Following a viral investigative report by independent journalist Nick Shirley on the Somali community fraud in Minneapolis, Minnesota, FBI Director Kash Patel announces a surge in FBI resources to the region to follow-up.

To date, the FBI dismantled a $250 million fraud scheme that stole federal food aid meant for vulnerable children during COVID. The investigation exposed sham vendors, shell companies, and large-scale money laundering tied to the Feeding Our Future network.
The case led to 78 indictments and 57 convictions. Defendants included Abdiwahab Ahmed Mohamud, Ahmed Ali, Hussein Farah, Abdullahe Nur Jesow, Asha Farhan Hassan, Ousman Camara, and Abdirashid Bixi Dool, each charged for roles ranging from wire fraud to money laundering and conspiracy.
These criminals didn’t just engaged in historic fraud, but tried to subvert justice as well. Abdimajid Mohamed Nur and others were charged for attempting to bribe a juror with $120,000 in cash. Those responsible pleaded guilty and were sentenced, including a 10-year prison term and nearly $48 million in restitution in related cases.
The FBI believes this is just the tip of a very large iceberg. We will continue to follow the money and protect children, and this investigation very much remains ongoing.
Furthermore, many are also being referred to immigrations officials for possible further denaturalization and deportation proceedings where eligible.” (read more)
Generally speaking, the FBI doesn’t usually activate unless the issue at hand begins to become a risk or threat to Washington DC. The FBI usually acts as a proactive defense mechanism for the interests of federal government.

If one were to go to the Minnesota state, county, and city government sites to research all the requirements to start and run a daycare center in Minneapolis, one’s mind would be overloaded with all the supposed regulation hoops one has to jump through to operate said daycare.
Then add all the requirements and forms to get city, county, state, and federal grant money and it becomes even more burdensome. Add all the business, health licenses, tax requirements, forms, and reporting, background checks on each employee, inspections, and etc. at all government levels.
There is no way all these day care centers are operating without a lot of inside help, rubber stamping, and blind eyes on the part of all government entities involved from city to federal level. And who are all the lawyers and accountants knowledgeable in the complicated machinations of all this that are setting this all up for these day care centers?

DHS is Not Investigating Child Care Centers
DHS is required by law to ensure our tax money is being utilized properly in the Child Care Assistance Program. According to State Statute 245H which regulates certified license-exempt child care centers (defined as centers that receive child care assistance payments), “the commissioner must conduct an on-site inspection of a certified license-exempt child care center at least annually”. When pressed back in early December by Rep Jeremy Munson (R-Lake Crystal) how many of these inspections were conducted in the 90 days since Jodi Harpstead became Commissioner of DHS, she responded with “I don’t know the current state of how often we visit every child care center in Minnesota, so I’ll have to find that out and let you know”.

Mom was at a local rehab hospital and they were inspected by CA while she was there.(A bunch of women and a blue/purple hairstyle).

The fact that the MSM/Legacy media is silent and has been silent, coupled with the judges overturning a jury (not once but three times, all three different judges, all three judges put in power the same way with the same connections). Not a single thing was being done by federal agencies to find or expose the fraud for weeks.
And, if you then look at what is required in Minnesota to set these things up adn keep them running legally, well, it becomes obvious these schemes need people high up in government to even get them started, not to mention to keep them going.
Not a single thing is being done by a government agency; they literally hoped that sharing bits and pieces over the next 2.5 years would allow it to go away, again right in front of our eyes.
The FBI and the DOJ…Patel and Bondi…dangle shiny objects in front of a citizenry fed up to the back teeth with their corruption, treachery, and ineptitude (“known to the FBI” or “On the FBI radar”… you choose), assuring us… we, who contrary to their delusional belief and disdain, can see exactly what’s going on and who they really work for…that they are not morally compromised. Which they are.
Then proceed to wipe their muddy boots all over our faces.
The massive corruption is endemic and systemic. We have a system of justice no longer. It is simply not a priority as it gets on the way of their real mission.
As I’ve have said before… and here we sit without any recourse or power to disembowel their whole rotted institutions.

I was so fuming angry yesterday that my cats looked at me and stayed away.
I am almost 67 years old. I worked hard, paid my taxes, obeyed the law, made a decent life for myself and have to find out that a 23 year old YouTuber and a man named Dave from MN put in more work going to these fake daycare centers, videoing them, and proving that they are truly fake than anyone in the Federal Agencies that fund States that allow this fraud to occur.
Between the Feds and the States, not one person gave a d*mn about fraud. Why do we Americans have to pay Federal income taxes only to have the Feds give it to States who squander it through fraud?
If these States did not receive Federal $$$$$ then they would have to raise taxes on the locals who would finally rise up against them. But as long as working, taxpayers from ALL OVER the USA have to chip in then no one can really see the real fraud that is occurring.
The Federal Agencies failed to do their jobs and take care that our income tax money was being spent frugally.
My thinking is that one (perhaps the main, even only) reason there is no interest in prosecuting fraud on a scale none of us could imagine and are gobsmacked by, is that the whole blasted lot of them…state and federal..are profiting by it in some manner.
Name another reason for the moribund actions of those prosecuting it, and those who perpetrate it who don’t seem to be too bothered about facing any consequences. I can’t think of a single one.
And doesn’t that make the US as failed a state as any other nation whose corruption is well known and documented?

Often laundering information through the media is useful. It sets the outrage stage, providing an opening for congressional hearing and testimony. A congressional referral to DOJ, triggered via “investigative reporting” provides plausible cover from “political targeting” allegations.
In a former life I had to pay attention to Congressional / Office of Inspector General audits and such. It always required some forensic effort to determine the origin and motivation behind the investigation. Once determined, the agency was better able to respond in an appropriate manner. Somebody wanted something, and they wanted Congress to demand it.
My advice was always, what ever we think we are talking about, its really the money. It’s a poker game, not a chess game. Multiple players, holding different hands every bet.
Hearings? Hearings are where the elected officials protect their other elected official friends. Sternly worded letters will be issued and then people will hem and haw about precedent……
Well, until the Uniparty agrees that precedent can be voided by the Democrat arm to ensure that the Uniparty’s needs are met, all while protecting the R wing in the eyes of their duped followers.
