As the ongoing Operation Epic Fury military engagement continues, CENTCOM announces the arrival of 3.500 Marines from the 31st Marine Expeditionary Unit into forward position.
As negotiations with Iranian leadership are reported to be ongoing, it would appear that options are now present for President Trump to make a decision on the potential seizure of Kharg Island, a crucial oil export hub off Iran’s coast.
(Via Wall Street Journal) – The Pentagon is looking at sending up to 10,000 additional ground troops to the Middle East to give President Trump more military options even as he weighs peace talks with Tehran, Department of Defense officials with knowledge of the planning said.
The force, which would likely include infantry and armored vehicles, would be added to the roughly 5,000 Marines and the thousands of paratroopers from the 82nd Airborne Division who have already been ordered to the region.
It is unclear where precisely forces will go in the Middle East, but they will likely be within striking distance of Iran and Kharg Island, a crucial oil export hub off Iran’s coast.
Trump has repeatedly said he will open the Strait of Hormuz, with or without the help of U.S. allies. (read more)

Blocking oil exports to China can bring a lot of challenges. Is that the intent, or is it just getting rid of the Iran’s terrorist regime? Taking Khrag Island and the Straight should be very concerning to China. The terrorist regime will never stop. They’re spread out to Yemen , Iraq and Lebanon. The Taliban still exist regardless of all the fighting they’ve endured with USA and Russia. I’m trying to be positive here, but not seeing the up side of all this. The terrorists run and hide and reappear with bombings.
It’s all about energy.
Remember that Iran was funding all these terrorists with that oil money.
And the pallets of cash Obama and Biden gave them with OUR tax dollars.
To say nnothing about the money we’ve “borrowed” to pay for “foreign aid”.
IMHO:
these two traitors should be hanged in public view in front of the Supreme Court Building.
alternatively they should be guillotined in the same location
as a warning to all traitors in a position of public trust
On this Easter Sunday, do not forget the upwards of 3000 Christians slaughtered in Nigeria by Iranian sponsored moooslime terrorists just in 12 months.
The amazing thing is every one is at home with the lord the place Im headed to some amazing day. No im not suicidal Im just in full trust of my Lord Jesus.
Every one of them recieved a crown for their service.
God Bless ya PAt.
Those innocent people including children were tortured and burned to death. But it’s all ok according to you ’cause they supposedly have a medal? What perverted version of Christianity are you espousing?
Palm Sunday. Easter is next Sunday.
Remember that CHINA was funding all these terrorists with that oil money.
The Terrorist Cells funded by Iran are only as loyal as the Iranian Mafia can buy.
No it’s about malignant Islam trying to impose their will on the west.
absolutely!
Re ” it’s about malignant Islam trying to impose their will on the west.”
That is partly true, yes. However, it’s about much more than that; and, BE’s comment about energy is really closer to the truth of the matter. Even BE’s answer is not the whole truth, though. See my reply to BE above.
The control of energy is also malignant Islam
Imposing thier will.
OPEC is not American.
Re “It’s all about energy.”
No, it’s all about national security. Energy is just the means to that end.
When all is said and done (after the Iran deal is agreed to), America (currently, that means Trump) will control the vast majority of the total volume of oil reserves worldwide. Control of that oil means that America (again Trump, currently) will be able to influence every nation worldwide in a positive manner for themselves and the USA. That means global peace the world has not seen the likes of in 2000 years!
We agree.
Energy is National Security …..
Closing the border was national security, building up our military….. yes we can go on and on.
What a great President, President Trump is and will be … 🙂 🙂
Yes !
Exactly! Thank you, too, btw.
Thank you for the clear explanation !
You’re very welcome, Jeff.
Its all about woar.
its all about money.
Does the Taliban impact at all outside of their conflict with Pakistan? You need money to fund terrorism? Control revenue flows. You weaken them. They can’t pay their martyrs
We left billions to the Taliban by leaving billions in Military hardware behind for the Taliban and the Chinese who share a border.
In my opinion, all of Trump’s moves geopolitically are aimed at strangling the Panda.
It had better not be at the expense of the lives of our military. He will pay dearly if it is.
Nice manipulation. You have moved the goalposts. Even one life lost, ANY, proved that Orange Man Bad!
Waaaaa
Did you not notice the plural used ? As in “lives.” Where do you get the “even one life lost” trope? Silly.
Not necessarily. It may prove that the Pentagon generals and associated ‘advisors’ to President Trump are the real culprits, Joe K.
Why would you even THINK that?
I’m sorry , but President Trump is using the military exactly the way a nation should use its military.
It’s what it’s there for.
Highly trained, highly lethal troops protecting the lives of our nations citizens .
Our troops volunteer to be the last line of defense sacrificing all up to and including thier very lives for the protection of our nations citizens .
Today’s military and it’s use is vastly different from the past. WWII saw days where thousands died in one battle on one day. We have learned much from the past and people who take issue with volunteer soldiers killed while doing their duty along with leadership striving to reduce casualties as much as possible, have no concept of history and doing what is right.
Correct , I couldn’t have made that comment with any other President in office .
President Trump is unleashing our military in ways it is intended for .
Our President doesn’t
do
“peace keeping “
Missions.
Our military accomplishes military objectives .
Really, Jeff?
Please, re-read your Constitution.
Iran has never set foot upon nor attempted to invade the USA – it is the USA that is attempting to do that to them.
47 years
Longer than that. Thomas Jefferson in the early 1800’s, then centuries before that. The radical islamist theology has not changed for centuries.
More reasons yes !
Iranian death cult clerics have declared war upon USA 40 years ago.
And killing Americans also directly or by proxy
https://www.fdd.org/analysis/2025/06/19/iranian-and-iranian-backed-attacks-against-americans-1979-present/
Sounds great – say it to the parents of a soldier killed in the “line of duty.” And I’m sorry too but for a different reason.
Winner! Winner! Chicken dinner!
Paybacks re COVID are a B word.
That is because there is NO upside.
No upside for Kamala voters and RINOs. LOL
And, pray tell, what does that comment have to do with mine?
Kamala voters and rhinos can’t decipher your humor !!!!
The Chinese will have to find a cheap source of oil.
Just need to be careful that they don’t behave as Japan did in WWII. Controlling China’s thirst for energy will put the brakes on their BRI and their designs on Taiwan. Next objective: Greenland.
(Cuba is a bonus)
Yeah, like Hong Kong…..
You’re rambling.
I don’t think the rules of engagement will be quite like they were in the past .
The days of ask questions first, shoot second are gone .
“Troops on the ground” today is a whole different animal.
“Shock and awe “
Isn’t going to stop this time.
And I do remember 1979. It’s a been long time coming.
The upside is not to eradicate muslim terrorists, but rather to get them out of Iran’s government. The impact to China (and Europe) SHOULD motivate them to send some ships over to secure their own oil, if they can muster enough brains and balls to do so.
Europe should, no doubt. However, all of Europe combined does not have sufficient naval capability to protect ships sailing through the Hormuz Straits
China can probably do so but I’m not sure the countries that use Hormuz the most would find that an optimal solution.
In the end, America will control Hormuz and essentially the entire volume of oil through out the world. Trump will use that control to benefit both America and the rest of the world. The result will be worldwide peace.
Why can’t we just drill baby drill in the US, keep our own oil and forget about the straight or horsemoose?
Some will say, well its just not that easy.
Thats because in reality its really all about the money.
Corporations could just sell their oil here.
If they did the US would have enough if the corporations didn’t export their oil, especially the alaskan oil sold to china.
Because Hormuz plays a vital part in Trump’s plan to bring peace to the world.
It’s a worldwide market, so disruptions elsewhere will drive up prices here. Us drilling our own keeps prices lower than they otherwise would be.
“The terrorists” will continue to do that until they are denied access to the targets they want to bomb. Seek them out and DEPORT THEM. Get every towelhead out of this and any other peace-loving country permanently. muslims are incompatible with Western culture, and they have no legitimate place in it. DEPORT.
As long as not whole cities are destroyed and the atrocities of the Iraq war done then the backing of the population will limit this to the truly demented and crazy religious people.
It’s a fine line but at least Kharg Island is a limited not too much populated area . How such an area taken would be defended.. puh
This better end soon, or there will be a dark November.
Not if MAGA turns out.
That’s a pipe dream. The Democrats rallied their ANTIFA forces and see that President Trump is on the ropes which means that the “Big Cheat” will be activated again with truckloads of magical ballots arriving after midnight again. Democrat elections officials have no fear of prosecutions now!
The war is lost! Go home!
I hope your are talking about Putin’s SMO (over a thousand days)
Trump’s forever war has lasted almost 30 days.
Waaaaaaaa!
Starting a war five months before the midterm elections when the ink isn’t even dry on the Supreme Court decision killing the IEEPA Tariff Debacle isn’t the brightest idea in political strategy!
We needed those five months to get the deficit down, oil and gas prices down, inflation down and interest rates on cars and mortgages way down not to mention ending the Ukraine War. Instead we have everything going the wrong way to fix a problem that could have waited until after the election in November.
