The textual critics, maybe eluded to above, separate references to Elohim from references to Jehovah as being contributed by different groups of priests. They also say there are yet more groups of priests contributing and one or more redactors along the way. This shifts authorship to the time between David and Ezra. And it seems as if multiple religions were combined into one.
But like everything put out by scientists, this theory seems to be discarded for new fangled theories. Now they are in favor of a theory of it all being written after captivity. Tower of Babel and flood stories as their main proof.
Sometimes they devolve to religious devotion to the concept that it must be all lies. Take Jesus dual prophecies about him and the temple. Jesus died, check. Jesus resurrected in three days, check. Temple destroyed decades later, check, Temple rebuilt in three days, still waiting. Somehow that becomes it couldn’t have been authored until after it happened. Written after the Temple was destroyed. But it was written millennia ago, and the Temple still hasn’t been rebuilt.
Did you know Abram was from Ur and that Ur had flood stories before Abram? Or that the textual critics teased out J lines and E lines from the singular flood story? Implying there were two different flood stories that had been woven into one? Just like having two different creation stories? Though I haven’t heard why the creation stories and the flood stories were treated differently.
On the other side, when comparing biblical stories with archeology, there are so many almosts. Tales recorded in Egypt that sound like biblical stories but with differences. Names, dates and similar details. Almost as if real events had been mythologized and then those myths were combined at a later date.
There was a great famine that had people relying on Egypt for food.

The first mention of Israel in Egypt was in a war monument listing all the little kingdoms some Pharaoh claims to have conquered.
And many more, giving too many possibilities, thus making it difficult to pin the biblical stories down to real events with real dates.
Even the ruins of the Hyksos capital is just a few km from the ruins of the city Ramses built. Leaving lots of room for confusion.
It is really hard to pin these things down.

Truth, benzy. Was talking about the very thing over lunch. While I’m still observant of political developments, (especially locally of late) since I live in a neighborhood with a largely otherwise quite nice population of neighbors who tend to vote progressive, I’m perfectly content to not engage them in political discussions.
For example . . . in a recent conversation two neighbors I like, insisted that Fascism was not a form of socialism. I politely responded that, having taught social theory for several decades, I knew what I was talking about.
They, however, being much attracted to socialism insisted that “Fascism was right wing politics” and therefore couldn’t possibly be a form of socialism. There was a time when I would have happily had a vigorous discussion with them . . . but this time I just let things drop. My 81 years told me that further discussion with them just wasn’t worth the effort to overcome their ignorance.
Good morning Dear Garrison. I basically, in my almost 76 years, have thought the same thing. It is no longer worth the effort to change their ignorance.

The Enlightenment birthed two revolutions. American and French. The French Revolution birthed the concept of the Left.
The American Revolution implemented Adam Smith’s ideas of Liberty. (The terms capital and capitalist existed but the term capitalism had not yet been coined or applied to Smith.)
Socialism arose out of repugnance to the Industrial Revolution, birthed the term capitalism in a very negative manner, identified itself with the French Revolution and stole the term ‘Left’ for itself.

This is not science fiction. This has been deployed not long ago. I don’t know orders of magnitudes. Probably just beginning but it is fully operational and going to change modern warfare.
I hate propaganda videos.
I have been wondering what it takes to do this. Ever since that laser was mounted in a jet, it seemed that technological development would make this viable. Laser’s defending ships. Truck mounted lasers. etc. Maybe even the manpad equivalent some day.
But how much energy does it take? How small can the capacitors be yet still unleash enough energy? How long does it take to charge up those capacitors to fire again? How can it maintain coherence as it passes through the atmosphere? How long does the beam need to stay on target to cause enough damage? How can the beam be maintained in one place on a moving target?
All technological hurdles that must have been overcome for it to be effective. Yet ask yourself these questions as you view the film.
Is it like a SAM site with tracking radars separate from the laser? Are the power generators contained within, or does it need separate trucks for power and fuel? How many missiles can it take down? Showing all those different missile launches, or maybe different views of the same launch, makes an implication, but the film never showed multiple targets being destroyed at or near the same time.
The Iron Beam System was developed for a very long time. All your questioned and barriers were taken care of.
A single interception cost is less than $10 while an interceptor from the Iron Dome is tens of thousands of dollars.
This is not a Propaganda video. This system has been deployed to protect Israel as an additional layer.
You can dig on it on YouTube or Google it. What you see in this video represents its actual capabilities not a single event that it worked. How long it should be on a target was solved. It is not for Ballistic Missiles. It is for short and medium range missiles and rockets and for drones. As I said. It’s a beginning phase and it will only get better.
Well as an example, a steelhouse chain (one of them had a mass shooting at it that was in the news) converted their “burn tables” to laser, of which they had 2.
One of them was replaced or “upgraded” IDK not a regular customer of mine, mainly emergency service when I was on call. (we didn’t work on those tables)
Anyway they converted to Laser cutting from gas cutters more than 15 years ago, it pretty much ran 24/7/365 cutting whatever product they were making out of 1.5″+ plus steel stock, I’m sure it cost way less than whatever gases they were using. (oxy acetylene at least)
It had the same floor footprint as the gas version & way cleaner, so no giant capacitor packs were used & probably not a lot of energy, the Laser dome would only be active for probably less than a second at a time to cut thru just about anything like butter.
All cuts from the burn table were perfect, unlike the gas cuts before, no smoothing or grinding necessary or at least very little.

