President Trump captured a fantastic moment with the gold medal winning USA Mens Hockey team during his state of the union remarks. After the Olympic team spent time in the White House earlier in the day, the team was introduced during the state of the union with thunderous applause and chants of “USA, USA” from the chambers.
Even a few of the communists in the audience stood to applaud the team as President Trump highlighted his remarks about their success and the very unique nature of the team as a whole. A very American moment.
.

Winning! Very special moment for a gutsy team unafraid to stand for american values.
🏑💕🇺🇸
They stood for values just like the majority of “quiet” Americans do. There will come a day when the “quiet” ones have had enough and will decide to turn up the volume…
Five of the teammates refused to meet President Trump and go to the SoU speech. Sad for them. Because of TDS, they missed out on the event of a lifetime….
They will regret it some day. Maybe not soon – but some day.
For a split-second I was reminded of the power of the former USA, when the nation had a singular identity and purpose.
That passed, and I witnessed the gap between us deepen. Anger first, then a giant question of “how do we proceed?” that really doesn’t have a good answer. Retreat and defense is the South African model, and I can’t see that working here any better than in SA. Permanent displacement of traitorous people? Loyalty test? None of those are working plans either.
The answer is, I think, complete defeat of the enemy and his philosophy; a muscular and popular movement of Constitutional principles and education, yes a throwback to pre-1968. But that is a long-term strategy demanding much of everyone.
Dammit, but I wish we’d never gone down the path of intense stupid.
Indeed, “Even a few of the communists in the audience stood,” is a sad reflection of the current absence of community. That such a thing could be stated . . .
Dan, when self-identification as a socialist or communist produces universal scorn and rejection, the country will have turned the corner on this scourge. Achieving this will require a public attitude that may exist in latent form today, but bringing it into full bloom is a necessary step. I see President Trump as planting the seeds by pointing out that “they’re crazy”. Sundance labels them without qualification as communists – no basis for debate there. Also, Sundance cautions us against pretending. So why pretend that legislators who favor illegal aliens and insider trading are anything other than criminals and enemies. I’ll pray for the salvation of our enemies, but until they change they are enemies.
They are the Democommunist Party, in spirit, if not by name,,,yet.
“Demmunist” has a nice ring.
I’ve been calling them Democrat commies for a long time
America’s Christian heritage goes hand in glove with a love of country.
America is a unique experiment in world history, a people coming together under the belief that, because their rights are God-given, they are unalienable. And that with those rights comes civic responsibilities. And those recognitions, for so many years, provided the stability and impetus to raise the United States into arguably the greatest example of a self-governing people history has ever seen. For so many years, God was at the center of our understanding and provided the imprimatur for our political discourse. And as a nation that put God at the center, it enjoyed His blessing.
If you are nostalgic for what America used to be, then look to the God that made America what is was. He was the lifeblood of the nation’s character, its decency and moral certainty. It wasn’t perfect by a long shot – no human society, corrupted by sin, is perfect. But it was the best shadow of the promise of that verse…
“Thy kingdom come, Thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven…”
…that we are likely to see until the Lord returns.
Even so, come, Lord Jesus.

