The Bureau of Labor and Statistics (BLS) has released the March employment report [DATA HERE] reflecting gains of 186,000 private sector jobs, with another 8,000 federal government jobs eliminated. Net gain 178,000 jobs.
Forecasters had anticipated around 63,000 net jobs gained: the actual result triples expectations.
This is a challenging time to use data to estimate overall employment strength, mainly due to the repatriation efforts underway that are removing illegal alien workers from the labor force.
As deportation efforts continue against the black-market workforce, in combination with targeting efforts toward fraudulent ‘mismatched’ social security records used to gain unlawful -albeit visible- market employment, it becomes challenging to quantify net realized job gains.
The overall goal is to remove the illegal alien workers, reestablish organic job market pressures to increase wages and pull American workers from the sidelines back into the labor market. Removing illegal workers drives up real wages, that should (re)incentivize the labor market. As these efforts continue, we are seeing wide variances, upward and downward swings, depending on the collection timing.
One of the positive aspects during this employment cycle is the reduction in the overall federal labor force. Overall, in the past year, President Trump has removed 271,000 federal jobs more than reversing all of the govt jobs added during Joe Biden’s term in office. This trend should continue.
(Via CBS) – Employers added 178,000 jobs in March, blowing past forecasts as job market rebounds. The March employment report beat consensus economic forecasts of 60,000 payroll gains last month, according to FactSet.
The unemployment rate dipped to 4.3% in March, down from 4.4% in the prior month.
The latest payroll gains mark a sharp reversal from February, when employers unexpectedly cut jobs amid signs of a slowing labor market. Friday’s report revised the reduction to 133,000, far larger than the 92,000 originally reported. February’s weak numbers were partially due to strikes in the health care industry and winter storms. The military is hiring as well.
US Army raises maximum recruitment age to 42 years
1w • 2 min read
The U.S. Army is raising the maximum enlistment age for eligible recruits from 35 years to 42, with the move set to go into effect on April 20.
The Army will also allow individuals with only one marijuana-related or drug paraphernalia conviction to enlist, among other changes announced in a memo released last week.

The most powerful and technologically advanced army in the world has just acknowledged that it cannot find enough soldiers. This week, the United States Army made a decision that might go unnoticed. Starting April 20, it will raise the maximum enlistment age from 35 to 42 years and remove restrictions for people with minor records for marijuana possession.

The job and payroll statistics are noisy, and often are revised in the following months. How many jobs are going to US Citizens and not to visa hires?
Any little glimmer of good news is welcome at this point. Just be glad he didn’t send the jobs to Israel.
You’re half right. Job numbers DO always get revised later-but in different directions depending upon the political party of the President.
Leaving out that important factoid renders your statement less than accurate.

President Donald J Trump proves Pat Buchanan was right every day.
It was never free trade but in reality was managed trade to screw us.
When George Soros speaks, he is speaking for the anti-American Council On Foreign Relations which is the American branch of London’s Chatham House.
The economic treason of “Free Trade” was written and pushed by the Globalist traitors from the Council On Foreign Relations
Soros is the low hanging fruit. The Rockefellers are one of the insidious people hiding in the shadows . Behind every globalist organization today one can find the Rockefellers as either a founding member or major financier. Our big pharma oriented medical system such as supporting the Flexner Report which marginalized alternative medicine by placing the emphasis on allopathic medicine because allopathic medicines were , for the most part, using petroleum in some form of their process. The Rockefellers donated the land for the UN HQ in NYC and are founders of almost everyone climate change cult parading around today. Rockefeller was one of the founders of the Council on Foreign Relations..
👍 💯 🎯 And a whole lot more unspeakably evil activities. This is a tough read, sorry, but we must avoid obfuscation if our culture is to survive.
https://elizabethnickson.substack.com/p/the-fabian-sneer-how-american-sexuality-e88
Note the alleged requirement for a Rockefeller to obtain permission from a Rothschild at one point. Not too many layers of psycho-lizard Satanist pedophiles above those creatures.
The Rothchilds and the Rockefellers—all seven deadly sins rolled up into two families with immense power and wealth.
Their judgment will come.
A good read but not.being a student of.the.Fabians it lacks citations.to go deeper non the.less their is some.good evidence.on display to wet.the.appetite
The Rothschilds are the greatest threat and have been for generations. They are the puppet masters beholden to Satan.
You are correct that the Rockefellers were an integral part of the planned demise/rape of the USA.
Yet, the family are “newbies” when compared to the Oligarchs in England Europe.
The families there are ancient and deliberately cleverly hide behind indescript NGOS’s and other nice sounding institutions.
The UN for example is a cesspool.
I say kick it out of NYC and let those who still admire it, to pay for it.
Relocate it to Paraguay or even North Korea.
