I would like to point out the great dangers of DC and NYC being served by three airports with air traffic controller understaffing.

Only a sweeping primary defeat of the useless RINOs and weak Republicans will work.
I don’t quite understand all of them. The assumable loan provision is interesting, but doesn’t work if the seller then has to negotiate new debt at higher rates as well as higher prices. It would certainly help where people want to move to smaller rented housing where the maintenance and repair and building insurance expense requirements are borne by the landlord. At lower interest rates for the buyer, Sellers would be able to ask higher prices.

Often the landlords moved up and can finance the sale themselves, so higher interest rates provide a nice annuity. Or, as noted, lower interest rates make higher sales price possible.

Our elections are a farce. Even the one that just occurred. There were voting machines that went down, bomb threats, people not allowed to vote, corrupted mail-in ballots, etc. I have no idea how much of that occurred and how it affected the elections, but these things should not occur.
So if the left can corrupt our elections, pad the census with illegals for additional representatives and control the courts do you actually think being more principled than they are will make a difference.

Don’t agree. The republicans stay defeated because they want to. They talk a good game, bluster and thunder that they are going to do “something.” That something never happens. On purpose. They wish to not upset the voters and lose their jobs so they do just enough to sound like they are fighting for America but in reality they fight for their jobs and cushy lifestyle. Term limits and reductions in benefits that they get including especially their own healthcare insurance is sorely needed to even the playing field and make them do their jobs.

Too may voters can’t be bothered to pay attention to their civic duty on the governance of their country, have no idea of the laws or the workings of the election systems or who is actually running for office and what they stand for..
We the people have to get more involved but that’s been said for decades and still people don’t care. Shame on all of those who ignore their duty as citizens to exercise their right to determine who governs for them.
I think that most of them agree with the democrats on all the important issues. They are mostly lawyers or otherwise in the professional classes, and those people lean left. Those who live in red states and want to run for office pretend to be conservative. Some play the fiscal conservative angle (Phil Gramm, Paul Ryan, Chip Roy), others play the strong-defense angle and talk a lot about Reagan (McConnell, Lindsey Graham), and still others play the religious conservative angle (Pence, Cruz, Lankford, Mike Johnson). But at the end of the day, they want what the democrats want. Both parties are controlled by globalists who want to destroy Western civilization, and thus the congressional GOP won’t lift a finger to stop this from happening.

During the Air Traffic controller Strike 1980-81, during President Reagan’s administration, military controllers were deployed … there were issues due to differences in level of experience and differences in procedural requirements. That being said, where ever there was an experienced FAA Controller available to mentor a Military Controller, they did just fine.
This may work temporarily due to numbers involved but the best solution is privatize the whole system … which of course will raise air travel costs to the consumer as airlines pass through the costs. This would still be the preferable solution … along side privatizing airport security.

Time has not proven the Republican Party is ever going to change and since Pres. Trump is busy accomplishing as much as he can for America and cannot run again for the Presidency, I don’t think he would show much interest in taking that huge task on.
It would have to be a massive revolt led by some very charismatic well known leadership and where would they be found. The time has passed for that issue to happen.

Just a FWIW bit: over on X, there’s been a huge national discussion about Tuesday among Republicans and Indies about why so many Trump voters didn’t show up, and why Indie swing voters went so hard against Repubs. Some of the posts were heartbreaking: self-employed and small business people were talking about their Obamacare exchange insurance policies going up 25% or more from already outrageous numbers, with policies for families running anywhere from $20-30,000 annually. 🤯 They are having to drop them of course and are hysterical and enraged.
Then some talked about their energy bills, others talking about what a mess their student loan situation is (and these were folks who had been trying diligently but simply are buckling financially under the strain.) so many heartbreaking posts from young people who say they have already given up all hope of being homeowners or having kids. 😥
My take: fair or not, good or not, the administration focus on foreign policy and immigration and no real progress on helping good hardworking people who are literally going under has really dampened support and enthusiasm. Administration MUST show empathy and understanding and offersome concrete solutions! Now. 🙏🤞

Let me add being from NJ. The dems shut down power plants for wind farms. Those wind farms were never built due to massive back lash from shore owners. So they voted 2 or 3 times to allow energy to be increased because the energy companies needed to go out of state to purchase electricity.
Of course this new Governor is going to go after those big bad energy companies. She’s a full on climate nut and unfortunately there are a lot of people in NJ that know nothing about these facts.

the next year it went to $1500.00/ month.
the year after that, $1800.00/month.
this was not an everything policy, just a high deductible,
major medical and catastrophic hospitalization policy – no dental, no vision, no drug coverage.
i kept it for 5 years after the ocare debacle.
last premium before i dropped it was a little OVER $2000.00/month.
paid almost $100,000.00 for a policy i never used because i was always under the deductible
on the 2 or 3 times i sought care.
it is NOT comforting to know that i paid for those folks now complaining
that their subsidized health insurance policies now costs a little more.

Need to look at the nuances of the language being used because the Democrats are trying to extend the ACA Credits for more than 1-year.
If the ACA Credits are expanded for 1-Calendar Year … that actually spans 2-Fderal Fiscal Years and leaves the ACA Credits in place through the March 2027 or Reconciliation assessment period for FY2027 … just in time to make the ACA a major campaign issue for the 2028 Election.
Even if it did, no one will do a darn thing to try and change anything. Mamdani will just sail on doing what he wants to with little consequences. Remember, these are voters and political leaders who don’t care about illegal manuevering or influence or breaking election laws to get what they want and see nothing wrong that they think it’s ok to murder a political opponent. Why should they care when no consequences of any merit ever happen.

I have been thinking based on the $150 million donation to military pay that we might in this shut down have a moment in time to force the populace of the U.S. of A. to show what they truly believe. I suggest we crowd source the pay of the military and SNAP only. Allow all donations to be considered prepaid taxes next April and deducted from the tax bill or to generate a refund. I postulate that the military would be paid for at least a month but SNAP would fail and even if a billionaire or 2 did get SNAP funded, the number of donors to the military pay would dwarf the donors to SNAP. I myself not a rich man would chip in 3k or so to the military getting paid. How hard would it be to set up a site and make it happen? I have long wished I could designate how my taxes are spent. And just occurring to me, set up a site for the pay of congress critters and see how much that gets in donations. Probably be swamped with $.02 donations to make it go red!

The Commander-in-Chief probably needs to allow lower level commanders to grant compassionate financial leave to non-nuclear, non-vessel military personnel who could rake leaves, drive for Uber, DoorDash or Domino’s, or help out at Amazon for needed money.
