Republican Matt Van Epps won a Tennessee House special election on Tuesday defeating Democrat Aftyn Behn.
CD07 covers portions of heavily Democrat Nashville, which gave Democrats hope to make a flip of this House seat.
(VIA AP) – […] A military veteran and former state general services commissioner from Nashville, Van Epps defeated Democratic state Rep. Aftyn Behn to represent the 7th Congressional District.
In a victory statement, Van Epps said he will be “all-in” with Trump in Congress.
“Running from Trump is how you lose. Running with Trump is how you win,” he said. “Our victory was powered by a movement of Tennesseans that are ready for change. We are grateful to the President for his unwavering support that charted this movement and catapulted us to victory.
Trump congratulated Van Epps, saying in a social media post: “The Radical Left Democrats threw everything at him, including Millions of Dollars. Another great night for the Republican Party!!!” (more)

Great news for MAGA! The Volunteer State came through tonight.
Fox is saying it is too close to call. SMH.
Seriously?
I swear, according to Fox!
These special elections are constructed just for this reason.
See Ted Cruz’s first election.
Thank the Lord. I am just watching the update. Van Epps has won. Do not see the numbers yet.
Same network call Arizona for joketato
I watched FOXNEWS tonight and they scrolled across the screen around 8:30 CST that AP Projects Matt Van Epps wins TN District 9.
I was watching earlier. Wonderful confusion for a special election.
Confusion & chaos is Dems SOP & legacy media supports that process.
EPPS won…
Hey, TN DEMS & FOX News….PDJT announced Epps win via TS. Gonna try to steal that win? Be prepared to lose your federal funding. Yep. That is now the drill, cheaters.
Tide has turned.
From Truth Social
“Van Epps (R) holds TN-7 by 8.8%, that’s a ~13-point swing toward Dems since Trump’s +22% in 2024 and Green’s +21% in 2022.
Special-election caveats fully apply (low turnout, educated skew, massive Dem spending, late GOP GOTV & spending), but still:
– GOP retains a deep-red seat, House stays 220-213. Relief for Republicans tonight.
-But continued warning light for 2026.”
“Special-election caveats fully apply (low turnout, educated skew, massive Dem spending, late GOP GOTV & spending), but still:”
But still nothing, this is EXACTLY what happened!
While the liberal talking point “warning bells” will be echoed ad nauseum tomorrow & perhaps the rest of the week, this is indicative of nothing different than the two (2) blue state wins a month ago. The MAGA messaging will begin next spring & coincide with the affects of the Big Beautiful Bill & we will show out in droves in November.
In Tennessee District 7, the total vote in 2022 midterms was 180,822.
Correct they were the same as today & that’s with the liberals over performing due to being led to believe they had an outside chance in winning this election with faulty polls. My point still stands, MAGA know what’s at stake next October & once Spring gets here we will be reminded constantly of it’s importance.
In the TN-7 special election, Republican Matt Van Epps scored a decisive 9-point win (53.9% to 45.1%) over Democrat Aftyn Behn, with roughly 179,000 votes cast, plowing past the ~115,000 turnout in the district’s only prior special election back in 2005, when Marsha Blackburn crushed it by 32 points in a far less gerrymandered seat. (The Dems gerrymandered since 2005: Tennessee’s 7th Congressional District was significantly redrawn during the 2020 redistricting cycle, with the new map signed into law on February 6, 2022. This was part of the post‑2020 Census redistricting process., i.e., illegals included- Nashville took a lot).
Democrats are spinning the slimmer margin as “warning bells” for MAGA, claiming Trump’s tariffs and immigration stance are alienating voters and foreshadowing a 2026 midterm bloodbath, despite pouring millions into flipping a district rated R+22.
But that narrative collapses under scrutiny: low-stakes specials always tilt toward Democratic base turnout, and Van Epps’s win, boosted by Trump’s late endorsement, underscores the president’s staying power in deep-red turf. The media, as we know, bought and paid for by Uniparty.
Turnout surged more than 55% over 2005 even after adjusting for population growth, signaling engagement, not rejection. Meanwhile, Trump’s policy approvals remain solid among core supporters (47% favorable in the district per recent polling).