Wait for it Soros and his cronies will slay themselves
Serious question, one I’ve been asking myself for a while and would really, really like answered: What is in this for George Soros? It has to be more than more money. Power? Control? Is he truly the evil Global Overloard? Is he just trying to see if he can really do it? Help me out here, please
Soros along with Klaus Schwab and people like them, have different visions and beliefs for the future of the world. Just like everyone else, including on here, believe what they want and it’s difficult to change that mindset, even if you hand them documents to prove them otherwise.
Personally for me, I live by two rules, (1) You either want it, or, (2) You don’t! This applies to all things.
So why does Someone like me love these three subjects – Law, Trading and Global Economics?
Because I spent years studying and learning them!
Why do most people hate what I love above?
Because they didn’t!
And that’s okay too.
Martyarism.
Wants to be known in history for being the person that lead the Communist Socialists take over of the United States of America.
He is THAT evil Globalist Overlord you speak of.
Some men just want to watch the world burn.
Alfred Pennyworth
Exactly!
You heard that old saying, ‘ I would rather rule in hell than serve in heaven’ well Sora$$ wants to be one of those that rules in hell.
The CFR is the American branch of a society. That society is named Pilgram Society and has been messing around in our country for a long time. The Pilgram Society’s filthy fingers are all over the problems we have had in the USA.
We never really got rid of Britain.
Hold on there PILGRIM, what about the Bilderbergers and the Freemasons and other numerous groups?
Its an octopus. They are of the same source, it all came out of Britain, which is in a long line of Empires that goes back to Babylon. Pilgrim does not mean the pilgrim’s that land on Plymouth Rock.
That is why an Angle in Heaven says Babylon has fallen!
Thanks for not correcting me on my spelling.
We cannot allow the Chinese to own American real estate, particularly farmland.
With so much hostility in the world today, this should be extended to all countries.
And Soros should be thrown the hell out of this country. As one who funds antifa, why is he still free? His son too.
“His son too.” correction, that should be plural, there are two.
CFR approved Muslim Brotherhood agent. They will work with Communists, nazis, Jihadists, crime cartels etc What they did to the Holocaust victim Serbs is a great example
CRINGE!
No truer words, fisheggs. The propagandists spread the WEF lies. A true free trade agreement would be one page long, at the most.
“The concept of global warming was created by and for the Chinese in order to make U.S. manufacturing non-conpetitive”
That is certainly a reasonable suspicion. Has anyone actually laid out the details to prove it? Link?
“We reward our friends and punish our enemies”: Jimmy Hoffa (teamsters).
Also, the cut to the chase playbook for any and all Democrats. Hoffa’s statement fits exactly into
the thought process/ mix for the Chinese, and how to destroy a country by 100 thousand cuts,
while portraying it as virtous.
Look up the definition of “graft”. It always boils down to stacking the deck so your friends
make more money, have an unfair advantage.
Graft in my neck of the woods? Bamboozle the rubes by creating things such as tree retention
or drainage ordinances. These are put in place so that they can be disregarded by the people
slipping you money under the table. Instead of having any tree more then 7 inches in diamter
retained, the big boys look the other way while everything is cut clear. Allowing you to have
2-3 more lots to build on vs those that don’t matter. Same type of thinking on acceptable drainage.
1/4 acre retention for 12 homes for plebs building vs 80 square feet for 56 townhomes on land
owned by former country comissioners.
The template is simple. Do some homeowork, figure out who gets the mine and who gets the shaft.
Ad rem: Can you reformat for probably the 50th time?
Sorry I’m dangerous near a keyboard. Thanks.
I got out of active politics in Fairfax County 30 years ago after discovering that both parties were doing this with zoning exceptions [controled by the county board] denied on properties for years until the property changed hands. Then the same plan would come back and pass unanymously.
They were one party of crooks pretending to the public to be two parties.
Been there, done that. The most extreme example was a rezoning for apartments near me.
Brought up petititions, had comissioner tell me in confidence that the former superitendent
had begged them to stall further mutlifamily rezonings as it was “killing the schools”. Duh.
Had the rezonings rescheduled 7 different times. A local attorney handled the opposition
to the rezonings. Said attorney supplied office space/ materials for the comissioners supposedly
in opposition to her. Sweet. ( Also, always wondered about billable hours generated, because
the stalling I witnessed in numerous rezonings would have surely ran up the meter).
Anyway, the rezoning passed un opposed. I resigned as being the community conscience
shortly thereafter. And went back to working overtime to help feed my family.
UniParty
Global warming and/or climate change is the greatest scam of the last 50+years or so.
yup. they never name it what it is. rigged trade is called “free trade.”
If it is free trade, why do they need to negotiate it?
To ensure that the “right people” are “free” to make money and take power from the negotiated deals.
Free to screw me and you.
And they sure did!
Exactly right and I used to argue successfully that Pat Buchanan was the real environmentalist Presidential candidate in the 90’s. I could make the exact same case for PDJT
The concept of “Free Trade” has always been a misnomer. Within the country, we certainly want the trade between citizens to be as free and unencumbered as possible – that is a sign of a healthy economy and the resulting economic dynamic better prepares the country to compete in the world economy.
