheduled Tuesday meeting with House Republicans to appear on Joe Rogan’s podcast in Austin, Texas. While his office cited a “scheduling conflict,” flight data and social media videos confirmed he traveled to record an episode of The Joe Rogan Experience instead of addressing the caucus. The meeting was intended to resolve weeks-long internal tensions where hard-line lawmakers blocked the National Defense Authorization Act to demand the attachment of the SAVE Act. He also employed the use of Air Force Two for this podcast appearance during a legislative standoff.
Vance was expected to encourage rebels to align with House Speaker Mike Johnson’s leadership priorities, which include advancing the SAVE Act through alternative legislative vehicles like budget reconciliation. He subsequently rescheduled his address to House Republicans for Wednesday afternoon to discuss these fiscal and election security measures
Wasting taxpayer money and neglecting his duties to “fan boy” with Rogan, addressing key issues like the Iran war, the Epstein files, and economic socialism at this time, without aggressive questioning?
He was on the VIEW last week being aggressively questioned but you keep pushing your negative agenda. He’ll reach 1000 times more people talking to Rogan than talking to the house. The house already passed the Save America Act without him there, which by the way, it’s the SAVE AMERICA act, not the Save act which you incorrectly called it. Are you new to this? You think Trump doesn’t know his schedule and what he’s up to, or that he’s pushing a book? You think Trump isn’t going to endorse him? So many people quick to throw stones that have no clue at all what they’re talking about.
In all three of his election campaigns Trump ran as a Hamilton-style protectionist and anti-free-trader. If you think that approach is ‘big government’ then Trump is also “big government”.
Conservative media absolutely hates Vance, just as they hated Trump back then.
You should listen to some of the promethean action videos that Sundance has been posting/ sharing. Then you’d Know what was going on and that your view is the warped one not J D’s
Visit Promethean Action before you embarrass yourself even further.
How’s he “embarrassed”? He has his source, and you have yours.
And NEITHER one is the Gospel.
Your choice is between JD Vance or either Gavin Newsom or AOC.
Marco is a long shot and frankly his connection to Israel is a big negative. His entire political career in Florida relied on the Miami based Braman Family which owns most of the Mercedes Benz, BMW and Cadillac dealerships in South Florida.
Wrong. That is to say, I hope you’re very wrong.
Norman Braman was the owner of the Philadelphia Eagles until he sold the franchise to Jeffrey Lurie.
Meanwhile, Rubio continues to impress.
Back in 2015-2016, I would never that he could get my vote,
but today I would rather have him as Pres. than Vance.
‘Don’t know if it is because Rubio has become a better leader, or
my recognition and willingness to give him credit has improved?
Economics and hard knocks degrees here.
Also, former Libertarian with the Harry Browne thank-you to prove it.

Case closed.
“…and China joining WTO.”
Bushes and Clinton all seemed to give away the farm.
What did they have in common?
Scratch the surface and truly examine the next candidate, please.
No JD for us.
JD is NOT MAGA and never was.
People need to understand who JD is.
At best JD is a big government establishment guy who would easily be converted into a globalist.
JD will undo the MAGA agenda.
I read about that on Rasmussen Reports. I pay attention to Rasmussen because they were one of the few doing accurate polling and predicted Trumps landslide popular and electoral vote win in 2024, while the other pollsters were lying.
JD Vance Takes on Milton Friedman
A Commentary By Stephen Moore
Rasmussen Reports
Tuesday, July 07, 2026
https://www.rasmussenreports.com/public_content/political_commentary/commentary_by_stephen_moore/jd_vance_takes_on_milton_friedman#google_vignette
Kudlow, Laffer, and Moore wrecked Vance’s comments made during the interview.
I am increasingly doubtful that he is the guy for 2028.
check out the commentators on Promethean re: Freidman and free trade…….. the American System and all that…………. might be worth your while to check it out – a new (was old) paradigm
Milton Friedman was not correct on everything imo. He was a big advocate for no tariffs under any circumstance. Otherwise I agree with the rest on what you wrote.
He was Open Borders, too.
By invoking Romney, Moore primed his audience with negative information, before they look at the evidence. Some might call it poisoning the well.
