Israel Update:
~Iran: I was wondering if I should report here on all the mobilization of the US to the Middle East but it’s a lot. Like 12 F15E jets, a whole bunch of re-fueling airplanes, spy drones, etc…
Yesterday there was the Command Boing C-40 airplane which landed in Jordan and the rumor is that it came with the CENTCOM Commander Admiral Brad Cooper. Also more Patriot missies and THAAD defensive missiles. It is clear that the US is preparing for a large operation in Iran. But only Trump knows.
~Israeli Chief of Staff of the IDF visited the most strategic Air Force bases and checked readiness. He made a statement that if Iran will attack Israel we are prepared to respond beyond anything that was seen before. Note: The Iranians made a similar statement too.
Gaza : Note that I have been avoiding Gaza and will continue because Hamas must disarm or else all the big talk about Peace Committee and reconstruction etc… is meaningless.
There are some 30,000 terrorists. They control almost a half of Gaza and all the population.
Israel will not let them rebuild themselves under some Arab “neutral” force that will basically protect them. As of now Trump says that “they have days or weeks to disarm or else”.
Only the IDF can disarm them. I heard about a 2 months ultimatum.
The other option is a scam, where the Arabs who will be let in pretend that they were disarmed but they hide their weapons. Israel will resist it and if Trump goes for it then we will have a real crisis with the US. It can even make Bibi lose the upcoming elections. Israelis expect to see Hamas gone. Hamas rebuilds itself is a desecration of the memory of the heroes who gave their lives in the war. Israelis will not agree.
So to conclude it all. We are a half done with Iran, a half done with Hamas, a half done with Hezbollah. The next couple of months will either make Israel the victor or go back to a ticking time bomb situation and future wars because we didn’t complete the job for whatever reasons it may be. And this will also determine the results of the Israeli elections. The way it is now, Bibi may lose and we will have a Center Left Govenment Heavens forbid.
I pray for the optimum solutions and the future security of Israel and the US.
Iran MUST be dealt with if there is ever to be peace in the Middle East. Khomeini and his gang must be eliminated.
Gaza should be razed into the dust before it is built back up. All terrorists must be eliminated.
Peace in the region will never exist otherwise….
In my opinion . . . the “Peace Committee” at this point is more Kabuki theater than a real effort at governance. Despite appearances, Trump has no illusions about Hamas . . . none at all.
I suspect the US military buildup is intended to 1st be a strong inducement to the Iranian mullahs to Get Out Of Dodge. Despite their bluster, after all that’s happened, the Iranians can’t ignore what comes next — Trump’s as yet unstated message is very clear — his 2nd response will be devastating .

How do you think the Board of Peace will impact this situation?
It’s more a tool to get everyone involved and donate to the construction and perhaps to pressure Hamas to disarm.
In a perfect world they oversee the Technocrats (the “neutral” professional Palestinians who will manage Gaza on the ground) and they will oversee a neutral moderate Arab Peace keeping Force. And they will order the force to disarm Hamas. In reality they are not actually in Gaza. Nobody but Israel is capable or wants to fight Hamas or even be in the area when Hamas resists.
In the real world if Hamas is left and living as of now. The Technocrats will become puppets of Hamas under the threats of guns if they were even permitted to come in. In Israel the opposition is attacking Bibi that he was scammed and the Technocrats Are really related to the Palestinian Authority from the West Bank. We don’t like the PA and said we do not agree for them to be involved. On the other hand the Islamic Jihad Organization is saying that the Technocrats are no good and are too friendly to Israel. So I don’t know if Hamas will even let them in.
In the real world the identity of the peace keeping Force is unknown.
Israel is refusing Turkish and Qataris as they are on Hamas side.
The worst situation for Israel is Hamas in there and rebuilding under the umbrella of an Arab force that secretly identifying with them and letting them to rebuild and control the area and preventing the IDF from dealing with it.
This is what happened in South Lebanon with UNIFIL from the UN who let Hezbollah build tunnels and positions very close to the UNIFIL positions and close to the Israeli border.
But again, everything is around disarming Hamas. And they wont. Unless it’s a scam and they give just some weapons and a few leaders leave Gaza but most of the 30,000 still hang on to their weapons.
It’s heart breaking me that Sundance is presenting Israel as an “enemy”, a kind of a “blood thirsty nation that has to be restrained”. As if we are the evils side. As if we like to send our sons and people to die in Gaza. But we are obliged to finish the Job with the Hamas and if Trump will prevent it, then it will be after him. We will see how it goes. I don’t see nations sponsoring the reconstruction with Hamas on the ground. Who will give money like that? The IDF will not withdraw with Hamas in control of Gaza. There is no peace without de-radicalizing the Gazan generation. As of now they are still terrorist supporters in the vast majority. It’s like Afghanistan. The US moved out and the Taliban took over with the support of the population. Only the Taliban is mainly an internal Afganistan problem and Hamas is a problem for Israel.

