NATO Ambassador Matthew Whitaker appears on CNN with Jake Tapper to discuss the recent 2026 NATO assembly in Ankara, Turkey. Tapper asks Whitaker about the New York Times report on Airforce One and subsequent DOJ subpoenas, and Whitaker doesn’t take the bait, “not in my purview.” WATCH:
.

Its certainly refreshing to watch strength in real time – refusal to take the bait, closing down the hoped for narrative.
And every one of the administration officials whom I have seen have been very disciplined in this – “not my purview, talk to the person in charge.”
Much like the actions they take with ko announcement or advance PR (known as “socializing” in the corporate world).
Iran wants to drag war into midterms to hurt Trump politically: Joe Concha-
Fox News contributor Joe Concha said Sunday that Iran wants to prolong the war into the turbulent midterm election season in an effort to hurt President Donald Trump politically.
To extend the conflict, Concha suggested Tehran may be misleading the U.S. about its intentions regarding a peace deal.
“All they want to do is get to November because they know this hurts the president politically. They want to stretch this out as long as possible,” Concha said. “They’ll tell us one thing and then do another.”
Concha predicted that Democrats could retake the House while Republicans maintain control of the Senate in the midterm elections.
Under such a scenario, Trump could face repeated impeachment efforts from House Democrats, Concha said.
“They’ll impeach Trump in perpetuity, and they’re not going to look good in terms of not solving problems, only settling debts,” Concha said.
“So you’re going to have a split, sort of, government at this point,” he added.
What an ignoramus on Iran. As if there is one unified governing body, and not multiple rogue factions desperate to retain or regain power.
Data Republican did an excellent Substack post back in March on how their governing system was set up…with communication, production, and military capacity very degraded, in addition to IRGC businesses being hammered by Economic Fury, it seems to me that there is ample opportunity for many factions to be at each others’ throats.
POTUS knows exactly what he’s doing.
I certainly agree that Iran and the Dem/Socialists/Pinkos/Commies want to do this! I wouldn’t be surprised if several Republican Senators (Thune and his posse) also vote for impeachment. I don’t put anything past these rinos!
Whittaker belongs in the cabinet. If true, as rumors say, that Patel is planning on leaving, this is one man I would consider to take his place.
Patel leaving? Don’t tease me.
“not in my purview.”
I recall Whitaker also saying those words more than a few times, during the Russia hoax witch hunt.
If Whitaker said those words a few times then how manty times did Herr Mueller say them?
Herr Mueller used this phrase over 200 times during his testimony before the House Judiciary and Intelligence Committees to avoid answering questions beyond the scope of his public report or involving ongoing investigations.
So he did, but Mueller wasn’t the acting Head of The Department of Justice at the time…
I had reasons to be optimistic that Whitaker would finally be able to prosecute some of these traitors, that were brazenly strutting out in the open, after two years of relentless attacks on the Office of the President of The United States. He didn’t even pretend to have have a spine, and allowed Rat Rosenstein to dictate terms.
Whitaker may not have stabbed PDJT in the back, but he also decided not to come out to bat for him, during the darkest of times. In my experience you only get to see the measure of a man when things are dire. It’s easy to make a good impression when things are going well.
Absolutely dead on target. 🎯 Thank you.

Jake is a nasty little man.
Commonly referred to in some circles as a pi$$ ant…………………
Fake Yapper always in the krapper.
Pi$$ant ??? It’s pronounced “pizzaahnt”….it’s French. (From the very immortal movie CorkyRomano):
Don’t forget how much he, his wife, and in particular their children absolutely love love love Comet Ping Pong and Pizza.
We cannot possibly hate these, Servants of Satan, enough!
Eventually, if you care to dig, (pun intended) far enough, you will inevitably discover a history laden with Perversion.
Fake News Propagandist’s, truly are the Enemy of the People.
Stealth Matt 2.0.
Tapper……Insufferable nauseating beta cuck.
I’m confused. Turkey relies on Russia’s Air Defense Strategy but they have to scrap it to get the f35’s
They are in NATO, but they rely on Russia’s air defense strategy.
So if they want F35’s. they have to break from Russia’s air defense strategy which is …. Good? Right?
But Russia is supposed to be bad and Turkey, being a NATO partner is supposed to be good…., wouldn’t it be good if Turkey used Russia’s air defense for the good of NATO??
Or are we supposed to think Turkey, our NATO partner, would use Russia air defense against us?
If Turkey is good and NATO is good but Russia is bad….. why is Russia giving them air defense
Color me confused.
Great synopsis of the situation.
I wonder who’s next in line after Erdogan, as he is looking rough.
It seems that not much is in his purview excepting getting his shiny dome on television. When an interim (Acting) United States Attorney General finds themself in the middle of the worst of it and decides that fixing it is not in his purview.