Freidman was the one who instituted corporate greed., where if companies could make an extra buck, offshoring they were expected to do so. This resulted in the China shock were 3 million Americans lost there jobs and whole communities were devastated.
In simple terms Vance is saying that a $14 toaster actually costs quite a bit more when you account for the community effects.
That the argument for free markets goes out the door when your trading partners do not play by the same rules (China).
A persons worth is not based on what school they went to or how much they produce.
As for Hamilton, he was the one who first called for tariffs and protecting American industry, much like what Trump has been doing.
Calling Vance a cardboard cutout ignore the fact the Vance has been talking about these points for a decade, long before he got into politics.
We are in a new world, and Trumps party has long since passed Stephan Moore by.
I think President Trump is doing a great job. I wish his tariff approach had not gotten neutered by the courts. I’m guessing most of the folks here feel the same way.
But then you’ve got to ask yourself whether using tariffs as PDJT wants (for examploe) is really “free market” policy. I think it is exactly the opposite, and could be called a “big government” activity, to boot. What bigger government intervention could there be than to have the President declare that goods incoming to the country need to be taxed? Think about it.
Similarly, enforcing who can and cannot enter the coutnry or work for an American company is a big-government enterprise. Again, think about it.
So I really don’t agree with FloridaFredOutWest’s response to the VP’s comment about Hamilton and Friedman.
______
______
Agree, not much there. If I had to vote today it would be Rubio, much more experience in the world arena. Time will tell but for me something is amiss with Vance
I like JD👍🏻
I like JD too, he’s special, authentic, not trying to fix everything all at once, not trying to fit in any box, just being himself growing and learning, and being trained by the best. I think he has more potential than any candidate, mostly because of his spiritual depth as a Christian. He gets that right, and that will lead him into all the truth.
I want to see how he is at enriching himself based off his name and connections from his vice presidential term, before i’ll be ready to lend my support to a JD Vance presidential run.
Wow, he called out Israel for running a propaganda operation against himself.
He also said Mossad and Israel are behind the Epstein blackmail operation.
We need Israel and Islam out of U.S. politics. Both drag us down and weaken America with ancient conflicts and forever wars.
I am seeing reports on MSM in my area about this part of the interview and I have to wonder if JD has been given the green light to actually discuss things that have heretofore been “protected speech”? If so, I am all for it…
I think he was given the green light. Probably President Trump is sick of Israel’s warmongering and sabotaging deals. I think we need to get out of the ME and let the chips fall where they may. Let’s focus on domestic and hemispheric defense like how the President talked about during the campaign.
Vance also said that ‘figures’ inside the Israeli government are manipulating American public opinion to keep the war going ‘indefinitely.’
Here’s more quotes:
https://www.dailymail.com/news/article-15980465/jd-vance-israel-epstein-mossad-rogan.html
President Trump went into Iran a second time to help Israel and he’s paying a terrible price for it both politically and emotionally. You can see the stress in his face. He’s very tired, too. Last week when it looked like the Iran Adventure was resolved with the MOU he bounced back and looked great at least until it blew-up over the weekend!
Welp, what were we supposed to do when Iran finally ended up with a nuclear product and put a few in Cuba?
I am not religious (I envy those that have something to believe in) but absolutely islam needs thrown out. As many have said it is not a religion but an all encompassing tyranny.
You do believe in something paramount that guides your life, it is embedded in a whole range of belief systems that humans use daily for moral reasoning and abstract thought. You are religious, God put a faith feature in your brain and it is filled with something. It’s been written about, often referred to as “The God Hole”.
You just have to think about it and perhaps tell us in what do you have faith and then consider is Christianity better than what is your alternative faith.
Well then get Qatar OUT OF THE US. They have infiltrated just about every institution in the US
Yes, as I said, Israel and Islam out. Islam includes Qatar. Both working hard to damage the Christian West.
Both paying off the prostitutes in Congress but Israel interests have a much stronger hold there.

AIPAC is Americans.
Would you have voted with the 100 Democrats to stop aid to Israel?
Yes
AIPAC is Americans that put Israel first.
