Asst Attorney General Gail Slater was the head of the Antitrust Division of the Dept of Justice. Today she announces she has “left her role.” CNN is reporting that AAG Slater was fired.
Gail Slater was in charge of the antitrust division and a hawk on the mergers and acquisitions of Big Tech and Big Corporate media. As head of the DOJ Antitrust Division, Slater’s view on competition was against the interests of the major Big Tech billionaires and corporate media conglomerates who intersect with them.
Slater was in a position to influence the Warner Brothers-Discovery’s deal to sell the Warner Bros. studio and HBO to Netflix, which Paramount (David Ellison) is trying to stop.
If you have followed the influence of Larry Ellison (Oracle, TikTok) and his son David Ellison (Paramount, CBS) in/around the Trump administration as it relates to Elon Musk (a beneficiary of Ellison), then the timing of Gail Slater’s removal doesn’t look good at all.
Gail Slater came into the administration as a part of the JD Vance network (Peter Thiel, Palantir, etc.), and it looks like that same Vance network stood aside and watched Larry Ellison leverage his position to see her removed.
Slater was a solid MAGA voice in a critical Antitrust position against the interests of Big Tech and Big Corp. However, I said on Christmas Day 2024 – we were likely to be very disappointed by the influence of Big Tech/Big Corp in the White House {SEE HERE}.
Via CNN[…] Slater said in her Thursday post on X: “It is with great sadness and abiding hope that I leave my role as AAG for Antitrust today. It was indeed the honor of a lifetime to serve in this role.”
The anti-trust division is expected to play a critical role in assessing Netflix’s Warner Brothers Discovery’s deal to sell the Warner Bros. studio and HBO to Netflix, which Paramount is trying to stop by appealing straight to shareholders with its own bid. (CNN is owned by Warner Brothers Discovery.)
In an NBC interview last week, Trump said, “I’ve decided I shouldn’t be involved. The Justice Department will handle it.” But Paramount CEO David Ellison returned to the White House last week to meet privately with Trump, two sources familiar with the matter told CNN. (read more)
There may be something else in the background that we do not understand. However, when former lobbyists and political consultants become key administration officials (Wiles, Bondi) these types of outcomes are possible.

And yet another “incident/situation” tied to Susie Wiles. The wheels are starting to feel quite wobbly on this large bus. Add Bondi’s behavior during her “appearance” at the hearing yesterday, I am thinking President Trump NEEDS to get involved.
I don’t think this is about her actually, I think this is entirely related to these tech giants.
I was embarrassed as a Christian MAGA / AF republican at Bondi’s performance yesterday. I actually wanted to hear a straight answer to many of the questions.
Her behavior was childish and shameful.
So was Hawley’s today.
No it wasn’t.
I thought he looked & sounded exactly like an unhinged dim (sic). However, his motivation could have been simply to get his talking points ‘on the record’. Regardless, it smacks of very poor theatre. I’m sick of it. Everywhere we turn we are being lied to. Bank on it.
She gave the left a lot to work with and this is the problem.
I think what she’s doing is uniting us in our dislike for her.
She is the one needing fired.
Not one respectful ? asked. Instead a long prequel, setting up a false dichotomy, followed by a ” have you stopped beating your wife? And then every time, just a sentence ot two into a constructive answer, constant harassment and refusal to hear a developed answer.
Lots of rah rah let’s hate comments here, always near the top of the thread.
I posted my response before I saw your comment. I thought she did a pretty good job!
“The Dow is up 50,000.”
Look squirrels…👉🐿️🐿️🐿️
Or as the leftists are framing it.
Pedo is ok if the stock market is at 50K.
Yeah that is exactly right.
What we’re not seeing here is that we actually very united in wanting these Elite Pedo Satan worshippers that rule the world taken down and out.
They want them arrested too. They are not wrong in saying that.
I don’t care what the stock market is, this needs to get dealt with and it’s clear that Pam is not going to do this.
I think she was referring to the multimillionaire Congresscritters stock traders, like Ratskin.
Epstein topic is the squirrel
Trump loves it.
If you watched it, realize Bondi was ambushed. She was repeatedly asked questions, then when she began to answer them, they prevented her from answering them. They kept shouting “Answer my question” and “Mr President I recall my time”
I hold the view that the time taken in subjects’ responses in congressional hearings should not be counted against the time allocated to members. That way, it would be up to the chair alone to limit the time taken up by subjects in responding to members’ questions.
Disagree, a set time limit for A question, followed by a similar set time limit for an answer.
Agree, but, I think Variable has a point, the answer time allotment should not be subtracted from the congressperson’s question time allotment.
That’s what I heard too! Even when she tried responding to a question, they spoke over her answer.
can you adjust your reaction to the adversaries that were before her?
truly…I consider it a 9/10. (no one gets a perfect score)
God Bless America
Thank you!
The witness should never raise voice or show any emotion… speak slowly, clearly and methodically during the small amount of time being allowed to speak…
Within the confines of the rules in the forum in question, when faced with a hostile question, the witness should respond by directly correcting the record of the false factual assumption in the question. If the witness isn’t allowed to continue speaking by the questioner, stop talking and wait for an opening, if one is given go back to correct the record from the original unresolved question until the time runs out.
Keep it linear and don’t let any first false assumption question rest until the record is corrected or the time runs out. Insist upon not letting any false premises rest until the witness decides they are satisfied with their correction of the record. What likely would end up happening is the questioner makes a speech for nearly the full time. The public will see it for what it is… a ridiculous campaigning performance by the questioners.
You can literally have an entire hearing lasting hours wherein the witness is only correcting the record on the first one or two false assumption questions because the questioners barely ever let the witness speak.
