Most regulations come from the state. A new home in NY has to have all electricity and it costs a mint to put the proper electrical components in. Nothing Trump can do about ridiculous state requirements that drive the cost of new homes to unaffordable for an average working family.

Listening to Meet the Depressed and other talking Heads, the two areas they want to go after Trump and Republicans is Affordability and Immigration. They are complaining about the high cost of energy (electricity). Like Trump really could do something about the democrat problem they created.
I think they are going to loose on this and men in women sports and what is a women. VA is an example of how quickly they will stab you in your back.
There’ve been some positive developments in the housing market lately. Rent in high-cost markets, like L.A., have been declining, and home prices are flat to slightly declining in some areas too. I don’t think people (outside of this site, of course) realize how much an impact millions of illegals have on the housing market. There’ve also been some positive news on real wages recently, again likely due to this country finally having a border.
Considering the following as a letter to the editor for our local newspaper.
New Mexico Attorney General Raúl Torrez is currently in a Santa Fe courtroom arguing that Meta (Facebook and Instagram) has created a digital breeding ground for child exploitation. He alleges that Meta’s design choices enable grooming, human trafficking, and the distribution of illicit content by prioritizing profit and engagement over the safety of minors.
I say good on him. No corporation should be allowed to facilitate the destruction of childhood .
However, as I look at t the AG’s case, the irony is thick enough to cut with a knife. The very same legal arguments Torrez is using to sue Big Tech are a perfect, reflection of the Biden era policies that governed our southern border for four years.
Consider the parallels between the AG’s allegations and federal border policy during the Biden years:
Enabling Grooming and Trafficking: Torrez sues Meta for allowing predators unfettered access to minors. Yet, under the Biden-Harris administration, over 460,000 unaccompanied children were processed through a system that whistleblowers call a delivery service for traffickers, often releasing kids to unvetted ‘sponsors.’
Prioritizing Metrics over Safety: Torrez claims Meta chose engagement over protection. Similarly, federal whistleblowers testified that HHS prioritized speed of release to avoid bad press about facility overcrowding, skipping FBI fingerprint checks for thousands of sponsors in the process.
Failing to Respond to Reports: The AG rightfully slams Meta for ignoring reports of harm. Meanwhile, Department of Health and Human Services records show the federal government ignored over 65,000 tips of potential trafficking and lost track of tens of thousands of children after their release.
Misleading the Public: The suit claims Meta misled parents about safety. For years, the federal government insisted the border was closed and secure while record numbers of children were being funneled into labor exploitation and abuse networks across the country.
The AG is correct, facilitating a marketplace for exploitation is a travesty and a moral rot. But if it is a crime for a tech CEO to design a platform that connects predators with victims, why was it acceptable for democrat federal policy to do the exact same thing in the physical world?
State AGs see Apple, Amazon, Google and Meta as deep pockets to sue and give the money to the gimmedats!

In 2016, Anthony Weiner was charged with transferring obscene material to a minor. His laptop was seized in the investigation. He was convicted and sent to jail. He served his term and therefore the charges would have been dismissed, because he was released. So, six months after the charges were dismissed, the laptop would have been returned to Weiner, because it was his property and no longer evidence in an open case. That’s what I have always assumed, that when he got it back it disappeared forever, possibly in exchange for his safety, because he is still alive.
What you say may very well be true, I have no idea. But, I would think the investigators would have found other stuff on the laptop in case there was anything of importance.
I remember hearing that there was all kinds of bad stuff on his laptop, but then it went pretty quiet. Maybe that was just rumors and speculation of other bad stuff. Who knows.

It had to do with how Apple backs up data to all the devices in a family, so Anthony’s laptop had copies of all of Huma Abedin’s private data, emails and so forth, and Huma’s laptop had copies of correspondence with Hillary Clinton, which then ended up backed up on Anthony’s laptop.
I’m not sure about New York rules of evidence, but everything in the laptop which was not evidence used to convict Anthony Weiner could have been considered out of bounds for any other investigation, according to how the evidence was found. You can’t just hand evidence to a cop: it has to be discovered by the cop, while the cop is searching with a proper warrant for it, otherwise a court will throw it out. Inadmissible evidence that is radioactive might not leave much of a paper trail on its way to disappearing.

There are 3 that appear to be out in the wild pointing at streets. One is definitely pointing at a street where the only thing of interest is an apartment complex pretty widely known as drug trafficking central. One appears to be on the highway as someone is leaving town, but the rest of the streets out of town are not covered. And one appears to be pointing at an overpass and I have no idea why that specific one is of interest.
I think slingshots might be the way to address these without endangering anyone or drawing undue attention to oneself.

I did not focus on the Masonic antagonist in this cartoon (though I found it very interesting) but looked more broadly.

Try to find the common humanity between the participants in that war.
Try to imagine the two sides ever kicking a ball around, swapping songs.
The only place in the modern Middle East where Arabs and Jews coexist is in Israel, especially in Haifa.
The restaurant young Hanadi Jaradat blew apart had been jointly owned
by an Arab family and a Jewish family for 40 years.
It would be interesting to know whether it was targeted for that very reason,
in the same way that, in Northern Ireland,
the IRA took to killing the Catholic caterers and cleaners who worked at army bases.
But the intifada is too primal for anything that thought out.
It’s more likely that once Miss Jaradat had slipped into Israel proper,
through a gap in the unfinished security fence that the European Union and the State Department so deplore,
that any target would do.
She was busting to blow.
The Palestinian death cult negates all the assumptions of western sentimental pacifism:
