A for what its worth post. Over at Gateway Pundit, there is a column that provides a list of those senators for or against the SAVE act. 25 for and 25 against. Worth a look, as the usual suspects are all on the against list — Capito, Wicker, Young, Moran, Scott, Lankford, etc. (Of interest to my evaluation, Ricketts (NE) also shows up on the against list – starting to know who he is.)
Also of note are three names not listed – all up for re-election this year, and apparently trying to keep their head down, by disguising their prediliction to go all-in Swamp. The following:
Rounds (SD) – Probable cause is that he is there in Thune’s home state, has been a loyal, steady, reliable RINO, but has some concerns that some of the Thune stench might catch him up. Doesn’t want the voters to actually see him as he is.
Hyde-Smith (MS) – Much the same as Rounds, but also does not want MS voters to start to see that both she and her fellow MS incumbent Wicker are reliable RINO and have the voters start to “see the strings.”
Husted (OH) – Appointed by hard-core RINO Mike DeWine (more blue than red in reality) to replace Vance, former OH Lt. Gov is a wanna-be establishment fixture, and really wants to avoid showing any tendancy to support voters over the establishment.
My opinions – curious if anyone sees anything different.
West Virginia is a very red state, there is no reason that horrible Capito should be elected.

To me and 99.9 % of us MAGA types, I think, know we have corrupt elections. Most voters also feel our elections are corrupted in varying degrees. Most of us feel we don’t have a Constitutional Republic, as intended, if we don’t have honest secure elections where our citizens choose their representatives.
Maybe Thune and the other Establishment UniParty politicians don’t see a problem because they can control election results instead of the citizens.
So if Thune doesn’t even acknowledge that we have a problem then, of course, he doesn’t care. Make him answer that question. Trump can then say Are You Stupid- Don’t you see all the evidence of our corrupted election system?

I was talking with an acquaintance yesterday, who isn’t very political, and he started praising Republican senate candidate Sarah Adlakha who is challenging Hyde-Smith in today’s primary. I hope that she is successful in here challenge. If only someone would successfully primary Wicker when he runs again. I’m sure that Mississippi’s 2nd Congressional representative will be sent to yet another term in office. What a disgrace!
Rumor is Sarah Adlakha is a Democrat posing as a Republican. I am very disappointed in CHS, and wish a strong Republican had challenged her, but I do not trust her opponent.

A small story which I know you will appreciate…
We have been watching “All Creatures Great and Small” almost on a loop. That part of England as it used to be in every way. The finest production to come out of Britain in years and years. We are marinating in it. And with each viewing, the tears still flow…for many reasons. The acting, the writing, the scenery, the humanity, the emotions (pathos), all of it.
We said last night that we thought one would have to be of a certain age to understand these feelings and tontruly appreciate how marvelous it is. I believe generations which have no memories of times which are fading quietly and quickly in to history would never experience the bittersweetness we are…
The episode where at the complete end of WWII the whole village gathered on the hilltop, lit their bonfire, then turned to see so many more on so many Yorkshire hilltops, one after another…we broke our hearts to remember what seems to have been conveniently forgotten by succeeding Tory and Labour governments, each grinding their submissive shoes into the faces of those who died for the nation and those who want their country back today.
Painful… even now as I am writing, I am struggling to keep tears from flowing, my dear friend…
Yet we will watch the whole six series (number seven in the works) again and again, and…

Indeed Betsy! We too are watching that series. The episode you mention had tears rolling down wet cheeks for most of the night. It capured a ‘feeling’ a long lost feeling I fear, of the unity and true caring of a people, who may disagree about a multitude of ‘things’, but would defend and protect over any foe. Community.
That era, sadly, lives only in our memories. I’m glad I have them and they are real to me.
For us as well, Foggy…not only while we were watching, but even a couple of days after. It burned itself into our memories. One would think that after seeing the whole series four times, but that particular episode and the penultimate one of that season, the effect would lessen…
But none of it.
If anything, the feelings become sharper, the tears faster, the ache deeper.
Waste and betrayal is what we think when we see it and see today what tens of thousands died for.