Because she’s nothing but a show pony. Absolutely zero indictments so far that matter. She’s beyond Jeff Sessions in a dress and more along the lines of flat out pathetic. Tic Tock she’s running out the clock until the midterms when she’ll likely have an excuse for her ridiculous performance.
Isn’t it always? I cannot listen to her.
I listened to the entire session and imo I thought she did pretty well. The dems are either stuck on Epstein, asking trick questions or berating anyone who is in Trump’s administration. Yes I noticed a couple of instances she went overboard but overall I gave her a B+.
From a politician’s standpoint, selling the people and the nation out for campaign funding must continue. The spice must flow.
Shoulda been her boss that was canned.
Her “performance” yesterday was pathetic. Complete Clown show as she came across as an unserious person (cuz she is). Pls see Bessent’s testimony from last week as an example of how “it” should be done.
Perhaps replacing AG Bondi will be a “process” instead of a lightning bolt? Any nasty, unpopular decisions coming up?
Blonde’s work in FL demonstrated what she can do and can’t do and how weak her moral and ethical compass is. No one that paid any attention to her FL stuff should be (or is) surprised.
There’s an old saying in auto and motorcycle racing: never over-drive your headlights. It means stay within your abilities on the track lest you crash and burn. We are seeing her limited abilities, but Trump says she is doing a “great job”.
And Rubio’s too.
How many jobs can we talk these two men into doing?
Bondi is a Susie Wiles crony/plant.
Yes, indeed, and maybe Wiles was pushed on Trump by someone he could not say no to. I hope that is the case, because Wiles is responsible for a lot of crap that does not appear until later.
Bessent makes an art of it, awesome to watch, so, glad he’s supporting Trump.
When the Mob wants to eliminate an internal threat they don’t send an enemy, they send your friend.
The Judas Kiss.
<When the Mob wants to eliminate an internal threat they don’t send an enemy…
they send your friend.>
Everything I know…I learned from The Godfather (10 second clip):
Sundance, in all seriousness, do you see ANY possibility that President Trump will remove either Wiles or Bondi before the midterms? I can’t believe that he doesn’t understand all of the traps that are being laid for him but he still seems to think that these are great people who are doing good work on his behalf!
To this day, I can never understand why Trump continues to say Blondie is doing a good job. Trump keeps pissing off the MAGA base and he is going to have a difficult time in the mid-terms.
This is happening.
It has always puzzled me that when people get ticked off at a President they don’t vote in the midterms. That’s when you (try to) select the person to speak up for your interests in the legislative branch. You know, the guys that actually make the laws…
Suzie Wiles is whispering in his ears that she’s doing a good job.
Suzie is the Trump whisperer.
Or Wormtongue.
To this day, I can never understand why Trump continues to say Blondie is doing a good job
I’ve long thought that it’s simply his style to speak well of people, dating to his business negotiation days
I presume you keep any dislike of people close to the vest and basically glad-hand everyone involved
Then attempt to cut them off at the knees re business aspects, but do it in a civil demeanor and put on a public show of smiles all around
Just my opinion, formed early in his first term
Like in Congress, how they refer to “my fine colleague and gentleman from South Dakota”
Yes, exactly his style. He says a lot of positive things about people, then, sometimes very shortly thereafter, clobbers them with a club. He is the same with Zelenski and Putin.
Examine President Trump’s style. He openly compliments friend & foe even if it seems incongruous. That sets the table. It is his style.
His base is going to start wondering if he is up to the job when he doesn’t see what his base sees.
I do not think so. Wiles is anchored. President dings her praises.
Unfortunately, I sense that the power structure told DJT after
Inauguration, “okay, we’ll let you in for four more years, but we will have our people where we want. Any move you make otherwise will mean legal/financial misery or perhaps tragedy for your family”
You have to support your people.
It is unacceptable to criticize publicly.
Criticize and reprimand in private.
At some point, if her behavior sinks to lows the President cannot accept, he will have her move along. Shouldn’t be done publicly.
So when does that happen? Her behavior and performance has already sunk to lows that no one can accept. She’s anti-MAGA and incompetent. But she’s blonde, so there’s that.
Undo influence aside, I’d much rather see Ellison in charge of Warner than Netflix.
This guy? He’s worse than Bill Gates.
Found this 2010 quote about Ellison that describes him as even worse than Gates to be very illuminating:
“Ellison is also among the most feared executives in corporate America, well-known for his aggressive style and hardball tactics. “He’s pretty cutthroat,” said Sloane Stricker, chief technology officer for Broomfield-based Datavail, which provides database support services. “And if you asked somebody, they’d rather work for Warren Buffett or Bill Gates.””
https://www.denverpost.com/2010/02/26/oracle-wields-hefty-muscle-in-colorados-tech-sector/
Whose intentions are for us all to “behave” like the politicians (var. Tyrants) want us to:
https://arstechnica.com/information-technology/2024/09/omnipresent-ai-cameras-will-ensure-good-behavior-says-larry-ellison/
Nah. Hard pass.
Ellison is a globalist, Israel First Zionist and any media he owns will always push expansionist Israel polices over the interests of the U.S. and “everyman” / middle class U.S. citizens. Just look at the clown show fake republicans they are hiring at CBS to get so called balance. Every single one of them is old guard globalist war pig uniparty type republican. The kind of republicans we criticize here everyday or ones we never even heard of because they contribute nothing.
Gail Slater is a tremendous asset to MAGA / AF and losing her is a huge mistake but as with many other policies, the wrong choice was made against the best interest of all of us.
They are doing that ya know because they know damn right well we’ve lost complete faith in anything at all that is government.
The theme at Davos last year was “rebuilding trust”
I can see a whole lot of controls being put into place very fast..and during at Trump term.