But on the international level, where we’re dealing with nation states, each supposedly acting in its best interests, we’re closer to a Hobbes-ian State of Nature where the strongest survive and dominate and the weak do not. You cannot, as a self-interested nation state, have totally free trade in such an environment, not unless you’re placing yourself on a platter to be another state’s colony or protectorate. Trade in that environment always comes with the understanding that you make the best deals possible to leverage your own country’s advantages and diminish its disadvantages. Trump 2.0 has been a textbook example of how it should be done.
The Usurper’s regime (and Bush’s and Obama’s et al.) signaled for years that the U.S. was open for business – that is, for sale to the highest bidder, Americans and their jobs be damned. Trump 2.0 has declared that the U.S. is open for business – on our terms, in our best interests, and you can benefit from participation in the largest and most dynamic economy in the world or sit on the sidelines and be swept aside.
See the difference?
J
Ditto human rights!
That’s because there’s no such thing as free trade. It’s fools gold and make for a good theoretical debate, until you toss in the real world components of namely governmental corruption. Until the day humans can assure unabated fairness then I’ll stick with build it home in the USA.
I don’t think it was a mistake. The Clintons were bought, and they sold out the country. The Bushes, father and son, were not much if any better.
Clinton was Council On Foreign Relations like his co-Conspirator Speaker NAFTA Newt the arch-fabian traitor of the Uniparty for the 90’s
Every time you call out NAFTA Newt, decepticon extraordinaire, friend of Faux News, I just
cant help but to smile. Thank you for all your spot on posts.
Your a treasure friend lolli. Its because of Treepers like you that I try and do what I do. Slainte
See the above on “graft”.
God bless Pat Buchanan, and God bless President Trump.
Pat and us Buchanan Brigaders have been amongst his staunchest supporters from the beginning.
Free trade for everybody else! We were paying staggering tariffs to sell our products to other nations. If they would even accept our products, at all. Our EU “allies” were literally raw-dogging us dry for decades on trade!
As someone trained in Economics, I am often embarrassed by the profession. It is called the “dismal science” for a reason.
I never saw anyone from the economics school transfer into the physics department.
It’s why the Uniparty selected critters in DC and at the state level, along with their paid off “influencers,” are in a constant state of getting Trump; it’s not a coincidence that there’s been a constant drum beat of Trump this, Trump that, not what Trump said, Trump’s failing, Trump lied, look Epstein files…..yes, the fatigue is real.
Hassett, the happy warrior.
Such a pleasant fellow to watch and hear speak.
Deportations will also help our Jobs report numbers while reducing those harmful and hateful Co2 emissions we are continuously told by Globul Warmist Nazis, America (but not China/Asia) has to reduce to ‘save’ the planet. Deportations and PDJT’s return of the American System will restore some of what was treasonously done by the traitors who pushed and signed NAFTA, WTO, CAFTA,etc etc

Demographics through the immigration treason is another story.
The Forgotten American System
https://theimaginativeconservative.org/2025/01/forgotten-american-system-thomas-maino.html
While I understand that that President Trump is pulling a hundred levers to MAGA and ensure that Economic Security is National Security, the quickest impact to the people living everyday, struggling paycheck to paycheck or trying to get launched post schooling, is deporting illegals and ending H1B.
Immigration has been my #1 issue and why I was intially drawn to pat Buchanan’s campaigns. If you have been following my long running series of Yugoslavian wars fomented by the Globalists posts, they were a test run to do to almost every Western Nazarene Christian nation that they can. We are the orthodox Christian Serbian peoples. They want to exterminate us.

My son has been looking for work in IT for over a year. He went to school, has certifications up the wazoo but cant break in to an entry level job because remote employment killed those and AI bots reading resumes & H1B1 visas killed the rest. Hes disgusted, as am I. I raised him for a world that no longer exists. I was so hopeful this time around with Trump, but it all went out the window. His heart may be in the right place but the voters kept the same RINOS as term 1. Theres no money left to pursue another career path. Its disgusting.
It’s the tech industry right now. The big layoffs are in tech and retail. IT has been tough since the 90s. It’s a lot of feast or famine. I know people in the industry in Texas and California that have spent the last 15 years constantly switching companies/jobs due to layoffs, reorgs, and mergers.
The last couple of years have been incredibly hard for new grads in all fields, and tech has been downright ugly. I expect the finance grads to face similar prospects in the next several years due to AI.
It is unfortunate but the industry is going through big changes of which no one could foresee. I wish your son well.
Many never work in the field that their degrees were issued in. I graduated from college in ’92 with a degree in Business Finance. I did own and manage several small businesses over the years. I spent the last 14 years working as a California Correctional Peace Officer (CO) before retiring at 52. I got bored in retirement so I now buy properties that I rehab then rent out. My oldest son never went to college but at age 22 is knocking on the door of a six figure income in corporate restaurant management. He is one of or the youngest manager they have in their system. We live in a low cost of living state so that salary goes even farther. All of that to say, it is time to ignore the direction of the degree/career path and pivot in another direction. Many jobs just want a degree. Any degree.