So, 5 months is your time frame? Are you aware that many issues in the world from communism to terrorism to trade wars to slavery to rights of citizens are centuries old?
“Don’t put off until tomorrow what you can do today.” ― Benjamin Franklin
OMG! It’s political advice from Minnesota of all places. 🫡
Yes, a place where its sane people know better than most what tyranny looks like, face-to-face.
Maybe you didn’t read my post. I asked two questions and gave no advice. I provided the quote from BF because he was a wise man.
You did not answer a reasonable two questions so I have to put you in the category of paid poster who breaks the posting rules and denigrates people.
Dang ! I should have voted for you !
My bad.
Yes, you had your chance and blew it! 😉
Wrong again. It’s becoming a habit.
Boy, are you in for a huge surprise…
Seriously, do you really think anything Trump might do could cause everyone to forget how bad the Obama/Biden years were?
You are dreaming. Antifa is a net negative for the dims, including you. DJT has a handle on the magical ballots now.
DoooOOOM and GloOOOM!!
trump fans will turn out, but maga will be a mixed bag.
Fans?? You spelled ‘sycophants’ wrong
If you’re not a “Trump fan”, you’re not MAGA.
You mean the Russia /Israel Hoaxers who pretend to be MAGA.
The science is settled! Trump is a puppet of Muh … Russia? Muh …Israel?
there are a LOT of factors. One that doesn’t seem to get enough attention is the vote ID law. Should that pass, we are going to observe a truth that has been labeled as a conspiracy. that 81 million voters sent Joe malarkey into office. We know that was never true. it was BALLOTS. not actual voters.
so stay tuned. If that bill can be passed and each voter must present positive proof of citizenship, not only will voters turn out in record numbers maga voters. but we will also see something that the media will attempt to narrate away from. that the progressive democrat vote numbers..the real citizen numbers are far far far less than the election “numbers” appear them to be.
I have a general thesis on this….it’s the media mainly. the media leans heavily toward a nanny state…welfare…help the minorities…protect the queers…spend spend spend…socialize everything. and the reason is simple…these media people live in bubbles….in high cost cities…with exorbitant costs of living…and frankly they are objectively, godless unprofitable embeciles. they see orange man bad as a theme because they are afraid of success. they think there is no God and no need for one. They live day to day, not having really any kind of planning for their own spiritual life. So they are unprotected.
the lies come easily to such people.
if tomorrow you literally shut down all main stream media, what would happen? americans would start thinking for themselves, actually digging around themselves for answers.
the media knows this. it is one of the most powerful tools of persuasion ever built.
God Bless America
Yes, the voter ID is good but how does that stop the Democrat dump of 100,000 fake ballots after midnight on election day?
I voted for Trump 6 times and I know he won presidency 3 times. Unfortunately, I have to lead with that if making a comment of concern.
If Tulsi (practically the only team member actually doing stuff for America) leaves over stuff like this, it will be the largest unforced error ever to happen. It would be like cutting off arms and going blind and deaf at one time. And I won’t want to see one comment that she is weak and left when the going got tough.
AI generated troll comment formula:
1. Establish “one-ness” with target group;
2. Boldly assume your point aligns with a trusted member of said group.
3. Express a concern that both you AND this trusted member understand that the unwanted course of action is ill advised;
3. Defend the trusted member for being brave enough to admit that the course of action is ill advised.
4. Assume everyone agrees that all will fail if the undesired outcome is taken.
Not everyone is a troll who doesn’t get on board with boots on ground and bombs. They have sons and daughters and would like to keep them.
Every son and daughter is a volunteer.
To something called the military. Whose primary job is to break things and kill.
They know that.
And exactly where is it written that to defeat Iran “boots on tne ground” IN ANY FORM is off the table?
True. That doesn’t change the fact that propaganda helps the enemy to destroy as much as any other weapon of war.
Sounds like the anti Trumpers at “Redacted”. 🙄😵💫
Wow- so now there can be no differing opinions on what is going on? I thought this was America – must be mistaken.
no” anti-trumpers”..but ani-war Flying Geese…….
Then vote Dem. And stop pretending this is a ground invasion of Iran, Trump is taking a small island to protect the waterways.
Assad didn’t leave for 4000 days, after Obama started his regime change war. Trump is 30 days in. LOL
Don’t join the military
Problem solved
A voice of reason among the “boots on ground” crowd.
Not to mention a large part of the original 2016 MAGA coalition was built upon Trump’s stance of “no more Middle Eastern wars.”
I don’t think “Brant” is a troll. It’s just another one of the “I love Trump, but …”.
They don’t really trust the President. They listen to paid podcasters, fill their heads with pessimistic ideas and come here trying to discourage us too. Very tiresome
News flash – this isn’t the Left, where everyone has to agree 100% or be castrated.
FFS! This isn’t a one man show. How many of Trump’s “advisors” are in alignment with Trumps agenda? How are Susie Wiles, Pam Bondi, Joe Kent and Kash Patel, to name a few, working out? Add to that, war is an exceptionally opportunistic venue to undermine the President. Case in point – our “closest ally” Israel, bombing the oil fields without informing the US. Where were you for Obamas patriot purge of the military?
Believe it, or not, a person can love Trump and not agree with every decision he makes. Who the eff “Warp speeds” a vaccine, shuts down the entire country for two weeks, gives people on unemployment an additional $600/week, thereby killing their incentive to work? From my perspective, (RN for 29 years), these were catastrophic mistakes. Both physically deadly and financially devastating on an unprecedented scale. I voted for him two more times. Have you never been in a relationship? People aren’t perfect and he is no exception.
Further, some of us are sick and tired of our hard earned, middle class dollars supporting and defending the whole, largely ungrateful, world. And receiving nothing in return. (When was the last time you checked the National Debt Tabulator?) I have a teenager that is obsessed with all things military; but, I will not be sacrificing my only son. Get European, Japanese and Israeli sons/daughters’ boots on the ground, or, STOP FUNDING NATO and GTH OUT NOW! Right now. Today.
We can support the teet-sucker’s troops from the air.
You may flash your news and whine as much as you want.no one is castrating you.
I’m just saying it is tiresome and unproductive.
And it is indeed one man show. President Trump is the only one for us.
Damn , tell us how you really feel.
It’s pathetic. Most of these trolls are fans of warmonger Obama.
Elle, were you also in the comment hectoring people when they disagreed with President Trump on the COVID shots? Not everyone who disagrees with Trump is an “AI-generated troll comment.” False accusations only hurt your side, not help it.
Why would she leave?
And “stuff like this”? Like what?
Kamala lost. You should vote for Dems like Omar.
Israel bad! Orange Man puppet! Muh … forever war!
If Iran blocks the Straight of Hormuz then no ships leave, including theirs. And since the US doesn’t use gulf oil, we don’t care. What am I missing?
The price of oil is set on a global market. Cut off supply and the price goes up. That is why your price to fill up your car has spiked even though the US is energy independent.
Exxon isn’t going to sell gas domestically for $60 per barrel when it can export it for $120 per barrel.
President Trump can invoke certain wartime laws that ban the export of oil and natural gas forcing a US market price!
It’s funny that you state this is a fact regarding speculators;
since you know the future of commodity prices why don’t you make a few billion dollars, instead of posting for free?
Or here in Arizona, it has gone up. Two primary reasons..
Gov Hobnail turned down a request to wave the super clean air fuel; that is not available many places.
We get most of our product from california….Gov Grusom, shut down two refineries. Less gas available. Both democrap Govs.
Drives me crazy when I hear it’s PDJT’s fault. Stupid people just don’t do their research. Easier to blame our President.
Its actually somewhat broader the just ExxonMobil. The oil produced in the US is light sweet crude which requires different refining processes then the heavier oil produced elsewhere. While the US is still a net oil exporter different heavier oil is still imported
This too. Along with various taxes and corn energy mandates.
For decades it used to be that Brent crude was priced within a dollar or so versus West Texas crude. Now Texas, which we use is, $10 less than Brent which is used by Asia and Europe, that’s why our gas is under $5 and everyone else pays $9 a gallon. LOL.
Actually, bradk77, here in Central Queensland, in the land of Oz, on the afternoon of the 27th, I paid the equivalent of 7.82 US Dollars for an equivalent US Gallon (AUD 3.129 per litre).
And, did you know that Australia’s fuel reserves are held in America?
I hope your Government isn’t flogging any of it to keep your internal prices down. (Giggles).
And my hip pocket nerve is still twitching…
Being dependent on a “Global market” & at the mercy of Exxon profits….
Doesn’t sound particularly independent.
Possibly that significant percentages of the global supply of Urea for fertilizer – affects US mainly for corn, and
Helium – affects US mainly for AI compute, weapons mfr, Bitcoin, SpaceX, currently need to pass through Hormuz.
Plus a few other items. Our Occasionally. Overly. Dramatic. correspondent Shanaka summarizes it thus:
“Oil. Gas. Helium. Chips. AI. Quantum. Fertilizer. Food. Cables. Settlement. Rockets. Satellites. Nuclear weapons. The largest IPO in history. The birth of a parallel monetary system.”