Netflix with the Obamas is worse. Jeez.
It’s not even close.
No he’s not. Ellison is not a globalist. He’s purely professional. Built and runs a great business. He’s ruthless, respectable. His politics are tied to his business acumen, the end.
You are incorrect. Ellison is Israel first, personal friends with Bibi and supports, with cash, the IDF. Never does he support US military. Mrs. Sunshine is correct.
Ellison is a globalist, like Gates. He built and runs a great business. I don’t know about ruthless, probably, most are like Jobs, Gates, Musk. He is more respectable than Gates and Musk, stays out of the press with his social life more than those two.
I can never understand that, despite whatever topic the conversation is about, someone has to inject ‘Israel’ into the conversation.
Netflix is worse.
It has not been a good couple of days for the Trump administration. First, the Bondi fiasco yesterday (we must consider that the dumb blonde theory is in play) and now this. I guess you can’t win them all.
Any “victory” by The Communists and their Totalitarian Technopolist allies means America’s rebirth is delayed or – depending on the victory – worse.
It worries me.
So basically MAGA is screwed again by plants and traitors and crappy decision making.
Robert Barnes has made comments recently re how great a job she has been doing (and surviving). From what he said, I was in agreement. Now another one bites the dust. Not good. Nope.
Sundance: “…the timing of Gail Slater’s removal doesn’t look good at all.”
We’re going to be in a position very soon where no governments are going to be able to control these tech giants-we might be there already -this woman being gone may be a symptom of that.
(I believe they intend to control the world and leave governments in the dust)
There may be a few good ones that will follow rules, but with their completely warped outlooks on humanity, it’s going to get ugly.
“One Ring to rule them all, One Ring to find them, One Ring to bring them all and in the darkness bind them.”
It’s a travesty, and I really wonder if President Trump really understands the gravity of this. He seems to be in a cacoon created by Wiles where no truth can penetrate. Really reminds me of the bad days of the first term.
Unfortunately we can’t really know.
President Trump does hold his most critical strategic “cards” very close and does not reveal them until he either plays them or makes a play that signals what’s in his hand (what he knows).
And it has become very apparent that we don’t always know or correctly guess his strategies, his priorities, or his tactical plan.
I think we are all dealing with our own awareness, hopes, wants, and priorities and constantly seeing that the president’s don’t always align closely with ours at the detailed level.
But his priorities do align with ours far more closely than any other president in our lifetimes, so that’s the source of my trust and support.
Who? Bondi? I never heard Barnes say a good word about her.
No…. about Slater.
Money and power. Power and money. There’s no getting around it.
And CONSISTENT prayer! We need God’s Help now more than ever!
My local talk radio show airs Armstrong and Getty, today they were sounding the alarm about the rapid speed of which AI is exploding at a shocking speed.. things produced only a few months ago are now unrecognizable in their improvements the guys were explaining.
They also said that if you are impressed by the free AI, you should see what the AI you pay for can do.. these guys have been using this to do things for the show and their minds are blown in both the quality of what can be produced and also the speed of how this is all improved to this degree. One host is a former DJ, music guy, he’s playing around with making music himself using the AI he pays for and he cannot get over how good it is.
Then, this article is at the top at ZH:
Microsoft AI CEO Warns Most White Collar Jobs Fully Automated “Within Next 12-18 Months”; Anthropic Fears Potential For ‘Heinous Crimes’
https://www.zerohedge.com/ai/microsoft-ai-ceo-warns-most-white-collar-jobs-will-be-fully-automated-within-next-12-18-months
From the article:
I’m no economist, but I know what massive jobs losses looks like when I see it and don’t ask me what a wave of white collar workers are going to do. They won’t be doing the jobs opening up from the deportations.
I really believe that the entire Guthrie thing, the Superbowl drama, it’s all kept people occupied and not watching that AI is going to take us over.. and the avalanche of fallout in the societal changes we’re going to be slammed with.
Who voted to live in tech cage controlled by the pedophile Elites?
**Guess what is going to happen to Commercial Real Estate !!
Well, If we can just get Lawyers and Judges replaced so the truth is told and justice is fair I’m all in.
The people developing AI have neither the interest nor the ability to develop anything capable of acting in ways in which “truth is told and justice is fair.”
Moltbook AI – The Social Network for AI Agents
Yes, I certainly don’t think this is going to go well.
These tech giants are certainly the our pillars of morality.
*Edit: that should read “These tech giants are certainly NOT our pillars of morality”.
I assume you left off, “sarc”?
Ummmm, replace “all” lawyers and judges with AI? Then the only results you get are those from AI. Do you think the stuff put into AI will be, “so the truth is told and justice be fair”?
At least now there is some degree of chance we will get a law following lawyer or judge.
Who would be inputting to AI a Weissman or Clarence Thomas type?
It’s funny you say that.
As I was writing all this, I was envisioning all these hoity toity white collar workers that never did a day of physical labor in their lives– and wondering what they’ll all do now.
AND given what junk college now is, and the cost of the degrees they already paid for, I can’t see retraining as an option for most of them.
That’s what I’m thinking.
Having suffered job loss because of DEI over the decades, I wouldn’t wish it on even an enemy. Especially when the job market is not good. It is devastating mentally, especially if you have a family to support. Loss of all the white collar jobs will not be good for any of us as a society. This will have far reaching consequences. I certainly did not vote for any of this.
How in the world would any of these corporations think this is “good for business” in the long run is beyond me. Who do they expect to support their business future….blue collar and the 1%? This will kill off countless small and even large businesses. I mean think about it, from hair saloons, auto, all aspects of real estate.
Of course the pro AI will tell you new occupations will spring up …..but how many new occupations did we see when manufacturing was lost…..certainly not jobs that supplied a living.