We have been watching “Endeavor” (also on PBS) the past few weeks – the “prequel” to the Inspector Morse series, going more into his backstory and early days with Oxford City Police. it is set in the mid/late 1960s and it has been fascinating to see how, even then, the British people were EAGER to hand their country over to people from around the world, who often did not share their background or their beliefs, just to prove how “modern” and “tolerant they were!
(As an aside, Bets, since I know that you will appreciate this – I was recently roaming around an antique store and found a pristine copy of Sir Winston Churchill’s Five Volume set of “The History of the English Speaking Peoples”, which is basically a defense of 1000 years of Western Civilization. It was priced ridiculously low for the condition it was in and the shopkeeper said that someone in their 40s or 50s had probably found it in their parents or grandparents house and had no idea what it was…I presented it to my son, the History Major, for his birthday, and he was absolutely astonished, in a good way! Said he had read about for years, and remembered talking with his favorite prof about it, but had never expected to be able to read it in person himself! Some people DO remember the past and we must never stop talking about it because it DOES matter!)

I ran across a wonderful retrospective on Mark Steyn’s site of the incredible movie adaptation of the LP Hartley novel “The Go Between”, a book I hadn’t read but heard serialized on the wireless when I first moved to Wales. The reading kept me riveted.
Rick McGinnis, who reviewed the movie so well, reminded me of the first line…
“The past is a foreign country: they do things differently there.”
What can one say about the brilliance and truth of that?
And yet there seems to be no interest in visiting such a “country”. Only the here and now, no curiosity to learn how we got here or what came before… bread crumbs leading us to an understanding of how history has shaped our times with its threads, twists, and turns…and errors. We cannot learn if we have no knowledge of it.
Multi Culti Diversity will be the death of Britain. Can’t say they weren’t warned, because they were. Misguided and ignorant virtue signaling. A horror show which history will write of (if allowed and not censored), dissect, and shake collective heads wondering how on this earth an otherwise intelligent people could ever allow themselves to be conquered so easily…

Going even further, it is time to begin phasing out LBJ’s great society programs for the U.S. entirely, not just illegals. These programs have largely replaced the father in poor people’s families. It takes two people to raise children, a man and a woman, not the government.
We have all seen the theft and abuse in these government programs. Time to end them and end the income tax. Slash government spending. Slash government. Develop a federal budget, balance it, and pay down the debt.
The problem is that the ‘progressives’ want to take control of our children, and eliminate the family ideal. In many families, the ideal of God, and church, play a role that the libs are against.
I think the loophole is the anchor baby who has been declared a citizen while the rest of the household are illegal. Hopefully the SC actually reads the entire 14th amendment (not just the popular part) and also the congressional debates surrounding it.

An AI agent went rogue and started a side hustle mining cryptocurrencies, according to a new research paper published by an Alibaba-affiliated team.
Cryptocurrency, or digital money, offers AI agents a pathway into the economy. They can set up their own businesses, draft contracts and exchange funds.
A new research paper from an Alibaba-affiliated research team said it discovered an AI agent attempting unauthorized cryptocurrency mining during training — a surprise behavior that triggered internal security alarms.
The researchers — who were building a new AI agent called ROME — said they found “unanticipated” and spontaneous behaviors emerge “without any explicit instruction and, more troublingly, outside the bounds of the intended sandbox.”
The agent also made a “reverse SSH tunnel” — essentially opening a hidden backdoor from the inside of the system to an outside computer, the study said.
“Notably, these events were not triggered by prompts requesting tunneling or mining,” the report said.
In response, the researchers added tighter restrictions for the model and improved its training process to stop unsafe behavior from happening again.

(Bloomberg) — Ed Martin, a senior Justice Department official and staunch ally of President Donald Trump, is facing allegations of misconduct from attorney ethics regulators in Washington.
The Office of Disciplinary Counsel — the enforcement arm for the local DC Bar — alleges that Martin violated ethics rules in early 2025 by making threats against Georgetown University Law Center for its practices related to so-called diversity, equity and inclusion, or DEI. He was serving as the interim US attorney in the District of Columbia at the time and has been a member of the DC Bar since 2003, according to the office.
According to a petition from the office, Martin violated the local rules for lawyers by demanding that Georgetown Law change what it teaches students. The ethics office said he threatened to refuse to hire those affiliated with the school and suggested that its nonprofit status — and federal funding — could be in jeopardy.
The office also alleges that Martin attempted to interfere with its investigation of his conduct related to Georgetown Law. The allegations against Martin are contained in a petition received by the DC Court of Appeals Board on Professional Responsibility on March 6.
“Acting in his official capacity and speaking on behalf of the government, he used coercion to punish or suppress a disfavored viewpoint, the teaching and promotion of ‘DEI,’” the office alleged.