That the world runs on oil.
This is so interesting. It is essentially a situation where China and other USA adversaries have to cooperate or face ruin at home.
If the Mullahs go scorched earth, the USA will be sad for the misery it will cause because we are nice people. But the USA will still function, if not benefit, from having our own abundant resources.
What we are now seeing is the EU, globalist, communist, tyrant generals fighting the last war. They think they can wait out Trump past November. Do they not see it is different now? With all the fore-planning that went into Russia having the ready oil on ships (as well as a gazillion other examples) they are blind not to see that this was planned out well beyond the midterms.
We are no longer playing by the rules of yore.
I’m no genius but I can see it as clear as day. The only way for them to live to fight another day is to cooperate in keeping the oil flowing.
ROFL
“If the Mullahs go scorched earth, the USA”
The Mullahs are in hiding, and already missing their oil revenue.
Joe, it is so sad to see someone so wrong…
The Strait of Hormuz was open until we (Israel and U.S.) started bombing. It would reopen if we stop. We have met or are very close to having met our military objectives laid out succinctly by Sect. Rubio. President Trump should declare victory and make an efficient military exit. Leave regime change to Israel. I do NOT support U.S. boots on the ground in Iran. It will lead to U.S. deaths, maiming and electoral disaster. Ask yourself if a U.S. invasion is worth risking a return of Democrats to the White House in 2028 and a return to open borders!?! It is not. I have nuclear family in the US military and I support the troops unequivocally. Once boots hit the ground, I won’t question the strategy publicly here or anywhere else. I wouldn’t do anything to undermine the effort. I am raising my objections here and now and forever holding my tongue.
I agree with everything you said. Not one hair on the heads of our military is worth losing – whatever Trump is doing.
Try a quick little Google search “how many military personnel die from training accidents?” Your logic would say that military training itself is not worth doing because ” head hair” is lost?
You are really stretching for something cunning to say – and please do not tell me what “my logic” would say. I have said what I meant to say. End of story.
Some people have a way of cutting off conversation because they have no argument. Your logic is clear and you said it, not me. End of story.
“Not one hair on the heads of our military is worth losing – whatever Trump is doing”. Your words.
Trump is in command and training is part of what a commander in chief is responsible for. More personnel die and get injured during training than in combat over the last 20 years.
How are you the arbiter of deciding when our “military objectives” have been met?
And how do you know that the crazies still running Iran would reopen it just because we stop bombing them?
And how very nice of you to promise to shut your pie hole only AFTER “boots hit ground” 😎
And since when did we take a decision that the only way we will ever fight a war TO WIN IT is by never using ground troops?
This thread is chock full of arm chair generals…….
I’m taking President Trump and Sect. Rubio at their word. Show me where the administration has said objectives have changed? You can’t. You have blind faith. We’ve seen where that has gotten us with foreign invasions. I like our buttoned-down borders. Do you? The Democrats are frothing at the mouth at the prospect of a U.S. invasion of Iran.
Wise up. And maybe listen a little more.
I agree. Here at home in the Ohio River Valley where we are being swamped with epic size AI Data Centers, the Trump supporters are growing restless with the Midterms approaching. That and the idea of Boots on the Ground in Iran being a possiblity, it could end up a Midterm disaster. I pray for an end to the war with Iran, so that our own national problems become first on the minds of the Administration.
TDS makes him the arbitrator.
Agree !!
It seems we try to convince people to trust President that can never be convinced .
Really good questions, add more insights.
People really need to think with systems perspective.
To decouple America from globalism which has penetrated and tangled USA with it for many years, PDJT has to operate the ‘fundamental surgery’ at that system level. This is my opinion to those questions why PDJT did not focus on domestic matters but on world-wide matters. It’s necessary to apply systematic solution for real problem-solving and gain success.
We don’t want to have wars that shed young people’s blood for nothing or for some people’s own interests. However, today military actions are still necessary means to certain problems. So the more critical questions are : what, when, how … to apply military means, and who will make the judgement(s).
If we believe that PDJT loves American people and the Constitutional Republic, he is doing his duty with long-term strategies, he has a best team assisting him, then we have reason to watch what happens and it’s reasonable to see the results would be different from those from previous USA involved wars. Purpose is different, president is different, and operating is different. Most important, whether the operation has God’s Wisdom Guidance. I myself have confidence in PDJT and would like to see more challenging questions to this Operation.
An suggestion for those who have family members in military: please pray to God for them and their commanders and ask God to keep them in His Hands. Thinking in doom way only dissipates negative influence and counteraction of one’ prayer effect. In God we trust.
I would like to see domestic issues like lower grocery prices addressed. We have so many domestic issues on the home front. We need to focus on our foundation (country) first, imo. (not that this matters but Navy Veteran and two boys serving as officers in the Army.)
You’re 100% wrong. taking a small island in the Straight must be done to secure oil supplies.
I didn’t vote for Trump so terrorist theocracies could control the world’s oil supply. LOL
Who are you to tell someone they are “100% wrong? Newsflash – YOU DO NOT KNOW EVERYTHING. You have an opinion just like everyone else – no more, no less.
Huh? A US Naval blockade of the Straits of Hormuz cuts off all Iranian oil exports!
Israel has more skin in the game for regime change in Iran than we do. And they’re pretty good at what they do. That said, unless this regime is eliminated, we will be right back in the same boat a few years from now when they have rebuilt their nuclear program, thanks to China, Russia, & North Korea. These barbaric zealot psychopaths are never going to change their stripes. Thinking we can reign them in with the threat of future consequences so they won’t continue on a path to try to kill every one of us and wipe Israel off the map is a pipe dream.
Does it mean boots on the ground to finish this off here and now, while we have President Trump, or bombs away every few years, taking the chance that we will have a Democrat majority government in the future that is sympathetic to the Iranian terrorists, such as Obama and Biden were? Indeed, the radical Democrat Communists, who are now aligned with the Islamic Jihadists would love to see our Republic and the West destroyed. This could easily happen thanks to the massive election fraud that exists in the US that the cowardly, corrupt GOP refuse to do anything about, even though they’re in the majority.
Next steps are a tough call, so I will put my faith in President Trumps decision. He is not only making decisions for us, but also for future generations. He is the only President we’ve had in my lifetime since JFK who has truly cared about the American people. The fact that the DS is doing everything they can possibly think of to completely destroy him and his family tells me he has not been corrupted by the usual suspects.
Yes it may impact the midterms if he sends our troops in and we have losses. The midterms may be a wash anyway, thanks to election fraud and the despicable RINO traitors who refuse to try to stop this. The question could be: Worst case scenario, if the Democrats take power again and our Republic is forever dismantled, is it better to face the possibility of living under a Democrat Communist government with a nuclear armed Iran, or under this same kind of tyrannical government without the threat of a nuclear Iran?
Let us keep in mind that if President Trump in short time is victorious in eliminating this menace to the world, the Iranian terrorist regime, that could have a positive impact on the midterms and we may be able to overcome the election fraud if we stick together, as we did in 2024.
I also have a sense that there are many in our military that are just itching to go into Iran and hunt IRGC and their Mullahs after what we’ve been through for 50 years. Why deprive them of their fun?
Sect. Rubio has denied that regime change is an objective in every interview. You calling him a liar?
regime change is unspoken words…..of course it was priority for many years…
Israel cannot take southern Lebanon and they are literally right next door. Israel cannot do anything to Iran except send F-35s using our tankers and bomb the rubble they have already created.
Not one drop of blood from our brave marines should be shed in this insane debacle currently ongoing.
Bring our troops home to guard our southern border and perhaps even the northern border. Let Israel finish what it started.
I support our troops. MAGA not MIGA
I agree with you re: JFK.
Oh please. “Boots on the ground” is a meaningless phrase. We already have boots on the water, boots in the sky, likely special forces with boots, and CIA if they wear boots.
The closet number of neocons here is unbelievable. No wonder Sundance waited so long to post about the troop buildup.
is honorable..Ratcllife …. wear boots….????
This is nonsensical. Most everyone here voted for Donald Trump as president because he’s shown he knows wtf he’s doing. Yet the second a military issue arises we bail on him?
He campaigned on no endless wars. It’s been a MONTH. And what he did in Venezuela with OUR MILITARY lasted 8 hours. You don’t think he knows what he’s doing?
Btw if Iran is such a Billy Bad Ass then we have much bigger problems.
I trust PDJT. And to those that think Israel is leading him by the nose, you haven’t been paying attention. He’s clearly using their gusto to achieve HIS GOAL.
Sit back and watch how a pragmatic human gets sh-t done.
F-yeah !
Dear 4DBark, as a member with nuclear family in the US military, your statements showed more sense than simple emotion, which would bring much more meaningful debates. Much appreciated in the discussion of such topics. Thank you.
Get ready to die for Israel.
Hah, Israel is the Little Satan, We, if you are American, are the Great Satan that Iran has been avowing to kill for 47 years.
Nice comic book image. Maybe someone should provide evidence that Trump is a puppet of Russia, excuse me, Israel. LOL
Schmuck
First the Saturday people, then the Sunday people.
First, the Russians — you are indebted to crooked Hillary, who started this hoaxing. Trump was a puppet of Russia. All you have done is changed the name Russia to Israel. Sad!
They already have the Saturday People and they are quickly conquering the Sunday people in Europe. They have Catholic Spain gone and they are days away from complete control of UK. Ireland is gone, France is maybe a few weeks away from control.
They have most of Texas here. And they aboslutely control 70% of New York State. Look at how many these people have killed in Nigeria alone!
When did everyone get so afraid fighting or for that matter, of death and dying?
Do you have any family? Just asking because I would say most of the people expressing objection to boots on the ground are doing so on behalf of their children and grandchildren.
OK Crooked Hillary.
I thought Trump was a puppet of Russia. And like crooked Hillary, you have provided no
evidence for your snowflake statement.
Muh …Russia! Israel!
“Iran has agreed to allow” that sounds like the IRCG ( Iranian leadership) still controls the Hormuz passageway.
I guess if you read Russian propaganda, it sounds that way. LOL
This war is almost over, I know that triggers you. I guess only Obama can bomb Muslim nations into the ground. LOL