They said the same thing about computers 50 yrs ago. Yes, computers changed the world and took over some jobs. But it also created more new jobs.
One good thing about AI is that 95% of Hollyweird is unemployed within the next two years. The next generation of ‘actors’ will be AI generated that don’t exist in the real world. They won’t get paid and they don’t suffer from TDS. Think about that!
Same with news anchors. AI/Jake Tapper will be “live” 24/7 with fresh “news” and raccoons trashing a store videos.
This will not be the same……sheer numbers wise. I am sorry but any song or movie, no matter how good, that is AI produced, will not be listened to or watched with the same amount of appreciation. When we see fellow human beings excel it is inspiring.
AI is only useful when there is developed data to plug into. . AI doesn’t innovate, has no ability to critically think, inspire, motivate, or know lies from truth. The more that it is employed the lazier the brain will become.
Someone posted this link yesterday – re the business of current software now being able build new program based on a few words of plain-spoken English, and audit themselves, upgrade and improve themselves, etc. The writer of the article says the time frames of shockingly ALL-NEW developments and applications are sort of down to weeks now.
It’s one of those articles I enjoyed reading because it’s about stuff I actually don’t understand at all, but I can understand the writer’s discussino of it. I’ve saved the link to share with family, etc. His general theme is – “It’s not ‘coming’. It’s here.”
Matt Shumer on X: “Something Big Is Happening” / X
I read the Shumer article you referred to. Into my 3-ring binder it goes! I sure hope my kids start asking the right questions soon. 1/4 with computer-desk jobs has already been “let go” from his company.
Interesting point those Armstrong and Getty guys said today about what jobs to steer young people in:
They said learn how to learn, and don’t think that anything at all you do may last that long.
It seems like they envision a very fluid jobs path.. for the lack of a better word.
They said that Elon spoke about all this on Joe Rogan’s show and they played a clip of that.
Elon was explaining what is going to go very soon.. anything that can happen at a desk basicially.
The work of the Trades, welding and that sort of thins is safe for the time being, but they have their eyes on any aspect of this they can do too.
So those guys were saying in 10 years they’ll be likely well within that too.
So that led the conversation into basic universal incomes, and what the heck will happen to people if we have nothing to do?
It’s scary because this isn’t all just imagining the future, it’s here, it’s real and it’s happening.
…and I think of another issue – secondary to the # of “jobs lost” at the front end of this: this kind of software will apparently be capable of whipping up any kind of software the leftists want for controlling people, controlling product distribution/flow, medical appointments….the kinds of nightmare scenarios we saw in the covid controls can be whipped up in a week or less, adapting to and making use of personal information, work or medical history, reading preferences, etc.
Their dreams of ability-to-manipulate and control will come true – dream up what kinds of needles you want to stick into the little doll and – it’s done and online within days.
Consider what the leftist who can’t figure out how to get an ID or a fulltime job will be able to bring about with this. I don’t think it’s hyperbole to suggest that personal sifting of all kinds will be at their fingertips.
We talk a lot about Preppers and prepping.
I think that we all need to get our personal affairs prepped right for all this and really fast.. I mean condense and simply perhaps? what do we even do?
What will privacy even mean? I think nothing, it means little now.
The “own nothing and be happy” thing has a lot of truth to it actually because I see a whole lot now as risk that ain’t worth it.
It may not make us happy, but we’ll sleep better.
People need to be useful, to themselves and others, whether there is UBI or not. Otherwise, most go mad. We need a purpose in life. We also need connection to other people. Perhaps, freed from the 40 hour work week, we will return to connecting in person.
Connecting? You mean after we nearly kill off each other …..we will go after them? That kind of connecting?
How’s the saying go ….idle hands are the devils… or is it idle minds? ….both could apply couldn’t they?
I saw that as well.
To me, the article read like a PR announcement about the wonderful powers of AI. There was a click-baiting fear-mongering tone to grab everyone’s attention, but the overall message was how strong and powerful AI is becoming.
Such a PR announcement comes at a time when AI investment is increasingly being viewed as a bubble. I do not think that is a coincidence that we had this fear-mongering hype injected into the public consciousness at this moment.
While I view AI as a potential danger to many things in many ways, I also know that Greeks developed a steam engine 2,100 years ago. Humans, of course, were unable to harness the power of the steam engine for another 1,900 years.
In our time the resources needed to sustain AI are enormous, to the point of possibly being impractical.
I sense the danger, but I also see the bubble.

What happens to AI when an Electromagnetic Pulse form a high altitude nuclear blast takes out most of the electrical grid? Or we are hit by another massive solar flare/storm like in 1859?
https://www.nesdis.noaa.gov/about/k-12-education/space-weather/what-was-the-carrington-event
“Back then, the telegraph was just about the only communication technology they had. Today, such a storm could severely damage satellites, disable communications by telephone, radio, and TV, and cause electrical blackouts over whole continents. It could takes weeks or longer to fix the damage.”
https://www.history.com/articles/a-perfect-solar-superstorm-the-1859-carrington-event
Good points..
An attack on all this is quite a real threat in this day and age too.. even domestic threats.
From the above post: “In our time the resources needed to sustain AI are enormous, to the point of possibly being impractical.” I live in a small town in east central Missouri. Our whole area, both east and west of us, is being torn apart with torn up Highway 70 for adding another lane both directions between maybe St. Charles and Columbia, and farms are being bought up for data centers to be built. Every small town around except for St. Charles is going to have a data center. Evidently local governments have been working on this for several years, it just was not known about until very recently. Here in my town at the end of March they are tearing out the overpass over Hwy. 70 and if I want to get to church on the other side of the highway, I have to drive east to the next exit or west to the next exit. This will last for at least three months, maybe more. Round abouts are being put every where, tractor trailer accidents are happening daily because they can’t negotiate the round abouts. We are hearing about how our electric bills are going to explode because the data centers will require so much power and there will be a water shortage because the data centers create so much heat they will need so much water to keep them cool. I guess my question is – is all of this because of AI and is it happening here because we are in the middle of the country? There is conjecture that the new lanes are being added to Hwy. 70 because of the trucks and the data center but I don’t know what trucks have to do with the data centers unless it is to bring in the equipment. And for all this, we hear only maybe 100 people will be employed at each data center so it’s not like many people will find employment from them.
“…is all of this because of AI and is it happening here because we are in the middle of the country?”
I don’t think so. There are pitched, localized fights going on in various areas of Oregon because the small towns designated to have a data center are awake to what’s coming their way with data centers. They hate them. Fear them. Don’t want them. It’s not yet apparent whether what they want will matter…..and that’s in OREGON. (Note: Away from Eugene and Portland, most Oregon counties are red)
“There is conjecture that the new lanes are being added to Hwy. 70 because of the trucks and the data center but I don’t know what trucks have to do with the data centers unless it is to bring in the equipment. And for all this, we hear only maybe 100 people will be employed at each data center.”
These data centers are not being constructed to provide employment. That’s not their purpose at all.
I’ve read, and I don’t understand this how accurate this really is, that all these AI data centers will be obsolete fairly fast because they plan on moving them into space not that far down the road.
This seems shocking, to imagine those massive buildings mucking up our good land and then what? they sit there empty?
It’s easy to dismiss all this, but yet look at what they’ve already done..
When trying to make sense of this time period, I always go back to the Gilded Age:
Data/communications are oil, coal, iron and steel. Big Tech is the Railroads. Zuckerberg, Musk, Ellison, Cook, etc are Rockefeller, Carnagie, Gould, JP Morgan, etc.
Ultimately in both cases, incredible advances in technology led to unprecedented wealth and the ability to purchase political influence, which challenged social norms already disrupted by the rapid pace of technological change.
Our data centers were their “company towns”. There were and will be booms and busts. The “data center town” is something just coming into existence.
Yes, and they have not exactly explained how the energy requirements will be met by an aging electrical grid much too inefficient for the AI needs projected.
Many of the companies are building their own power plants – right next to their AI factories. This is part of PDJT’s vision with tariffs. Lee Zeldin is helping to remove the EPA restrictions that prevented this in the past. Our grid is stressed already and could not sustain these factories. I’m sure a lot of the energy they create will be released back to the ‘public grid’. That’s what happens when you put a solar roof on your home. What you don’t consume is claimed by the grid. The electrical feed must be connected back to the grid. I was told by a solar roof provider that is the law, at least in Wisconsin. You may get a few pennies for the power they take, but at least you’re creating your own energy, and not paying the utility company anymore.
I worked with chatgpt yesterday for several hours. it built me a spreadsheet; but when I checked the totals, they were wrong. I had to tell it they were wrong, give it the correct totals, then debug what was missing or double-counted in their totals (multiple times). And, it still didn’t get it right after at least 15 iterations. And the funny thing is, each time it responded with a fix, it was like “Oh, I see what happened, (general solution like ’rounding’ or ‘some lines were double-counted’)”. Here you go; the whole thing is fixed now. And then I’d find more problems that it just created. I do not see this taking over as many jobs as that radio person thinks. Customers and End-Users will recognize junk and take their business to other places that retain some human intelligence.
I was not surprised by this article or what was said.
In fact, as I am inclined to do, I started to look ahead and around corners, fearing this as the whole world piles into the hype of AI. So while everyone has been distracted by cute videos and clever AI productions and stories and “isn’t it all so marvelous!!”, I have been waiting for something like this for a long time.
The WEF and particularly the satanic Yuval Noah Harari have been quite open in saying that human beings will become redundant, of no use, for a long time….that technology will replace us.
And here we are today with this article and its terrible portents.
Whether it will happen is unknowable at the moment; but I am seeing daily announcements from various big names who are laying off their employees by the thousands, giving as the reason “productivity and profit”….through AI.
So, assuming that the timeline may be a bit off the mark but that it will happen as time goes on, look wider.
No white collar workers needed?
Then what happens, for example, to the thousands of colleges and universities which spit out untold numbers white collar workers every year? Layoffs there? Then closures? How can it not happen?
I’m sure you see where I am going with this. Carry on extrapolating…the future is simply a set of dominoes falling one by one.
It is for this as only one reason why I keep on saying that if AI, now really in its infancy, continues to grow, I consider that it will come to be seen as antichristic.
And with each passing day, with each new announcement of layoffs, with each story I come upon which speaks of where it is making terrible errors (last one which was concerned with surgeries which left patients with terrible life altering complications), that opinion which I hold only gets stronger.
“Progress” is how the cheerleaders of AI enthusiastically try to sell it…as if that is a universally good and beneficial thing.
I do not.
And my opinion remains unchanged.
Like the Climate Change hoax, only this will be 100x the failure
We are headed very, very quickly to a world where anyone who works in a job that requires cognitive skill and analysis is going to be rendered obsolete. This is not 5 or 10 years down the road. This is this year, or next year, or the year after, depending on the specific skill.
Unless limits and restrictions are placed on AI, unemployment will skyrocket to rates we have never seen before, and this will happen soon, during President Trump’s second term. This is not hysteria, this is a fact based on the incredibly rapid improvement in AI.
Most people don’t understand this, because they go to CHATGPT and ask it some basic questions, and it answers in a way that is not unlike a regular search engine. But the paid versions of the best AI applications are in another universe, and the day-to-day improvement is exponential. Even a week can show a major expansion in capability.
