Now what? How can President Trump get this passed? So disappointing!
Bear in mind, if the “Republican” majority was 4, there would be a 5th for these situations. I imagine the Republicans would need a minimum of 60 Senate seats to have a slight chance of getting lots of stuff passed. Even then, the filibuster proof number would miraculously shrink to 58 or 59 if needed.
A large portion of the Republicans are actually Democrats who represent White Suburban districts and can’t win as a Democrat.

But your assessment still works : some States will only elect a Republican to tne Senate if voters understand that the Republican is really a Dem. Susan Collins illustrates this perfectly.

I knew those four would vote against it, but I thought along with Grassley, possibly Fetterman would vote for it. But Grassley didn’t vote and Fetterman voted no. Warner also didn’t vote. Someone has to work on Fetterman, and when Grassley is back, get it up to 50-50 and JD can break the tie.
President Trump has stated he will not sign anything brought to his desk until the save act is passed. When I heard this my thought was get the VETO pen out that will show them, hopefully he means what he says and says what he means. I do not know if he has caved on this or not.
Remember the 2024 election when at least two winnable senate seats weren’t won by Republicans? Nevda I believe was one. Either through cheating and/or not enough support to the candidates. When every winnable seat is not won then the “majority” is left slim so that these effing RINOS can mess things up.

The New York Times hosted an interview with two communist millennials who condone theft as a moral good because they believe it will hurt the wealthy.
NYT culture editor Nadja Spiegelman published the interview Tuesday on “The Opinions” after hosting the discussion with political commentator and left-wing kingmaker Hasan Piker and The New Yorker writer Jia Tolentino.
The interview, Spiegelman said, followed a trend she coined “microlooting,” or the ability of younger Americans to steal a small amount of product from big corporations, laugh it off, and justify it as survival or as retaliation against wealthy elites and corporations that they believe still exploit the working class.
The half-hour discussion began with a list of hypotheticals presented by Spiegelman, with the intent to gauge what happens when stealing is or is not permissible.
“I’m pro-piracy all the way, like, across the board,” Piker said, saying that he would steal anything if it were as easy as privacy. Piker also said that he thinks people should be committing more “cool crimes,” such as bank robberies or stealing priceless artifacts.