1) Lyndon LaRouche was a convicted fraudster.
2) Promethan Action is a PAC which means they are the propaganda arm of their largest donors which are who?
3) As the propaganda arm they are also marketing themselves to other small donors.
I’m not saying they don’t make some decent points but eyes wide open with that group.
‘Kinda like the clowns inn DC…
OK, Hillary, Trump is a puppet of Russia.
Oh, excuse me, he is a puppet of Israel.
There seems to be much more going on here than just what we are seeing in the media. Besides eliminating the ayatollah and secondaries, not necessarily a regime change, but looking to put in place a ruling class willing to work with the USA and other mid-east governments, rather than supporting terrorism. Kinda like what took place in Venezuela. PDJT would prefer to not try to make a complete regime change. Just eliminate the hardliners. Personally, not sure that’s possible but since other mid-east countries have managed….maybe. Secondly, I think the oil in relation to China and other countries in the reason is a factor. I’m sure it’s making the CCP uncomfortable. Lastly, the London banking system. This is upending all of that. PDJT appears to be changing the New World Order.
At least I’m hoping this is the intent.
All this hand wringing, virture signalling, dooming, and Israel hate is becoming tiresome.
This situation is pretty darn simple.
For 47 years, Iran has threatened the US and Israel, and their neighbors. They have lied, decieved, all the while, pretending to be peaceful.
They subscribe to the 12th Imam ideology. They have threatend to develop and use nuclear weapons, if you listen to the clerics. ( Who also use Taqqiya ). They kidnap, torture and murder their own people. They subjugate women. They create little terrorists, when they are but mere children. By force.
There is no debate to be had about their status as the number 1 terrorist supporter and spreader of mid east violence.
They have killed US Servicemen. Many, many times. They have also killed citizens of other states around them.
There is absolutely no debate about any of these facts. Iran is a problem, and without this intervention, would definately be a problem in the future. Anyone who thinks or says otherwise is below the Bell Curve. Or intentionally lying about the facts.
In the non pretending world, Iran had to be dealt with, or the outcome would be a mushroom cloud above a few country’s…..
All of you cowards who support Iran, or cry about any of them meeting their Maker, live a lie. The Pretenders is what I call them.
The Regime needed to be dealt with now, not later, before they drop a nuke on someones head. It should have been done a long time ago.
Now toughen up, smarten up, grow a set, and let PDJT and the American Military deal with this Regime of murderous savages in control, in Iran.
Its beyond tiring, to listen to the whiners, whine, here, and on other social media. If Iran really wanted peace, they would stand down. And leave the country they stole, back in 1979.
They must be removed, or tens of thousands, or perhaps hundreds of thousands of innocent Iranians, will be once again, murdered by these insane Mullahs and the IRGC scum.
Man up.
I’ve listened to every presser of Sect. Rubio posted here. Regime change is not and never was one of our objectives. We have met our objectives. Now triumphantly leave.
Wise up.
Total BS.
Regime change was and is the objective,if it is the only way to prevent these nutjobs from possessing nukes and delivery systems.
What do you think killing as many of the regime leaders is all about — except to CHANGE IT to one that gives up its nuclear ambitions?
You better tell Sect. Rubio. He has said daily that regime change is not our objective. Is he lying?
Well there are a lot of people who believe what they see on TV. Then there are those who wonder why so many of our troops are getting deployed and start to connect the dots.
The goal is to so severely degrade the mullahs and irgc to the point that the PEOPLE of Iran can finally take back their Country. It is not us that will perform the regime change, we are just making the pathway to make it happen.
So, yes, regime change is a goal… just not by US personnel.
Regime change been always priority… because CAI/MODASS did not succeed…someone change tune…we are nor business change government what a BS…..
Side note…
….there seems to be amnesia when it comes to the threats by Osama Bin Laden, threatening a million children in America.
Yes!
How many presidents were gonna and did zero, nothing.
Oh, they sent suitcases full of cash. Surely some of that came back to our fearless leaders at that time… maybe even ValJar.
Oh, didn’t your CIA aid and abet Osama?
And was he a citizen of Iranian nationality?
Agreed, long overdue by 47 years.
Dig the half-stack.
Half stack for the win. 😎
Yes, after 3 weeks of attacking the I military infrastructure, and understanding that a bad, unpeaceful ideology is built in for 47 years,
it sounds like some further positioning ( to an island ) is occurring to
discourage bad actors with an ability to strike from the island.
( way before the I citizens are given an OK to protest the embedded I regime replacements )
Evil is tough to discourage….
Imho
And yet the U.S. is not invading certain African countries where tens of thousands of Christians have been murdered and continue to be slaughtered. Because there’s nothing in for the U.S. This Iran debacle was not designed to rescue Iranians. It’s all about the oil and control of the oil.
Man up? Your sons and daughters should be first in line to be deployed.
Certain African countries are not capable of nuking a large part of Europe and the US. Unless you’ve been living in a cave for the last 47 years, Iran has been preparing for that eventuality. So, let’s just wait until after the November mid terms to deal with it as if Iran gives a rat’s ass about that. I don’t want our military in danger, but it comes with the territory. I dang sure don’t want a bunch of schizo mullahs launching nukes.
Thank you Fionnagh…
Well said Bob
I am not worried about the “tens of thousands” of “innocent Iranians.” That is THEIR problem, not ours. It is only because someone made it “our problem” as they always do that we are facing losing many of our beloved military members based solely on the mere “possibility” that some Iranians might be killed. By the way, when do you man up and leave to go over there and fight?
“ man up “
Coming from a woman
Do you not understand that the goal of the mullahs/IRGC is to obliterate Israel and the USA. That is their reason for being… Death to America, Death to Israel. THE MINUTE they have a nuke, it will be launched.
They have been at war with us for 47 yrs and they have already been killing our beloved military members. It is time for them to be eradicated from this earth, once and for all. Our military is delivering retribution for the deaths and maiming of their brothers and sisters.
Iran made Iran our problem.
When do you actually study up and understand why we did what we did? NUKES IN THE HANDS OF AN ISLAMIC TERRORIST REGIME! That does not end well for anyone.
Please explain why nobody made this an issue until recently. Did people suddenly remember that Iran might be able to get their hands on a nuclear weapon? We have known this for some time – was anyone going to do anything about it before? Apparently not. The bad guys have been in possession of nukes for some time now but only in recent days has this subject been discussed as it is being discussed now. Someone will no doubt say that it took Pres. Trump to notice and say we are going to do something about it. He has known this for some time now, maybe years. Was he just waiting for an appropos time to threaten a war?
You behave as if we have just learned that Iran has nukes. Didn’t we recently supposedly bomb the nuke-making ability they had or was that propaganda?
Go Trump! US Army Vet Tet 1968.
Just because one doesn’t support the current military action, doesn’t mean they are a “supporter of Iran”.
This has smelled like an ego move by “no wars” Trump for weeks.
Has Iran been a global threat for a long time? Absolutely. Were they an imminent threat? I imagine we will find out over the next couple years.
IMO, all we’ve done through the bombing and destruction is create a whole army of pissed off future sleeper cells that have the potential to wreak havoc on the world, especially the US, moving forward.
Please save & repost as needed!! Which is a lot with all the whiners!
Hopefully the Straits of Hormuz are completely blocked by PDJT
They are.

