Second, you don’t have to be a deep weeds walker to know exactly who the donor crowd was, but for those who don’t follow U.S. politics I can guarantee you these Cruz sentiments were to a very specific Israel-First audience of GOP donors. Ted Cruz is the political voice of Mark Levin; that’s why Levin’s son was working for the Cruz campaign back in 2016.
Thirdly, Ted Cruz role in 2028 will be to run as a splitter in the GOP contest with a direct plan to pave the way for Ron DeSantis. Cruz will continue attacking JD Vance on behalf of the Israel First alignment. That was/is the entire purpose of his remarks to the audience in this leaked donor audio. Ted Cruz is toxic and divisive.
Lastly, in the modern conservative movement, Ted Cruz is irrelevant.

Total BS. Born on US soil is not an argument. It is a factual Constitutional presidential requirement, and it originated long before anyone in America called himself a Democrat. It came to the Constitution’s Framers via Vattel’s book, the complete title of which is “The Law of Nations: Or, Principles of the Law of Nature, Applied to the Conduct and Affairs of Nations and Sovereigns”
which simply put centuries of accepted international law into one set of books.
The definition of natural born citizen cited by Vattel is just one of those centuries old accepted principles. That definition is “those born in the country, of parents who are citizens.”
Paraphrased specifically for the USA, it is “Those born on US soil to two US citizen parents.”
The US Supreme Court has cited that same definition in the process of deciding several cases requiring a true definition of natural born citizen in order to rule on them. In each case, the definition cited was the same as the one cited by Vattel. Not ONCE has SCOTUS cited any other definition.

There is no proof that either of Cruz’s parents were ever Canadian citizens. The reason he cannot be a natural born citizen and therefore is not eligible to legally serve as president is that his father was a citizen of Cuba when he was born and he was not born on US soil.

THAT made Cruz a citizen at birth; but, only because US naturalization law GRANTED him citizenship via his birth to an American citizen mother. Anyone granted US citizenship via a law passed by Congress cannot be a natural born citizen.

That alone told me Cruz was just a player, saying and doing what he thought were the right things but no real substance behind his words or actions. His bitter speech at the 2016 convention realizing he wasn’t going to be the nominee was the final straw for having any respect for the Senator.
Senator Cruz should have taken up Trump-45’s offer to become a Justice on the Supreme Court when that first opening came up, Cruz might have gone down as a worthy justice in future court history. Looks like is ego push to become a POTUS still getting in his way.

I really wish politicians would stop using Israel/Jews as a political weapon. It does nothing more than incite anti-Jewish feeling. I doubt there is any other political issue that invokes more vehement responses, on whichever side you inhabit. There is no other group of people, whether Russian (Russia Russia) blacks (BLM) Somalis (Minnesota) etc., that invokes a more vitriolic response. Jews are approximately 2.5% of the US population, and yet their issues and beliefs occupy a percentage far greater, for some reason.