I agree with MJ. My son never used his JD but it helped open the door for his other vocation. They say the best rodeo clowns are the ones who spent three years in law school.
And I agree with you. I haven’t tried being a rodeo clown but I guess my J.D. qualifies me. When I hear anyone say that they or their children or their grandchildren are thinking about law school, I suggest they have their future clown call me so I can talk them out of it. Many of the kids I see going in to law school are still on their parents’ payroll and doing it to avoid unemployment
“Many jobs just want a degree. Any degree.”
^^^THIS^^^
Unfortunately, a diploma from a public high school is basically worthless in many fields and so employers are looking for a two year (AA) degree as a minimum requirement for a lot of jobs. My son has a BA in History and is a police officer in a large city, which has a starting salary of $120K for LEOs. When he started 10 years ago, the city would not consider anyone without a degree or at least four years military experience. Now, since the mass exodus of officers from 2020 onwards, they have relaxed their hiring requirements and sadly, it shows!
‘Make High School and College Degrees Real Again’ would help a lot.
Yes, sometimes education is good. My wife, myself and my two children all have degrees from Universities. Sometimes the degree shows that you may apply yourself. My daughter is a police commander of detectives in a metropolitan WA area. My son is a military pilot (Apache & Chinook) stationed in the South. We have lived in a small isolated WA village for 50 years and I would also recommend the trades for employment…bill
Small isolated Washington Village… I could make a few guesses!
I was born and raised in Seattle, back when it was safe, clean, and well run. Although always more libertarian leaning on social issues, Washington was a great place to live, back in the day!
As long as our kids and grandkids are here, we will stay but if they go we will follow them!
Wonder if your daughter and my son know each other? 🤔😉
Cheers to you lady. No doubt, law enforcement is a small group…bill
100%.
For most, a degree is a high class work permit; it tells a prospective employer that you can start something and finish it successfully and on time, and in STEM type fields, that you have some basics under your belt. Beyond that, one must educate themselves…continually…(‘never stop learning’ was my fathers admonition) and find what you are truly meant to do then go do it, whether a trade or business or service, which may change over time as opportunity or desire evolves. Point is, never waste your God-given talents once discovered.
You are correct. What many people don’t talk about is continuous education. Certificates from trade schools and specific training for specific jobs is often overlooked by HR. Smart managers know these people can hit the ground running and prefer people that educate themselves by searching out those little known professional training schools.
Mike Rowe is one of the few people who advocate skills over book learning. A brain can be replaced by AI and computers but well skilled hands will always be in demand.
Absolutely agree 100%.
Do not waste money on Indoctrination schools.
Take your god given innate talents, develop them in trade schools, put them to work in society and watch your successes in life flourish.
Greetings! If I may ask, which California Correctional facility did you work at? I was a DDS at CRC for 8 years then at Heman G Stark YCF for 14.
Here’s an interview with Mike Rowe your son may be interested in. It’s under 2 minutes.
https://x.com/TheChiefNerd/status/2038315756845175002
I know you said there’s no money for a career change but I heard a different interview on a Chicago radio station and the owner of the company said he offered well paid apprenticeships with benefits and couldn’t get anyone to fill them.
He said his company wasn’t the only one with the same problem of finding people willing to learn trades work. If he’s interested, have him seek out apprenticeships in his area. Good luck to you and him.
My son-in-law has foregone all that IT stuff and is headed for a school that will get him a high paying job as a lineman.
I have a few post-graduate degrees (to be honest, I could be a professional student) but am a huge advocate of trade schools for a financially rewarding, independent lifestyle without the staggering debt. I recently met with some state legislators about more opportunities for trade education in our state. I gave them a list of about 20 services desperately needed by our rapidly growing incoming population that need to be addressed by the state education commission. Just one small example, in a mild climate state with over 350 golf courses there is exactly one course management program located in a rather remote location. Another example of education playing catch-up rather than leading the field in innovations.
I have a friend who is a lineman. He is 86 and would like to retire but the company begs him to stay on. He doesn’t climb anymore but his value is knowing how to get the job done right.
I’m a huge fan of Mike Rowe and have been watching him quite a lot lately. I loved his recent talk with Jeff Childers of Coffee & COVID fame
If you have no career at sunk cost, then any job/career is a net win.
It doesn’t take that long or cost that much money to learn a trade at a trade school, or get paid to learn a trade as an apprentice.
All I can offer is my son’s story, Cindy…
He spent four years and $$$ getting a degree in a field which was never going to allow him a path to prosperity. A few years after graduation when the reality couldn’t be avoided, he joined the Navy where he became an aviation technician which surprised…no..shocked us as he had never exhibited any interest or ability in such things. After his service he signed on to a small Texas HVAC company while he went to night school to earn his qualifications. God bless the owner of that company for giving him the chance.