I mean permanently.
Sorry, Mr. President. I did not sign up for this based on your promise of no new wars. Hope you weren’t planning on having an election soon.
Still waiting on the ‘no tax on social security’, not a wimpy tax reduction, it was supposed to be eliminated…. and the alleged 50% reduction of our energy costs. No tax means zero zip nada….and on Overtime…there is a limit on that, 12k I think…the tax deductible car loans on cars made in America-laughable, no new car for me, am gonna squeeze at least 3 years worth of car note interest out of my new transmission in my very old Ford…and buy a Subaru next…
My thoughts are divided between foreign policy and domestic policy…yet one impacts the other. OK, rant over…
And the price of gas and diesel…4.49 and 5.30 by me…
It’s a lot better to have 1.9% new car and 2.9% mortgage rates than being able to deduct interest on a 7% car loan!
This war is hardly new. President Trump said he would crush Iran in 2015, and even earlier
Did he now? Well, why did that not happen? Asking for a friend.
He is doing it now.
Wouldn’t it be great to elect Trump for a 4th time?
Of course you did, assuming you voted for him. He’s in the process of achieving a lasting peace and an end to the forever wars that the neocons and globalists have spawned for decades so that they could stay in control.
You may not see that clearly, but that doesn’t mean it’s not happening.
Don’t worry, your vote won’t make a difference.
I did not say I would not vote for him. Stop putting words in my mouth. I have voted for him every time he ran. I think maybe you should take a deep breath and take a step back.
What will we do without you ?
And the 19 people who upvoted her post. That would include me.
Y’all will just have to do the best you can.
Deja vu all over again?
The first U.S. Marine combat troops arrived in Vietnam on March 8, 1965.
On that date, 3,500 Marines from the 9th Marine Expeditionary Brigade (9th MEB), under the command of Brigadier General Frederick J. Karch, landed at Da Nang in South Vietnam. Their primary mission was to secure the Da Nang Air Base from Viet Cong attacks. This deployment, ordered by President Lyndon B. Johnson, marked the official beginning of the Americanization of the Vietnam War and the first large-scale deployment of U.S. ground combat troops to the country