Bottom line: this race highlights MAGA resilience, not the “Trump in trouble” fantasy the left is desperately peddling.
Yeah not expecting the media to say “this spells DOOM for democrats! It shows the energy is with the republicans!” Like they did when the spooks took Va and NJ and kept NYC.
Big turnout, massive stealing, but unsuccessful.
I’m sure there was massive stealing. Until the voter rolls of all 50 states are cleaned up and mail in ballots are outlawed, the cheating will continue. But I think the cheating is seriously hampered when they don’t have accurate polling to determine WHERE the fake ballots are to be deployed. How do we throw a wrench into their polls? Simple. Don’t respond to ANY polls, republicans or democrat. Deny them that information, and they are mostly blind.
Have a relative in Nashville, living in a mismanaged condo.
warned her neighbors to be sure and vote, but after checking carefully it turns out this condo is in Andy Ogle’s district, right on the border, not Van Epps. Confusing. Sure am glad people got out the vote on this one. Communist mismanagement is legendary, and the condo disrepair / misdirection of funds problems are bad enough
They gerrymandered in 2020, singend the new maps in 2022. That’s why it’s confusing.
Hey this was a brand new district which has never voted before, many people had NO idea that they were even in the new district, it’s not a huge wake up call. Now people will know where to vote and the margins will go up, Nashville is a blue city so that won’t change but the surrounding area is red and that won’t change either. Virginia and NH are blue states again not a wake up…..
Exactly, for me, that’s the tell:
The MSM/Legacy Media spinning Dem wins in areas Dems normally win tells me they are in trouble. It’s akin to celebrating a boy who writes his name in the snow while peeing….duh, that’s what boys do, nothing new, nothing to celebrate, well, unless that boy is not a boy and pretending and they need to hide the pretending.
Nobody should watch FOX. It’s the Lying Grifters Network, dedicated to sabotaging President Trump.
Translation: Epps won, but Dems are still trying to cheat and win & Fox will support that effort.
EPPS WON
If only we had a real news channel!
Winner, winner, chicken dinner!!! Support Trump and win.
Nashville was the only blue county. If the Democrats control the county, they will cheat. Luckily the rural counties overwhelmingly voted red.
They DO control Davidson County 😎
And they voted for somebody who openly hates Nashville.
Nazi with death head tattoo.
Wish children die.
Hate your voters.
Nothing stops dems from voting for creeps.
Yes, Behn is a privileged woman who had attended pricey private Webb School in Knoxville.
Toured Webb once and commented on inappropriate chairs in their typing/computer classroom that could give the user carpal tunnel syndrome. The teacher/tour guide blithely told me, well, our graduates won’t be typing that much, they will have other people working for them…
Clueless
Hope they fixed that attitude and ignorance of good management meanwhile.
Behn does not do Webb any credit
Story of our country.
There are still too many people who support the President who don’t bother to vote when he’s not on the ballot. They are playing Russian roulette as if the last four years never happened.
J
No, it is all about stolen elections. Always.
And it is very understandable that people don’t vote when they see the leadership not answering obvious questions about stolen elections. People are not so insane as to see election officials tell you they won’t show anything, you must just trust that they did it right, and then work really hard to get out a vote when the people in charge of the election just proved your doubts by their behavior.
Now if we have a couple elections in person, paper ballots, hand counted at the precinct level, so people have a reason to trust again, THEN if people don’t show up to vote, then you would know it’s because they don’t care about America. But right now it’s all just narrative as far as the eye can see.
And we need to stop pretending it’s otherwise.
Yep, REPS who don’t vote elect DEMS.
The best persuader in the GOP, the best speaker–he’s clear, concise, passionate but not full of drama, can speak just as well off the cuff as he can with a lecturn in front of him and a speech on a telepromter, knows the issues and often gives the pros and cons of both, and he can speak well of Trump w/out sounding like a butt licker—-
Marco Rubio.
If HE were the VP, I’d put him out on the trail ALL OVER AMERICA.
All of here know Marco’s background, his presence on the SSCI, and we think we know what that means. I am sure Sundance is watching Marco carefully and working out his feelings about where Marco is on the trust meter. I look forward to his analysis…when the time comes. So far, it looks as if Marco is a loyal soldier and very good choice for VP.