Our lad had found his niche. Subsequently a major national hired him where he has gone from strength to strength and earns a very good living. One more so than ever his degree would have allowed him to. He is rightly proud of his “dirty hands and finger nails” and the appreciation he receives for his work by those who employ him.
My point which I hope you…and your son… will take to heart…
Often times, the roads we travel, feel comfortable on, and then find are suddenly blocked lead us to another which is a better one. As God continues to write his story as He does with each of us, my suggestion is to try not focus on this unwelcome and disappointing development. I understand more than you might imagine that’s a big ask…and hard.
Encourage him to (hate the phrase) “think outside the box” he finds himself in, to areas of employment he has heretofore not even considered. Even unto perhaps the military for a stint which might direct him to a place which opens worlds for him. The benefits which became available to my own son paid for his HVAC training.
Your son has not reached a dead end. I hope he explores other paths and finds the one he was meant to be on next. No one’s road in this life is a straight one. There are valleys and there are hills, twists and unexpected turns.
As a mother who knows this truth only too well, I pray he will consider, then find a career which perhaps was meant for him all along.
Wishing the best for him and a most Bless-ed Easter for your family. B
Best post of the day Betsy. Wish I could give it more than 1 like.
Public schools should include more “industrial education” to expose students to vocational trades. That way students may get a chance to discover that they may like such a thing.
That said, trades aren’t for everyone. They aren’t jobs that anyone can do. Also, I do think those jobs need to improve their culture to attract more people that aren’t “stereotypical” tradesmen.
All in all, I feel we need a more diversified economy where most jobs offer on the job training rather than a system where schools do it.
Continue to be a great parent to him either way. The trades are where the jobs are at. Electrician would probably be a good objective. Why??? if he’s IT qualified then his math skills would easily put him in line for all things electrical. A great many of us have changed course because the job market changes. Main thing stay positive and flexible. JMO 😉
I’m not particularly fond of being a widower. Would have been nice to have someone to grow old with.
Two things my late wife did that I’m not happy about. Dying at 59, and talking my daughter out of going
to school to be an electrician. My daughter could be flourishing, but, instead she’s still living at home,
underemployed at 28.
This is a great idea! I will suggest this. Thank you all 🙂
I would suggest a different attitude may help. Being disgusted isn’t a way to portray yourself or your son to prospective employers. Failure should be a learning experience that gives you optimism and resumes should show that.
IT is used in so many jobs and industries that an open mind would consider it endless opportunities. I’ll give you some. Modern homes are being built with whole house management systems connected to computers and internet. No AI is going to install wires and plug together all the systems that make these tech homes function. Here’s another one. Fishing boats! Yes, IT is needed for today”s modern electronics in boats. Did you know that fish finders, trolling motors, GPS, mapping, auto pilots, and other functions are increasingly connected with networks in the bass boats you see running around out there?
There are many IT jobs out there if your son is capable of handwork that no robot or AI can replace. Here’s more. Learn to weld and then look for a job designing, installing, or managing, industrial welding robots in the network connected factories that are being built as a result of the Trump policies. Machine tools, 3D printers, environmental HVAC systems, and even automated cleaning machines all need IT backgrounds. Learn plumbing and look for work as a building or factory systems engineer that uses IT to monitor and control flow of air, water, and materials.
Your son must sell himself to get a job and many sales people know 99 out of a 100 times you get told NO. An optimist would say the closer you get to a hundred no’s, the better your chance of getting a yes.
The trend in reducing gubment jobs better continue.
you can kinda see the “illegal” removal components in the numbers in those areas that have grown most to replace them, i would assume: manufacturing, transport, hospitality….
while IT/tech, finance are shrinking.
healthcare growing for other (obvious) reasons or is that illegal replacement too?
The healthcare numbers are being driven by two factors: 1) an aging population that, naturally, consumes more healthcare and 2) the continued extension of gross amounts of Gov’t subsidies that disconnect pricing, cost and quality from any market mechanism. Sprinkle fraud on top and you have a boom!
The one driving force behind that “ACA”, was the alleged increase in aging boomers, IMHO, Boomers are healthier today than 30 years ago…there are strict regs for their admissions to hospitals, and outpatient care for Cardiac, Diabetic, Thyroid, Blood Pressure and Sepsis issues, the top drivers for admissions, have improved…yet, my experience, recent experience…
Hospital admissions, especially to the ICU, for boomers, are more driven by the INADEQUATE NURSING CARE patients receive in nursing homes.
these comments are based on my personal experience…
“the INADEQUATE NURSING CARE patients receive in nursing homes.”
I strongly suspect that is due to inadequate actual patient care staffing because of the excessive cost of all of the “Administrators” in paper pusher positions.
My wife is a RN in a hospital, she would 100% agree with you on nursing homes.