The Hormuz Hypothesis – What If the U.S. Navy Isn’t in a Hurry to Reopen the Strait?
I agree with many here who say all need to dial into Promethian action site and see the big picture as to why Iran war and now threat of US ground troops!! This is huge bargaining chip that we hope moves Iran to settle this thing before facing the true fury of real US men on the ground with lethal weapons and courage.
He wants that oil so bad!
He doesn’t want terrorists to have that oil. Buy a clue.
Nonsense. Why would he, after achieving energy independence as preparation for this move?
He wants to do what he’s done in Venezuela, let the people benefit from it rather than the corrupt government and military that are in the pockets of our globalist enemies.
Let’s Look at some facts. The Iranian military is severely degraded. They have lost the trust of most of the population.
Now, I know there are many under the age of thirty, or even 35, who may not recall Desert Storm…
We don’t have to do that, would prefer to arm and coordinate local resistance… But if there’s no resistance… we can roll up to their bunker and arrest them.
“They have lost the trust of most of the population”. Source please.
Even if 10% of Iranians support the Mulllahs that’s 9MM people that will need dealt with. Any ideas?
I am an Army Tanker since 1969 and personally uploaded my M60A2 tank platoon onto a C5 to go rescue the Israelis in the Yom Kippur 1973 war.
This is not Iraq… There is almost no tank country until you fight your way into the middle of this country. This country you think you can roll over is the size of Western Europe.
This is not a cake walk against Saddam and it will require a minimum of between 1 million actual fighting men or maybe two. Our military from an army perspective is a hollowed out shell compared to the 2003 military you pictured above.
There needs to be a draft, then you train the men 18 months minimum – then you try to equip them. It is at the very least a two year effort and then you have to get them over there. Russian and Chinese (and yes Iranian) satellites provide a “Constant Stare” over the entire Middle East. Where will they be marshaled up to begin the EXTREMELY arduous task of getting through the mountains? All of those places are in Iran and I would bet my last dollar they are all pre-registered for both artillery and also Drone and Missile strikes on their own territory to repel the invasion. I do not have time to present my bona fides from 1969 to 2013. Believe me please, this will be no cake walk and it will be like trying to invade Japan in WW2. Toss a “tactical nuke” and do you really think the Russian and the Chinese will stay out of it? Let us consider our position very carefully.
Interesting insight. I guess that is why it will take Divine intervention in the end. There will be a “last battle” against Israel someday. The Bible plainly states that the Lord will fight against the enemies of Israel when she has no other help. A thousand years after that, give or take, the Lord will destroy the enemies of the people of God when the armies gather against Jerusalem for the last time, literally speaking. How hard are men’s hearts!
I think the to avoid all that is to cut off the money
In case it is not clear:
~About 90%-95% of Iran’s oil goes through Kharg Island.
~About 30-40% of the Government income comes from it. 45-55% of Govenment funds come from taxation.
~The crude oil arrives to Kharg Island mainly by pipes from oil fields. Kharg is not an oil field nor a refinery. It’s storage and shipping port.
~If the goal is to stop the oil export from there, a lower risk approach would be to destroy the loading docks and equipment. But if you plan on regime change you don’t want to destroy, because destruction will take months to years to fix.
~Iran supplies 1.5-1.6 million barrels/day. 80-90% is to China. 13-14% of China’s oil is bought from Iran, 20% from Russia, 14% from the Saudis, 10% from Iraq, 12% Venezuela.
~A stop of this oil supply will spike oil prices as International supply will decrease.
~At the moment Iranian oil can pass the Strait of Hormuz but others are essentially blocked. This is an advantage to Iranian oil sales and rising prices benefit them.
~A stop of Iranian oil sales will be a deadly blow to their economy that is already in a disastrous situation with about 48% inflation a year and a growing unemployment.
~Basically taking the oil is more of a bargaining chip than an immediate return on investment because they have reserves and can pull through for a couple of months.
Summary: You’re dealing with Jihadists. They will not cut a surrender deal. Not by an air campaign that is going on now and is only going after military targets and not economy targets.
You can either let go now and end off. For them it will be a win and as of now you have the most radical elements in control. They will try to use the enriched uranium to build dirty bombs.
Or you go for everything, and that is a huge change in the nature of the targets. Not any longer military targets but economy. Starting by denying the Security Forces their salaries. That means, banks that the IRGC is using, oil (I would just block all exports), printing money facilities and tax agencies – those are most of their cash sources.
Then symbols of the regime such as the Parliament, Supreme Court etc..
At some point the situation in Iran will be so bad that that many of the Security Forcrs will prefer a regime change and then the people will be able to do it.
But in any case they will damage the oil and power of the neighbors and that will damage the world’s economy. This is why Trump is not in a rush, every day their capability to inflict damage is reduced.
But, God is great and I do expect a resolution possibly not what we think.
May God Bless and protect our forces.
Iran is going to wait this one out. They are playing the long game. I think their ultimate goal is to make the US look like the bad guy and have everyone turn against us.
Right. How’s that going so far?
And how’s that working with Iran’s neighbors? When can we expect them to kiss and make up with Iran?
They are afraid of Iran. For good reasons.
1. They don’t have a choice but to “ wait us out “
2. Everyone already thinks we are the bad guys –
including the scumbag liberals side of the democrat party
Time will act against them once you start going after economic targets.
Are there Iranian or DS nuclear facilities under Kharg Island?
No.

“Our hope and trust are in the Lord and His anointed. “. Amen!
Grew up in the 70s/80s during which time the Soviets actually had nukes. Not hypothetical “might” get nukes. We were subjected in grade school to a weekly humiliation ritual of hiding under our desks for when the inevitable bomb was dropped.
According to the propagandists at the time the Soviets were crazy. Reagan called them the “Evil Empire”. Yet, they never did drop a bomb. We have Lil Rorket Man who is by every definition a madman with a nuke. Anybody losing sleep that he’s got an itchy trigger finger other than his military leaders who he periodically blasts with anti aircraft guns?
The Mullahs getting a nuke is not good. But it’s a long way from having one and using one as history has shown. Tehran would be turned into a marble before any of theirs hit ground. Is Islam any more a death cult than communism and its 100 million deaths in the 20th century between Stalin, Mao and others?
The difference is that the Islamic crazies WANT to be killed. Only through martyrdom can they gain Heaven, or so they fervently believe.
If you don’t know the answer to that, then you do not understand Islam?
You really don’t have a clue about the psychology of religious fanatics like the mullahs 🙂
The Soviets were NEVER portrayed as “crazy”. They never dropped a bomb because they did NOT want to commit suicide.
The mullahs are EAGER to commit suicide if in doing so they can wipe out Israel and/or strike a blow against “the Great Satan”.
That’s how they got pilots to fly into the buildings on 9/11. Eager volunteers.
You “history” completely ignores the reality of the psychosis of the mad mullahs.
Can you pls remind me of the mullah that strapped on a suicide vest themselves? Like all tyrants, they use emotion to manipulate the masses to their evil ends. They themselves aren’t signing up.
crazy? It does give one a jolt when walking into the lunchroom to get your lunchbox at 5pm and 2 big butts are sticking in your face and 2 guttural voices are saying “Allah Akbar”! My God ain’t like that…
“Allahu Akbar” guess I misspelled it…
How does AIPAC lobby operations in Congress conflict or augment Muslim CAIR lobby operation in Congress?
I can remember how the Albanian American Civic League’s lobby money worked wonders on Holocaust survivor Congressional member Tom Lantos to make him forget the real history of 13 & 21 Nazi SS divisions and the Holocaust of Jews,Serbians, and Roma in the Balkans. To say it lacked sincerity would be a vast understatement. I began to look into the politicization of the Holocaust and the real agenda of WWII which included who and why and what parts of Wall St funded the Communist mass murderers in Russia/Soviet Union and what part of Wall St backed the National Socialist mass murderers. What was spawned by that horrific genocide/Holocaust of Christians & Jews?

