Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt provides brief comments on current political events to the assembled press pool on February 3rd. Mrs. Leavitt outlined President Trump’s support for the SAVE Act, federal legislation to require voter ID.
On the economic front the U.S. has finalized the outlines of the U.S-India free trade agreement, and the latest manufacturing index shows significant gains in production and productivity; all positive indicators. Mrs Leavitt also faced questions about DNI Tulsi Gabbard attending the search warrant execution in Fulton County, Georgia, as the administration continues to review the potential for foreign interference in U.S. elections.
.

I read they removed the SAVE Act. So at this point, it’s speculation.
Sounds like Thune is pulling a Wimpy – “I will gladly suspend the silent filibuster NEXT time in exchange for a vote on this budget today” and the House Republicans are, yet again, caving in, and going along…
Sigh – second verse, same as the first. A little bit louder and a little bit worse!
INFURIATING: Leader John Thune is already BACKING DOWN on the SAVE Act, saying there are “implications” to triggering a “talking filibuster”
IF YOU CAN’T EVEN PASS A BILL THAT 80% OF AMERICANS SUPPORT, YOU NEED TO RESIGN, @LeaderJohnThune
The implications of FRAUDULENT ELECTIONS are MUCH greater than forcing the Democrats to actually TALK during their filibuster.
PUT THEM ON DEFENSE!

Asked @LeaderJohnThune about the SAVE Act and prospects of passing it via a talking filibuster under current Senate rules.
His full and detailed response:
“I would just remind people that the coin of the realm in the Senate is floor time. There’s a finite amount of it, and we have a lot of things we have to do.
There’s a housing bill that’s awaiting action.
A market structure bill.
Possibly permitting reform.
Farm Bill.
Highway bill.
You can go right down the list.
Russia sanctions.
And a whole bunch of things that could be teed up for action on the floor of the Senate. And so you have to make some judgments. The conference will have a conversation about that. I’m committed to that.
We will talk about that idea and determine whether or not they’re what the conference’s views are about it, and whether or how they want to proceed. As I said, we will vote on the SAVE Act. But exercising or triggering a talking filibuster has ramifications, implications that I think everybody needs to be aware of. So we will have those discussions. But that obviously ties the floor up for an indefinite amount of time, with not only unlimited debate, but also unlimited amendments, all of which can reset the clock.
So it’s going to take something that can entail a tremendous amount of effort, work and cooperation, and at the expense of the other things we might be doing in the Senate.
We’re gonna have a discussion about it and see where our conference is.”
John Thune pretends the Senate just doesn’t have time to secure elections, which is a laughable lie.
Just to show you how SUPER BUSY the Senate has been this year: it is February and they’ve passed a whopping two bills and voted 24 times.
But yeah, the body that rarely works Fridays and holds an average of one vote per day is just too busy you guys.
The mechanics of Congress are purposefully complicated and opaque with all of the parliamentary BS.
That said, I do not understand the strategy to open the Gov’t back-up without attaching the Save Act to the bill. Seems like the correct leverage. Yet, we have the Trump Administration working with Dem Senators and forcing the House leadership to do so. I trust President Trump but truly cannot figure out the end game to get the Save Act passed.
Best Press Secretary ever.
Oh yeah, Agree 100%. Oh, but Jean Peirre…whatever was the first incompetent lesbian
80%+ of Americans support the SAVE act yet for some reason President Trump wanted the government opened so badly he caved on including it in the budget bill even after winning the last shutdown decisively. Now it will never get passed and our elections will continue to be subverted by illegals voting. Republicans deserve to get destroyed in November and they likely will.
The Amendment was blocked H.R. 22 Which is the SAVE Act. Everyone’s hated congressman, who happens to expose all the corruption, introduced this amendment but your favorite people blocked it.
Sometimes I wonder if we’re hating the wrong people. Obladi Oblada.
Just watched the President speak on Newsmax at the bill signing in the oval office.
Press asked if he intended to nationalize elections. He said we should as there are 18 states that can’t seem to run a fair election. He said it may be appropriate.
Seems to me, this is not off of the table.
Nationalizing elections, that’s in the same stratosphere as invoking the Insurrection Act – how’s that going … This seemed like the perfect opportunity to get the Save Act passed. What’s next backdoor amnesty?
I’m not advocating it.
I shudder to think what would happen if democrats were in charge.
All I’m saying is he was asked and didn’t dismiss the idea.
Sorry, did not mean to insinuate you did, just seems like pie in the sky nonsense to think he’s going to nationalize elections
No worries. I’m just happy the President sees the issue. He knows if he loses the midterms, more lawsuits, more impeachment. He is motivated. Change is coming.
Trump’s call to ‘nationalize’ elections draws furious pushback from Democrats
Unfortunately it’s our system of government. We are supposed to have a Representative Republic, but today’s Congress should pass legislation that that their voters want. I can see not passing bad legislation, but not passing legislation that 80% of the country wants because of made up procedures is criminal IMO.
It’s all about the Benjamins, baby.
Crazy isn’t it. Who would even thing we would need a bill to keep non citizens from voting. Go down to Mexico and get involved in Mexico’s elections in any way (just carry a political sign) and they toss you in jail.
100%. There is no issue more important to the life of our country than secure elections. Period! Full stop!!
Of course, she faced questions about Tulsi Gabbard… the full ourt press is on from the intelligence community, and Mark Warner is backed into a corner and they all back him.
I’m so sick of this crap the double standards are so obvious yet we still have a good 25% of this country who can’t see it; I’m not referring to those people who are on the 10 to 15% of the leftist radical side, I’m talking about the idiots who can’t see what’s right in front of their face because it’s Donald Trump. These people would cut off their own nose to spite their own face because they’re idiots.
I wish she would should’ve said shut the f-up, but I digress she can’t do that.
Only U.S. citizens should be voting, only with paper ballots that are as secure as our currency, in person with some exception, and voter ID should be required.
just read on another site that pdjt has appointed tulsi to oversee election security and voter fraud.this is really gonna piss em off.
May it be so!
{ DHS deploys body cameras in Minneapolis: Federal agents will record all interventions starting today, by order of Kristi Noem }
Surprised to hear that wasn’t already the case. Just about every state and local police department and sheriff’s office have been using body cams across the board for some time now. But then again, the FBI still isn’t using any kind of A/V to record suspect interviews and instead relies on those paper 702 forms, and as we know from Gen Flynn’s experience what is written on those forms may or may not be accurate to any degree.

