In an opinion delivered by Justice D. Arthur Kelsey [appointed by then-Gov. Mark Warner (D)] the Circuit Court says the process Democrats used to draw new congressional boundaries was unconstitutional. [SEE RULING HERE] That process “incurably taints the resulting referendum vote and nullifies its legal efficacy.”
The court said that maps put in place in 2021 must be used in the November elections instead. Three justices dissented from the court’s ruling.
VIRGINIA – The Virginia Supreme Court on Friday overturned the state’s redistricting ballot measure that would have given Democrats an edge in four House districts, dealing the party a massive blow ahead of the midterms.
The ruling now gives Republicans a clear lead in the gerrymandering efforts over the last year, which were further inflamed by the Supreme Court’s Voting Rights Act decision last week.
Virginia voters passed the measure last month. But the state’s top court ruled that legislative Democrats did not follow the proper procedure when rushing the referendum to the ballot.
Virginia Justice D. Arthur Kelsey, writing for the majority, said Democrats “submitted a proposed constitutional amendment to Virginia voters in an unprecedented manner” that violated state law. (Source)

PRIDE GOETH BEFORE THE FALL: Hakeem Jeffries’s Big Mouth Comes Back to Bite Him After Virginia’s 10-1 Democrat Gerrymander Gets Nuked (VIDEO)

Everything the democrats do is unconstitutional, they’re a corrupt organization that needs to be made extinct …
Dems fight the law and the law wins!

From Ben Cline, the Congressman representing our 6th district:
“This is the correct decision, and it was always going to end up this way. Democrats broke laws that they helped write in the first place, blew through deadlines, wrote a biased and misleading ballot question, and lied to the voters in all of their advertising to support the referendum. The voters of Virginia banned gerrymandering six years ago, and that ban remains in effect today. This is a great day for fair elections and the rule of law, and it’s a great day for the Commonwealth of Virginia.”

I do wish the Republican Party would put the video of Hakeem Jeffries giving his speech about Virginia redistricting and kicking Republican`s butts and how Texas is running scared, would be lucky to get two or three seats, put that video on a loop and play it 24/7.
Republican MAGA efforts at redistricting are mostly succeeding while Democrats efforts are mostly being rejected because the GOP is following the Constitution while the Dems are relying on the same race-baiting tactics they’ve always used!
Race-based gerrymandering is, at its core, discriminatory and the kind of “Whoever doesn’t see it our way is a Jim Crow, racist!” rhetoric that worked 50 years ago isn’t cutting the mustard anymore!
The scoresheet so far, according to Gateway Pundit, is Dem redistricting in California and Utah may gain them 6 additional House seats while MAGA redistricting in Texas, Florida, North Carolina, Missouri, Ohio and now Tennessee looks like a gain of 14 seats!
If that holds true, Democrats chances of retaking the House in the midterms are looking dimmer than AOC’s frontal lobes!
Let’s start looking at the candidates now to see how MAGA they are. My guy, Wittman, not so much. Better than a Dem for sure, but not MAGA. He voted yes for funding the NED.
Let’s hope and pray much that the voters in Virginia will do the right thing on Election Day. It’s not a win until it’s a win on Election Day.
Excellent. They really had gone too far.