I personally do not believe that Kharg Island is the target. The military installations there have been bombed to bits, and I do not foresee Marines operating oil refineries.
Armchair: What does the US Military still need to do, that air power alone cannot?
The primary means by which Iran exerts terror is by air and sea power. Yes, they have an army, and it would practice kamikaze. But, they don’t use it.
..”…Armchair: What does the US Military still need to do, that air power alone cannot?…”
Possibly seize possession of enriched uranium and other nasties.
Maybe coordinate with locals to kill the mullah wannabes.
Underground vaults of info that exposes evil.
How long before we find out that world peace is the thing most feared by people who want power?
Once Iran is done, what else is left? China’s military might is as good as the quality of its weapons which I hear aren’t as great as they tell us. And their people, not so motivated either.
Where are the Iranian Rebels???
Waiting for someone to supply them witharms.
Do they have legs?
(Trying my best WORDMAN but probs failed).
Bwahahaha !!!
pompeo will where is he ?
When I hear the words negotiation and Iran used in the same sentence, I just turn it off.
Is the goal here to stop the flow of Iranian oil? Or, is this a move to take complete control of Iranian oil, and the sale of that oil? Control. Or, we might use the word leverage instead. Either way, the oil can flow to Iranian customers (looking at you, China) but the US can keep the proceeds out of the mullah’s pockets.
I’ve noticed the TDS propagandists calling this a ground invasion of Iran. When in actuality troops are seizing a vital island. Great move! You can’t pull a punch.
I still await for proof that Trump, Lindsey Graham, and Ted Cruz are beholden to a foreign government. Russia? Israel? Any evidence would be welcome after 10 years of hoaxing.
I love the way you think Joe , but using President Trump in the same sentence as Lindsay graham and Ted Cruz just seems wrong .! Ha !
Question 1: Can the U.S. credibly declare its war aims accomplished if Iran retains conrol of ≈445 kilos of enriched uranium?
Question 2: Is there an internal Iranian leadership dispute over surrendering control of said uranium, and is the U.S. encouraging/exploiting/monitoring that dispute?
Question 3: If 2 is yes, did the proponent of uranium surrender green light the passage of some 20 tanker ships through the SoH to signal to Pres. Trump its control, and present itself as the faction to support?
Question 4: Does the U.S. ground force build-up double as a signal to China to exert pressure on /support of an Iranian pro uranium-surrender faction, or risk a blockage of its oil imports due to hostile action involving Kharg Is. and/or the SoH?
Question 4 identified the wrong entities being pressured. Strike China, substitute Europe.
You believe Europe can exert more pressure over Iran than China can?
I believe China has struck its own deal with the US, or is negotiating it out. We have been very careful to promise China access to Venezuelan oil. Not so much with guaranteeing Europe anything.
Isn’t it interesting how a lot of those Chinese defense systems have failed recently. We suppose we defeated them, or turned them off. Maybe. Or maybe the Chinese back stabbed its purchasers. Impossible to know.
China has basically been largely abstaining from pushing back on US geopolitical moves for the last six months.
That says a lot.
The French and other Europeans, however, have done a ton of business in Iran since the JCPOA. The Muslim Brotherhood is a creation of MI6 and the Fabian Socialists, and France gave Khomeini safe harbor until he was needed to go in to overthrow Pahlavi.
The Khameinis have a real estate empire in England. The UK provides all sorts of safe harbor to the worst elements of political Islam.
So, yes. I believe the Europeans could tell the IRGC to stand down. I don’t believe they will though. The Iranians have a lot of dirt on the Europeans and the flows of money post JCPOA, including who in Europe got a cut of those pallets of cash.
Pressure goes both ways, in those relationships.
Not denying Europe’s stake in oil flow through the Straight. But that’s not to negate China’s stake (which has weapons leverage that I’m unaware exists with Europe.)
In any event, arguing over what entity is better positioned to exert influence on Iran’s possible leadership shakeup misses the point of whether causing such influence (to be directed at the fate of the enriched uranium) IS THE POINT (or one of them) of the land force build-up.
“Iran retains control of ~445 kilos of enriched uranium”. Source pls.
According to President Trump the mullahs nuclear program was deemed knocked out last year.
Here’s one. (Estimates of amount vary, but that a substantial cache remains under Iranian control is generally accepted.)

Trump Weighs Military Operation to Extract Iran’s UraniumThe president hasn’t made a decision, U.S. officials said, as he considers the risk to U.S. troops
Updated March 29

My impressions are my own. I can only say what I am thinking. 3500 Marines have arrived in the Centcom theater: Thank Goodness. Of which ground troops Secretary Marco Rubio said, “Our objectives can be met without ground troops, without any.” I am having to think long and hard about whether to trust Marco Rubio anymore. He is in every press availability with President Trump, looking like the Sphinx, with a serene demeanor, and talking like Alan Greenspan.
I respectfully opine those Marines should have been in downtown Tehran, with the Army Rangers, a week ago. George W. Bush took Iraq, in 2003, in 26 days and owned the country. That was a success, the mistakes came later. At that time, no one complained about ground troops being used — all resources were used. A gentle reader here will hasten to say Iran is larger and mountainous. Yes. So 27 or 28 days.
I don’t recall President Trump promising no more war. He promised no more “endless wars.” He stopped eight wars, and Ukraine would be over, except both sides want to continue. His bona fides as a peacemaker are secure. But there are those who want to have a quagmire and blame it on the president. In my view, every red China-paid U.S. political operative and politician wants President Trump to fail, and they have been working toward that end for a solid month of war. They are saying, “fight, but just don’t use the army, that could be dangerous and get us bogged down.”
What can get us bogged down is asking our troops to fight with one arm tied behind their backs. We hear our technology has changed. We hear we don’t need tanks anymore. Drones are replacing soldiers! We hear the Air Force is all we need these days. These are voices for failure. To never have an endless war again, we must use all the resources we have together to quickly end this war.
I don’t want someone throwing polling numbers in President Trump’s face, when he is making critical decisions how to proceed. Polls are always slanted. The sole criteria is how to win, and win quickly. If President Trump gives in to the hand-wringers and finger-pointers, it could become a human catastrophe and destroy his legacy. Unfortunately, some formerly trusted voices have turned out to be snakes in the grass. So I can only pray he adheres to his best principles and personal integrity.
We have everything we need to do this job. At least Secretary Rubio agrees, we have to finish the job. Iran cannot ever again act as the sponsor of global terror and the armory of evil. After we finish this war, Iran cannot merely resume selling oil and spending the money. That country has a obligation to repay the cost of this war and some measure of the damage it has caused globally from sponsoring terror, guns, drugs, and revolution. It’s going to take a lot of oil to pay that debt.
I agree with most of your thoughts but I think these Marines and Soldiers will be used differently than the Gulf War. The objective then was to capture territory along the way. These troops will probably be used for specific missions that the Airborne and Marines are very good at…get in, complete the mission, get out…they both have built in capability to do real damage quickly. There are parts of the Iranian military that are not under good command-and-control at the moment by the current Iranian leaders, and I’m speculating here, are going to find out that we know where they are and will be dealt with appropriately. The US has to secure some things in the country to fulfill their military objectives and some will be tasked with that mission.
Having been someone who was called from my comfy civilian life in the first Gulf War, I can tell you these guys are ready, they’re irritated, and they’re looking to punish the enemy like they’ve not been punished before. I happen to know a couple Marines and soldiers currently serving: they’ve been waiting for this moment for a long time. I served with a couple of Marines from the Beirut bombing (caused by Iran) and there have been many, many instances where Iran was behind the deaths of Marines and Soldiers. We want payback and the young men serving know this history. I have great confidence that they will execute each mission professionally and violently, as they should. That Marine General’s letter is from the Reserve Component, too. Make no mistake, that General is from my generation of Marines and he knows what needs to be done. I have great confidence in the Marine Corps’ abilities…we were taught by the Vietnam era Marines, which means we know about tough battlefield decisions. And anyone serving in the GWOT knows full well the evil these jihadists represent.
Fights’ on! as he says. Doggone straight it is. Serve this dish cold, fellas.
Sounds like you never trusted Marco Rubio to begin with.
Maybe Marco was pulling a fast one on the enemy ?
You think that every PUBLIC pronouncement about the war from our side needs to be 100% the truth? That would be pretty stupid.
Yes I do. Otherwise, no comment. We should not have to tolerate lying in PUBLIC pronouncements from public servants. That is the way it was prior to the 2012 Smith-Mundt Modernization Act passage. So, if a pol can’t tell the truth, he should zip his lip.
I don’t see Iraq as a success. Not in 26 days or the years after. He made every single person living in Iraq hate the US in general.
“Get some “!
God bless the Marine corps

