The House approved the measure in a 427-1 vote earlier Tuesday, with only Rep. Clay Higgins, R-La., opposing it.
Higgins seems to be the only one in D.C. with any brain cells left.
It’s amazing how fast the house can pass a “clean” bill when they want too. Now I wonder if the senate will add Ukraine funding to it to get it passed. /s

Trump is the only one who has done anything to correct the abuses and do cuts in decades. Hopefully he and congress will fix this as the new budget appropriations are passed.
There are other visa programs that need to be totally terminated. There is already movement on those.

50 year mortgage doesn’t have decent equity built up until year 15 or 20 at the earliest.
A house I bought in 1996ish for $85K (1/4 acre about 1250 SF) where I am as I type this is tax valued at about $350K now. It’s about 50 miles from Atlanta.
Fortunately, I bought a 12 acre country place in rural south GA for $80K about 10 or 11 years ago. I haven’t checked recently, but I’m sure it’s probably $200-250K. I do know we were offered twice cash what we paid 6 months after buying it.
This isn’t sustainable. Yes, it’s the uniparty. I don’t know how Trump can escape the multi decade trap they have laid for him.
I guess the only doable solution is a Depression x10. It’s not going to be passively fixed at the DC level. Out of debt is key. We have about $40k of a fixed on this house we 2nd mortgaged (had it paid off once) to pay off country place.
Youngsters need to hang on as best they can, try to stay out of debt, rent that broom closet with a window, and wait. Then get stuff for pennies on the dollar. That’s how land was bought up in Depression #1.
Or move farther out than you did. Fifty miles from Atlanta is no longer far enough out for cheaper land/housing.
Maybe if we didn’t bring in 50 million illegals, 51 million visa holders, and another 30+ million legal immigrants in the past 30 years, there’d be more affordable housing and everything else.

Just tuned in to the Duran, which I have not done since they started bashing PDJT. I like to keep track of Ukraine.
Things are not good for Ukraine and Europe is still on the path of making themselves bankrupt supporting Ukraine.
The most disturbing thing discussed is Lindsey Graham’s legislation to bring forth a bill to punish any country that does business with Russia. The Alexes see this as a worldwide embargo which will cost the U.S. all of the progress made with new trade agreements. Apparently President Trump is in agreement with Graham.
Ukrainian officials are in deep legal trouble as their corruption is being made known and at least one former Ukraine official has fled the country. Even so, the commentators think that PDJT will end up sending them money again.
So darn sad and maddening if true. Anyway, this is the way the rest of the world sees the U.S. It seems anti Trump is still their position. They just had to get their dig in.
