Let’s all pray for our fellow citizens this weekend whom are facing sub-zero temps, ice storms, power outages, and other temperature related challenges. For those in areas so affected, be sure to check on your neighbors, keep an eye out for each other, stay warm and stay safe. May God watch over each and every one of His children and even use this as an opportunity to reach those that may be wayward sons and daughters through the efforts of those close to Him that show them they are not forgotten and that there is a better way.

The best way through this is to define viewpoints, not people, because people will shift as they change position and velocity in Trump gravity.
Bash the neocon, warmonger, and dopey globalist positions – not the people who are going to hold them one moment and come loose from them later.
Trump is Jupiter moving through the asteroid belt. He is going to pull people into his orbit.
A few will get slung off into space, but most will come along for the ride of their lives.
I am ON the Trump Train for good, even if I scream that I want off and can’t take it. In the end, I only want to scream “TOO MUCH WINNING!!!”

Here is the game plan that the forces against Trump will be using for the foreseeable future.
They will attempt to get you to make the perfect the enemy of the good.
Be it the freedom clowns and spending, the immigration hawks with H1B visas, the peace doves with timing, the cultural warriors with total bans of DEI/CRT, the neocons with war fighting, or the swamp dwellers with draining the swamp.
All of them will attempt to get you to believe on whatever issue is the issue of the day that it doesn’t go far enough or do enough. They will try to make you think that some sub issue of that issue is more important and should be handled first, that since the issue hasn’t been handled yet it won’t be, that we can’t do more than one thing, that so and so is a plant to stop the draining of the swamp, or that because it wasn’t 100% Trump lied. On every single issue, one or more groups will attempt this strategy.
You can’t allow them that power over you. If Trump secures the border and deports 2 million, don’t allow them to reduce that good by them saying well he didn’t deport 2.5 million, so he failed or lied.
You can’t allow them to use the perfect to void out the good in the coming months.
They will try. They already have with the CR and the H1b visa debates. It works, that is why they use it. You have to keep it in the front of your head on everything about to occur that half a loaf or hopefully in most cases 7/8ths a loaf is better than no loaf.
Do not allow them to gaslight you into thinking the good is the enemy of the perfect.
In the real world, most things are never perfect, but if we try real hard, we can get plenty of good accomplished in the coming 4 years.
The purpose and goals of President Trump are plainly visible by his actions and consistent: He is for the benefit first of the common PEOPLE of this country, then of the PEOPLE in the rest of the world. It is validating, even to our battered conservative skepticism.
The methods of his leadership are amazing. I still don’t get HOW he does it, or HOW he is able to get so much momentum going, but every day the momentum is growing. Everyone and every organization has their eyes opened every day — just by watching him. Even those who hate him, are biased against him, and want to see him gone — cannot ignore him. He lives rent free in their head, and they come around to seeing the universal principles by which he is operating. He hammers actions based on truth from one direction, then another, and they cannot mount an organized opposition against him.
President Trump is transparent in his words and actions. He is consistent in what he says, what he does, and what he asks/demands of others. His promises are bold and he keeps them like no other president has. He is making massive, nearly overnight changes, not only in our country, but in the world. It is amazing that he is able to accomplish so much when there are so many snakes in the grass. This term, he is weeding them out faster. No U.S. president has ever faced so much organized resistance and treason than President Trump
He has chosen to use his intellect and every skill he has to do what is right. He has tremendous faith that he can make a difference in this world. He has a confidence and courage such that he doesn’t care what others think, yet a humility to know he has to do it with the help of like minded people. Those people are the “common” people, and he ridicules those who think they are not common.
He believes people are basically good. He believes that God is real. He believes that healthy people are happy people, and they need to be able to create wealth freely for their labor, and have the freedom to spend their money on what is good for them.
He believes the United States, with its Constitutional Republic, is the best environment in the world to enable and give opportunity for people to be happy and prosperous.
He believes that we can be a light for the world, but we must demand that the rest of the world respect us and our right to life, Liberty, and the Pursuit of happiness.
He believes the enemy of our country are the stupid, greedy American people who have been selfishly taking advantage of this country; who betrayed the trust and obedience of its people; and who diverted the people’s wealth for their own selfish gain, at the expense of the principles of this country. He’s not going to allow that anymore.
He has cultivated and focused the family of MAGA. Identifying those people whose goodness, industriousness, trust, and obedience have been taken advantage of and abused. He has opened our eyes to this abuse, and the rights of freedom and self determination that have been quietly stolen from us.
He has rekindled the healthy distrust of government and men with too much power held by our founders. He has recultivated the desire to reclaim our freedoms and rights, and is empowering us with a hope and pathway to reclaim our spiritual and economic freedom.
He wants the US to be a light of hope on the hill for all people. He will negotiate win/win agreements with those nations and countries who respect us; who respect the principles and intent of our Constitution. If you do not respect us, however, we are not going to let you take advantage of our goodness, or share in our wealth at our expense. If you as a nation are treating your people badly, you are going to be treated less favorably by us, until you show that you value your people as much as we value ours.
He is convincing those who are very wealthy (most of whom truly earned their money), that the best economic soil in which to build wealth is in a constitutional republic, which supports the ability of the common man to earn wealth in proportion to his efforts. The economic engine of the United States is the human spirit freed to enjoy the fruits of honest labor, and that engine has more natural and raw horsepower than any other governed economy.
The Trump Train seems to be remarkably aligned with universal principles of Truth, which reflect the will and design of our Creator, and are the best standard by which we should live. These same principles were what our country’s founders used to declare independence, and framed into the Constitution of this nation.
Our founders believed that a nation should preserve the right and freedom of an individual to seek, understand, and live by God’s principles. They believed that free individuals working together in humility would make a stronger nation than a government which dictates its will on the people. President Trump professes and seeks to lead and restore this nation back to these same principles.
These principles resonate deeply within all human beings, down to our DNA in every cell, in our spirits, and produce fruit that “miraculously” multiplies. Because we follow universal principles, we see the snowballing acceleration of momentum on day 370 of the 2nd term of this very stable genius in the history of the kingdoms of this world in the year of our Lord 2025.
Tomorrow could be snow or sleet…