Caught On Hidden Camera: FBI Official Admits Minnesota Fraud Investigations Will Result In Zero Arrests
“I don’t think anybody [Daycare Fraud Criminals] would ever go to prison.”
“We’re [DOJ/FBI] just going to point somebody.”
“By the time that case is done even being looked at, and ready to go to court, Trump won’t even be in office anymore.”
“He’s [Kash Patel] not good at his job..he [Patel] just wasn’t ready.”
Captured on hidden-camera a current FBI Security Specialist revealing how the FBI actually operates, admitting the Bureau will walk out major fraud and corruption cases.
According to this FBI official, financial crimes “can take literally years”. So by the time investigations are ready, President Trump will be out of office, judges will throw cases out, and accountability will be dead.
This is now the 7th FBI / DOJ official O’Keefe Media has caught on hidden camera in the past year admitting the same reality:
– No Arrests
– No Urgency
– No Accountability
Why does it take a hidden camera and a night out with a complete stranger to get the truth?
Our system is broken. The American people deserve better.

This guy was just fired.
Government employees should be wise enough not to speak to to reporters or strangers.
But was he fired for saying the truth?
But God.
Disappointed in reply about Tulsi. No reinforcement of Tulsi’s mandate Re elections, critical infrastructure. Missed opportunity.
Maj of Congress hates maga, Trump and us….this makes it very difficult to get ppl motivated to vote in sp elections and midterms.
Potus Trump tries so hard, works 24/7 and does ALL the heavy ( 99%) lifting. They lie to his face and us.
Makes it hard to care about elections
Who’ll replace Leavitt when she’s away having her baby?
Liz Harrington?
