This is so sad, and so true: provable with statistics, but those are not really necessary. I can feel it in my bones when I reminisce about my 50’s and 60’s childhood and adolescence and compare with norms today.
Whole families have their phones out while dining together, I never seeing kids riding a bicycle to a friend’s house, or playing a “pick-up” baseball game they, themselves have organized. The town closest to me maintains pristine county baseball and soccer fields that look like wastelands – totally empty. We used to draw staws for the use of a baseball field or just make our own, choose teams, solve inevitable disputes, and make lasting friendships.
Their memories will be of reaching a personal high while playing a video game – alone in their room. 😔

I had to cut off free access to my facilities & put locks on them.
Hotel next door did not have restrooms in lobby only in their rooms & they sent people next door to me.
One guy that put me over the top on doing something about it came in as a 3 some 2 guys 1 girl in a old white firebird. <eyeroll>
1 guy spent a half hour in the men’s room, apparently took a “shower” in there & left a 1/2 inch of water on the floor.
Server had her daughter in to “help” her as punishment for something (I later employed her when old enough) & mom forced her to clean up after the guy… I LMAO at the whining from her daughter.
More people came in & were told restrooms closed as they got trashed by people such as you that just come in to use the restroom.
Oh, I just came back from Sonic…. needed to wash hands but…. nope… they close the restrooms @ 5 PM. Asked for a foil wrapper as the smasher comes in a box. SMH
I feel for them tho, my place was on the other side of the street, I’m sure they have the same problems but…. I was a customer… not a customer no key. The gas station is right there too, I guess gas station rest rooms have a bad rep & people avoid them.
(including me, unless it is a truck stop as those are kept better for the “professional drivers” sometimes have their own exclusive ones too with showers even.)
I would gladly go back to pay toilets here in tourist land some incredibly nasty a$$ people visit here, even thought about it myself, coin locks are still available to “lease”, with “swipe” payment or coin/token & revenue share… still in Indianapolis of all places, no wonder every time I remember going shopping in Indy with mom all the toilets were pay.

For all of us who feel only the deepest love and affection for the way computers have enhanced our lives, read on.
At a recent computer expo (COMDEX), Bill Gates reportedly compared the computer industry with the auto industry and stated, “If GM had kept up with the technology like the computer industry has, we would all be driving $25.00 cars that get 1,000 miles to the gallon.
In response to Bill’s comments, General Motors issued a press release stating: If GM had developed technology like Microsoft, we would all be driving cars with the following characteristics:
1. For no reason whatsoever, your car would crash twice a day.
2. Every time they repainted the lines on the road, you would have to buy a new car.
3. Occasionally your car would die on the freeway for no reason. You would have to pull over to the side of the road, close all of the windows, shut off the car, restart it, and reopen the windows before you could continue. For some reason, you would simply accept this.
4. Occasionally, executing a maneuver such as a left turn would cause your car to shut down and refuse to restart, in which case you would have to reinstall the engine.
5. Macintosh would make a car that was powered by the sun, was reliable, five times as fast and twice as easy to drive – but would run on only five percent of the roads.
6. The oil, water temperature and alternator warning lights would all be replaced by a single “This Car Has Performed An Illegal Operation” warning light.
7. The airbag system would ask “Are You Sure?” before deploying.
8. Occasionally, for no reason whatsoever, your car would lock you out and refuse to let you in until you simultaneously lifted the door handle, turned the key and grabbed hold of the radio antenna.
9. Every time a new car was introduced, car buyers would have to learn how to drive all over again because non of the controls would operate in the same manner as the old car.

