An unregulated industry is responsible to consumers, producing products consumers want. Unregulated industries have no incentive to give money to politicians and political parties. That’s why Democrats want to regulate every industry: because they shake down the businesses for money that way. The auto industry has been regulated into bankruptcies and bailouts, because of the politics interjected into their businesses.
Congress should get rid of CAFE standards altogether. Let people be free to choose what cars they want to buy. Stop requiring that every new invention be included in every car: it does not take a mainframe computer to drive down the road. Regulating the auto industry was an experiment in “government knows best,” and it failed.

She certainly has the chops, but as far as likeability goes, IMO, it approaches zero. Because of that, I doubt she’ll have much appeal to the younger MAGA folks that President Trump brought to the MAGA movement, and who we can’t afford to lose.

I disagree on the phony issue. Rumor has it that her bank account has grown to 25 million over a 5 year period. I strongly believe that MTG has had many phony moments in her congressional career and that she has perfected phoniness to such a degree that some people just don’t see it.