Oh, Betsy, he is 85 and just retired for the 3rd time! He has been both my employer for a time and my DC for 40 years. He literally saved my life.
We talk, visit and lunch as often as we can.
A wonderful man in every way.

He once brought a patient in before office hours and caught me vacuuming. Pointed to me and told his patient: “See what she’s doing? Don’t ever do that.”
Men like him are so rare, sis, and it seems they’re of an age such as he is.
My surgeon dad was one. He loved his patients and they him. Your feelings for and experiences with this good doctor are the same as I’ve heard and read from many of my father’s patients. How do I think at some future date, you’ll be writing that he “just retired for a 4th time”? What a blessing his life has been, Truly. And the friendship with one another which still thrives. Long life, good health, and another round doing what he loves I pray for him…🙏🏻💕

These are some of mine that I have lost in January of years past.
My apologies to those I have missed. I could do this for every month of the year, but my eyes would swell shut!
I know how indescribably heart wrenching it is to lose them, but please consider the pet who is waiting in the wings to love you and help you smile again.
Oh Soaz. All of them are so precious. Shortly after I’ve lost a pet, God provided me another stray. Funny, they would just be-bop on up in the middle of my 1/4 mile driveway at the ranch like they knew they would be taken care of! Bouncing along, happy as can be. They knew there was an invisible sign that said “All strays welcome here, including very pregnant ones!” Boy did I get a few of them too!
Story: When we were moving some of our stuff to Texas, we stopped at the rest stop on I40 at the AZ, NM border. A very pregnant type of cow dog came over begging for scraps. I told my very new husband, I am not leaving her, she is coming to Texas with us. No collar, so I decided she had been abandoned. We took her with us, along with my two shih tzus. My mom and dad were in their SUV and put her in their vehicle.
When we got to Texas, my mom and dad went and bought her a bed, we put her in the garage, it was a decent, fairly warm garage until I could get her to a vet. Real early the next morning I went out to check on her and she was in labor, so I sat with her and my dad kept me going with coffee. Her first pup was still born and she cleaned him up, then looked at me giving me permission to touch him so I tried mouth to mouth on him to no avail so she let me take it, then she had three live pups. I wrapped the little guy in a towel and buried him. Crying thinking about her and the puppies. She was very smart and could open doors, Suzy was her name. She never left the ranch property. She knew she would be well taken care of and followed me around like a shadow. I was able to get homes for the three puppies.

Little Baby McGee was born with only one kidney. The +××÷= “people” who had him, abused him so badly, his remaining kidney was very compromised. The vet “gave” him 6 months. God let us have him for 5 years. We are so grateful.

It reminds me of a beautiful Japanese tea service my Grandmother had. It was not floral but featured dragons, instead. So thin and delicate. When you finished your drink, there was even another dragon in the bottom when held to the light.
I wish I knew where it went. Disappeared into far-flung family, I guess.