It’s funny how we all seem to be agreed that dual-citizenships and divided loyalties are a huge red flag…but somehow that all gets thrown out the window where Israel is concerned LOL.
Substitute money for Qatar and that explains the infiltration of “just about every institution in the US”!
Huh? We got a lot bigger problems here than Qatar!
He was too nice to Milton Friedman but I like him anyway.
VP Vance tells Joe Rogan people “within Israel’s system” are trying to prolong the war “not toward any objective, but just indefinitely,” and cites a Time magazine article he says details an alleged influence campaign aimed at derailing U.S. negotiations with Iran.
“There are some people within their system (Israel), we know beyond a shadow of a doubt, who are manipulating and trying to change American public opinion to keep the war going on indefinitely. Not toward any objective, but just indefinitely.”
“But I definitely think you have seen this very discreet, extremely well funded campaign to try to derail the negotiation and try to derail the deal.”
“It’s social media posts. It’s, you know, they’re leaking to reporters. They are attacking, obsessively saying that we should not be negotiating with Iran, that we should just keep the military campaign going indefinitely.”
“Go to hell. I’m going to do what I have to do for the American people. I represent Americans first.”
https://xcancel.com/Osint613/status/2077534662738501851#m
You can’t make a deal with Iran they will not break. Period.
OTHER SIDE SAYING SAME……
Israel is NOT trying to prolong the war. They wanted Iran to be dealt with once and for all.. Instead with the dubious MOU which vance crafted, Iran has the ability to continue the war and close the straits of Hormuz
Iran is not my problem. As we have heard here for the past ten years…
“My problem is Washington DC!”
Iran is our problem They foment terror all over the world. Israel has/had the means to do it but Trump and Vance stopped them
Good! Get them off the tit.
We have 20,000 Iranian students enrolled in the most prestigious universities and medical schools in the United States each year. Not one of them ever bothered me…or you!
I went to school with some Iranians at a community college 2000-2003 when I sought a career change after a debilitating accident. The problem is who is running the country, not the Persian people in it.
Just like the US when Democrat/Communists are in charge. The next time it happens J6 will look like a picnic. I will meet many of you in the gulag. These Communists wanted to put you in prison for not getting the Safe and Effective Shot.
I suspect those were Persian students; not Iranians. Persian expats bring in successful talents, but do not really assimilate. They just retain their elitist Persian attitudes instead.
Who decided our choice is only between Rubio and Vance?
Are there no other strong leaders out there who understand the game? None! Not single soul?
A: Yes.
His name is Donald J. Trump and he may have the third term to which We elected him–if he so desires.
Well, when your culture is 2,500 years old…
Gee that’s great. But ask their parents/grandparents what they were up to as university students.
and I stand on business with MAGA, not America First, since that moniker has been hijacked and quickly weaponized by the globalists.
Just like their are Americans that want the war in Ukraine to continue indefinitely or how about Afghanistan, Iraq, and Vietnam. There are groups of people in both countries that want forever wars.
Relaxing from a full day. I’ll watch it later. Interesting comments from Treepers I respect. Israel suffers from the same problem as the US; good hearted people with corrupt and lousy politicians (and liberals)
Thank you Jimbo. And the Israeli press hates Bibi exactly like our propaganda machine hates Trump.
I won’t vote for JD. He can’t hold the MAGA coalition together. He gives off a bad vibe, like a Sunday morning televangelist.
He comes off as very folksy..Aw shucks..but he is well spoken..
Well there is always Kamala or Gavin I suppose.
MARCO RUBIO
Marco is owned by the MIGA money in South Florida. The Braman Family bankrolled his political career including his run for President in 2016.
Maybe Trump will bankroll him!
So if he is the nominee you won’t vote for him and that will make it better?
SMH
There are many questions about Vance, mycroft, as well as any other who runs as a Republican.
But there are none about any and all Democrats, singly and collectively. They are a poisonous, deadly product as advertised. An existential threat to the well being of this country.
Who can watch or listen to them and not believe it? We are being warned. And that’s just a fact.
Amen Betsy!
My vote, or lack of a vote, won’t matter because Vance can’t hold the 80M vote coalition. Vance can get the GOP vote but not the dems, undecideds, gays, never-voted, or independents.
