Delaware Senator Chris Coons questioned Secretary of State Marco Rubio about the Trump administration’s refusal to consult the Senate in advance about national security operations using the U.S. military. Specifically, Senator Coons expressed his anger about not being informed in advance of the operation to capture Nicholas Maduro.
Secretary of State Rubio reminded Senator Coons that operational security, and the desire to protect U.S. military servicemen, precluded the administration from permitting the Senate to warn Maduro of the pending operation. Senator Chris Coons then counters by saying, “The Gang of Eight has never leaked, it is critical you consult with Congress.” This is a false statement by Chris Coons, who has never been a ‘Gang of Eight’ member.
Virginia Senator Mark Warner was Vice-Chair of the Senate Select Committee on Intelligence (SSCI) and a Gang of Eight member, when he directed SSCI Security Director James Wolfe to leak a top-secret classified document (Title-1 warrant) to the media on March 17, 2017. The Gang of Eight does leak to the media, and Secretary Rubio should know. Secretary Rubio was also a member of the Gang of Eight as SSCI Vice-Chair.
The entire testimony by Secretary Marco Rubio is exceptional. You can even tell from the moderate responses from Democrats on the Senate Foreign Relations Committee that they were/are completely outmatched by Rubio.
Despite the background of Rubio, working against many of MAGA’s interests (2010 – 2024), I have never seen a more articulate Secretary of State with complete command of every granular aspect to U.S. foreign operations. The MAGA-Rubio is perhaps the most skilled and articulate voice we have ever seen on our side.
This is the same Marco Rubio who came out of the Florida Senate, supported Jeb Bush, worked for immigration amnesty, supported TPP, supported fast track TPA, supported TTIP, supported the Libya intervention model, worked against tariffs and traveled the world with Senator John McCain. In full honest review, Marco Rubio was to John McCain what John Thune was to Mitch McConnell.
I really hope someone can eventually ask Rubio what happened during his ‘¹road to Damascus’ moment? What, specifically, is behind this transformation? Someone needs to ask.

This particular awakening is more recent than his consistent religious convictions, I believe … he’s been a consciously steadfast Catholic since at least 2004.
My husband and I heard him speak at an event in 2022 which included DeSantis, and we were completely taken aback by his fervor and authenticity. Especially compared to DeSantis: we expected to like him but he came across as false and self-important. It was apples and oranges!
After his failed attempt to secure the nomination for president, he declared he would not run again for the Senate seat he held. The ridicule over his short height was merciless, and that ill fated sip of water during his Republican rebuttal to the State of the Union I’m sure was a personal humiliation for him.
He must have reached a tremendous low.
But something or Someone caused him to change his mind. I remember this so well, because he reentered the race… and the rest is history.
This Rubio is not the same man who no doubt thought his career was finished.
I see a man now at peace with himself, unruffled and in command of his brief. That sort of peace comes from only one Source. And it absolutely radiates from him

Marco mentioned in his opening remarks that we, the USA, are providing diluent to cut the heavy oil to make it flow. If that’s the case, Venezuela is in pretty bad shape. One of my projects in Venezuela 30 years ago involved coupling two refineries that basically processed close to 900,000 barrels per day of crude oil. Much of that production would be in gasoline and diesel. Diluent for the extra heavy oil is naphtha aka gasoline. Venezuelans cannot afford to buy gasoline at international market rates as they have been forced to do. When I lived there it was about 5 cents per gallon. Transportation is through trucking and cars. There’s no rail system to move goods, especially in the interior. The refineries need to be fixed to make cheap fuel available as the catalyst for the local economy.
I used to work with #6 oil where it had to be heated so it could flow. Is that the heavy oil they are talking about?

My general opinion of Rubio is he is an EXCELLENT General. Give him a mission and he accomplishes it in spades. He did that as SSCI Vice-Chair. Now, that doesn’t necessarily mean he would be good at conceptualizing what missions need to be done. He’s perfect Sec. of State or Vice President material.

I met Chris Coons when he was the President of New Castle County Council in Delaware, during a business discussion of pie-in-the-sky future use of an industrial parcel. I’ll just say that it doesn’t take much to intellectually over-match Mr. Coons, it is a low bar. Delaware is a very small state, with a limited talent pool. Most of the local and state level politicians are totally unimpressive. The same state that elected Biden to the Senate repeatedly for decades. Also the same state that elected the cross dresser “Sarah” McBride to the House of Reps. Clown show.

He is, at best, an Anchor Baby. Cruz isn’t either, nor are Haley or Kamala.
Do you not know that the CCP is sending very pregnant girls here for school, etc, ,to have anchor babies to then bring back to China, to be raised as manchurian candidates for our Presidency? Did you not learn the lesson with Barak & Kamala ?

I really believe, as believers do, that Trump surviving two attempts on his life – one merely half an inch away, made many a believer and that is very likely how Marco sees a divine purpose behind Trump. I really believe that.