We said Trump wasn’t going to engage in a ground invasion of Iran. Those are liberal goal posts. I always felt they should seize this island.
Your idol Obama dropped 17,000 bombs in his last year in office. LOL
I get the feeling that when the bombing stops and the Iranian people surge to take their country back, these troops will go after individuals in the regime and also search to bring out the Uranium. I think the Iraq militia is there to try and find the Uranium also.
It is anyone’s game right now with regard to the Uranium. I would not be surprised to find it is already in Russian or Chinese hands right now. Their ships have been in Iranian ports and have transversed the Straits recently. We can also assume they have secret forces on the ground advising the Iranians to wait out the negotiations until the U.S. midterm elections. Hoping and helping the Dems take control is on the table for them.
Look for lots of disruptions on Election Day. It is imperative we get the Safe Act passed in the immediate future to at least slow down the cheating. Thune really has to be exposed and replaced. The safety of the Republic is at stake in my opinion.
The Venezuelan/Syrian/etc model is the goal.

Don’t listen to the doomers and panican podcasters, this is the best analysis of how the Iran conflict will end in the very near future!

Trump reposted this video on TS:
It’s not logical to seize Kharg Island to cut-off Iranian oil exports. Just blockade the Straits of Hormuz with naval vessels and seize any oil tankers that attempt it’s transit!
Possession of Kharg Island is not required to cut off Iran oil sales.
All that is needed is to block transmission of oil from the mainland to Kharg for processing and transshipment. THAT should be simple and straightforward. If oil can’t get to Kharg — it can’t get out of Iran
Indisputable facts:
If Hamas lay down their arms, there will be peace.
If Israel lay down their arms, they will be annihilated.
If Iran has nuclear bombs, they will use them first on Israel and then on the United States.
How hard is that to understand? Any questions?
PDJT’s has a pretty good track record and saved us from already being destroyed by a Hillary Clinton/Harris-Emhoff Presidency.
Follow Alex’s line of thought here on his posts.
Trump understands so clearly that this is, and always will be, about controlling the energy market and it’s distribution.
I am loving his chess play here!
Why are the citizens of the U.S. suffering from high gas prices, AGAIN, because Iran has been ruled by a bunch of war mongering douche bags that are finally being destroyed? Why? Can someone explain that in one sentence? I don’t get it.
Oil is a very marketable commodity that can fluctuate in price A LOT in reaction to external stimuli like, for example, a war that is DIRECTLY affecting the source of a lot of it.
Getting rid of Venezuela’s terrorist regime, followed by Iran’s terrorist regime has fatally impacted China’s attempt at global dominance and hegemony. It has also exposed NATO and the EU as feckless paper tigers. It has shifted the balance of power in the middle east to Saudi Arabia and potentially Turkey. China will most likely turn to Russia for its additional energy demands but at a far greater cost than what they recieved from Venezuela and Iran. It will be interesting to see how PDJT leverages this new dynamic in terms of trade and security guarantees for Taiwan.

3,500 Marines…… with how many Discombobulators?
We hear about discombobulators often but not once have I ever heard of a combobulator. Having the dis part seems like a waist since there’s no combobulators to begin with….right?
An observation you might want to consider: be aware of the hand you don’t see.
Meanwhile, a glorious Palm Sunday and Holy Week to you all.
“…the hand you don’t see.”
IMO, if President Trump approves the introduction of ground troops into Iran(which I fully support because “boots on the ground” is the only road to complete victory over these zealots short of a repeat of Hiroshima/Nagasaki). The hand we don’t see presently is the activation of terror cells here at home upon the introduction of ground troops. We know, thanks to radical democrats'(is there a different breed?) open border policy that terror cells are here, and I think they are here for just this purpose of creating domestic havoc in just this type of situation because it will put a huge amount of political pressure on the Trump Administration. We’ve seen a similar movie before with the Vietnam War.
Flush em out
Those people that “just want to be left alone “ are ready . I’m not going to live in fear . Bring it.
God, protect these men and women who are deployed into one of the most dangerous regions of conflict. We bow our heads and recognize your authority over this matter. May the islamisc horde be slayed at the hands of righteous Christian warriors.
Amen

Thank you Lord for watching over our people who are fighting evil in The Middle East.
In Jesus’s name, Amen.
The destruction of civilian and military infrastructure is the only way to solve the problem without deploying boots on the ground.
This is NOT good!
On Friday, midafternoon, not a cloud in the sky, about a dozen low-flying military aircraft, flying one plane at a time going east to west, flew over metro(Buckhead) residential area. I am not in the ATL airport flight pattern area, and Dobbins is about 25 miles north of me. Very, very sporadically a military copter flies over. Each flyover was loud, low and too fast for me to ever get a glimpse of a plane at my window. Last plane was so low could almost feel my home vibrate a little. My retired military friend said it was probably reservists on practice runs getting ready to probably ship out. It was a bit unnerving.
Dear Iran –
Carrot

Stick.
You choose.
Thank you for your attention to this matter…
I’m sure the Israeli forces will be sending in a brigade of their precious troops to assist with a land invasion, yes? No? Maybe a battalion then? A company? A platoon?
Or are they too busy invading southern Lebanon and killing unarmed women and children instead? Seems they rather excel at that instead of proving their worth as “our GrEaTeSt AlLy” and joining our troops in a battle which they started.
I think he’s moving pieces around the chessboard, that’s all.
I’d like to share my thoughts on this topic in general.
Love to all. Be not afraid. Be watchful.
Former Centcom commander: US military has been working on Iran ground raid plans for years
Excerpt:
Retired Gen. Frank McKenzie, the former commander of U.S. Central Command (Centcom), said Sunday that the U.S. military has been working on plans for a ground raid in Iran for years, as President Trump is reportedly considering sending troops into the war.
“Margaret, for many years we’ve considered options along the southern coast of Iran, seizing islands, seizing small bases. Typically raids. And a raid is an operation with a planned withdrawal. You’re not going to stay.