Good afternoon Betsy. This was my first belly laugh of the day! I had two Shih Tzus. A boy and girl. The boy was the prissiest dog I ever owned. I called him “The Emperor”, but his actual name was Dusty Mop, and my little girl was the biggest “pig dog” I owned. She looked for the freshest cow and horse manure she could find to roll in. She looked like this picture a lot! I kept their hair short except for a little top knot. She was quite used to baths!
Short story – one day I had company and she walked into the living room as prissy as you please with her bow and top knot, sat down in the middle of the room, turned to my guests and let out the biggest belch she could muster and then turned and prissily walked out of the room! I turned to my quests and said “Isn’t she just soooo feminine!” We all then had a good laugh. Her name was Mei Mei, Mandarin for ‘little sister.”
The images for Cursday are great, as usual. Tissues handy for the dogs adopting their humans. Love the Blue Heeler on the saddle. My Queensland Heeler, Daisy, liked to get on my horse with me. Ah the memories!
Love the Last Will and Testament from a dog. Not long after I lose one, another stray would show up at the ranch. God’s way of fixing my grief. I do not regret at all of the many strays I took in. They turned out to be the best dogs I’ve ever owned, loving, protective, funny and comforting when things that particular day, did not go so great.

We are in the middle of our third viewing of every series of All Creatures Great and Small, the newest version we can access on Masterpiece. Third!! So wonderful is it. Nothing else we’ve watched can compare to its sweetness, beautiful stories, and that feeling of being able to return to times gone by. That’s what your story of Mei Mei reminds me of. There is actually a Pekinese named “Tricki Woo” by his ever so proper Mistress (Mrs Pumphries) who would approve of her…er…inelegance (as I shall call it). Oh my goodness, that made me laugh!! I know you and Corny would so enjoy this marvelous and moving British production. (Recommendation: tissues handy…)
Yes, I know…I actually do know what you mean about losing a loved animal and the grief, then the hand of a loving God showing another lost soul the way. Not a replacement, oh my no!! But a comfort. It has happened too often to us to deny what it is. And it is beautiful…
I have you on my mind all the time now with this upcoming ice storm I’m hearing is going to rival that terrible one we had in ’21. I am worried for your animals, and in fact for the birds and other creatures which will have to endure it. And for you going out to see go ypurs.

Dear Betsy, I got an extra bale of alfalfa for Blue today. He has a very warm, insulated, poor weather blanket he is currently wearing. He also has a three sided large “loafing shed”, with lots of soft hay inside it. It faces South, so he gets a lot of sun and no wind from the East, West and North. He does not seem to mind the cold like I do. Because of his age, he grows a rather long, warm fur coat beginning around November.
The chicken’s coop is a small shop that was here when I bought the place and is completely insulated and has rubber stall mats on the floor for Queenie, my old cutting horse. She was a small horse, so it was perfect for her. When she went over the Rainbow Bridge, I left it empty because Blue preferred to be outside. When the chickens came along, I redesigned the interior into a coop with nesting boxes and poles for roosting . They have plenty of food and they, along with Blue, have heated water buckets so they can drink during the cold weather. I hung a canvas tarp in front of their coop door, so they should be okay.
I’ve put a heated bucket out for the wild birds and they went right to it. They are used to it from all the previous winters I put it out for them.
I have really warm layers of clothes just for these storms. I’ve got long underwear, sweaters, insulated bib overalls the skiers use, heavy insulated tall riding boots with thick rubber on the part that goes on my foot with great treads and quilted, insulated uppers to my knee that are quite warm. Thank you for caring. I shall be extra cautious.
After that 2021 storm, I had a propane, wrought iron heating stove installed and have a full propane tank, so if electric goes out, I will have heat.
I am worried about all the Treepers in the path of this storm and have been praying for everyone that will be affected by this storm since I first heard it was coming.
Also, my son will be here the whole weekend, and he brought a bunch of groceries home last night for us.
I read the books “All Creatures Great and Small” years ago. I would really enjoy the show. I do not have cable, just an antennae, so not sure I can even get it. Will have to check into it.

Gizmo lost his home due to bad behavior. He just got fed up with his folks and decided biting was the way forward. He and I were friends so he came home with me for a temporary break. After a year the break became permanent. I’m relaxing in bed and he is draped over my belly, snoring.
He doesn’t usually snore but he has had a long and busy day.
Shih Tzus and their people are ‘special’. Or crazy. Take your pick.
Truly, Shih Tzus are special and just a tad goofy. I miss mine terribly. If it is God’s will, maybe he will gift another one to me. They do tend to snore when they are tired out and also it their short snouts and squishy faces will also make them snore.