However, if the Save Act 1, 2, 3, and 4 pass he could probably win with just the GOP.
Vance will get more votes than Trump did. I’ve been saying that for a year. Sit on your hands, but you lose your ability to whine about what happens after you stay at home. Vance will get every vote Trump got, and then some from the people who think he’s more malleable or reasonable than Trump. He is going to steamroll whoever he runs against, but you go ahead and get emotional about it.
I wont say I wont vote for him, But, you’re right, there’s something that gets my suspicious cats fur up….Cant put a finger on it…
I agree. I find theres something off about him
Its Rubio for me
Vance appeared out of nowhere, just like obama… Try to trace him… he did not exist until 2015…
Let Vance run as a Governor and get some credibility as a line leader or a line failure.
We are fighting a spiritual battle here, jane. We may not like many Republicans, but we know the Democrats. They’ve shown us what they are… out and out evil, in satan’s employ.
Should Vance end up being the nominee, to not vote for him is to help choose a force which will finish this nation. If you have children and grands, when the time comes, you must reconsider for their sakes. The election in 2028 is not as far away as we may think, but there is enough time to ask for guidance…which will be given to you.
Vance isn’t MAGA so your premise is false. I am not going to be a #batteredconservative or #batteredMAGA.
The dems want you to stay home with the sadz
MAGA has to be pragmatic sometimes.
IMO, both Vance and Rubio have histories as elected politicians, so voting for either is playing Russian Roulette; but, come election time, you can bet I’ll be playing Russian Roulette.
Well if he was the choice between the right and the insane left are you going to sit it out? We may not have another selection. We can not let a Mamdani anywhere near the Oval Office.
Vance is not the guy to lead the revival or restoration of the country. In my opinion he is a child in a man’s world.
We’ve been through this chaos before in the 60’s and 70’s.
The country is not going to self-destruct if Vance isn’t elected.
What a foolish point of view. Ladies and Gentlemen, we now have “Never Vancers”. Go ahead and drive it into the ditch Jane, and see what your stubborness brings. “not going to self-destruct”. You’re very foolish.
Rubio! Rubio will be next up in the batter cage!
No worries..
Gracias Dios
Your gonna love AOC as President! 🙄
Raised by his grand parents, with a quick rise to the top…The story of Obama. Shudder.
NOT at all the same thing. I think you have no idea of the chaos in the life of a child coping with parental addiction and abandonment. Nor was his Granny typical. There are life skills one learns that cannot be taught.
The more I see Vance, the more I like him as a person.
Was his mom addicted when she carried him? I’d like to know.
Did Obama’s grandmother have 19 loaded guns scattered all through her house when she died?
I like Vance. I’m not nearly as involved in all of this as most of you are (which many of you will likely view as a failure on my part) but I like what I know of him.
I’m currently listening to his book “Communion, Finding My Way Back to Faith”. I’m only a couple hours into it and it’s 8 hours long, but so far, it’s interesting and has started to make me think about my faith.
I’m listening to the same book. I think it’s well done.
From the FWIW website:
Joe Rogan: a.k.a., “Joe Garrelli” — an electrician and handyman on the fictional TV “sitcom” radio station and program “NEWS RADIO” … and he got his “bones” AS AN ACTOR !!! In other words, reading what other folks wrote for him to say … ???
J.D. Vance: VPOTUS, former USMC — served as 2nd MAW combat correspondent (a.k.a. a military journalist as did Al Gore in his Daddy-sponsored short tour in Vietnam) … ZERO combat and six months in a non-combat role, writing articles and taking photographs even tho’ he’s been described as a “combat Marine”, no matter what anyone says. And who “initiated a rapport with Peter Thiel”and roomed w/ Vivek Ramaswamy (???). And was employed in SFO by the same Peter Thiel and worked for none other than Senator John Cornyn (R-TX) upon graduation from Yale Law … never said he wasn’t “smart”, BTW.
