There’s something in the background of this story we are not being told. An illegal immigrant child rapist, Tou Lue Vang (42) was on the way to being deported after his arrest and prosecution for raping a 10-year-old child. For some reason, just before his deportation, Minnesota Governor Tim Walz stepped in and pardoned Mr Vang.
Secretary of State Marco Rubio then changes the legal immigration status of Mr Vang, deports him out of the country and does a video announcement about it. What is it about Mr Vang that warrants such highly visible conduct from U.S officials.

I live in MN and my nurse mother was involved in treating some of the first airlift Vietnam allies(Hmong, Laos). The Hmong have built quite the community here and they are pretty good Americans; very hard working and play their money the right ways.

I live in MN as well and agree with your sentiments that regardless of how/why they got here the Hmong (in general) have followed the footsteps of prior groups in the US of acclimating and becoming part of our country. They now have 2nd, 3rd and maybe 4th generations here and you are beginning to see success stories like the St. Paul MN mayor (liberal as she may be), Suni Lee (Olympic gold champion) and so on. More to come as (in general) that community works hard and believes in education (although public education in MN is terrible with lots of brainwashing).
My impression is Walz and Ellison will try and do anything possible to push back on Pres Trump’s deportation efforts (and many other things as well). Many MN demoncrats have no problems releasing criminals back into society and if they can do so and frustrate the President then so much the better. There’s a convicted burglar (Nicole Mitchell) already running for office again barely months out of jail, the fake news covered for her to keep her in her seat for 2 sessions after she was arrested because she was the vote they needed to retain power, and she’s not an outlier in how things are done here. The Minnesota Judiciary is 98% DFL and shamelessly partisan. They’ve ordered that the body cams of her arrest cannot be released because the public apparently has no vested interest in the criminal antics of DFL cronies who seek office. We had a DFL rep for the St. Paul East side who claimed a Wisconsin home address and he retained office as long as they needed His vote. That’s how it rolls here.

For tampon Timmy, letting a few more predators out to run free is just releasing squirrels as distractions from the major corruption that is being exposed. I applaud the response by the Trump administration on this and other distractions. The only issue I had was that they didn’t bring in MORE ICE agents and they weren’t able to remain in large numbers and finish the job. Tampon Timmy is releasing squirrels, Secretary of State Rubio is effectively shooting them to end the distraction. By promptly deporting the pedophile this administration has ended the distraction value of the felon.