Where I live it usually starts as freezing rain which make black ice, turns to sleet and then turns to snow. Makes for some very slippery conditions.
I have pointed out before that young people today often do not have enough food in the house to make more than two days if that.
Reports are that one walmart completely sold out of everything.

I have enough food in the freezer and pantry for a couple of months. I have a 4WD truck and hate crowds so usually shop when the weather is bad or at 4 AM in the morning. One day I was in the largest supermarket in my Northern WI mid size city mid-day on a decent winder day because I needed something specific only they carried.
Every checkout lane was open and the line backed up to the most store end frozen food aisle and then all the way back to the dairy department. When I finally got to a checkout I asked what the heck was going on? She replied well there is suppose to be a bad winter storm in two days and people are stocking up. I looked around and almost everyone was and older person or couple later 70’s to 90’s and they all had a full cart of two, enough for a older couple to last a few years. I stick to 4 AM to shop now.
You are lucky…we don’t have stores in my IL ‘hood, that open that early. The FL ‘hood that I frequent, same thing…or I would be there at 0400.
24 hrs store called Woodmans. They are huge and in a lot of cities in the state. Good place to work too. They have an employee profit sharing plan. Kids start in high school, stay and retire early with multi millions. One neighbor is a manager, he will retire at 55 and they will pay his insurance until he is on Medicare.
That is a great store. I used to live in Elgin, and I enjoyed Woodman’s for many things that you could not find at other stores. I’d love to get some of those Supreme’s Pizza Burgers, but not available in Texas!

The Virtue-Signaling is what bothers me. I have no problem with EVs, but they do have limitations that should be acknowledged, IMO.
I always wonder about severe weather events like we are experiencing now or hurricanes, accidents, etc when you see roads/freeways that are bottled up with cars that can’t move. If your EV is not charged up it could cause significant problems. I guess you can say the same about gasoline cars as well, but it’s much easier to get gas vs charging stations and time to charge up.

The words ‘listening post’ make my hackles stand straight up.
My place overlooks the strip of water separating far northwest wa. from canada, and the chinese apparently have those damn things set up about every 5 feet. I’m exaggerating, but the truth is the place is bristling with them because of our super strategic military location. We even see 5 man patrols in our seaside communities, dressed as civilians, of course, but their military haircuts, top physical condition, age and manner of behavior make it unmistakable who they are. They quietly speak chinese, there’s one man ‘in charge’ and they move in tight teams. It’s chilling to see them going systematically up and down the aisles of supermarkets and other key businesses and facilities. The implications are chilling.

while someone was traveling by car at night along I-35, in rural Minnesota, the driver started feeling drowsy, so the driver found a interchange and then stopped along a shoulder of a ramp. The traffic was very light and the weather was clear, but a night sky, 1 am or so.
The driver figured that 10-15 min of eye resting would help with safe travel, after a short rest.
Soon, while resting, there were flashing lights from a patrol officer that wanted to visit with the driver ( whom was resting in the parked car with parking lights on ).
The officer told the driver that the driver needed to move along.
The driver responded by pointing to the other ramp that there was a truck stopped there ( with parking lights on ), not moving either.
The driver said to the officer that the driver was wanting a brief rest, so as to avoid the officer from visiting a vehicle that had run into a guard rail. Just thought that might help the officer have a better time.
The officer moved on and allowed the driver to get a brief rest… : )
It helped both the officer and the traveling public. : )

some prefer to get a safe nap, finish the safe drive(s) within reason, and then get a better rest at home.

A word of caution about pulling onto the shoulder of a highway or exit ramp. Other sleepy or distracted drivers have been known to veer off the road and crash into parked vehicles, even when their hazard lights are on.
They follow the lights and.. WHACK! That’s probably why the policeman asked him to move. They see this all the time.
Cross over and rest on the on ramp instead. Driver’s entering interstates i the wee hours are usually alert.
Rest Stops …anyone. Would never sleep on the side of the road.

If the Army is actually to be deployed under the Insurrection Act, then it will take considerable planning and preparation to do it properly. And, as safely as possible, both for the soldiers and for the innocents. (Who are purposely scattered among the targets.)
I am sure they have been planning this for awhile. Senior commanders have an operations and planning staff devoted to contingency planning. And further on up the chain of command Dept of War has likely given major subordinates commands more detailed guidance. These young majors and lieutenant colonels doing the planning are usually pretty sharp. I still question though, why the SCROTUS pushed using active units over National Guard units. Dumb move on their part.

I observe that Trump is being very reticent about actually invoking Insurrection Act powers. I think he understands that the vast majority of the Citizens in these States want absolutely nothing to do with any of this. And, no one wants to be caught in a crossfire. Aggressively pursuing and prosecuting those who are “egging them on” is an excellent place to start. Cut off the fuse before it reaches the dynamite.
The Act is on the books and I’m sure he has been fully briefed on it. But, it is not what you actually want to have to invoke, and it will take a lot of careful planning and preparation to use it.