The PP’s spokesperson in Congress, Ester Muñoz, confirmed that her party will vote in favor of the proposal. Party leader Alberto Núñez Feijóo described the defense of women’s dignity in relation to the burka as an “attractive” idea put forward by VOX. The framing marks a shift: what was once treated cautiously under the banner of multicultural tolerance is now presented as a question of women’s rights and public security.
The VOX proposal would prohibit the burka and niqab—garments that fully or partially cover the face—in public spaces and in privately owned venues open to the public. It also provides for financial penalties and prison sentences for those who coerce women into wearing them, and possible expulsion for foreigners who commit very serious offenses. Biography: Geronimo was an Apache military and religious leader and from the Bedonkohe band of the tribe. Born in what is now New Mexico, he was a key figure in the Apache resistance against the United States and Mexico during the Apache Wars, becoming known for his leadership and fierce resistance.
Originally named Goyahkla (meaning “One Who Yawns”), he later received the name “Geronimo,” a Spanish version of the name Jerome, possibly given by Mexican soldiers. He emerged as a leader within the Apache community following an 1858 incident in which when a Mexican military expedition attacked his family’s camp, killing his mother, wife, and children. This event fueled Geronimo’s resistance against Mexican, and later American, expansion into Apache territories.
Geronimo’s strength made him a respected and feared figure among the Apache and their adversaries. He was often able to elude capture, continuing to fight despite being vastly outnumbered and outgunned, all of which only added to his legend. He led numerous raids against Mexican and American settlers and troops, both in retaliation and as a means to sustain his warband.
In 1886, after years of conflict, Geronimo surrendered to U.S. forces for the final time. He and his followers were sent as prisoners of war to Florida, and later to Alabama and Oklahoma. Geronimo’s surrender marked the end of the Apache Wars and the broader Native American armed resistance against U.S. expansion in the Southwest.
In his later years, Geronimo became a celebrity. He appeared at fairs, including the 1904 World’s Fair in St. Louis, and in President Theodore Roosevelt’s 1905 inaugural parade. He dictated his autobiography in Spanish in 1905, and it was later published with Roosevelt’s permission.

