Last Friday Dept of Homeland Security (DHS) began surging roughly 2,000 federal agents and officers from Immigration and Customs Enforcement’s deportation branch and Homeland Security Investigations, the agency’s investigative arm tasked with fighting transnational crimes into Minnesota.
The investigative objective appears to be utilizing the massive and systemic fraud throughout Minnesota as an entry gate to expand the investigation into other states. The key takeaway is that Minnesota simply reflects the tip of the iceberg and multiple Democrat run states likely have the same or worse fraud ongoing.
The Dept of Health and Human Services (HHS) now follow up on the DHS surge with an announcement that $10 billion in Temporary Assistance to Needy Families (TANF) payments are being halted as the investigations expand. Four additional states are being reviewed: California, Colorado, Illinois and New York, join Minnesota in seeing their federal funds stopped pending review and audit.
This is a smart approach because releasing the funds will be contingent upon the states accepting the audits. We all know that genuine audits of those state records will likely reveal massive fraud within the subsidy system that has been abused by Democrats. Minnesota has provided the entry point for a much larger corruption and fraud review.
WASHINGTON — The Trump administration is cutting off more than $10 billion in social services and child care funding meant for a handful of Democrat-led states over concerns that the benefits were fraudulently funneled to non-citizens, officials told The Post Monday.
The Department of Health and Human Services will freeze taxpayer funding from the Child Care Development Fund (CCDF), the Temporary Assistance for Needy Families (TANF) program, and the Social Services Block Grant program.
At least $7.35 billion in TANF money will be prevented from going to California, Colorado, Illinois, Minnesota, and New York. The CCDF funding block of nearly $2.4 billion affects all those states.
Another $869 million from the Social Services Block Grant coffers is being kept from all five states as well.
The funding pauses were to be announced via letters to each state sent Monday, citing concerns that benefits were fraudulently going to non-US citizens.
The HHS Office of Inspector General found more than six years ago that New York City improperly billed the federal government for more than $24.7 million in child care subsidies. (read more)

The FBI and DOJ have brought all the indictments and secured over 60 convictions already. It is the state authorities who did nothing. This is a success story for the DOJ and FBI.
The lead US Attorney Thompson is investigating $18 bn in suspicious transactions and he believes well over 50% of those transactions are fraudulent. What Thompson lacks is investigative personnel and judges to bring the cases to.
As I said in a previous post, think of these citizen journalists as cavalry scouts, roaming ahead after being given a general,order and possible locations. Every time the government gives away money on any program for any reason there will be people that steal benefits they aren’t entitled to. It happens in every program in every state, that being said, there is more fraud in areas where those in charge of disbursing those funds either don’t care enough to ensure only those who are deserving of the funds get them or those disbursing the funds are getting a cut.
I would guess it’a safe to assume an auto 10% will be fraud, the question is how much more than that? I suppose to some extent as long as the money is spent (not remitted outside the US) it contributes to GDP even if fraudulent. The gov worker’s job is to account for their 8 hrs clocked in, no incentive to produce results on fraud. If anything their performance evals are probably based on how fast they move the checks out.
This week we have people complaining that the state passed out $250 of state money to SNAP “customers” due to the shutdown, but if they didn’t spend it by 31 Dec they pulled any leftover back. Say it’s “unfair”.

Let’s not leave out NJ. Lakewood, which has around 80,000 Hacidic, which includes approximately 40,000 children, opened up in 2013 a 2000 capacity all girls school. Most have been classified as autistic. Don’t know the formula, but being labeled autistic allows for much more funding per student than non autistic. There are probably 40 all Hacidic schools in Lakewood. Also have Hacidic mayor . No non Hacidic can win any election without Hacidic endorsement. At least crime is low.

Let’s examine daycare assistance and child support. The system is specifically designed to allow a mommy to put the kids into the most expensive daycare she can find, get a subsidy from the feds (laundered through the state and county, each taking a cut) then turn around and get the father ordered to pay a share of the daycare retail price TO THE MOMMY even if that price exceeds the total share the mommy is actually required to pay in. Yes, dad’s share is specifically set at an amount that exceeds the amount the mommy pays in as “her share” after assistance. The statute is set up to encourage the mommy to select the most expensive daycare, get the aid, then back bill the father for a profit.
Now I wonder how we have daycare fraud. The courts are well aware that is the set-up, and they are complicit in the arrangement to launder federal assistance money to the mommy as a cash subsidy for choosing the most expensive places. Should I be foolish enough to believe other fraud isn’t built into the statutes and regulations?
I live in Colorado, and I whole heartedly support this. Too much of my tax dollars support people that do not belong here. People that need assistance can’t get it so Polis and the scumbag democrats can cater to illegal parasite democrat voters. The voter rolls need to be exposed!!!
Those of us Americans just trying to pay our monthly bills should receive a small amount of the loot stolen from the U.S. Treasury by Minnesota and other Democrat-controlled states. We are the people whose money has been stolen and can least afford it.