COMMENTARY FOR PSALMS 103:8
An exhortation to bless God for his mercy. (1-5) And to the church and to all men. (6-14) For the constancy of his mercy. (15-18) For the government of the world. (19-22)
6-14 Truly God is good to all: he is in a special manner good to Israel. He has revealed himself and his grace to them. By his ways we may understand his precepts, the ways he requires us to walk in; and his promises and purposes. He always has been full of compassion. How unlike are those to God, who take every occasion to chide, and never know when to cease! What would become of us, if God should deal so with us? The Scripture says a great deal of the mercy of God, and we all have experienced it. The father pities his children that are weak in knowledge, and teaches them; pities them when they are froward, and bears with them; pities them when they are sick, and comforts them; pities them when they are fallen, and helps them to rise; pities them when they have offended, and, upon their submission, forgives them; pities them when wronged, and rights them: thus the Lord pities those that fear him. WE ARE FIGHTING A SPIRITUAL WAR OF GOOD VERSUS EVIL
PRAYING ON THE ARMOR OF GOD
Father God, I now follow your command to put on the full armor of God, because my battle is not against flesh and blood but against rulers, authorities, the powers of this dark world and against spiritual forces of evil in the unseen world.
I first pray on the Belt of Truth that it may be buckled around my waist, may I be centered and encircled by your truth dear Lord. Hem me inside all that is true and right, and may I be protected and held up by the truth of your living word, in my Lord Jesus name.
I pray on the Breastplate of righteousness, please protect my vital organs and my inner man, cover my integrity, my spirit, and my soul. Guard my heart for it is the wellspring of life, please strengthen and guard the most vulnerable places in my life with that which is right, good, and noble that I might not receive a fatal blow from the enemy, in my Lord Jesus name.
I pray on the Gospel Shoes of Peace. I choose to stand in the shoes of your good news, and on the firm foundation of my Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, the solid eternal rock. All other ground is sinking sand, I pray that I will not slip or fall, but that my feet would be firmly fitted on your lordship, my Lord Jesus. Finally, I take up the Sword of the Spirit which is the holy word of God, I pray this powerful offensive weapon into my hand, and ask that your holy word would be fitting for every encounter I face. As the enemy gets close to me, please give me the insight, wisdom, and skill to wield the word of God to drive away the enemy, in my Lord Jesus name.
May the enemy and his team flee from me, upon hearing the word of God spoken by the power and direction of the Holy Spirit. Give me the sword of the spirit to cut through the wiles of the devil, so that I may discern the schemes of the enemy when he is near.
With all kinds of prayers, supplication, and intercession I pray to you my Lord God as the one who fights my battles. Now that I’m in your holy powerful armor, I walk away covered and ready to face my day as you go before me, and please protect me in the midst of the spiritual warfare in this unseen world, in my Lord Jesus name.

I haven’t eaten meat in 45 years – don’t get angry anyone, I Don’t Preach!
In the past 2 years, gluten became problematic.
Going out to eat is a puzzle in a maze. 😆
A few restaurants allow me to bring my own gf bread and pasta. I’ve done extensive research to discover the best of each – and they don’t have it.
I actually pay the cooks a few shekels to cook my own pasta, and tip our servers. who we’ve known for years, very well.

Their coconut milk ice cream is Heavenly… doesn’t come in many flavors but I add whatever fruit I have at home and make it

Thunderstorm rolled in and we lost power and my Generac kicked in. Still have internet and satellite TV and A/C but no electrical service. So nice to have that whole house generator. It will be getting it’s annual service Thursday morning. Oil and filter change, air filter change, spark plug change, and a 41 point service check.
Evening Prayer For Forgiveness
Heavenly Father, thank You for bringing me through this day and Lord, forgive me for the times when I have wandered outside Your best will for me, instead of trusting You implicitly.
Thank You, that You are such a gracious Shepherd to me and that You come and rescue me even when I lose my way and stray from the path that You have laid out for me.
As I look back over today, I know Lord that there were things that I should have said and done differently, and times when I reacted in a manner that was not honouring Your holy name. Forgive me I pray, but thank You, Father, that You always faithfully prepared to gently bring me back to Yourself.
Give me a good night’s sleep I pray, knowing that there is no condemnation because I am in Christ, and may I wake up in the morning refreshed and ready to do Your will. In Jesus’ name I pray,

Evening Prayer For Future Guidance
Heavenly Father, as I lie down to sleep tonight, I pray that You would guard my sleeping and protect my mind from wandering thoughts and unnecessary planning. Teach me to wait for Your perfect timing and not to try to plan my future in my own strength.
Lord, I know that You have scheduled every day of my life. Help me to trust You in all things and rely on You to lead me along the straight path and guide me in the direction that You would have me to go.
Give me patience to wait for Your perfect timing, and may I not trust in my own abilities and scheming, but rather rest in Your love and trust my future into Your hands.
And so now Lord, I commit this night to you, asking that I would rest soundly and wake refreshed and strong to do Your bidding. This I ask in Jesus’ precious name,

Praise Your holy name Heavenly Father, for granting yet another day in my life and for being with me every step of the way. Thank You for the many blessings that You have provided and the love and fellowship that I have with the friends and family that in Your grace You have placed in my life.
My heart is so thankful for all the many blessings that I enjoy day by day, and today I am once again reminded that Your mercies are new every morning and Your faithfulness endures from generation to generation.
Thank You, that I have been brought into Your family and have been made a child of God and a citizen of heaven. Words cannot express my love and devotion to You Lord
