This problem, of “trafficked sanctuary dwelling Biden Auto-Pen special immigrants” is not unique to VA. This will be the next pressure point President Trump will have to handle when the other governors start wailing …. perfect opportunity to do the trade off the President is required to do by law …. selective shut downs of DOGE identified waste to generate cash to pay the immigrant Bills.
No sympathy here. The distribution of food stamps is one of the most corrupt fraudulent uses of tax dollars. Now they are being freely given to illegals who quickly learn how to scam the food stamp system and get cash. Legal American citizens who really need the food who use them as legitimate aid for their families are being pushed into the back of the line.
Let VA figure out how to fix this and start by refusing the illegals food stamps, feed them temporarily with govt food distribution until they are escorted out of the country, deporting those who are illegally grabbing the food stamps by being here against the laws of the land. Real citizens are being hurt by the mass invasion and flood of people using our benefits with the blessing of the former Dem run govt. and blue states.

People are struggling because the dems shut down the government, not because Trump is building a ballroom with private donations. The White House needs a formal ballroom so a tent does not need to be pitched on the lawn for every large assembly. It will be a beautiful addition and a tourist attraction as well, no doubt.

Democrats in Virginia who control the state House and Senate have called a special session supposedly so that they can redistrict Virginia into a mostly Democrat. Representing state; x is going wild with people pointing out that it’s a dirty trick to pull lieutenant Governor Sears who must preside off of the campaign trail. National political observers are speculating that that’s why the Democrats won’t come to the table on opening the federal government. Because keeping those federal workers who almost all live in VA in such desperate straits will lead them to vote for spamberger. So this is growing into a much much bigger story than anyone saw coming. Don’t believe the polls. The race in Virginia is s neck and neck…

EDIT: Just for perspective – the U.S. military’s total annual personnel budget is approximately $192 billion, which breaks down to about $16 billion per month for fiscal year 2024.