But FWIW, I have ZERO trust in either one of these gents then, now, and going forward to tell me ANYTHING about “how it is, what it is, and what it will be … ”
In any way, shape, or form …
And I’ve BTDT in many, many ways … and 80 years “experienced”, whatever that might mean …
The fact is that there is only one Donald J Trump. When he leaves the Oval Office there will be no Trump clone to take his place. Whether it’s Vance or Rubio or someone else, we have to judge them on their own character.
If you don’t vote then you will get whoever/whatever the Dems prop up.
JD Vance stuffed up the MOU negotiations with Iran.
He messed up the wording.
The opening of the Strait was left open to different interpretations.
Now we sit with this mess
I also think JD is in the pay of Qatar.
I’m not mad about his wife either.
Heaven help us if he is the next President.
What’s wrong with his wife?
HB 1 visas?
She has no legislative power so you don’t have to worry.
Is that you, Bibi? 😎
Ten Commandments. Gracias Dios!
Believe in morals and deep faith!
I won’t consider Vance POTUS material until he takes the Senate in hand and fires the parliamentarian.
Amen.
Always a book being hawked w/these people.
I hear book sales and think of money laundering payoffs given the history of the Uniparty.
I will bet that he will turn once Trump exposes him. He is a Tucker #2. Mark my words. I was also right about Tucker more than a year before it was understood by most of the people.
Right about what?
Maybe I have misread your post, but why would you say ‘once Trump exposes him’. I ask because Trump and Vance do share the same foundational views on domestic economics, trade protectionism, and the general “America First” direction of the country.
I am not impressed. Vance is talking in over-simplified terms about the filibuster, and the 50 vs 60 rule (largely determined for any particular bill by the democrat appointed senate parliamentarian), when HE VANCE is the very PRESIDENT OF THE SENATE! I know the senate rules are complex and arcane, but for goodness sake, why doesn’t he get over there, take the chair, and shake things up?
Why? Well, it’s because the Vice President can only “take the chair” in order to break a tie vote in the Senate which is on a six week vacation at the moment!
There have been a number of clueless comments. I can only assume it is an attempt to smear and weaken, because the views/understanding have no bearing on reality.
Wrong. Try again.
NOT good. Just gonna keep sayin’ it…The Happy Professor is not built for this time. He’ll get raked by the Dems –and If KamalaWalaDingDong doesn’t win outright, it’ll be hanging chads time.
A total establishment phony. He knows he needs to beat Rubio and won’t. He’s scared.
You can feel his nervousness and anticipation. He’s a nobody trying to be somebody. He is a fake, just like the lot of them.
The country is not going to self-destruct if Vance isn’t elected.
That is why I can’t be forced to vote for him. He creeps me out.
I can’t see him being president.
He can make a polished speech but his stones aren’t big enough for the evil in this world today.
IMO he’s a boy not a man.
I think the present Rubio would be stronger.
In other news, when are we going to start taking our debt seriously?
Are you ready to endure the hardships? First, we could completely transfer the funding of Medicare to pay for the debt. It would barely pay the interest due. Meanwhile no more Medicare for you.
Now for paying the principal, take Social Security for the next 30 years.
Yes I am. Are you?
Because what is the alternative?
I’m glad to hear that you are willing to give up your Social Security and Medicare. The result would be chaos. That’s where we are at.
Yes I am.
Unless a dark horse arises the only candidate who could beat Vance is Rubio. If Rubio doesn’t run, we need to shut up about Vance being a RINO and work to push him right. Cause he is going to be the candidate, hands down. Losing is not an option.
Been wary of JDV from the start. Rubio seems like the Trump heir imo.
James Donald David Bowman Heller Vance is a manufactured mirror, just like obama. He will reflect exactly what the person in front of him at the time desperately wants to see.
Barack Hussein Obama Soetero Marshall Davis
the Third.
Just as I have been saying:
JD Vance on Joe Rogan on Jul 15: “I’m very frustrated by the Americans and frankly by people in other countries who are like, you cannot negotiate with the Iranians. Well, then what is your proposal to get people to stop shooting at ships in the straight of Hormuz? You can bomb them. You can take away their radar. You can take away some of their drones and some of their missiles, but it’s just too easy to fire at ships in the straits.”
