All past elections must have kept women and people of color from voting. The elections before 2020 were generally same day voting that required I.D.s with no massive mail-in voting allowed.
It’s amazing that Democrats won any elections at all in the past since Republicans made it almost impossible for Democrats to vote.

Why else would Israel prosecute this war? They’re self interested, just like we are. That makes Kent no less of a dirtbag.

I confess that, for some reason, today was one of the most difficult days visiting President Jair Bolsonaro.
As I entered the room, I came across that once strong, now “listless” man in the chair, his head down, sobbing (hiccups) as he slept. I had to back off. I stood for a few minutes in silence outside, trying to compose myself, before going back in.
When I came back, he continued the same way. I walked over, patted his head, and he didn’t even react. They explained to me that, because of the strong medications, their sensitivity is even higher. He even wears a bracelet with the indication: “RISK OF FALLING”.
When I woke up, I chose not to say anything about what’s going on out here. I just commented, in a light way, on Augusto Nunes’ new look, a fact that took away a “astonishment” from him upon awakening.
My father remains in the semi-intensive care unit, his voice weak, drowsy from medication, and complaining of weak breathing, likely due to his third consecutive bout of pneumonia after his unlawful arrest. I witnessed more than five vials of blood being collected for testing.
I did my part, with humility. He told me he liked my presence and that I would be back tomorrow.
I leave the hospital destroyed, as I honestly didn’t expect to be.
But we followed. Tomorrow is another day.

Leftist judge decrees that Arkansas can’t choose to have the 10 commandments in their schools. Arguments against centered on the 1st Amendment.
The plain text says, “Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the Government for a redress of grievances.”
A state is NOT CONgress. In fact, during the founding of the nation the rights of states to decide for themselves regarding such matters was of particular importance and the idea they couldn’t would have scuttled any hope of a United States.
Further, the 1st Amendment explicitly protects the right to freely exercise ones religion and to freely share what one things (“speech” has long been held to include not just voice, but print and other forms of communication).
There is absolutely ZERO legal grounds for ANY court to use the Bill of Rights to prohibit what Arkansas did. Nor does a display of the 10 commandments in any way prevent students free exercise of their religious beliefs or “Free Exercise” rights.