What a special moment of Americana!
I am reminded of my youth and a time now forgotten when it was a special privilege and distinctive HONOR to be recognized by the President of the United States. I still have and cherish my President’s Physical Fitness badge from the 1970’s initiated by President Kennedy.
We used to celebrate Excellence in Achievement. Now we award participation trophies.
Teeth on the ice used to be a right of passage and a barometer of The RIGHT Stuff.
I guess it could be worse. Canada’s male and female hockey teams got Carney Participation Trophies for the millions spent on their Olympic endeavors. 🙂
They are True American Athletes
Maybe some of their Patriotism will rub off on Our Youth
Our Country is Very Proud of these players
I think it just might!
And look what Time Magazine did!
https://x.com/adamcarolla/status/2026518564061196764?s=46
Shocking? Sadly not!
Time what? That rag is dead. Once again, communist infiltration. Huff what as well. Even liberal slanted folks see it.
Truly disgusting rag.
How are they still in business? No one subscribes and doctor’s offices have mostly gotten rid of magazines.
And if not that…line the bird cage….
When Time gave Gorbachev the “the man of the DECADE” award over Ronald Reagan that’s when I stopped buying.
The win and the aftermath glory and recognition restored a moment in time of who and what USA was and President Trump is trying to regain. I remember the 1980 Miracle on Ice as if it were yesterday. These moments are locked in my mind as will be today’s. No one can take it from me or diminish its worth.
I was born in ’48, right after WWII, when the country had so much pride and patriotism. Same for Trump. Last night brought tears to my eyes when they awarded the Purple Heart to the living and deceased National Guard soldiers shot in DC. I have my WWI grandfather’s Purple Heart. It’s the most beautiful medal of all. The Presidential Medal of Freedom & Congressional Medal awarded were very, very deserving and made me so proud to watch.
This was the best SOTU ever for me as it detailed President Trump and his entire Cabinet & staff’s phenomenal accomplishments to bring USA back to what is was created to be AND it put the spotlight on well-deserving citizens who, like you and me, participated in accomplishing the best they had to give to give us back what former politicians on all levels have stolen from us.
Thank you, President Trump, for repeatedly shaming those Democrats and SCOTUS for still robbing us of our best. No longer are we blind. No longer are we afraid to call them out and shame them. No longer will our athletes take a knee. Thank you, USA Men’s Hockey Team!! PTL!
This is a President who operates on the same wavelength as our Founding Fathers! God has brought PDJT to us at a time our Nation Needs a righteous, honest, and God fearing person to right this Nation! Praise the Lord for His Gift!
Amen to that!
Absolutely!!!
Very well stated. It was a speech for all the ages.
My father was born in 48, I always loved to hear his stories of when he was a kid and of the past.
He told me about when he came back from Vietnam how different the country had become, and he always wondered if it was he who had changed.
He realized it was the communists that changed this place.
We treated our VN vets terribly. I didn’t understand it, but time has to some degree shed honor on their service, but will never make up for how they were mistreated. The country had changed, but so had your Dad. The awful people back then are the same breed as today. This time, we have a president who won’t allow the mistreatment of our military. Your Dad served honorably. The politicians put us into VN when we never should have been there, but I appreciate that your Dad served. Many do.
The two Marines who managed the funerals for both of my parents at the Lake Worth Veteran’s Cemetery (’07 and early ’08), had been victims of abuse upon return to the USA, after serving in VN. They told stories of having things thrown at them and being spit upon at LAX as they were in uniform.
That broke my heart.
VN was my generation. I was always a bit of a late bloomer, so I wasn’t involved in the hatred protests back then, but I watched on tv all the protests. I knew how the VN vets were spit on. Decades after, truth surfaced (no internet then).
Prez Johnson said : AI..President Lyndon B. Johnson’s quote regarding the August 1964 Gulf of Tonkin incident was, “Hell, those dumb stupid sailors were just shooting at flying fish”. This comment, made privately, suggested that the reported second attack on U.S. ships was unsubstantiated, despite being used to justify escalating the Vietnam War.
Then SoD McNama said “We were wrong” (see embedded video re VN.”
Secretary of Defense Robert McNamara appeared at the LBJ Library to talk about the Vietnam War. McNamara had served through the Kennedy and Johnson administrations and was one of the architects of the war in Vietnam. After he left the administration, he revealed that he had changed his mind and he felt that he and the President he served and the others that were involved had been wrong: “There are several reasons I’ve chosen to speak out about Vietnam now. The most compelling one I state in the preface and I’ll read it for you: We of the Kennedy and Johnson administrations who participated in the decisions on Vietnam acted on what we thought were the principles and the traditions of this nation. We made our decisions in the light of those values. Yet we were wrong. I believe we were terribly wrong. I believe, therefore, we owe it to future generations to explain why.”
Should have SPIT on all of those neocons instead of our vets. It ruined many VN vets who returned to hatred, and they themselves (many) turned to drugs, homelessness, and alcoholism, and are still suffering from ruination.
I have nothing but hatred for the neocons. PDJT is 2 yrs older than I. He probably knew more men who went to VN than I. Lives destroyed. He knows firsthand what alcoholism did to his brother.
I have nothing but disdain for all of them & compassion & sympathy for those like the 2 Marines you reference. Thank God for President Trump who helped Vets during his 1.0 term.
President Trump understands true patriots and the critical importance of a strong defense. This he highlighted during his State of the Union address. Teaching children about strong bodies, discipline, endurance, strategy and the importance of team work begins in youth sports. Many youth will learn that the US Olympic Team’s goalie Connor Hellebuyck was awarded the Presidential Medal of Freedom by the President in the House Chamber last night. President Trump ceremoniously reinforced all of those good qualities team sports teaches our youth (sadly and obviously missing from the other half the chamber and the other gender).
President Trump honored our current heroes by his in-Chambers award of the Medal of Honor to Army Chief Warrant Officer 5 Eric Slover, the CH-47 Chinook pilot, wounded while bravely flying to complete the mission of capturing Maduro. Finally, President Trump recognized our past warriors as First Lady Melania gently placed the US Medal of Honor upon 100 year old Korean War veteran E. Royce Williams. It was a memorable event.
Korean Vet and Navy pilot Royce Williams deserves the honor.
It’s unfortunate that it had to come sooo late in his life, since his actions showed that it was Soviet pilots and planes we were fighting in Korea – not ‘North Koreans’.
I wonder if the truth had come out at the time… what impact (for the better) it would have had?
So many, many, useful idiots even then were cozying up to anything Soviet or communist.
The timing of the US Hockey win was perfect!!! Fit right in with the fabulous SOTU.
No one is better at timing than PDJT! We’ve seen it over and over and over again!
I remember being so happy with the 1980 team winning, this of course brings all of that back.
Congrats to those guys for getting it done!
😂😂😂“ Even a few of the communists in the audience stood to applaud the team …” I like that..
MAGA!! 👊👊🙏🏻🙏🏻❤️❤️🇺🇸🇺🇸
I have lived long enough to have watch most of the SoTU from Carter to Trump III (yes, THREE).
Other than Reagan, I have rarely had the stomach to sit through an entire SoTU until last night. I witnessed the best Trump.
It was quite simply the best SoTU I have ever viewed. THIS Trump last night is the magnificent one. THIS all the time THIS ONE, please, Mr. Prez! He delivered flawlessly!
I almost didn’t watch it because I felt the D Rats would just be yelling at him all night. But boy was I ever glad I did. PDJT undressed the D Rats for the whole world to see how they hate Americas and its citizens.
Brilliant — another facet of the Trump Doctrine.
Hockey players have always been salt of the earth people, no nonsense rough and tumble get the job done, not letting anyone get in their way. Old school Americans. We salute you!
I wonder if the Women regretted not going there, but they probably did not watch last night. So sad.
The women (many are student athletes) did truly have schedule conflicts. They will be at the WH at a latermdate.
A very American moment. – Sundance
That says it all!!! Sundance is a wonderful wordsmith! Pure joy!
Sundance is unparalleled.
So proud of them!
Right before the Olympics started, Netflix released “Miracle: The Boys of 80.” Well worth a watch. I can’t get through any of those retellings (including the outstanding dramatization/film Miracle with Kurt Russell) without choking up.
I don’t know if Trump mentioned it, but Team USA won the most medals it has ever won at a Winter Olympics, which was a big deal, too.
What a speech, for the ages.
The barbaric nature of hockey brings out that redneck construction guy admirer in Trump. Most rich guys always want to show their cultural bona fides while Trump likes that beer swigging bar fighting type of action. It showed with his admiration of the hockey team.
Wow, just wow. It made me so proud of those young men, our President, & our country. God isn’t finished with us yet. Or the world for that matter. Last night was the America of old. 2nd Chronicles 7:14 comes to mind.
Such unabashed displays of patriotism remind me of the best days of the great Ronald Reagan.
This is what America is about, not the borderline psychotic picture the Left tries so hard to project. This is what America looks like when people appreciate the blessings of American citizenship and haven’t become so jaded and entitled that every good thing has turned sour.
God bless America!