Personally, if I still feel about Marco in 3 years as I do today, I will want HIM to the the choice for POTUS. While Vance has done a good job and did a good job campaigning, there is something about what happens to a groups of people when Marco talks to them. I’d give him a much better chance of winning than I’d give Vance against the Dem candidate.
It’s too early to think of 2028, however. I want a good result for 2026, and I hope his DOS responsibilities don’t make it impossible for Marco to go to a lot of districts and campaign. I want Marco on tv more. His calm but firm answers to questions say “This guy makes sense and he backs the gop positions all the way.”
Sec Rubio already has three jobs (State, NSA, Head librarian (something like that)), I’m sure he could fit in his schedule a few speaking gigs when needed for 2026 election get-out-the-vote. Joking. But only sort of.
IMO If Republicans want a good result for the midterms (Holding onto control of the Senate and HR) then they better get the prices down on food, housing, and fuel. Though they are making progress on fuel and to some extent housing, the fact is groceries, going out to eat, and even fast food prices are going to have to come down considerably. No amount of saying things are getting better or blaming the democrats is going to change that dynamic.
Inflation such as FJB created forever raises the price floor for goods. Prices are never coming down to what they were pre-2021 with the exception of energy & Housing. Never. Ever. Going. To. Happen.
The administration is banking very heavily on supply side growth + wage growth & deportation increasing housing availability to drive down rental costs and prices. That’s been made very clear by Sec Bessent & Kevin Hassett’s coming appointment to Fed Chair.
They they’ll lose!
While I agree with your sentiment, I do disagree with your outcome. Yes, processed food prices are sticky. Restaurant prices can be sticky too.
Energy prices are already down and probably will go down further. That piece of the puzzle can drive down costs by itself. Energy places a part in every step in the food process, from from planting to fertilizing to harvesting. Then to transporting and processing and transporting again. When energy is lower, that either drives down prices, which takes time, or companies become more profitable, which happens immediately.
Further more, fresh produce prices can come down significantly quickly, especially if the harvest is bountiful. There’s work that needs to be done to break up the cartels that control a lot of that distribution, as Sundance has pointed out.
While I agree that it is difficult for those prices to come down, it is still possible.
But, the other wildcard in that equation is state and local governments with taxes and fees. With their budgets in shambles, they feel they can step in and raise taxes, which eliminates those savings. From that perspective, I agree with you, it’s hard for prices to come down.
Last, if governments don’t steal all those gains from lower energy prices, that’ll translate to more dollars in the everyday American wallet through cheaper gas at the pump, lower home heating costs and some lower prices. And if wages continue to go up for everyday working Americans (which they have already) and once they feel it in their tax returns and weekly paychecks, once the benefits of OBBB KICKS in, it won’t FEEL as expensive as it is now. It’ll be less of an issue.
So a Prog can wreck their car in .25 of a second and wonder why repairing it is taking days.
The zombies simply won’t vote wisely with their noses in media news 18 hours a day.
Even they could barely tap the screen for Camela in ‘24, but when it’s about anti Trump vindictiveness they’ll reliably send in their ballot.
You can’t worry about them, they are insects on the windshield. The truth will always win the day.
“Insects on the windshield “…👍😂
You will also never get prices for things down when wages are higher than they should be. Eating out especially. When a restaurant has to pay their employees a lot you can bet your food is going to cost a lot more. Pay a burger flipper $20 bucks an hour and your burger is going to cost a a lot more than of your burger flipper was making $7 bucks an hour. And why isn’t anyone talking about this? Employers aren’t building businesses to go bankrupt but to make a profit. They can’t make a profit if they have more outgo than input.
There is a case for focusing on food banks and cooking classes. Seriously. We already have both of those, but not widely and not effectively enough.
A lot of people are sick from eating garbage foods that were unknown in the 1960s when most people were slim. I still remember babysitting and driving a kid to McDonald’s on his mother’s instructions — my first visit ever to a fast food place. That stuff may save you time but costs in other ways.
Keep in mind that these prices will not revert back to pre – Covid levels and increases in income take time.
Marco so far has more charisma – among his other surprising attributes including being a convincing speaker who comes off as smart, confident, and in charge of the facts.