Also just as I have been saying about “finishing the job” by “bombing them into the stone age.” They’ve said this numerous times before:
On a side note: AI is now doing to cognitive and white collar work what Chinese manufacturing did to blue collar work. The pure free market response remains the same as it was with China: call it creative destruction, tell people to retrain, and insist that any government involvement will only make things worse.
The Hamiltonian/Vance (and dare I say Trump) response rejects that. Having seen the China Shock devastate communities, the instinct is not to treat people as disposable inputs. Instead it calls for active industrial policy and strategic protection to ensure America owns the field, that the productivity gains actually raise wages and strengthen families , and that we do not become dependent on China the way we did for pharmaceuticals and rare earths.
The real test is whether the guy who lived through the last shock can use those Hamiltonian tools on the AI shock without simply trading dependence on China for permanent dependence on the state.
Disappointing Rogan repeatedly pushed Vance to accept Talarico’s position “as a Christian” who is against the Texas law requiring a copy of the Ten Commandments to be displayed in public schools. Neither mentioned Talarico as a self-identified Presbyterian seminarian equating Christianity with other religions, saying God is non-binary and using the Bible to defend abortion. While Vance referenced Islam as being an Abrahamic faith, neither referenced the prominence of the Ten Commandments in the Old Testament common to Judaism and Christianity and highly respected in the Quran which views the original Torah (first five books of the Bible) and the Psalms as major revealed books.
Vance Slams Israeli PR Campaign To Keep War Going ‘Indefinitely’ & Undermine Him
2 Corinthians 6:14
Warning Against Idolatry14 Do not be yoked together with unbelievers. For what do righteousness and wickedness have in common? Or what fellowship can light have with darkness?
Vance who loudly proclaims that he is “Christian” knowingly married a practicing Hindu. Based on his choices and actions, what can be inferred about his values, motivation and integrity?
Not the first time something like this has happened. Solomon, who God appointed to dedicate the first temple in Jerusalem, married pagan wives in his old age and brought idolatry into Israel. Even a righteous person can be corrupted by marrying an unbeliever.
IMHO the current political situation won’t end well for Vance.
I really enjoyed watching and think its amazing we have such a great bench that the prez, vp, s of s and MANY OTHERS could (DO) sit for long form interviews and appear to be just REAL & NORMAL…..without artifice….. pursuing MAGA’s agenda or at least what MOST of us here want to see accomplished while at the wheel….as for WHOM I’d vote for….I’ll leave the parlor games to you all, and just see who makes it to the ballot…..a LOT can/WILL happen before then.
JD Vance is very articulate. MAGA has a great bench. He is only 42.
(((Harry Enten)))
@ForecasterEnten
For politicians, going on with Joe Rogan has a lot of reward…
1. He’s a young GOP whisperer. He’s far more popular with GOP under 45 than even Trump is!
2. He’s popular with voters who didn’t cast a ballot in 2024.
3. Rogan has a positive net favorable with all voters.
Cint and Video linked…
JD sounds more like Mitt Romney, than Trump.
“Free Market Capitalism” is what shuttered the US factories and impoverished 2/3 of the middle class over the last 40 or so years.
You can have “free markets” (so-called, but not really) while the rich get richer, the middle class sinks and shrivels, and the elections are always rigged because the richest know how to manipulate both the elections and the voters. What was sold to us as “free market capitalism” has turned out to be the slippery slope to socialism and communism.
Or you can have free people under the rule of righteous laws designed to protect the well-being and rights of law-abiding people from those would subvert the financial system, economy,. and laws to molest them.
The second is what Vance is trying to explain.
Many of us have been so indoctrinated into believing in the supposed holiness of “free market capitalism” that we are unable to really hear what Vance is saying.
Vance eats the curry saar. I will not redeem the vote for JD Vance saar.
If you watch this, about 25 minutes in they start talking about Election Fraud, with Rogan and Vance basically laying out all the common sense reasons that it’s obvious they’re stealing elections. Rogan comes out and says he’s accusing them of stealing elections.
Then the next day, Trump is having his election integrity speech. Also yesterday, the House once again passed the Save America act through to the senate.
All of this is choreographed, and I appreciate that they lined all this up.
Marco is looking more and more like the man for 2028 a Trump runs his WH Apprentice redux.
