VICARIOUS INTERCESSION
“Having therefore, brethren, boldness to enter into the holiest by the blood of Jesus.”
Hebrews 10:19
Beware of imagining that intercession means bringing our personal sympathies into the presence of God and demanding that He does what we ask. Our approach to God is due entirely to the vicarious identification of our Lord with sin. We have “boldness to enter into the holiest by the blood of Jesus.”
Spiritual stubbornness is the most effectual hindrance to intercession, because it is based on sympathy with that in ourselves and in others that we do not think needs atoning for. We have the notion that there are certain right and virtuous things in us which do not need to be based on the Atonement, and just in the domain of “stodge” that is produced by this idea we cannot intercede. We do not identify ourselves with God’s interests in others, we get petulant with God; we are always ready with our own ideas, and intercession becomes the glorification of our own natural sympathies. We have to realize that the identification of Jesus with sin means the radical alteration of all our sympathies. Vicarious intercession means that we deliberately substitute God’s interests in others for our natural sympathy with them.
Am I stubborn or substituted? Petted or perfect in my relationship to God? Sulky or spiritual? Determined to have my own way or determined to be identified with Him?”

A few will get slung off into space, but most will come along for the ride of their lives.

Here is the game plan that the forces against Trump will be using for the foreseeable future.
They will attempt to get you to make the perfect the enemy of the good.
Be it the freedom clowns and spending, the immigration hawks with H1B visas, the peace doves with timing, the cultural warriors with total bans of DEI/CRT, the neocons with war fighting, or the swamp dwellers with draining the swamp.
All of them will attempt to get you to believe on whatever issue is the issue of the day that it doesn’t go far enough or do enough. They will try to make you think that some sub issue of that issue is more important and should be handled first, that since the issue hasn’t been handled yet it won’t be, that we can’t do more than one thing, that so and so is a plant to stop the draining of the swamp, or that because it wasn’t 100% Trump lied. On every single issue, one or more groups will attempt this strategy.
You can’t allow them that power over you. If Trump secures the border and deports 2 million, don’t allow them to reduce that good by them saying well he didn’t deport 2.5 million, so he failed or lied.
You can’t allow them to use the perfect to void out the good in the coming months.
They will try. They already have with the CR and the H1b visa debates. It works, that is why they use it. You have to keep it in the front of your head on everything about to occur that half a loaf or hopefully in most cases 7/8ths a loaf is better than no loaf.
Do not allow them to gaslight you into thinking the good is the enemy of the perfect.
In the real world, most things are never perfect, but if we try real hard, we can get plenty of good accomplished in the coming 4 years.
Day 105 of the 2nd year of the 2nd term of this very stable genius. History is being made in the kingdoms of this world in the year of our Lord 2026.
The purpose and goals of President Trump are plainly visible by his actions and consistent: He is for the benefit first of the common PEOPLE of this country, then of the PEOPLE in the rest of the world. It is validating, even to our battered conservative skepticism.
The methods of his leadership are amazing. I still don’t get HOW he does it, or HOW he is able to get so much momentum going, but every day the momentum is growing. Everyone and every organization has their eyes opened every day — just by watching him. Even those who hate him, are biased against him, and want to see him gone — cannot ignore him. He lives rent free in their head, and they come around to seeing the universal principles by which he is operating. He hammers actions based on truth from one direction, then another, and they cannot mount an organized opposition against him.
President Trump is transparent in his words and actions. He is consistent in what he says, what he does, and what he asks/demands of others. His promises are bold and he keeps them like no other president has. He continues to make massive, nearly overnight changes, not only in our country, but in the world. It is amazing that he is able to accomplish so much when there are so many snakes in the grass. This second term, he is weeding them out faster and choosing like-minded servants who multiply his effectiveness. No U.S. president has ever faced so much organized resistance and treason than President Trump
He has chosen to use his intellect and every skill he has to do what is right. He has tremendous faith that he can make a difference in this world. He has a confidence and courage such that he doesn’t care what others think, yet a humility to know he has to do it with the help of like minded people. Those people are the “common” people, and he ridicules those who think they are not common. He does not show humility before men, but his actions show humility before God.
He believes people are basically good. He believes that God is real. He believes that healthy people are happy people, and they need to be able to create wealth freely for their labor, and have the freedom to spend their money on what is good for them.
He believes the United States, with its Constitutional Republic, is the best environment in the world to enable and give opportunity for people to be happy and prosperous.
He believes that we can be a light for the world, but we must demand that the rest of the world respect us and our right to Life, Liberty, and the Pursuit of Happiness.
He believes the enemy of our country are the stupid, greedy American people who have been selfishly taking advantage of this country; who betrayed the trust and obedience of its people; and who diverted the people’s wealth for their own selfish gain, at the expense of the principles of this country. He’s not going to allow that anymore. He is not afraid to call out our enemies.
He has cultivated and focused the family of MAGA. Identifying those people whose goodness, industriousness, trust, and obedience have been taken advantage of and abused. He has opened our eyes to this abuse, and to the rights of freedom and self determination that have been quietly stolen from us.
He has rekindled the same healthy distrust held by our founders of government and men with too much power. He has recultivated the desire to reclaim our freedoms and rights, and is empowering us with a hope and pathway to reclaim our spiritual and economic freedom.
He wants the US to be a light of hope on the hill for all people. He will negotiate win/win agreements with those nations and countries who respect us; who respect the principles and intent of our Constitution. If you do not respect us, however, we are not going to let you take advantage of our goodness, or share in our wealth at our expense. If you as a nation are treating your people badly, you are going to be treated less favorably by us, until you show that you value your people as much as we value ours. He believes that nations who treat their people well will also be good economic neighbors with us.
He is convincing those who are very wealthy (most of whom truly earned their money), that the best economic soil in which to build wealth is in a constitutional republic, which supports the ability of the common man to earn wealth in proportion to his efforts. The economic engine of the United States is the human spirit freed to enjoy the fruits of honest labor, and that engine has more natural and raw horsepower than any other governed economy.
The Trump Train seems to be remarkably aligned with universal principles of Truth, which reflect the will and design of our Creator, and are the best standard by which we should live. These same principles were what our country’s founders used to declare independence, and framed into the Constitution of this nation.
Our founders believed that a nation should preserve the right and freedom of an individual to seek, understand, and live by God’s principles. They believed that free individuals working together in humility would make a stronger nation than a government which dictates its will on the people. President Trump professes and seeks to lead and restore this nation back to these same principles.
These principles resonate deeply within all human beings, down to our DNA in every cell, in our spirits, and produce fruit that “miraculously” multiplies. Because we follow universal principles, we see the snowballing acceleration of momentum. Lord please bring your power and might in the daily working of this sacred Nation you gave us.