It helps that he also has a great sense of humor.
Rush had his sights on M-Rub back when he won his first senate race. He said he saw him as presidential material even then.
Despite his foam party days, and I’m sure someone has tapes, I’d gladly back him in ‘28.
Yes, if there are tapes, how about we acknowledge that our entire society since the 1960s has encouraged sexual indiscretions that people may regret once older. I give Marco a pass for foam parties if there were any. A competent person who can speak Spanish fluently and accurately assess the issues is more important than what he may or may not have done as a mis-led youngster
And I feel sorry for Justin Bieber also, those Diddy parties. Poor kid
Marco Rubio will be the next elected President of the United States. 😇
Sorry Vance too many minorities hate you. 🤷🏽♂️
I don’t think it helped the dems that Behn basically came out and said she hated everything Nashville is about! The lamestream media covered for her best they could with their usual softball interviews and lies by omission but the internet is forever and her statements were circulated widely!
Nashville voted for her 32,900 to 9,100 😎
Incredible
Not so incredible when you realize Nashville voting rolls are not clean. I called to complain that a relative has been getting Nashville Voter information mail at her address for someone who hasn’t lived in that complex for years, and was told that unless that lady comes in and changes her address they weren’t going to do anything about it. You can bet a lot of Nashville votes are coming from dead or relocated people
That’s pitiful
Not sure that made a difference to any Liberals, They’re Nuts!
It didn’t.
See my post above 🤗
Exactly! She’s been called “the AOC of the South”, and seems just as stupid.
Van Epps should have won by a wider margin.
“Run away from Trump (MAGA) is how you lose.”
Are you listening now Virginia GOP?
Amen brother!
Virginia sucks. Literally.
Next question to Virginia GOPe, do they care?
I can tell you the answer, no, they don’t.
Some background:
TN has 9 CDs and before 2020 it usually elected 7 GOP and 2 Dems to Congress — 1 from Nashville and 1 from Memphis.
After the 2020 Census, the super majority GOP controlled state legislature decided to carve up Nashville and spread its voters into several surrounding very GOP CDs. It worked, and now TN sends 8 GOP and 1 Dem to Congress.
The 7th CD is one of those CDs that took on a large chunk of leftist Nashville. Look at the map SD provided above. Over 2/3s of Nashville is in tne 7th. That’s a lot of Commie votes to overcome from tne surrounding and mostly rural counties to the west.
In this election, Van Epps won by around 15,000 votes overall. He lost Davidson County/Nashville by 21,000 votes. His margin of victory meant be won the rest of the district by over 36,000 votes.
I’m convinced the margin was ”only” 9 points because it was a Special election held just a couple days after the long Thanksgiving weekend, AND that many normally GOP voters didn’t bother because they figured he had it “in the bag” since most GOP voters in this CD live in heavily GOP areas.
BTW — that much publicized Emerson pol showing the race within a couple points turned out to be garbage 😎. As usual.
Audit Davidson county I’ll bet you find a lot more ballots counted than votes cast
YES.
The election crooks use cooked polls to condition the public that the Dem candidate is making the sale and destined to win. Once the fake news has saturated the ground with their biased PROGnostications it makes the fraudulent Smartmatic win believable… no one calls for a second look.
And if they do they’re mocked as “conspiracy theorists”.
The Republican likely won by a much larger margin without fraudulent votes. Remember, the left can steal virtually any election through the election systems/software (See Stolen Elections: The Takedown of Democracies Worldwide and better yet the interview with Lara Logan about this book). It would have been too obvious if the Dem won (Trump won country by 22 pts), so the left decided to not steal it. But they will continue to steal many elections, especially the midterms.
The GOP controls elections in TN.
The Commie won Nashville by over 21,000 votes from around 40,000 cast in Nashville. That’s about right.
Van Epps won by winning huge in the heavy GOP counties of the CD.
itbwas not a larger margin because it was a special election just after the long Thanksgiving weekend, and because GOP voters in the heavy GOP areas thought they didn’t need to vote.
This is why states have special, idiotic elections. The GOP wanted to lose. Too bad.
The GOP steals also. So let’s make them unstealable from either side, by having everything publicly hand counted at the precinct level.
