Have you ever worked in criminal prosecution? DA? US Attorney? Police? FBI? I have. I clerked at the DOJ. There is no set time for finishing an investigation except the statute of limitations.
When the evidence is there for an indictment, and for a conviction beyond a reasonable doubt, then it’s made known. Until then, giving hints as to where the investigation is going only gives the future defendants notice to start shredding documents, destroying evidence, and leaning on witnesses (or worse).
These are valid points. And so perhaps Patel should just stop with the interviews because the latter borders on “giving notice.”

However my fear and I think the fear expressed above is that they’re not really trying. From the outside, what is the difference between working diligently on a complicated case and just phoning it in waiting on that statute of limitations.

I just don’t see Democrats ever stopping in their quest to put Trump and all his officeholders in jail.
At some point, the United States must grant blanket immunity for appointed office holders for good faith governance.
So, Minority Leader Jeffries announces that Democrats will impeach and removal Trump’s appointees. Apparently, disagreeing in politics is a High Crime,or Misdemeanor!