The lack of market style decision making has destroyed the healthcare delivery world. Removing the buyer from decisions related to cost is borderline Marxism, which is exactly what Medicare and Zerocare really are.
Non-administrative healthcare jobs are very important, but I personally think its not good for it to be such a large sector of our economy.
Hospital administrators are paid like you would not believe. The head of Miam Valley Hospital,
in Dayton was making $172, 000 a year in 1984. With an onsite mansion to live in. He didn’t use it
(Dayton schools suck), but it was good for lavish parties.
Left out multi generational immigrant families. RN friends tell me regularly how much of
their patient load is in taking care of non english speaking elderly family members of
immigrant families from flat near everywhere.
But one hopes it is not temporary. Here’s this:

thats why i remain curious about the wall – lost in other headlines lately. it is a very important component of our future needs. even if emperor newsom swings the gates open like they’ve done in the past, it funnels them through more detectable and controllable means, should someone else be willing to step up to secure the former republic.
Asylum issues…aren’t they supposed to stay in the first country they reach on the journey…for assylum?
This breakage is the root of the free ride to the US, but our NGOs are the bypass switch.
Foreign nurses used to be highly regulated…as were the American nurses, more so…seven ways to Schumer’s Sunday…
TPTB in health care have sung the same song, for at least a half century….not enough nurses…they don’t tell you why.
And nurses leave nursing at the same rate that people leave Blue States, IMO.
Unsafe working conditions that make rendering adequate patient care next to impossible…and that is due to short staffing and low wages that are not adequate with regards to education and experience, then add the hostile work environment, perpetuated by those in nursing management roles. Then, the ANA plays both sides of the coin….
Health care near my ‘hood…there have been nurses brought in to a Chicagoland hospital, privately owned hospital allegedly failing… , from England, Ireland and India….now those from England and Ireland, are not like us…they are from places like India and Pakistan…its just that getting the necessary creds are easier to obtain from Ireland (easiest) and England (takes much longer), Pakistan, who knows? And its very hard to understand them when they speak English, the accents are very heavy.
I am thinking that the programs that brought in many, the many nurses, from the Philippines, have …reached sunset status…there are very few now.
Moral of this story? Get business out of the American health care business.
I crammed a 4 1/2 year BSN into 3 years, 145 semester credits…never worked outside of health care since then…
as I approach retirement, am thinking of the Garden Center at Menards or Home Depot…
“unexpectedly”
We need some new expecterers.
Every Illegal job lost will help the US Economy. Much of the money was repatriated to their home country and did nothing for the US economy except hold down wages. This report is a huge win for Main Street Americans.
“Healthcare and Social assistance” – 89.9. The category with the greatest gain.
Most it’s funding from Medicaid and Medicare. Regressive.
We need the big gains to come from manufacturing and construction.
Part of that equation is that healthcare has massive numbers of job openings.
Apparently a lot of Americans are sick or unhealthy for that to be the case, which is likely as so-called healthcare has become a massive self-perpetuating business Leviathon…needs to be trimmed back.
AI: “In the United States, this industry includes over 511,000 jobs in Minnesota alone”. Minnesota! That says it all.
This has been the case for 20 years at least. I live in Pittsburgh. If you aren’t familiar, the steel industry was largely replace by healthcare. My friend from childhood works in a US Steel Plant, but other him I know no one who works in the mills. I know at least 15 people that work in healthcare.
YES! Gains from actual careers that produce something for our economy.
These medicaid/care positions are created to grow government and are anti real job growth. Regressive, like you said.
I really never pay attention to the Health and Social sector of the reports. The real numbers for measurement comes from the Manufacturing and Construction. That’s MAGA/MAHA.
My old local criminal County Democrat government is a prefect example. They used to have 4 people run the administration arm of the Parks Dept, now they have hundreds.
Knowing the media they won’t even mention this and will instead focus on all the death and destruction going on in the Middle East.
I hate that federal numbers are lumped in with real private numbers.
Want good jobs numbers? Hire federal workers and hide that real jobs were lost.
Want good economic numbers? Spend deficit money. Spending money you don’t have makes the economy bigger.
Want a healthy economy and real jobs? Be careful, or you will be attacked for losing jobs and reducing the GDP because you need to stop deficit spending and fire government workers to get there.
But, but, The gas prices are Oh So high that no employer can afford to hire employees, sob, sob (S/).
“Missed it by that much, Chief.
‘Unexpectedly’.“
Another thing that has come into play is the high tech sector lay offs due to A.I. and robotics. It’s going to be a tough balanciing act for sure.
People where I live are still struggling financially with the high gas and grocery prices, also increased insurance costs. To most where I live, the economy is horrible. These are people who just make ends meet, and don’t have a lot of wiggle room.
Not to be a Debbie Downer. I suspect bringing manufacturing home and revitalizing the economy in rural areas will take time and patience.
And we’ll still have folks who can’t make ends meet to be recruited by politicians promising a fix to the dastardly system that screwed them. This isnt new phenomenon, nor is finding a very good job newly difficult.