I decided once upon a time I wanted red hair. My sweet Welsh hairdresser said it would suit me when I tentatively asked what she thought. Actually I meant red highlights, but it got lost something in translation. And so came the day, and I emerged a total redhead!!!
At first it took me aback. But after about a day, I realized I should have always been one 😂 Wish you could have seen my dear friends’ faces when they saw…let’s just say they all agreed…
I have the personality of a redhead and all that means. For better or worse, and that’s the truth!! 😁
We will always be sisters Bets, no matter the hair color!
I’m sure I have told you that my mom was a natural redhead. When my autistic reheaded grandson was very young, he felt odd enough, even without the red hair. So…….I dyed mine to match his, and have kept it up. I really couldn’t care less who doesn’t like it!
Afternoon, dear Bet. It already got down to the mid 20’s a few days back. Cold front promises about 3-4 days of mid 20 mornings. Fortunately, my 100 year old house still has natural gas heat. We stayed toasty warm during the Texas Freez. Even if I’m running on candles and batteries, Little ‘Tink and I will at least be in a warm house.
Speaking of ‘Tink . . . the little scamp has made friends with a young racoon. They are quite friendly together, going into the garage which is still accessible to ‘tink and itinerant ‘critters like her friend.
The little racoon is leary of us (he likes my neighbor’s yard also) but not all that afraid—he just keeps his distance. But he and ‘Tink get along just fine. I’d say he’s almost tame or at least very familiar around humans. We have other critters ‘possums, skunks, even a family of red foxes that come around from time to time. Our neighborhood sort of has a live and let live attitude which seems to work ok.
About 10 years ago I rescued a family of baby racoons (got ’em to a pet rescue who re-homed them). Anyway Little ‘Tink send her usual “Hi’ya Bet” purr. When she’s in my lap all I have to do is say your name and I’ll get a soft purr . . . Be well, love. And stay warm. Its always good to see you’re most welcome greetings. 😉

Garrison, please be mindful of rabies. It is endemic here on the Gulf Coast. Not sure if Texas is much different. You do not have to be bitten or scratched to contract it. It is considered 100 percent fatal once symptoms appear.
I’m concerned it may get more dangerous due to the explosion of feral, once domestic, animals. Especially cats.
I raised a baby coon that got thrown out of it’s nest before it’s eyes were open.
Not sure I would do it again.

Good afternoon Patty. Beautiful horses. That is some great riding. I’ve never seen that type of competition before. Quite impressive. I used to set up small courses in our arena at the ranch and we would just play around, going around barrels and poles. Nothing like this!
My favorite riding was playing with the cows and cutting them out of a herd! What a “natural high” that was! It was like dancing with the cow, mirror image. Such fun!
I so enjoy watching dressage. If you can, try to find the video of a Dressage competition by a grey mare named “Matinee”. It is by far the most beautiful dressage I have ever seen. The horse was literally dancing and was thoroughly enjoying every minute of it.

Biography: David Edward Hughes was a British-American inventor and musician. His most celebrated invention is the printing telegraph, which significantly enhanced the speed and efficiency of telecommunication during the late 19th century. The device used a keyboard that punched Morse Code onto paper tape, which could then be sent over the telegraph line at a pace much faster than handwriting.
Hughes’ contributions to telecommunication also extend to the field of wireless transmission. In the late 1870s, he built an apparatus to investigate the behavior of “spark discharges” in telegraph equipment. This led to the discovery of radio waves, a significant milestone in the evolution of wireless communication. However, due to his modest nature, Hughes did not patent his discovery, and the credit went to Heinrich Hertz, who made similar discoveries a decade later.
Aside from his telecommunication innovations, Hughes was also a skilled musician. He patented an automatic mechanism for a harp which allowed for a broader range of notes than was typically achievable. Music and invention were synergistic in Hughes’ life, as his musical knowledge often informed his scientific work.

I wish I knew how to post a pic. I would show you my 85 year old Mother with Cash, the 22ft long albino Burmese python draped over her shoulder. Cash is whispering in her ear, she is laughing like a loon and my young nephew looks about as scared as this kid!
Cash belonged to my best friends and was such a well known and popular stud-muffin due to passing on his genes of color and temperament, his offspring are still sought after today.