Unless this is restrained quickly, we are headed for chaos, as tens of millions of jobs are eradicated. This sounds alarmist and even insane, but this is what is happening, and this fact will become clear to everyone this year.
I think his estimates are a bit fast. We are in the stage where people are using AI to assist in their jobs regularly and across more than a niche population. I think in 18 months most will still be using the improved AI to assist. From there, some positions will be removed and their higher ups will use the AI to replace them. It will take some time for this to migrate through all companies and all professions. Also, in a lot of professions, the person will remain employed and use the AI extensively to eliminate the need for more people in their position. I think this will be most professions because to use AI effectively you have to ask the right questions.
The other thing is, with colleges graduating students who can’t do anything useful. And high school graduates who can’t even read. Those folks won’t be proficient at anything. We’ve heard the stories of them bringing their Mom to a job interview, no eye-contact, unable to communicate in-person because they do everything on their phone. Even a labor job would be dangerous if they can’t follow simple instructions. So, maybe robots are necessary to fill many ‘unskilled’ jobs.
I can’t believe blondie is still in her role. Talk about enemy inside the wire.
<I can’t believe blondie is still in her role.>
One way or the other 🙂
I’ve been angry with Trump lately but, I believe Bondi is out of his hands. Remember that Bondi wasn’t his first choice.
You are letting the Perfect be the enemy of the “Very Good.” I noticed nobody has mentioned that the EPA was just stripped of its power to regulate CO2 (and other “green house” gases). That is a huge win for the country, and concomitant loss for the commies.
In the war against the communists, we should enjoy every win, and not sulk that some of our soldiers are Custer and not Patton.
Does that mean that companies in the private sector can spray chemicals into the atmosphere till their hearts content?
and to all the Bondi haters out there, her comebacks and taking no prisoners attitude
at the hearing was the first time I actually appreciated her. Heck, she got two of the
slimy house members to storm out of the room. Now, that is quite an accomplishment.
So Performative Pam put on an emotionally satisfying performance with no real-life impact on policy, in which she said All the Right Things and upset All the Right People.
That would be fantastic if we were watching a play instead of people pretending to run a country.
the right has always been animated by political theater and staged events. That’s all the GOP has done in 14 months of Trump II. People on the right also love all these clickbait sites pushing these stupid narratives about this guy or gal “crushing” that democrat or that CNN person. It’s low-IQ buffoonery.
Never mind actually fixing anything (like our totally fraudulent election system). Just investigating seems good enough for many. Meanwhile the democrats continue marching down the field like they own the place. A person would think the GOP was the minority party.
Uh Felix, if anyone is into the animated political theater and staged events, it’s the left.
Do I have to remind you of the non-stop lunacy we were made to watch as they propped up that elderly man with dementia they installed into the White House?
How about that crazy Dark Biden speech with this hollowed out husk of a man with the scary red lighting behind him like we should be terrified of their stick man that literally can’t even talk- I mean gimme a break.
And how about all those nutjobs he appointed? Sam Brinton?
I could go on and on here.. Kamala Harris? every time she opens her mouth it’s a staged event.
She’s a wonderful actress, no one will dispute that. But where are the 6 am FBI raids and prosecutions of the communist scum that targeted Trump and MAGA between 2021-2024? Blondi (and Patel) are incompetent and useless.
CNN is reporting she was fired because CNN is trying to establish predicates for impeachment(s) once the Democrats retake Congress in the fall: “But Paramount CEO David Ellison returned to the White House last week to meet privately with Trump.”
Removing CNN’s narrative construction doesn’t negate any of the points raised.
Who is, “…she” was fired?
The subject of Sundance’s post…. Gail Slater.
“Asst Attorney General Gail Slater was the head of the Antitrust Division of the Dept of Justice.”
The very first line of Sundance’s article.
https://theconservativetreehouse.com/blog/2026/02/12/ellison-scalp-doj-antitrust-head-departs-possibly-fired/#more-280648
So, if Ellison was trying to stop the deal, what was Slater’s position?
Maybe I’m a dummy in it all, but I think I was reading that the deal was putting Netflix as taking over a major studio and more stuff go right to streaming instead of theaters.
Now theaters going the way of drive-ins/Blockbuster is a different discussion.
Do Ellison and his son already do the streaming and didn’t want competition?
I’m a little confused too. If Slater is a hawk, she’d be more likely to oppose the Netflix proposal, and Ellison would like for that to happen. Maybe she also would oppose the deal Ellison wants.
“The anti-trust division is expected to play a critical role in assessing Netflix’s Warner Brothers Discovery’s deal to sell the Warner Bros. studio and HBO to Netflix, which Paramount is trying to stop by appealing straight to shareholders with its own bid.”
Paramount wants to stop the WB/HBO sale to Netflix, in order to buy WB/HBO itself.
Slater would probably have prevented either scenario, so Paramount had to get rid of her.
Paramount has no interest in stopping the sale to Netflix because that would mean it could not go through with its own purchase.
Maybe with her experience she will join truth social and help Devin navigate their streaming platform legal concerns. Just a wild guess.
seems we’re losing the battle to big tech. Predicting our new president will be a robot.
Kind of like our last President.
Biden’s battery was certainly dead.
I’m not surprised, Susie and Blondi were bad choices, MAGA is being strangled. The Blondi hearing yesterday was a joke, Blondi didn’t give me me much confidence. I can say lots of Americans are not happy, I worry the midterms might be lost without some justice being served.
Bingo! Many Trump voters thought we were going to see war declared on corruption. So far we have zilch, zero, and nada. Trumps and Bondis reaction to Epstien files has been mind boggling to say the least. Throw in Minneapolis, very obvious and expensive fraud. Voters are going to be demoralized and won’t bother turning out come midterms.