Trump is going into the heart of the election fraud beast with the hopeful removal of Maduro. Venezuela is under the radar of most Americans but is the hub of criminal tech in this hemisphere.
Overflowing with oil and cartel money, they can afford any expert necessary to take us down using online election hacking.
I have a hard time reading a lot from these one off special elections. When there is just one or two elections instead of 435 with 50 marginal districts to focus on, the left can focus all of its media and money on that one place. I expect this Democrat outspent the Republian 10 to 1.
Still, I saw that DJT won this TN district by 22 points. This Republican better have won easily no matter how much the left spent and the media gaslit.
BTW OT – Mark Levin called out this site by name on Monday and very much attacked it. I don’t know why he did so as I don’t recall reading anything in particular about Israel here of late. The listener was meant to know by his innuendo as far as I could tell.
Tree attacks Levi occasionally for various reasons. I’m guessing the feeling is mutualistic.
Sundance does not attack anyone.
Sundance tells truth about people by their actions.
Duplicitous people hate that.
Facts 💯
Free advertising 😀
And maybe I am wrong, but I think Sundance has had issues or vice versa, with Levin before. I’m sure someone will correct me if I am wrong.
Vice versa. Old Yeller did not like something SD said here and threatened to slap a lawsuit on SD and personally depose him, blah blah blah.
Mark Levin. Mr. “Bill Barr is an honorable man” Levin. Mr. “I’ve got a book for you to buy ” Levin. Spit. Who listens to that schmuck anymore? Yeah, that’s right. I said it.
Special elections in the modern era just don’t mean anything as a barometer for future races. Zero. The DNC fraud machine whipping up votes is more effective when they can focus on one local race than 538 Congressional races at once.
What the results tell me is the Democrats can swing results by 10 points when they don’t have to worry about cheating other races. That tracks with those races in NJ and VA last month. Knock 10 points off those results for the Dem candidates and the numbers make a lot more sense. I bet those governor races would have been much closer if held in a regular election year.
Thank God. And it’s real, she conceded.
If we could get someone to nuke the top 20 largest US cities America would be a great place again.
It’s always the major metro areas that are hard core blue cult centers, surrounded by the remaining majority red part of the State.
Which is why Rural Oregon wants a divorce from the Interstate 5 Oregon.
Thank you Lord! 🙏
Aftyn Behn dodged a bullet. Tim Burchett might have flipped out and strangled her.
Stand up for your principles, Matt – we need as many as we can get.
Tim Burchett is a gem. So grateful he stepped up for his job
There is his family heirloom M1 Garand?
“Today, the Justice Department’s Civil Rights Division announced it has filed federal lawsuits against six states — Delaware, Maryland, New Mexico, Rhode Island, Vermont, and Washington — for failure to produce their statewide voter registration lists upon request.”
https://www.justice.gov/opa/pr/justice-department-sues-six-additional-states-failure-provide-voter-registration-rolls
Washington State is a sanctuary state. Biden and his administration made sure to assist as many immigrants from third world countries an immigration status of Refugee, Asylum seekers and Victims of Trafficking because every one of these statuses allowed them to start receiving cash, food, medical and housing assistance without having to wait 5 years before applying for benefits.
The state application for these programs are available in 19 different languages, each application has one of the first questions of Would you like to register to vote? Yes or No check boxes are available. They are encouraged to select yes. The current Governor was the former Attorney General (Bob Ferguson). He stressed it is not illegal to register to vote, only illegal to vote if you are not a citizen.
When they check yes to the question a ballot is produced by the secretary of states office. The ballot is printed at the States print shop and mailed by the States Consolidated Mail Services. I doubt these ballots are actually mailed to the welfare applicants.
Our former Secretary of State was Kim Wyman she was supposedly a Republican, but she was the person responsible for motor voter and welfare voter registration. As soon as Biden won (I use that term loosely), Kim Wyman went to work for the Biden regime.
Until we have one day of in person voting my State will be a communist hell hole.
Contrary to the lies perpetrated by the Democrats and their fake media allies, and even by some so-called conservatives, Tennessee’s 7th district is not deep red, but is R +10 according to the Cook Partisan Voting Index, despite President Trump winning the district by 22% in 2024.
