In fact, under various voter ID laws, states can create systems to address issues such as different maiden names or name changes following a divorce, including requiring a standard attestation provided by the state. Nothing in the SAVE Act requires birth certificates be brought to polling places. It allows for the use of a signed attestation supplied by the state.
Now, on the 19th Amendment, Raskin’s argument is simply ridiculous. Indeed, if this were credible, why has it not been used successfully against prior state voting ID laws? Rather than making this claim on CNN, it would be interesting for Raskin to try it in court once the SAVE Act passes.
It is unlikely to succeed because the 19th Amendment guarantees the right to vote, but, like all citizens, women can be asked to prove their eligibility to vote. The suggestion that requiring a signature on an attestation form is a barrier to voting is simply incredible.
Requiring proof of your identity neither denies nor abridges the right to vote. Indeed, for supporters of voter ID laws, it protects the right to vote by ensuring that only eligible voters are counted in elections.
Would requiring the REAL ID also violate constitutional rights like the right to travel or association for those with name changes? Of course not. The government may require basic identification for such transactions while creating reasonable methods of addressing name or address changes.
It is simply laughable to think that “requiring ID” would “deny the vote to women.” Lo and behold, women around the world get married (and divorced), and thereby experience last-name changes. And, lo and behold, it works. They can still buy beer at the grocery store, and, they can still vote.
We all know that there is only one reason why someone would want to allow someone to “vote” without identification. These are the people who “manufacture” more votes in a single precinct than there are people who live there. And are then upset that you noticed. 🤡
Another comment: I think that “Real ID” was a tremendous improvement. I remember when bartenders had thick books which showed what various states’ driver’s licenses were supposed to look like. There was no consistency, basically no security, and no way to readily determine authenticity. You could fake a driver’s license with a camera and a laminating tool, and plenty of underage kids did.
(Tennessee once produced a driver’s license that consisted of a photograph slipped into a plastic envelope. They didn’t even seal it. I got one, and had to use a piece of Scotch tape. The envelope quickly tore, and I wound up wrapping it entirely in tape.)
“Real ID” looked at the security question carefully, and designed pragmatic standards and guidelines. (Including the “Star.”) The result is actually a significantly more-secure document, that is also now recognizably consistent. The same ideas have also been applied to passport books and cards, and visas and work permits.
These documents are extremely important in all aspects of daily life, and I think that “Real ID” was a very successful and well-thought-out project, to provide consistency and practical security that was badly needed (and sorely lacking).
Unfortunately, they are issued to non-citizens with no markings on them to reflect that fact.
I remember when Wisconsin’s were ink on paper. Orange probationary for the first two year, blue regular after that. The number always contained your birth date in middle (still does).
If you were born in 57 with a steady hard, small eraser and the right color ink pen you could easily change that 7 to a 5 and start drinking a little early. Wisconsin age of alcohol consumption was 18 at the time. Many of us did, the bartenders never looked to close.

As for the name changes or divorces for woman in my state, (I was a polling place manger for many many years), if your Drivers license does not have your current name ,you need a letter with your old name and new name certificated as of today without the Save Act ….regardless if you don’t have that when you come to vote… you vote, but provisional , the day of the election. You have abt 7 days after the election to provide the Board of Elections needed documents. Lots more interesting stuff , but everyone VOTES, but you vote where you live, the law.

Thank you for sharing your concerns about our Republic. At 81 y/o I am also having serious physical reactions to the anger and stress! I have had to step back as well. But one thing is for sure—I pray more earnestly for God’s Mercy on those who love America and what she stands for. I include those who are our leaders to have His Wisdom in making daily decisions for the good of us all. If Jesus Christ was not the Lord of my life I would be dead from the stress and the sorrow. Thankfully I can praise Him in the good times and the bad for the Lord God is in control of it all, and He is Lord of my life! I may not be valued for much but God hears my prayers, desires my prayers, answers my prayers and covets my prayers as He does for all who seek Him.

Watched the video and one other thing stood out about bam bam.
Most of us here most likely had a checking account at a bank back when we first headed out on our own, and we would regularly write and sign those checks. To ensure no one else was signing our checks, the bank would keep our signatures on a sheet of paper in our records.
Do you remember how your signature looked when you first headed out into the big world as an adult of 17, 18, 19? I was just looking at old paperword a few days ago and couldn’t believe how much my signature changed from my 18th to my 28th birthdays.
I bring all that up because at around the 7 minute mark in the video you can see bam bam’s Selective Service registration form — one that Zach believes is fake and tells us why it is fake. On that form is what is supposedly bam bam’s signature from 1980, when he was 19 years old.
Don’t believe that is bam bam’s signature from the time he was 19, or that the printing on that form was his as an 19 year old, either.
The printing is very sophisticated for a 19 year old (check out your 19 year old’s printing and you’ll see what I mean), and the signature is far too similar to his current signature to believe. It is different for sure, but nothing like it should be for the jump from a 19 year old signing up for possible military service and a 48 year old newly elected President.
I believe the signature was fake, too.

Jesse Van Rootselaar, 18, ID’d as transgender ex-student behind Tumbler Ridge mass shooting
The deranged high school dropout who murdered his mother and stepbrother before killing six people at a British Columbia high school has been identified as 18-year-old transgender ex-student Jesse Van Rootselaar.
The horrifying attack, one of the deadliest shootings in Canada’s history, began Tuesday at a residence in the sleepy rural community of Tumbler Ridge, in the western province, and concluded at Tumbler Ridge Secondary School — where authorities say Van Rootselaar died of a self-inflicted gunshot wound.
Van Rootselaar was identified Wednesday as the shooter by Royal Canadian Mounted Police Deputy Commissioner Dwayne McDonald, who said he was “born a biological male … who approximately six years ago began to transition to female, and identified as female.”
Asked by a reporter whether he believes there was any correlation between Van Rootselaar identifying as transgender and the shooting, McDonald said it’s “too early to say.”
McDonald said police had visited the family home on multiple occasions over the last several years due to concerns over Van Rootselaar’s mental health.
An initial alert issued about an active shooter at the school Tuesday afternoon described the shooter as a “female in a dress.”
Van Rootselaar was a former student who dropped out approximately four years ago, according to McDonald. How he gained access to the building during school hours was not immediately known.
