I am kind to people when I am out and about (regardless whether they are grumpy or pleasant).
However, I have made some extremely hateful remarks directed at various politicians, judges, etc. here on the Treehouse. 🏡

Your venting is ok if it is directed at Mitch McConnell…it is difficult NOT to vent as such evil, vindictive and just plain nasty people.
I know we should all pray however there’s a LOT of folks who just can’t pray for evil ones.
McConnell is the latest person for the left to use. Like Feinstein and Biden before him, Mitch has very little going on in his brain right now and is weak physically. He’s a man on his way out of this world being used and abused by some ruthless powers trying to stop the Trump agenda, the agenda most of America wants. It’s shameful what they do to these elders who cannot function on their own and who are not making cognizant decisions. Other people are. We the voters should have demanded term limits long ago. No more career politicians.

Very beautiful and Betsy I think we forget because of what we are seeing everyday and doing here, that a majority of people will be much like this guy if they get the chance. At least in my small corner of the world, people do still go out of their way to help others if they see a need. It’s the one thing that still keeps a small flame of hope for my family and the future of America and the world alive in my heart.

Thanks for that! I often wonder why people don’t internalize and focus on the “return” they get when they commit an act of kindness? In most cases it far exceeds the effort or “cost” of the act itself. I try to make every interaction with others a positive experience, whether its context is at its root positive, benign or “contentious”. That seems to keep everything in my life moving in the right direction.
It seems that our institutions, from a very young age (think nursery rhymes and fairy tales), seek to create a culture of taking, rather than giving, and villains and victims. I don’t think that is by accident.
Even and maybe especially the smallest courtesy or act of selfless kindness might mean the world to the receiver of it, John. I always keep this in mind.
And no…not by accident.

A few will get slung off into space, but most will come along for the ride of their lives.