It’s all one bird!
Re “Gail Slater came into the administration as a part of the JD Vance network (Peter Thiel, Palantir, etc.), and it looks like that same Vance network stood aside and watched Larry Ellison leverage his position to see her removed.”
With apologies to Jimmy Dean…
You don’t show your hand in the middle of a high stakes poker game…
You don’t lower your mask in the middle of robbing a bank…
And, you don’t mess around with Big Bad
JohnLarry Ellison…Great picture of the President and the AG!
I despise Ellison.
That is all.
He even looks slimy.
Why no mention or criticism of trump? Who does the buck stop with in this administrarion? How many times are you going to blame Blondi and Wiles?
Sounds to me like these outcomes are probable. IMHO.
meanwhile, the hundreds of co-conspirators that tried to put Trump and his associates in prison with piles of lies and felonious acts are cock-strutting around almost daring Blonde and Patel to do something. They won’t and never intended to in spite of what Trump said over and over on the campaign trail. They aren’t gonna do anything”big” on election integrity either or stop the domestic terrorist groups that continue to this day to torment Americans. Everyone is just cross days off of their Trump Countdown Calendars.
But getting rid of this lady they can do and do quickly. It’s all about protecting the system as it is today.
Wiles allegedly has a feud with Rick Grenell, that’s why he’s supposedly out of the loop.
I love that picture the host here posted a few weeks ago from AF1 where Trump was taking questions from the press and Wiles was lurking in the background looking like she just woke-up from a serious bender. That picture is worth reposting over and over. That broad is totally creepy. Trump’s people picking skills would improve if he moved to a dartboard.
Wow, this is very telling about what is really going on.. Rick Grenell is solidly on our team.
The nails in the coffin of not winning the Mid-Terms keep being hammered in.
If it weakens Netflix’s position I am all for it.
For those unaware Ellison’s group if preferred by Trump.
Unsure why the original post has such a biased slant against Ellison. Surely he is preferable to a woke netflix reworking our old films and propagandizing the world.
Hopefully the post is not against Ellison because of his religion and his desire to promote a more favorable view of Israel.
“Yes, Larry Ellison is a well-documented pro-Israel billionaire. He has made significant financial contributions to Israeli causes, including over $26 million to the Friends of the Israel Defense Forces (FIDF), and has a decades-long personal friendship with former Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, even hosting him at his private Hawaiian island. Ellison has publicly praised the IDF as “the bravest people in the world” and framed his support for Israel as a moral imperative. His influence extends into media and technology, where he has used his control over Oracle, CBS, Paramount, and TikTok’s U.S. operations to advance a pro-Israel agenda, including hiring pro-Israel figures like Bari Weiss as editor-in-chief of CBS News. “
Thank you, agreed. I see everyone slamming Paramount like Netflix is NOT some globalist POS company. Sorry I will choose Paramount for MY stocks.
I don’t like what appears to be the formation of massive monopolies owned by people that hate us all and intend to rule the planet.
Agreed. I wonder what people are smoking. Are we arguing over who would be the “best” monopolist, or whether any of these scumbags should have that power?
Never satisfied
Since the end of 2019, just before the pandemic, workers have basically just kept up. After inflation, average hourly wages are up 3%. For workers in aggregate, total compensation is up 8%. Meanwhile, profits have climbed 43%.
Last year was decent for wages, but even better for profits. Last week’s blowout earnings for big tech helped lift profit margins for the S&P 500 to their highest since at least 2009, according to FactSet. Multiply rising earnings by a higher ratio of share price to earnings, and you get a levitating stock market.

As Sundance stated on 12/25/2024:
“The surveillance state is an outcropping of the Fourth Branch of Government, which is, essentially, the unelected intelligence community in control of our government.”
Trump has caved, once again. “I’ve decided I shouldn’t be involved.” It’s his justice Department. It has no power but what he gives it (Article II, Section 1). This is HIS responsibility, and he has shirked that responsibility.
“Gail Slater came into the administration as a part of the JD Vance network (Peter Thiel, Palantir, etc.), and it looks like that same Vance network stood aside and watched Larry Ellison leverage his position to see her removed.”
I don’t get it. You were all over Thiel and Palantir having their tentacles of control over JD Vance, yet now you are lamenting that one of that networks’ picks has been fired. I should think you would be more consistent and applaud this move.
The implication is that Team Thiel stood down on Slater, because it made a deal with Team Ellison.
Regardless, while Slater may have been part of the “JD Vance network (Peter Thiel, Palantir, etc.)” that doesn’t mean she was not also a strong and reliable voice on certain issues. Thus her loss is significant, regardless of how she reached her position.
“Big Tech” is of the spices Vampyroteuthis Infernalis, lit. “Vampire Squid from Hell”, sending its tentacles out to any and everything that looks or sounds like any kind of pro competition antitrust force and strangling it to death.
I will wait to see how it plays out. I have some stock in Warner/Discovery and I hate Netflix more than Paramount. Just sayin.
Fascism should more properly be called corporatism because it is the merger of state and corporate power.
– Benito Mussolini (the world’s greatest expert on fascism – until he died)
War of words, bullying, and insults, both sides. Be aware that civility, politeness, backing down, and appeasement are signals (to Democrats and Muslims) of weakness. Democrats have much practice at hiring activists and anarchists in this country against Americans. And they make moves of their actions to use as propaganda. One must stand up to bullies. It is getting much more dangerous, both in tone and in physical reality.
Glad she’s gone! We have seen DOJ and FTC under Jonathan Kanter filing ridiculous antitrust lawsuits against Apple Computer, Amazon and Alphabet Google for the most insane reasons…
A: Apple IPhones are a monopoly. With 20% of the market and Samsung Galaxy with a much larger share! You can buy Samsung phones all day long!
