The pontificating Congressional Delegation (CODEL) are visiting the NATO summit on behalf of their paymasters within the military industrial complex who have advocated along with the Europeans for expanded military hardware.
Both Raytheon and Lockheed Martin are positioned to gain billions in revenue from the sale of Patriot missile systems to NATO Europe and via PURL to Ukraine. It is not coincidental that Raytheon and Lockheed Martin pay both republicans and democrats in the U.S. Senate for legislative outcomes to enhance their profits.
However, that said, the transparency of purpose is sickening. Taxpayers are in an abusive relationship with government.

If the US had insisted on deciding on terms of peace between Russian and Ukraine
and refused to give any arms or money or intelligence data
the war could have been ended before or even soon after it started.
Hundreds of thousands if not over a million lives could have been saved
and probably well over $500 billion in damage prevented perhaps double that sum.
A good leader who cared far more about his people than his ambitions
would not have taken and kept his people in this war.
These shameless American politicians have cheered him on
because they personally have no skin in this brutal game.
Can President Trump and his advisors not see this?

If those who have gotten rich through this war knew they would have to pay a massive personal financial penalty, both those investing in the industrial arms industry and the manufacturers themselves and have to pay out of their own pockets for the reconstruction they would have dropped their involvement like a hot potato. I have watched over sixty years how expensive weapons have been supplied, often from the West, to countries that could ill afford these.

No terms would have been necessary had Putin not invaded and attacked a sovereign Ukraine (after taking Crimea on Obama’s watch in 2014). No Patriots would be necessary if Putin weren’t desperately and indiscriminately launching thousands of missiles/drones into civilian areas of Ukraine on a regular basis. Trump has finally come around to same mindset as Rubio and Generals Kellogg and Keane. Putin is a terrorist trying to rebuild the USSR. His people, other than his ultra-wealthy Oligarchs, are mostly ignorant peasants. Ukraine and Russia have a far better chance of prosperity once Putin’s war is stopped and he is out of power. At this point, Putin is doing nothing but completely destroying Russia in a war that he can not win.

These members of CONgress should be in emergency session here passing the Save Act and a bill ending birth right citizenship along with confirming Trumps judicial appointments.
Again, the two key words being “should be.” But these manipulative, greedy, out-of-control traitors to their country could give a rats ass about passing the Save Act, ending birth right citizenship or confirming Trump’s judicial appointments. Nah. No time for that (or willingness). Rather, the same old crew race half way around the world in order to reaffirm that their “cash cow” remains standing and breathing. And they’ve gotten so brazen in their outlandish behavior that they express no care or concern of possibly being held accountable for such actions.