Here is the game plan that the forces against Trump will be using for the foreseeable future.
They will attempt to get you to make the perfect the enemy of the good.
Be it the freedom clowns and spending, the immigration hawks with H1B visas, the peace doves with timing, the cultural warriors with total bans of DEI/CRT, the neocons with war fighting, or the swamp dwellers with draining the swamp.
All of them will attempt to get you to believe on whatever issue is the issue of the day that it doesn’t go far enough or do enough. They will try to make you think that some sub issue of that issue is more important and should be handled first, that since the issue hasn’t been handled yet it won’t be, that we can’t do more than one thing, that so and so is a plant to stop the draining of the swamp, or that because it wasn’t 100% Trump lied. On every single issue, one or more groups will attempt this strategy.
You can’t allow them that power over you. If Trump secures the border and deports 2 million, don’t allow them to reduce that good by them saying well he didn’t deport 2.5 million, so he failed or lied.
You can’t allow them to use the perfect to void out the good in the coming months.
They will try. They already have with the CR and the H1b visa debates. It works, that is why they use it. You have to keep it in the front of your head on everything about to occur that half a loaf or hopefully in most cases 7/8ths a loaf is better than no loaf.
Do not allow them to gaslight you into thinking the good is the enemy of the perfect.
In the real world, most things are never perfect, but if we try real hard, we can get plenty of good accomplished in the coming 4 years.
The purpose and goals of President Trump are plainly visible by his actions and consistent: He is for the benefit first of the common PEOPLE of this country, then of the PEOPLE in the rest of the world. It is validating, even to our battered conservative skepticism.
The methods of his leadership are amazing. I still don’t get HOW he does it, or HOW he is able to get so much momentum going, but every day the momentum is growing. Everyone and every organization has their eyes opened every day — just by watching him. Even those who hate him, are biased against him, and want to see him gone — cannot ignore him. He lives rent free in their head, and they come around to seeing the universal principles by which he is operating. He hammers actions based on truth from one direction, then another, and they cannot mount an organized opposition against him.
President Trump is transparent in his words and actions. He is consistent in what he says, what he does, and what he asks/demands of others. His promises are bold and he keeps them like no other president has. He is making massive, nearly overnight changes, not only in our country, but in the world. It is amazing that he is able to accomplish so much when there are so many snakes in the grass. This term, he is weeding them out faster. No U.S. president has ever faced so much organized resistance and treason than President Trump
He has chosen to use his intellect and every skill he has to do what is right. He has tremendous faith that he can make a difference in this world. He has a confidence and courage such that he doesn’t care what others think, yet a humility to know he has to do it with the help of like minded people. Those people are the “common” people, and he ridicules those who think they are not common.
He believes people are basically good. He believes that God is real. He believes that healthy people are happy people, and they need to be able to create wealth freely for their labor, and have the freedom to spend their money on what is good for them.
He believes the United States, with its Constitutional Republic, is the best environment in the world to enable and give opportunity for people to be happy and prosperous.
He believes that we can be a light for the world, but we must demand that the rest of the world respect us and our right to life, Liberty, and the Pursuit of happiness.
He believes the enemy of our country are the stupid, greedy American people who have been selfishly taking advantage of this country; who betrayed the trust and obedience of its people; and who diverted the people’s wealth for their own selfish gain, at the expense of the principles of this country. He’s not going to allow that anymore.
He has cultivated and focused the family of MAGA. Identifying those people whose goodness, industriousness, trust, and obedience have been taken advantage of and abused. He has opened our eyes to this abuse, and the rights of freedom and self determination that have been quietly stolen from us.
He has rekindled the healthy distrust of government and men with too much power held by our founders. He has recultivated the desire to reclaim our freedoms and rights, and is empowering us with a hope and pathway to reclaim our spiritual and economic freedom.
He wants the US to be a light of hope on the hill for all people. He will negotiate win/win agreements with those nations and countries who respect us; who respect the principles and intent of our Constitution. If you do not respect us, however, we are not going to let you take advantage of our goodness, or share in our wealth at our expense. If you as a nation are treating your people badly, you are going to be treated less favorably by us, until you show that you value your people as much as we value ours.
He is convincing those who are very wealthy (most of whom truly earned their money), that the best economic soil in which to build wealth is in a constitutional republic, which supports the ability of the common man to earn wealth in proportion to his efforts. The economic engine of the United States is the human spirit freed to enjoy the fruits of honest labor, and that engine has more natural and raw horsepower than any other governed economy.
The Trump Train seems to be remarkably aligned with universal principles of Truth, which reflect the will and design of our Creator, and are the best standard by which we should live. These same principles were what our country’s founders used to declare independence, and framed into the Constitution of this nation.
Our founders believed that a nation should preserve the right and freedom of an individual to seek, understand, and live by God’s principles. They believed that free individuals working together in humility would make a stronger nation than a government which dictates its will on the people. President Trump professes and seeks to lead and restore this nation back to these same principles.
These principles resonate deeply within all human beings, down to our DNA in every cell, in our spirits, and produce fruit that “miraculously” multiplies. Because we follow universal principles, we see the snowballing acceleration of momentum on day 33 of the 2nd year of the 2nd term of this very stable genius in the history of the kingdoms of this world in the year of our Lord 2025.

Went to the Fulton County website for the 2020 election:
Biden was credited with about 380,000 of the approximately 525,000 votes registered.
That 70% of the vote total was the highest for a D presidential candidate in Fulton County since FDR.
If the 132,000 mail-ins trended similarly and needed to be voided for failing to meet GA Law, PDJT would lose about 40,000 votes while Biden would lose the remaining 90,000. That would be a 50,000-vote net gain for PDJT who supposedly ‘lost’ GA by fewer than 12,000 votes.
There is no way on God’s green earth that the potted plant received 81+ million individual, legally-cast, American citizen votes — IT.DIDNT.HAPPEN!