yesterday, the defense was squawking about him being on suicide watch too long and can’t participate in his defense. Allen is where he needs to be. I think they are trying to set up the future appeals, myself.
If the mental health people don’t clear him…oh well, FAFO. I personally would rather see a challenge to that than go thru months of an investigation into his suicide and the subsequent multi million dollar lawsuits that would be filed by his family.
I have worked in correctional health care and I doubt any psychiatrist or psychologist would want him released if he is not ‘ready’. The perp is too much of a risk to himself and society.
Am guessing he is cold, has no socks or blanket, has to ask for little squares of toilet paper, is bored has no access to much of anything, and the suicide attire is not to his liking…we used to call it ‘the turtle suit’.

I used to buy an occasional Starbucks, but stopped when I watched them make a “Tall” (12 oz size drink) and saw them throw away the 2nd shot of espresso instead of offering it to the customer. A 12 oz drink at most coffee shops is 2 shots espresso. At Starbucks it’s only 1…you have to pay extra (like $1) for that 2nd shot, even though the machine automatically makes 2 shots at a time. So the customer either pays for it…or they toss it.

Avg cost of gas in 2013 was $3.50. If one was to adjust that for inflation, the cost would be $4.96.
You misunderstand the American people. $5.00+ a gallon for gas, especially after the financial bludgeoning of Covid/Biden, is particularly hard on the average person. If you couple that with the bit of respite they got last year, well that’s pretty easy to manipulate because it has a basis in truth: people are feeling the pinch.

That is true. Although I know better, every time I’m out driving and see that the price of gas has gone up ten or 20 cents a gallon I get bad vibes about November. To address the pending food supply concerns, I suggest that President Trump suspend the ethanol mandates for fuel. This would free up farm land. Also corn could be diverted from ethanol and used as cattle food.
Maybe bring Grassley and Thune to the WH and tell them this. And that’s only the start unless they back off the blue slips and the filibuster nonsense. And throw in some recesses so appointments can be done.
That won’t happen. The Ethanol lobby is quite powerful.
Switch grass is a more viable source of ethanol than corn. This is outside the debate on ethanol, but there was always a better source for it than corn.
And the Midwest wasn’t always a monoculture/bi-culture of corn and soybeans (some could say that switch has been detrimental of itself).
Corn distillers grain, the leftover bits from the ethanol production is already a quality cattle feed. Not much waste there, per say.
Using corn ethanol for fuel however is a lousy use of resources and likely only occurs of subsidies in multiple places in the production chain. Like the subsidies in every AG Bill for Big Corn for one, and another for fuel blending requirements.
Ethanol also lowers the caloric value of the mixed fuel as it is about 2/3 of what straight gasoline is. To say nothing of destroying engine components over time that were not designed for more than a few percent mixture in gas. One can also go ask someone that had forgotten to empty the gas out of a small engine before they stored their chainsaw or mower for a season and subsequently ruined it thanks to the hydrophilic properties of ethanol.
Never use ethanol in a small engine. Small engines 101.

Ethanol production also uses (wastes) tremendous amounts of groundwater which we can’t afford.

Corn is presently $4.60 a bushel down the street from me . It will be less when harvested this fall.
The costs to put this crop in this spring were way way up. Fuel is much higher. My share of corn crop fertilizer usually runs about $5,000. This year cost over $13,000.
What does this mean?
It means it will take an average crop to break even.
When the price of corn drops below production costs, fewer acres will be planted.

An economically sensible solution would be to build one or more pipelines to connect to networks farther to the east that already carry heavy crude. Another would be to extract more oil from Californian lands and offshore.
I do not see either realistically happening without dispensing with the one party rule in California first.

California doesn’t have a petroleum supply issue so much as a refinery capacity issue. Speaking of which, two more refineries are shutting down thanks to their ridiculously burdensome environmental regulations and tax schema leaving as of last count, 9 refineries left to carry all the demands of the entire State for all petroleum products.
No surprise that refiners are going to refine more of the most valuable products that are not gasoline in order to stay in business.