B: Google Search is a monopoly when you can change it out in 30 seconds for free!
C: Amazon tricks it’s customers to sign-up for Prime. Are Amazon customers really that retarded?
Kanter was Microsoft’s chief lawyer until Biden appointed him to head DOJ Antitrust so he could take out Microsoft’s competition! Slater was continuing the Infitada. 🫡
The demokRATS are collecting scalps –
Habba
Halligan
Slater
Kinsella
Martin
NOT good, and NOT winning.
It sounds like Rick Grenell is on this list too.
Maybe it’s good that Gail Slater resigned. From Brietbart today: “Slater approved multiple mergers for Woke Disney while also holding up American companies taking on China’s Huawei.”
Read all about it. https://www.breitbart.com/tech/2026/02/12/doj-antitrust-head-gail-slater-resigns-after-tenure-featuring-googles-infamous-slap-on-the-wrist-verdict/
Breitbart (aka the Mercer Family) might have an interest in removing someone standing in the way of Big Tech mergers.
The only way Blondi recovers is to light a fire in her britches and stop moving at glacial speed!
KAF is exceptional. Up there with Sundance.
Agree, been listening to her for years.
She knows what’s going on- that’s why they tried to kill her.
I want movies that are worthy of “block buster”
is that asking too much ?
Ellison are you listening?
we just want good and great entertainment that is pleasing and speaks to the beating heart.
no more dystopian woke broke wandering annihilism.
tell me about minnesota…the land of a thousand lakes of ancient splendor. Tell me about eh screaming eagles of Louisianian.
wampus cats, women who did not lie, men who went against the idiotic grain of the usual and common.
tell me about the mother who would take her Children to the bayou to fish to learn how to live and eat .

God Bless America
Wonderful, more Jewish monopoly

The cover-over of Bondi’s performance as AG is a dangerous fiction powerful people are continuing to ignore. Raskin’s questions were not inaccurate. Her response was equal to a middle-school meangirl and did not reflect well on Trump, MAGA, or the need for transparency.
No, there is not a plan. No, the hammer isn’t going to fall at just the right moment. No, there is no trap being sprung. And the next one that declares some heavenly guidance that will be revealed at the right moment needs their medication adjusted.
Whomever has Trump’s ear is missing the message we are hearing in the normal America. Does that person whisper in Trump’s ear “The mid-terms are riiiiight over there…”?
people on the right were constantly saying during Trump I that he’s playing 10D chess, “it’s coming” or “he’s waiting for the right time”, or “they have ’em now” or some other nonsense. There is no hammer coming, no accountability coming, no “something big on election fraud” coming, nothing. Look at the people leading this and tell me how that happens? There is a small, but vocal hopium crowd on the right that is eternally optimistic about everything, even in the face of pretty obvious stuff. No one is changing their minds. Forget about it.
God did his part by keeping Trump alive in 2024, but he ain’t doing any more in my view. He expects people to get involved. Republican voters won’t even bother to vote unless Trump is on the ballot and he’s never gonna be on another ballot. The people that have Trump’s ear are feeding him nothing but glorious reports on everything. What folks don’t get is that almost everything Trump has done will be un-done with one single stroke of the auto-pen Jan 2029. If it’s not legislation, it can be dumped faster than Trump made it happen. That’s what the GOP is counting on.
The media is so polarized we either get 24×7 anti-Trump or 24×7 bootlicking. No media can just cover stuff with pragmatic facts and tough questions. That’s not allowed. You either smear him with lies or worship him like a god. The primaries have already started, the midterms are 9 months away, and Trump won’t be on the ballot. Susie is telling him they have this solid for Nov…….
Hey Lee!
Please address the fluoride in the water supply….it is damaging our children! 😡
Sad.
“Slater was a solid MAGA voice in a critical Antitrust position against the interests of Big Tech and Big Corp. However, I said on Christmas Day 2024 – we were likely to be very disappointed by the influence of Big Tech/Big Corp in the White House”
If the boss (PDJT) really wanted to her to stay, she would have remained.
When I worked for the NYS Dept. of Environmental Conservation (1986-1996), there was a very vocal and committed environmentalist (Marilyn DuBois) that was Bureau Chief of Pesticides. To say she was contrary to the interests of big AG chemical companies is an understatement.
The NYSDEC is run by engineers. During her tenure, there was a concerted effort to have her removed and replaced by someone more congenial to the view of pesticide manufacturers. However, all the industry pressure on the NYS Assembly and Senate was for naught.
It was only when Gov. Mario Cuomo was replaced by Gov. George Patecki that industry got it’s way. It turned out that Marilyn was close friends with Matilda Cuomo, the Governor’s wife.
The most transparently corrupt administration in history. It really is disgusting. The purpose of antitrust law enforcement is to trillions being lost to Monopolies, yeah, you’re concerned about the trillions being lost to bureaucrats and Wall Street schemers. But the others are important too.
Bye bye, Constitutional Republic.
Hello, Corptocracy.
Fascism is the rule by Monopoly Capitalism. IG Farben’s operation was next door to Auschwitz. Our bombers didn’t get it as a target.

Update from a source:
Robert Barnes was listed in the DOJ security log as a visitor to Gail Slater.
She said she canceled that meeting, when confronted by supervisors after Barnes received illegal leaks of sensitive DOJ information.
But Gail admitted to sharing case information with Barnes.
Read thread….
https://threadreaderapp.com/thread/2022043589321404706.html
There have been no antitrust laws enforced for decades. Everything has gotten “too big to fail “. Companies have gotten so large they can and have bought the federal government.