I immediately fell in love with the South. Being on the road, I got to see almost every nook & cranny of each state. I especially loved Northern Alabama as well. Made many friends there. Throughout my 44 year career I spent much of of my time working in Southern States and found them all wonderful. Live in Tennessee now as an old retired guy. Never went back to Illinois.
Why would anyone need a college degree to be a sales rep? That has been the problem my whole adult life and demanding college degrees for every piddly little job is what got us into this mess.
Would guess a couple things might come into play, what degree is in and what the sale product is.
Had a few classmates in my time that went to college as that is what parents wanted and to have a way to get off the farm.
One in particular got some degree and ended up being an equipment salesman, others insurance and finance.
Just depends.
Vietnam was just winding down, some had lost family members, was zero appetite for military. Still had to register but draft had ended.
Actually, a “liberal arts” degree was immensely helpful in my sales career. Understanding literature and history helps discern human nature, writing effectively and being able to do research also helps.
Familiarity with other languages, dialects and cultures (gained from life experience that resulted from a spring board in my college) also helped.
And by the way, being in sales is usually not a “piddly little job” as you portray.
I have found it rather fascinating, and also applied all of those experiences and skills in my successful mid life start up venture.
I had the same experience though not as extensive or sustained as you. I found Alabamans fun (conversational, friendly), gracious and good business people/partners. I always enjoyed going there-we had a lot of laughs.
Stay out of Montgomery for sure and B Ham ,once a great fun city, now the armpit of Alabama. Just to get a taste of some of our politicians look no further than the the DUD wearing the Rug in the House , and our ever popular Senator Shelby who finally retired thank god. When we do get a good one like Tuberville they can’t get out of DC fast enough.

Otoh, I have put a few days on Gemini’s Fast model since I started a $7/mo Google Workspaces Business account, which has unlimited access only to Fast, limits Thinking and Pro to five prompts per day. And I am REALLY impressed with Fast. And the Workspace account wraps their “Enterprise Grade Security” around my work with Gemini, so hopefully only our government can see my data and interaction. (ahem).
These tools are allowing me to do big projects I never had time to do, in hours, and Fast has a sense of humor. Not as much as #1 Hen, but much more than a turtle.
I exceeded Fast’s symbol table limits by day three because I have been concurrently work on complex projects including politics, fraud analysis, stock investing, electronic circuit design, and generating Ubuntu and Android apps for a boatload of BT sensors and cameras. So I am learning how to segment knowledge context into portable files that establish what this tool does for me. That way I can start a fresh session and boot up the appropriate context for another project. This keeps the model from getting confused.
When I am ready to expand my biggest three projects, I will need to upgrade to the $170 Standard package so I have enough symbol table space and reasonable access to the Thinking and Pro models.
For m3, it will pay for itself. It is an amazing tool that can be used to make amazing tools.

I would advise considerable caution when using AI in general. While it can do things of defined scopes fairly well, it also produces false information. We have access to both the full, fairly unlimited Gemini and a self-contained, firewalled version of ChatGTP and the handful of simple regulatory research tasks given to them has exposed their training data flaws. In the case of the latter, it also shows its UK heritage via the way it spells words.
Blue-haired doesn’t begin to describe it. Even when given strict boundaries and direction, it still goes astray. What they do seem good at is pure data processing and analysis.

The 25th is fundamentally broken by design. It expects the Cabinet to make the determination. And, it presumes that, if the office holder were incompetent and unable to do the job, those surrounding him would want to replace him. When they created this Amendment, presumably no one had heard of an “auto-pen.” 🤡

It is even worse. When the V.P. and cabinet do act, all of Congress must vote by 2/3rds in each house. We know how hard it is to get 2/3rds to impeach in the Senate, but the 25th requires that and 2/3rds in the House too.
Not very likely to succeed.
Worse still, unlike impeachment, the 25th doesn’t permanently remove the President. It just makes the VP Acting President. Whatever that is.
The President can always declare that he has returned to health and start the fight over.

In a move of breathtaking cynicism, the Court now claims the President lacks the authority to protect our economy, conveniently punting the issue to a Congress packed with members whose seats are bolstered by a census of illegals and the shadows of fraudulent voting.
It’s the ultimate closed loop of betrayal. When the States tried to challenge the blatant fraud of 2020, Roberts and his institutionalists hid behind the coward’s shield of Standing. They told the States they had no right to complain about their neighbors cheating. Now, they tell the President he has no right to act without the permission of the very people who benefit from that cheating.
The Court’s logic is a trap. They claim we must look to the people’s representatives to correct these existential deficiencies, knowing full well those seats are the fruit of the poison tree. To suggest a compromised Congress is the remedy for a compromised system isn’t judicial philosophy it’s a PR strategy designed to pacify the Left while the nation burns.
The President is the voice of the little people, not an illegitimate Congress. It’s time the voice of the American people was heard, even if it makes the cocktail circuit uncomfortable.
