Following the crash of an F-15 fighter jet over Iran on Friday, a U.S. search-and-rescue operation was launched as one of the crew was evading hostile capture by Iranian forces. Iran was hunting for him and offered a reward for anyone who turned in the “enemy pilot.” A second crew member was rescued earlier.
President Trump announced via Truth Social the missing airman was rescued:
“FROM PRESIDENT DONALD J. TRUMP – WE GOT HIM! My fellow Americans, over the past several hours, the United States Military pulled off one of the most daring Search and Rescue Operations in U.S. History, for one of our incredible Crew Member Officers, who also happens to be a highly respected Colonel, and who I am thrilled to let you know is now SAFE and SOUND!
This brave Warrior was behind enemy lines in the treacherous mountains of Iran, being hunted down by our enemies, who were getting closer and closer by the hour, but was never truly alone because his Commander in Chief, Secretary of War, Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, and fellow Warfighters were monitoring his location 24 hours a day, and diligently planning for his rescue.
At my direction, the U.S. Military sent dozens of aircraft, armed with the most lethal weapons in the World, to retrieve him. He sustained injuries, but he will be just fine. This miraculous Search and Rescue Operation comes in addition to a successful rescue of another brave Pilot, yesterday, which we did not confirm, because we did not want to jeopardize our second rescue operation.
This is the first time in military memory that two U.S. Pilots have been rescued, separately, deep in Enemy Territory. WE WILL NEVER LEAVE AN AMERICAN WARFIGHTER BEHIND! The second raid came after the first one, where we rescued the pilot in broad daylight, also unusual, spending seven hours over Iran. An AMAZING show of bravery and talent by all!

There was for me an instant, unmistakable parallel between this moving portrait of Christ searching for and finding the lost lamb, Aggie, and the missing, injured lost pilot in hostile terrain, praying that he would be found but no doubt reconciling himself to the possibility of falling into evil, barbaric hands.

Look closer. AI generated or not, there are only 5 fingers. Between his watch and the knuckles of his left hand, there’s some bandage material wrapped around that part of that hand. It appears that a small portion of the bandage is rolled up a bit along the outside edge of that hand causing a slight elongated bulge that may resemble a finger to someone not noticing the bandage.
To my observation, the thing that potentially points to AI is the fact that Commander in Chief Trump said the Colonel was seriously injured; which, that image shows no apparent evidence of.

Been quite awhile since I posted here but your “if half the stories are true” prompted me to visit a site I *happen to be very familiar with Texas sub vet (I take your former USN? Me too).
At any rate I think it fair to say there’s a heckuva larger number of stories that ain’t even appeared yet owing, primarily to, the journalists asking the questions don’t know enough of the subject matter to know how to properly frame the questions. (Recall we had ringside seats to the same phenomena back during the Covid Hysteria?)
Above I read a comment from somebody possibly suspecting AI “owing to the fact” that the CinC said the FSO was ‘seriously injured but didn’t show any obvious injury – well that and a possibility of the guy having six fingers.
I think we owe it to the FSO to review what we “know” of the facts (1) the guy is just minding his own business (which is looking down intently and listening to comms just as intently) seated in the back of of an aircraft traveling at a velocity of 500+ mph. (2) Very suddenly his intense concentration is interrupted by a sound likely somewhat similar to the ‘roaring of a hundred trains’ tornado which has, along its path intersected the aforementioned F-15s path – bearing in mind the F-15’s is necessarily at least somewhat perpendicular – anyway there’s this roaring wind howl followed immediately by a maelstrom of anything not strapped down (yeah I know, it’s “supposed to be” – but the fact is … well sometimes it ain’t (3) Suddenly the front canopy disappears followed in a timeframe measured in milliseconds by the entire front seat – accompanied by, presumably, its occupant. (4a) *One of the unknowns – so far – is we don’t have a clue as how “joined at the hip” this aircrew actually was. (4b) Neither is it yet known just how clued in the FSO was to the line of dots that led him into finding himself in the direst of situations which, in his case was to, likewise to the frontseater, find himself violently rocketed *upward, repeating the pattern of perpendicularity as noted in (2).
Anyway so as to not get boring – Folks that experience weren’t no regular Silver Dollar City carnival ride – Nosiree!

Somewhere, I saw the clip of President Trump giving a speech early in term 1. Not sure where or when, but the immediate background behind him was filled with military men, possibly graduating cadets – no civilians in the frame. Early into the speech, some can be seen whispering to one another, and then they all turned around and walked out. Trump may not even have been aware as he never broke cadence or turned around.
The President should summon each and every one of them, individually, to The Whitehouse, and in the Oval Office, play that video to them and then ask them this question : how would you like to account for your actions that day ?

The air base that the special forces set up was only 50km from the City Centre of Isfahan, a city with about 2.2m inhabitants. The IRGC couldn’t prevent an enemy ad-hoc airfield half an hour drive from one of the largest cities in country.
The anger and profanity President Trump presented on Easter makes me wonder why behave like this? What drove his anger to such a strong level on this day, when in recent prior days he has uttered the word God as if he wanted Him on his side and believed He was? One can rally the troops, inform the enemy and make no mistake the leadership of Iran has been our enemy for 47 years, just waiting to get a couple nuclear bombs placed on top of accurate long range missiles, of his displeasure and sincere intent to end their capability of doing such.

It’s all good, but it is a serious liability to put so much value on a single military asset.
The colonel is an asset.
All military assets are expendable.
If a single human asset is so valuable that it cannot be lost, then send robots or do not go to war.
That asset as a person is certainly more than an asset to his family, friends, and fellow soldiers, but having a policy of no expense or risk spared to recover or rescue a soldier is a serious liability and one that an enemy can take advantage of.
Israel has repeatedly been played by its enemies for decades because of that liability.