All but one other Republican district ranges from R+17-R+29. Those would be deep red.
And Matt won by about 9%, just under the R+10. Behn won Davidson county by 77% of the vote, 15% more than the 62% won by Harris. Had Davidson county Democrats voted in line with 2024, Matt would have won by close to 13%. Davidson county represented 24.5% of the vote in the district, vs Harris representing it with 21.7% in 2024. So even with the Dems national push for a win here, they lost big, and can’t spin it any other way.
The only takeaway from this is that Republicans need to learn how to get out and vote in special elections.
Thomas Hern
@ThomasMHern
“Trump did win it by 22, but Marsha Blackburn in 2018 only won the district by half a point. So Matt Van Epps is going to win it by 9 tonight. The lesson to take away from this is Democrats had three State Representatives running, they picked the liberal wingnut.”
Cont….
Clay needs to stick to sports. He is not so bright about the rest of it. He also came out early in 2021 and said we need to move on from the Stolen Election. I moved on from Clay that day.
“Republican” or just citizens need to get out and vote because the Uniparty will kill us if they can
We suffer greatly the UniParty in TN. We are bright red with purple policies. The state is heading to socialism we just are at the back of the train compared to some of the states. Gov Lee makes DeSantis look MAGA and DeSantis is not MAGA.
That was a good assessment Ron. Republicans here in TN need to learn how to get out the vote period. The Democrats saw what their spending did to get turnout up a bit. There are enough D votes still out there that if they would have spent another million, it might have flipped. This was their test run for next year.
She got more votes than the D in 2022 and there are another 60,000 D votes that could have turned out with more money. It might be a much more difficult race next year.
Congratulations to Mr Van Epps on a great win.
Congratulations to the Warroom posse getting the word out to vote and Turning Point for the final push and ground game effort.
Of course it goes without saying, President Trump’s endorsement is solid gold.
Teamwork and sharing the work load is always a winning strategy.
What methods did TPUSA use?
They have an awesome ground game of young enthusiastic door knockers, new media presence, and rallies.
Charlie Kirk started an amazing, strong, conservative movement among the younger generation which is action oriented. Unlike the youth on the progressive side that are busy rioting and tearing up everything in sight, they are interested in making things better peacefully.
Great news for Texas and Elections!
We won’t have real elections until we’re honest about the fake ones. This kind of pretending not to notice will be the nail in the coffin.
UniParty Club Rules:
1) you do not talk about the fake pandemic
2) You Do Not Talk About The Fake Pandemic
3) You Do Not Talk About The Fake 2020 Elections
And you do not talk about all the children killed with mRNA “vaccines”
So far only ten are acknowledged as killed by the clotshot. I have personally been told of two children who “died suddenly” but it hasn’t been attributed to the clotshot by their parents or pediatricians

A well deserved slap in the face for those who poured millions into Behn’s campaign… grateful that voters chose a combat veteran w solid values, courage and patriotism over a leftwing nutjob… Trump won this district by 22pts.
This is the way D’s raise their money.
They can make millions on a losing candidate.
Likely our money they were pouring in.
America First.
But wait.. . .what about all the mail-in ballots that just showed up. . . .?
Not every contest is rigged. If they all were people would be forced to stop pretending not to notice and that would be painful for some to have to admit.
I lived in Nashville for about a decade. Moved from there in 20.
Nashville is heavily democrat and I believe the surrounding areas will follow suit with the influx of people coming from places like NY and other democratic states.
Sure hope not but it’s a risk right now
oh Thank God! I went to sleep planning to check in on this and just didn’t wake up until now. Praise the Lord!
Great for MAGA.
All Trump had to do was post on Truth Social for Tennesseans to show up. Our state has been battling the influx of blue state refugees who bring their horrible policies with them. Not to say, all blue state refugees are Democrats.
Nashville, which we fondly call Trashville, and a few surrounding rich neighborhoods, does not represent Tennesseans.
I know 5 Washington State residents that moved to Tennessee, not Nashville and they are solid conservatives. Conservatives leaving Washington will not move to the blue cities. They have seen what happens with Seattle, Tacoma and Olympia.