President Trump gave a Masterful Speech for the SOTU. Very Importantly was the Contrast between America 1st and democRat Bolsheviks.
The SHAMMING of the democRats was Clearly Evident for those with Eyes to See. Unfortunatly not all Americans have eyes to See, but Lying eyes.
None are Perfect, but There is a Baseline of Decency. The democRat’s Treason of the Invasion of Millions Illegals with Now Protecting Them, Even When Felons/Criminals is Beyond the Pale.
Likewise for Skool Gov Trannie Pogroms that Take Minor Children Away from their Parents, Pure Tyranny.
Choose Good over Evil and just Win. In God we trust!
“Communists” is right
Say what you want but DJT stood there, called out the dems (libs, communists ect) to their faces and they had to just sit there and take. It was epic!!!
Like a Boss and they had to sit there… that was worth it all …..now all the midterm election ads will show Dems glued to their seats when ask ,do you love America first ? PDJT provided them with a gold mind ,free of charge.
Is it dusty in here? I seem to have something in my eyes.
They were allowed to stand for a sports team, but not for American citizens.
Any way of getting the names of the skanks who did not stand? They must be mocked.
Jeff Childers at Coffee&Covid described their entrance this way:
“President Trump also honored the USA’s ecstatic gold-medal Men’s Olympic Hockey team, which was funneled into a sullen press gallery:…”

Those de-pressed people looked completely cornered as the hockey team surrounded them, occupying the aisles on either side. Looks like they didn’t know whether to throw their laptops or start cheering.
I begin to sing that song, “I’m Proud to be an American!” when I see moments like this.
It was Patriots vr Hatetriots in our House.
All of our proud America Luving Patriotic Congressmen/women stood in our House of Reps at SOTU to Shout for Joy and cheer our Gold Medal winning USA Mens’ Olympic Hockey Team. Woooo Hooooo! USA, USA, USA!
The House Dem Hatetriots remained seated and mum at our athletic Heros entrance,.. probably sulking in their misery at watching America rejoice their marvelous performance that reflects on all Americans.

Ya have to wonder why so many democrats didn’t stand, right? Hmmmm….could it be that they’re ALL white?
