Israel Update
~Today is a very special day in Israeli history. It may be hard to grasp if you’re not Israeli, but I will try to explain. I am dedicating this update for the historic day. It’s a day of immense relief in Israel across the board. Our last hostage is beck in Israel, not alive but back.
Each nation and military has its own set of values. In the IDF there is a core value often expressed as: “No one gets left behind.” Soldiers know it going into battle. Every person counts — even after death.
Religiously, a proper burial is essential. And closure for the family is essential.
Ran (Rani) Gvili — the last hostage to be returned from Gaza. Not alive.
On 10/7, Ran Gvili, a Police counter-terror unit officer, was on medical leave and awaiting surgery for a broken shoulder after a motorcycle accident. When he heard about the attack in the south, he went to fight on his own initiative. He helped rescue people fleeing the Nova festival area and fought in the Kibbutz Alumim area. Israel later determined he was killed on October 7 and that his body was taken into Gaza.
Ran is often described as “the first in and the last out” — meaning he was among the first to rush in to fight (despite not being called up) and, tragically, the last hostage’s remains to be returned.
Israel conducted a Special Operation in Gaza to get Intel about his whereabouts. Following, hundreds of soldiers took part in a focused operation which included digging out bodies from a large cemetery and dentists who tried to identify the right body. After a couple of hundreds his body was located complete with his uniform on.
There are videos of soldiers bursting in tears. It was an emotional occasion. The whole nation had a huge sigh of relief. I will add some videos to give you a better feeling of how it was.
He was the last of the October 7 hostages still held in Gaza to be returned, signaling the end of a long nightmare Israel has lived through since the abductions. (A total of 255 people were taken hostage when including those abducted before 10/7 as well.)
I’ll also mention: among the overall hostage count were two bodies of IDF’s abductees from 2014.
May his soul have peace, and may his family and friends find healing.

Musicians are artists and are fulfilled by creating music in some form. Our society says “get rich, be a millionaire and your life will be grand.” They get used and realize the business is a racket.
I see many big names just play music because it’s fulfilling for them and the listener, no pressure just meditation in music.
Ive seen a future, maybe impossible in my life but a grand future where fulfillment comes from doing what we were meant to do or gifted for not money. I grew up poor and we had God and that’s about it. Never went hungry or didn’t have clothes and a nice place to lay my head. It’s all his anyway.

COMMENTARY FOR PSALMS 56
David seeks mercy from God, amidst the malice of his enemies. (1-7) He rests his faith on God’s promises, and declares his obligation to praise him for mercies. (8-13)
1-7 Be merciful unto me, O God. This petition includes all the good for which we come to throne of grace. If we obtain mercy there, we need no more to make us happy. It implies likewise our best plea, not our merit, but God’s mercy, his free, rich mercy. We may flee to, and trust the mercy of God, when surrounded on all sides by difficulties and dangers. His enemies were too hard for him, if God did not help him. He resolves to make God’s promises the matter of his praises, and so we have reason to make them. As we must not trust an arm of flesh when engaged for us, so we must not be afraid of an arm of flesh when stretched out against us. The sin of sinners will never be their security. Who knows the power of God’s anger; how high it can reach, how forcibly it can strike?
8-13 The heavy and continued trials through which many of the Lord’s people have passed, should teach us to be silent and patient under lighter crosses. Yet we are often tempted to repine and despond under small sorrows. For this we should check ourselves. David comforts himself, in his distress and fear, that God noticed all his grievances and all his griefs. God has a bottle and a book for his people’s tears, both the tears for their sins, and those for their afflictions. He observes them with tender concern. Every true believer may boldly say, The Lord is my helper, and then I will not fear what man shall do unto me; for man has no power but what is given him from above. Father God, I now follow your command to put on the full armor of God, because my battle is not against flesh and blood but against rulers, authorities, the powers of this dark world and against spiritual forces of evil in the unseen world.
I first pray on the Belt of Truth that it may be buckled around my waist, may I be centered and encircled by your truth dear Lord. Hem me inside all that is true and right, and may I be protected and held up by the truth of your living word, in my Lord Jesus name.

May the enemy and his team flee from me, upon hearing the word of God spoken by the power and direction of the Holy Spirit. Give me the sword of the spirit to cut through the wiles of the devil, so that I may discern the schemes of the enemy when he is near.
With all kinds of prayers, supplication, and intercession I pray to you my Lord God as the one who fights my battles. Now that I’m in your holy powerful armor, I walk away covered and ready to face my day as you go before me, and please protect me in the midst of the spiritual warfare in this unseen world, in my Lord Jesus name.

Prayer Of Thanksgiving In The Evening
Praise Your holy name Heavenly Father, for granting yet another day in my life and for being with me every step of the way. Thank You for the many blessings that You have provided and the love and fellowship that I have with the friends and family that in Your grace You have placed in my life.
My heart is so thankful for all the many blessings that I enjoy day by day, and today I am once again reminded that Your mercies are new every morning and Your faithfulness endures from generation to generation.
Thank You, that I have been brought into Your family and have been made a child of God and a citizen of heaven. Words cannot express my love and devotion to You Lord
I pray that You would watch over me as I rest tonight, and that You would give me a restful night’s sleep so that I may wake up in the morning refreshed in body and spirit and ready to do Your will. Guard all those that I love and may we all grow in grace and in a knowledge of the Lord Jesus Christ in the days that lie ahead. This I ask in His precious name,

Prayer Of Reflection On The Past Day
Loving Lord, as the day is coming to an end, I want to thank You for being with me in all that has taken place today. I also want to lay the whole day before You, asking that you would show me if there is anything that I have done to hurt or harm another person unknowingly, or if I have done anything that is displeasing in Your sight, or quenched the work of the Spirit in me, so that I may turn away from such things in the days that lie ahead.
Lord, I desire to do Your will in all things. I pray that You would cleanse me of any wrong thoughts or attitudes that may have surfaced in my heart today. Wash me in Your cleansing flood, I pray.
Thank You, that You are a God who forgives our transgressions when we are willing to confess them to You, knowing that such cleansing before You immediately draws us back into sweet fellowship with Yourself.
Give me a good night’s rest I pray, and may I rest quietly in Your loving arms in the knowledge that in Christ, I am eternally secure, due to Your amazing grace, for which I praise You. In Jesus’ name,

Evening Prayer For Forgiveness
Heavenly Father, thank You for bringing me through this day and Lord, forgive me for the times when I have wandered outside Your best will for me, instead of trusting You implicitly.
Thank You, that You are such a gracious Shepherd to me and that You come and rescue me even when I lose my way and stray from the path that You have laid out for me.
As I look back over today, I know Lord that there were things that I should have said and done differently, and times when I reacted in a manner that was not honouring Your holy name. Forgive me I pray, but thank You, Father, that You always faithfully prepared to gently bring me back to Yourself.
Give me a good night’s sleep I pray, knowing that there is no condemnation because I am in Christ, and may I wake up in the morning refreshed and ready to do Your will. In Jesus’ name I pray,