I voted for Matt in Fairview. My ballot had a human readable name and 3 lines of barcodes. I wondered what those barcodes break out to, so I scanned them. The top one is “00000001”, the long middle one is “0000000016000054067300000100” and the short one under that is “010911”. How can I verify my vote if I don’t know what the numbers represent?
A narrow win but a win is a win. Here’s the existential risk that dogs our country: if you can get 45% of the total vote in support of such a vile, anti-American creature from Nashville, Tennessee, of all places, then you’d best wake the f%#k up and admit reality.
9% is NOT a close win – it’s a stomping.
As has been said forever, in regards to Nashville and other deep blue cities, they would vote for Hitler if he was a Democrat.
Yep.
I guess the strategy of hating the people who could vote for you and everything they do and stand for is now a failed strategy. Back to the drawing board for the Democrats.
What is really sad is the number of votes that liberal mastered. While she didn’t win, that kind of political thinking needs to be reckoned with. That is what will eventually become the norm if we don’t start re-education programs.
A deep thinking liberal isn’t likely to change.
Was this the lady caught on tape saying she hated Country music and TN in general?
Yes
Can anyone explain the stupidity of people who vote for candidates that openly hate everything good and only show disdain for the people they are supposed to represent? In Davidson county (lefty Nashville), the dem won by 64 points! It’s like NY and VA. I will never understand liberal logic.
Is that not an oxymoron. Lefty Logic? 😎
It is ALWAYS emotional with them.
Cheers!
Nashville has an enormous roving homeless population, and Tornado Bus Lines on Nolensville Pike direct to Mexico and Central America. Nashville resident described witnessing a hit and run collision near Tornado and Plaza Mariachi on Nolensville pike… heavily face tattood guy in a stolen car totaled at least one other car and just walked off. People were afraid to confront him, probable gangster imported by Biden/Harris
“barack obama” was “President” for 8 years. People actually voted for him too.
This type of voting has been present in the South for years. It is called being a “yellow dog Democrat”. Meaning: the democrats would vote for the Democrat even if it was a yellow dog.
That collage would make amazing wrapping paper
It bothers me that PDJT47 won Tennessee by 22 points, yet a seriously deranged maniac socialist lost to a righty veteran by only 9 points a year later. That woman literally announced that she hates the people of Nashville and almost half the voters (probably transplants from NYC, Chi-raq, and California) agreed with her.
It’s too bad Homan and his crew can’t round up illegal socialist immigrant invaders from blue states and deport them back to the hellholes they created.
I know, voter turnout, enthusiasm, etc., but republican’t state parties better wake up and start getting folks motivated or they won’t be able to stop the steal in 2026.
“Running from Trump is how you lose. Running with Trump is how you win,” he said.
TN Rep Tim Burchett (paraphasing), referencing MTG’s fight w/PT: You can fight him, but the end result is always the same.
Epps Wins w/ Trump
MTG Loses Trump fight
I hope more RINOs are primaried.
This was entirely predictable. The TN GOPe came out before the primary endorsing Van Epps because Gov Lee and former Rep Mark Green endorsed him. He’s an uninspiring candidate. I live in the 7th district. I voted for Jody Barrett in the primary who is someone who is closer to representing the mostly rural district. I saw nothing from Van Epps until the last week when things were looking grim for him. As far as I can tell Van Epps is going to be another Mark Green who was a supporter of the Ukraine war and taxpayers funding it endlessly. He was also one of the top insider traders in the House, he even beat Pelosi. Then he abandoned his term in August after less a year into the term. He had enough time though to sponsor a bill to fund his new business venture in Africa (maybe in Uganda?).
For me, Van Epps is on probation. He has to run again in 2026. I’m hoping Jody Barrett challenges him again.
Nashville….Blue?
I knew it had gone Blue, but this is the 1st time I’ve actually seen it depicted on a map of the State.
I’m not surprised, but it is sad.
Been that way for years. Chattanooga is the same.
Rest of the state?
Especially east of The Cumberland, them lefty dogs won’t get out of the fancy truck, much less hunt.
We don’t fear them, or give our consent to be governed by the likes of them.
Memphis is major blue, unfortunately.
Also corrupt beyond belief.
I’m a former 55 year resident.
My bad, meant to add Memphis too.
Thanks.