I think this has actually been the case forever.
To be honest, the A.I you speak of is the excuse for the layoffs. If, what you described above, which I do NOT doubt is true, then walk through that process. If people barely have wiggle room struggling right now, what effects will that place on Businesses who survive on selling merchandise? When people cut back, they spend on the most critical points of survival. We are not talking about rich or comfortable money but the majority of those just trying to survive.
Companies won’t hire and when layoffs occur, who ever didn’t get laid off, will end up with more hours, increasing the uptick in pay reports. When states raise the minimum wages, like what is happening, companies will layoff employees just to survive.
Not everything is this simple, there’s a cause and effect that most never consider.
I could go on and on but I’m sure you get the idea.
178,000 net jobs gained is still far below the eleventy-billion jobs saved or created every month by 0bama and Potato. (/sarc)
Yep, they sure had the “fuzzy math” working for them, didn’t they?
Indeed, I recall the meme to be “saved or created”. Hmmm, where’s the net in that cloud?
Fantastic news. But…
Speaking of jobs. Some people need to loose theirs. The fact that they don’t even understand the optics are terrible says these people don’t deserve the office they hold.
The irony they chose Scotland.
Ps, hate posting from my phone… I get murdered by autocorrect, lol.
Loose = lose. 🙄
“One of the positive aspects during this employment cycle is the reduction in the overall federal labor force. Overall, in the past year, President Trump has removed 271,000 federal jobs more than reversing all of the govt jobs added during Joe Biden’s term in office. This trend should continue.”
Trend must continue…goverment needs to shrink biggly! Completely out of control…
Bullshit. Here in Texas the jobs are all going to Indians and Muslims, our towns are being flooded with Mosques. So many cities have completely changed in the last 10 years. Thank Abbott and our Federal Government, white people are being eliminated.
Yes, I am not seeing positive changes where I live. Crime has only increased and jobs are not for whites.
I have not noticed any less illegals or cartel crime. Increasing in my area. I am not sure why. But it is noticeable.
Ice could just sit on a corner here, and never run out of illegals to arrest. The mosques can all be laid at Abbotts feet along
with lying Ted. They know they sold us out. It’s not as if they weren’t aware.
We can vote all day long, but we still have the calibrated machines that determine the count.
Color me shocked when I went to the Scots-Irish museum and saw tons of invaders. Too many to be picking fruits and vegggies
Being a native Texan, some migrant work has always been a way of life here. No big deal.
But this ain’t that, that is for sure.
I do believe most would not have come or stayed if they got nothing from our govt. Our govt
invited them, paid them, and now sustain them. It ends when the money ends. The ones working
are not near the problem as the ones who live off of our hard earned money. End the IRS. End the handouts for
non citizens and we would thrive.
State of Emergency: The Third World Invasion… by Patrick J. Buchanan · Audiobook preview
Thanks, Colkitto.
Good refresh. History foretells the future. It’s human nature.
Hosea 4:6 “My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge”.
Imo, everything goes hand in hand.
And Buchanan was too honest and patriotic to ever be allowed to be President.
Jessica Tarlov will not be happy.
Well that sounds nice….
In the mean time, the company I worked for up until Apr 1 just fired their entire 30 person Information Security department…
Everyone….
Often – and stupidly – the first department to go.
I agree…
This, after one of the most public hacking of an industry peer which wiped out EVERYTHING…..
Stupid is what stupid does…they won’t last a year….
They believe an MSSP is going to cover the gaps….
As well as the two contractors located in ….CHINA….
Check in the box security wins again…..
H1B is the National threat hidden in these numbers.
Jobs to Indians and their relatives and friends are not good numbers.
Our good Treeper friend, JWoo, has a very good handle on the scams run by the IT folks, HiB types from India, job availability and online application processes, …from her perspective of being a Hoosier in Hoosierland.
To summarize on line sites are in cahoots with other online sites, applications are screened and non India types are not offered jobs.
I wonder if the cheat is limited to one particular nationality.
And it makes me wonder….is it too late to change that?
So, what’s with the 90,000 Health Care and Social Assistance jobs? Sounds like taxpayer funded jobs.
So with Minnesota having the most jobs in this category, 511,000, I wager a large portion of these newly employed social assistance jobs were filled by Somali Minnisotians, and Texas Islamic radicals and the companies they work for have thousands of deceased people as their patients.
President Trump has removed 271,000 federal jobs more than reversing all of the govt jobs added during Joe Biden’s term in office. Yes yes yes!!
Also, aside from deportation helping with job openings, all of our lives (housing, hospitals, public schools, AFFORDABILTY, deaths by car accident, deaths by “being in the wrong place at the wrong time” b/c an illegal with zero self control and a very dark heart was there at the same time) will improve.