COMMENTARY FOR ROMANS 10
The apostle’s earnest desire for the salvation of the Jews. (1-4) The difference between the righteousness of the law, and the righteousness of faith. (5-11) The Gentiles stand on a level with the Jews, in justification and salvation. (12-17) The Jews might know this from Old Testament prophecies. (18-21)
5-11 The self-condemned sinner need not perplex himself how this righteousness may be found. When we speak of looking upon Christ, and receiving, and feeding upon him, it is not Christ in heaven, nor Christ in the deep, that we mean; but Christ in the promise, Christ offered in the word. Justification by faith in Christ is a plain doctrine. It is brought before the mind and heart of every one, thus leaving him without excuse for unbelief. If a man confessed faith in Jesus, as the Lord and Saviour of lost sinners, and really believed in his heart that God had raised him from the dead, thus showing that he had accepted the atonement, he should be saved by the righteousness of Christ, imputed to him through faith. But no faith is justifying which is not powerful in sanctifying the heart, and regulating all its affections by the love of Christ. We must devote and give up to God our souls and our bodies: our souls in believing with the heart, and our bodies in confessing with the mouth. The believer shall never have cause to repent his confident trust in the Lord Jesus. Of such faith no sinner shall be ashamed before God; and he ought to glory in it before men.

WE ARE FIGHTING A SPIRITUAL WAR OF GOOD VERSUS EVIL
PRAYING ON THE ARMOR OF GOD
Father God, I now follow your command to put on the full armor of God, because my battle is not against flesh and blood but against rulers, authorities, the powers of this dark world and against spiritual forces of evil in the unseen world.
I first pray on the Belt of Truth that it may be buckled around my waist, may I be centered and encircled by your truth dear Lord. Hem me inside all that is true and right, and may I be protected and held up by the truth of your living word, in my Lord Jesus name.
I pray on the Breastplate of righteousness, please protect my vital organs and my inner man, cover my integrity, my spirit, and my soul. Guard my heart for it is the wellspring of life, please strengthen and guard the most vulnerable places in my life with that which is right, good, and noble that I might not receive a fatal blow from the enemy, in my Lord Jesus name.
I pray on the Gospel Shoes of Peace. I choose to stand in the shoes of your good news, and on the firm foundation of my Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, the solid eternal rock. All other ground is sinking sand, I pray that I will not slip or fall, but that my feet would be firmly fitted on your lordship, my Lord Jesus. I choose to stand on you, so that the peace of God, which transcends all understanding will guard my heart and mind in Christ Jesus, the eternal Rock of Ages. I pray the Shield of Faith into my hand now. I pray on the Helmet of Salvation, that you might protect my mind from the thoughts that can lead me astray. I choose to take every thought captive, and arrest all intentioned ideas and motives that would harm others, or distract me from your holy will for me. I submit every captured thought to the Lordship of my Lord Jesus Christ, and ask that you would imprison those thoughts that are not of you my Lord. Transform my mind and renew my thinking that I may think God thoughts, and have a sober mind that is focused on your glory. Please protect me from being double minded that I may allow my mind, I reject to live an earthly life, because I choose to live a holy one, governed by you My Lord Jesus, the prince of peace, please have my mind to be saturated with the holy mind of Christ, in my Lord Jesus name.
Finally, I take up the Sword of the Spirit which is the holy word of God, I pray this powerful offensive weapon into my hand, and ask that your holy word would be fitting for every encounter I face. As the enemy gets close to me, please give me the insight, wisdom, and skill to wield the word of God to drive away the enemy, in my Lord Jesus name.
May the enemy and his team flee from me, upon hearing the word of God spoken by the power and direction of the Holy Spirit. Give me the sword of the spirit to cut through the wiles of the devil, so that I may discern the schemes of the enemy when he is near.
With all kinds of prayers, supplication, and intercession I pray to you my Lord God as the one who fights my battles. Now that I’m in your holy powerful armor, I walk away covered and ready to face my day as you go before me, and please protect me in the midst of the spiritual warfare in this unseen world, in my Lord Jesus name.
Thank you my Lord, for the spiritual weapons of armor and prayer that you have given me. It is written no weapon formed against me shall prosper, and you will refute every tongue that accuses me.