Nashville is going to be a great deal bluer. They just passed a 6 Billion dollar upgrade to the Mass Transit System that is under utilized now. They want it bigger and 24/7 so the criminals can move more freely. Much of that money will get into Democrat pockets to turn the state blue.
A few years ago, we toured the Jack Daniels operation in Tennessee. We were the only couple at the tasting table that we not moving there. Most were from a blue CA.
They were boomers looking to move to a state that was more affordable. Sad for TN that they are bringing their voting history with them.
Can’t wait for Florida to gerrymander let’s get er done DeSantis. Hey Tennessee gerrymander like Massachusetts. Have zero democratic districts. The only way to beat the communists is out cheat them.
Certainly can see where the Hollywood transplant crowd lives from looking at the map, rural Tennessee is common sense people with family values and do not want these interlopers here messing up their great state..
I hate Nashville! Said the democrat that lost the election. Great job to the people of Tennessee that saw through her BS and elected the right person.
Great result! Not even close, unless thousands more votes for Behn suddenly appear out of thin air.
A lot of predictors were saying this was going to be “razor-thin” and maybe a very bad night for MAGA. Sites such as NYP, which was consistently over the last few weeks saying it was “too close” and a coming “warning” for Trump. And yet it was not close. What were those people trying to do? Were they intentionally trying to depress the MAGA vote? What it really was is a foretaste of how badly a lot of prominent people want the House to flip Dem in the general election next year, and what they will do to make that happen.
Imagine having to spell your surname AND given name for others constantly. Aftyn Behn…sounds like a cruel joke.
Wonderful news.
Thank you Lord for prayers answered
Excellent win but the mid-terms await and the movement by young people toward socialism is undeniable. Wayne Root has an extremely interesting solution to help resolve the illegal immigrant problem:
“It’s just too hard for a few thousand ICE agents to roundup tens of millions of illegals. This country is too big, and illegals have too much help. There is an entire conspiracy of Democrat politicians, judges and communist organizations helping them evade deportation.
Here is my plan for President Trump.
This plan will work. Announce that ICE will no longer operate in blue cities and blue states. ICE will only conduct operations and raids in red cities and red states that cooperate with ICE.
Here is what happens next…

Just drop the apostrophe, and your comment will have no further problems.
I don’t see any plan to stop US taxpayer dollars going to blue states legally or illegally through NGO’s and other fraud.
Socialism “works” when they can get hold of millions of other people’s money.
We are in a populist cycle right now. She ran populist ads. The republican ran attack ads to scare people into showing up and voting. This race shouldn’t have been close. Whichever side most effectively embraces populism will win the midterms.
The voting patterns of Dems illustrate, I would argue, the awful realization that many well-fed, decently educated, well-housed Americans are basically very, very unhappy people and they wish, as psychological studies have revealed all along, that such folks often wish others to be unhappy as well.
Misery loves company is true. These people are no different from drinkers who spend years seeking out other drinkers, no matter they are strangers. They wish to prove to themselves there is “nothing wrong with them” so the line of other people who sit at the bar hour after hour, drink after drink, is reassuring to them. One day, of course, they no longer want others of any sort around them. They wish to be alone, drink alone.
This woman represents such people. Right now, she either is or pretends to be, a good-time girl, a party-animal with laughter in her conversations. She’s actually a lonely, bitter woman with no roots and she wishes to find company. Remember, she actually got elected to the TN House of Reps.
The disintegration of the nuclear family, the feeling of rootlessness among a huge % of both male and females of a certain age…with affluence ATTACHED to their nilihistic points of view…is on display politically everywhere we look.
Behn the democrat increased the vote by 18% over the November 2022 normal election. An increase of approximately 12,000 votes. The Dems spent an extra million dollars and turned out to cost $100 per extra vote. And still 16,000 votes shy of victory.
She could have won if she could have gotten the same Democrat turnout as November 2024.
Van Epps was a new face for the Republicans. Van Epps got 10% fewer votes than the Republican received in November of 2022 regular election. 12,000 votes less.
This election shows why it is important going forward to have paper ballots and same day voting. The Democrats are in striking distance with cheating. Without cheating Democrats have big problems and need more illegals voting or more phantom ballots. MAGA