Father God, I now follow your command to put on the full armor of God, because my battle is not against flesh and blood but against rulers, authorities, the powers of this dark world and against spiritual forces of evil in the unseen world.
I first pray on the Belt of Truth that it may be buckled around my waist, may I be centered and encircled by your truth dear Lord. Hem me inside all that is true and right, and may I be protected and held up by the truth of your living word, in my Lord Jesus name.
I pray on the Breastplate of righteousness, please protect my vital organs and my inner man, cover my integrity, my spirit, and my soul. Guard my heart for it is the wellspring of life, please strengthen and guard the most vulnerable places in my life with that which is right, good, and noble that I might not receive a fatal blow from the enemy, in my Lord Jesus name.
I pray on the Gospel Shoes of Peace. I choose to stand in the shoes of your good news, and on the firm foundation of my Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, the solid eternal rock. All other ground is sinking sand, I pray that I will not slip or fall, but that my feet would be firmly fitted on your lordship, my Lord Jesus. I choose to stand on you, so that the peace of God, which transcends all understanding will guard my heart and mind in Christ Jesus, the eternal Rock of Ages. I receive your holy peace now my Lord, from the sole of my feet to the crown of my head, in my Lord Jesus name.
I pray the Shield of Faith into my hand now. As I take up the shield of faith, I ask that you might extinguish every dart and arrow that is launched from the enemy to take me down spiritually, physically, mentally, emotionally, and every attempt of the enemy to destroy my joy. I ask that my faith in you would make it flame out. Extinguish every flaming arrow that would come against me, my life, my family, my home, or my ministry. May my faith always be out in front of me like a shield. Give me the courage to “faith my fears” by choosing to walk by faith and not by sight, in my Lord Jesus name.
I pray on the Helmet of Salvation, that you might protect my mind from the thoughts that can lead me astray. I choose to take every thought captive, and arrest all intentioned ideas and motives that would harm others, or distract me from your holy will for me. I submit every captured thought to the Lordship of my Lord Jesus Christ, and ask that you would imprison those thoughts that are not of you my Lord. Transform my mind and renew my thinking that I may think God thoughts, and have a sober mind that is focused on your glory. Please protect me from being double minded that I may allow my mind, I reject to live an earthly life, because I choose to live a holy one, governed by you My Lord Jesus, the prince of peace, please have my mind to be saturated with the holy mind of Christ, in my Lord Jesus name.
Finally, I take up the Sword of the Spirit which is the holy word of God, I pray this powerful offensive weapon into my hand, and ask that your holy word would be fitting for every encounter I face. As the enemy gets close to me, please give me the insight, wisdom, and skill to wield the word of God to drive away the enemy, in my Lord Jesus name.
May the enemy and his team flee from me, upon hearing the word of God spoken by the power and direction of the Holy Spirit. Give me the sword of the spirit to cut through the wiles of the devil, so that I may discern the schemes of the enemy when he is near.
With all kinds of prayers, supplication, and intercession I pray to you my Lord God as the one who fights my battles. Now that I’m in your holy powerful armor, I walk away covered and ready to face my day as you go before me, and please protect me in the midst of the spiritual warfare in this unseen world, in my Lord Jesus name.
Thank you my Lord, for the spiritual weapons of armor and prayer that you have given me. It is written no weapon formed against me shall prosper, and you will refute every tongue that accuses me.
Thank you Father God, my Lord Jesus and the Holy Spirit, that I am more than a conqueror in my Lord Jesus. I pray all of this in the mighty name of my Lord God and Savior Jesus Christ, Amen.

I could really use a Treeper Retreat. Nice cabin in the hills of Nashville, Indiana… lots of yummies, libations, and camp fires.
I passed my notary exam for my job. Was going through supplies needed and it was a bit expensive. Asked God about a deposit that was coming.. sure enough… He placed it in my account a week sooner than it was expected.
Of course… you know the next prayer I asked for… I mean… if God is feeling generous today… of course I’ll ask for my daughter’s healing and sound mind.
I keep hanging on for miracles which may be just around the corner.

Top Story: Nor’easter — Blockbuster Blizzard — WATCHA major storm is likely to develop out of the Southeast U.S. and emerge off the Mid-Atlantic and either head (1) East out to Sea or (2) snuggle up nicely off New England and pound the I-95 corridor into submission (with snow)
Current trends with AIFS and GFS —> major impacts, while the ECMWF IFS has been flip-flopping back and forth with 06z closer to the coast. This system is in the 5 to 6 day time frame, so predictability of the track should be pretty good into tomorrow — meaning we can either lock-in a blizzard or send it off to sea. I’m favoring the AIFS since it incorporates the model bias intrinsically when it generates new forecast simulations.
AIFS has 18” to 24” for every big city from D.C. to Philly to NYC and Boston. Clean sweep — grand slam “blockbuster blizzard”
Right now Sunday and Monday is the time frame for this to happen but intensity, area covered, and the time it happens are subject to change.

My brother has identified 8 different bald eagle nests within a 25 mile radius of us. Every great once in awhile we see one flying over our property but we aren’t close enough to a large enough body of water for a pair to nest near our place.

There was a nesting pair (of eagles) about a 1/2 mile from my home in Monrovia. DNR was watching it at least during daylight hours, DNR marked car parked at a someones home barn just off the road when I left for work, and still there when I came home.
Tho it was more interesting passing by the “Noah” guy as he had 2 (pair I assume) of alot of various somewhat exotic animals, in a many acre 10/12 ft fenced off area. Caribou/Reindeer, Peacocks and some other random things from time to time, IDK what/why he had or did with them.
One story about the Peacocks tho, a co-worker who lived further down the road from me had stopped & told him that a Peacock had come out of his area and was in the road, the guys reply was when informed….. If you can catch him, you can keep him.
I’m sure it knew what time feeding time was & would be back for it.
“Our” Peacock stopped by the feed this afternoon. He looks much more colorful and has a much fuller tail now. It is headed towards that time of year.