Excellent post Silver. Just a little “assist” from me. Cheers
The ‘Thieves in Armani’ that stole our money by using rules and tactics they made up to profit for themselves, are hoping that raising the ‘retirement age’ (whatever that is) to receive “benefits” (aka OUR MONEY taken by figurative bayonet) means some will die off in the meantime, therefore reducing the receiver pool. Always follow the money and the grifter for a proper answer as to ‘the why’.
Employers who hire illegal aliens need to be fined. Hold them accountable.
And here I thought there was already a law for that! What was all the I9 forms employers are to process to avoid the cheat? Weren’t there fines imposed for hiring illegal aliens? Oh congress, when do you ever do your job?
I’m guessing these numbers will not require the level of revision that Slow Joe’s did.
𝐊𝐄𝐕𝐈𝐍 𝐇𝐀𝐒𝐒𝐄𝐓𝐓: “𝐓𝐇𝐄 𝐆𝐎𝐋𝐃𝐄𝐍 𝐀𝐆𝐄 𝐈𝐒 𝐂𝐎𝐌𝐈𝐍𝐆 𝐁𝐄𝐂𝐀𝐔𝐒𝐄 𝐎𝐅 𝐎𝐔𝐑 𝐏𝐎𝐋𝐈𝐂𝐈𝐄𝐒”

Wait a second.
So we lost 140,000 jobs in January. We lost 133,000 jobs in February. And now we suddenly gained 178,000 jobs in March?
2026 has been the 3rd worst year for job creation in the past 14 years. That’s a fact.
This report totally smells. The revision in a few weeks is going to be crazy.
As a trader, like most traders, we take all data with a grain of salt. The smart traders already know the data is manipulated to drive the markets up or down but the truth is, the markets trade to certain areas, it’s not support or resistance lines, not cup and handles, not trend lines or head and shoulder patterns, etc. that’s for the newbie’s and to people who’ve been taught over the years, many years, to believe that BS. It’s a game of perfection, algorithmic perfection! Is the game rigged? Yes. Understand that game, and win very special prizes.
A lot of federal government jobs cut in quarter 4 and first two months of the year. Those jobs made up most all of the looses.
government jobs lost because the President cut them out. Make sense? Even now, some people won’t take the good news with wait and see. What smells, is your comment.

BREAKING: ONE OF THE CREW MEMBERS HAS BEEN RESCUED IN IRAN.
THANK GOD
NOW LET’S GET THE OTHER ONE SAFE!
Cont…
only a couple million more govt jobs to eliminate.
Love that beautiful photo of the father / kids at the Trump rally. I know Sundance uses it occasionally and I’m glad this is one of those occasions. Trump is the best King any working man could ask for!
All I can say is this is what ‘righting the heeled-over economic ship’ looks like, two years ago we were taking on water over the rail…now, not so much. Despite the self-loathers always whining about anything and everything, demanding things be handed to them, Winning! does feel good. Yet no one gets a participation trophy just for being born, you have to go out and take the risk and get engaged.
But the tariffs were supposed to lead the Greater Depression 🤡
Hope this doesn’t include the protestors hired for ‘No Kings’ day. /sarc.
I interpret this to mean Trump has removed 271,000 government jobs in addition to all the Jobs Biden added – and everything is still getting done. This is both uplifting and depressing at the same time.
Very happy to hear that EIGHT THOUSAND GOVERNMENT JOBS WERE ELIMINATED!
As far as I can tell, the FERAL government is comprised of 15% ESSENTIAL employees and 85% NON-ESSENTIAL EMPLOYEES.
We need to continue to REMOVE as many NON-ESSENTIAL FEDERAL EMPLOYEES as possible.
Too soon to party. It’s spring. Construction restarting, big tax refunds, home improvements, etc. Now with high gas prices the brakes will be hit hard. Just hope they don’t last for the rest of the year.
Elephant in the room for sure.
Wall Street’s estimate was 1/3 of actual.
They are totally disconnected with reality on the street of the working people.
Then, the ribbon on RAV today says this:
“”Healthcare industry leaders urge caution to White House in fraud prevention.””
Read that again.
The way I understand this is healthcare (and its leaders) can’t survive without fraud.
Jobs lost.
Fraud shores up the system.
And probably
most importantly) executive bonuses are un-achievable) without fraud.
Why won’t POTUS sign rescission bills for $220 billion in DOGE-identified cuts to waste?
Is that a fraud number?
Elon Musk says the only thing that can now prevent us from going off a fiscal cliff is robots. Ridiculous.
Debt and deficits are eating us alive. If we made some actual cuts, the markets would like that.
My most favorite part…. “……………………with another 8,000 federal government jobs eliminated. “
BBB kicking in??
(Build Back Better, I presume?) Not until it’s completely torn down.
Reducing the size of govt (bureaucrats) reduces fraud, reduce NON-productivity. Win Win.
If States did the same, this Country would be roaring with wealth.
One can hope.
Can we do a wayback machine and see the private vs public sector employment increases for Brandon and even Obama?
Just the same table just see if private jobs drop and public increases. Would be neat for comparisons.
