Canada booed the U.S.A during the FIFA World Cup opening celebrations. Today, on our biggest national holiday, Morocco crushed Canada 3-0 sending them home.

Canada became the first of the co-hosts to exit the World Cup as a clinical Morocco won 3-0 to reach the quarter-finals on Saturday in Houston. The 2022 semi-finalists Morocco will face title favourites France or Paraguay as the business end of the tournament in North America approaches. (more)
An ancillary note of historic irony. In December of 1777, Morocco was the first country to recognize American independence. Sultan Mohammed III of Morocco issued a declaration allowing American ships to freely enter Moroccan ports, granting them the same privileges as vessels from nations with established treaties, effectively recognizing the United States as a sovereign nation.

It takes two to make a rivalry. Canada is dependent on the USA and they know it. Vermont was not one of the original 13 states and they were Loyalists. Many Loyalists moved to Vermont or Canada in the Revolutionary War.
I too am glad that Canada got beat but they are unworthy to be considered a rival at anything except curling and ice hockey.

Allan you are correct on every point you make other than when you say that Canada knows they are dependent on US. Since Canada was a host nation they didn’t have to qualify for the World Cup, (same for US and Mexico) Canada was afforded a relatively easy draw(Qatar, Switzerland and S. Africa) and when they messed up and lost to Switzerland they had to leave Canada and play in the USA. They immediately began whining (federation and libtard American coach Jesse Marsh) about the unfairness of it all and the scheming heartless Americans ruining everything for the right and good Canadians……PUKE. Yesterday a fairly disinterested Morrocan team dismantled the Canadians, warming my heart on a joyous day celebrating independence day and the 250 th birthday of the greatest country in the history of the planet.
