Just returned from Early Voting here in Collin County, TX (City of Allen).
Two items:
FIRST, the Issues….
If you live in Texas get out and VOTE. there are major TX Constitutional Amendments on the Ballot that Tax Payers need to see and vote upon.
Several dealing with Favorable adjustments to Property Taxes and adjustments for veterans as well as those who suffered a wild fire related calamity.
One dealing with Mexican Border Counties that INCREASE Taxable Property Values for property owners who have allowed border walls to be built on their land. Seems we have Counties punishing these property owners by adding the value of the Border Wall structures into the Taxable value of their property.
One dealing with codifying parental primacy over the state.
One dealing with codifying the the requirement to be a US Citizen to Vote.
The TX RNC has done a crappy job getting out the vote by advertising the election and a crappier job explaining the amendments …. note if one searches on-line you have to go 2-3 levels deep into the search to get beyond DEMOCRAT Party talking points …. so much for social media platform impartiality.
SECOND, the voting process:
For all the advertising related to counting “hand completed” ballots, by some TX Counties, my BS Flag is attached to the flag poll and ready to be raised.
In Collin County the ONLY change to the “Voting Process” is the replacement of the very helpful …. stand-alone …. ballot completion station with a BLACK INK Pen and ballot printed in number 8-minus font. Otherwise, one still feeds their “hand completed” ballot into a LAPTOP COMPUTER, which converts your “hand completed” ballot into a BAR CODE.
There is still NO FEED BACK to the voter concerning the laptops bar code conversion to validate if my “hand competed” ballot was properly converted by the laptop.
Now for the $64,000 Question” Which ballot is actually “counted by hand”???
The one the voter completed with a Black Ink Pen??
… or … a ballot printed by the computer using the Laptop Bar Code interpretation??
Note: the reports on the new rules does not clarify which ballot is used for the “hand count”.

Nothing infuriated me more then the communist state of Washington driving properly taxes to outrageous levels. Fortunately, with the medical costs associated with my wife’s sudden death earlier this year, and reducing part of my pension, I’m able to get just below the maximum allowable income level to qualify for “low income” seniors property tax reduction. Its not much but any money not going to the communist state is a win.

If I, as a regular citizen, allow a fugitive to stay in my house to avoid arrest. I think I would be charged for a number of crime. However, a city that provides Sanctuary for fugitives to avoid arrest is OK.

Coast Guard surges to Rio Grande in new border security mission, Operation River Wall
Dubbed Operation River Wall, the Coast Guard deployment aims to counter the influx of drugs into the U.S., and to deter and interdict illegal immigrants along the 260-mile stretch of the river that is part of the U.S. border, the service announced Monday.

A “dumb wall” would be just putting up a barrier and hoping no one could get over, under or around it. The Romans didn’t rely on that. First, though their wall was easy to cross, it created a visible frontier that any northern tribes would be aware of and thus know they were crossing without permission into Roman territory. The occasional head on a spike, evidence of which was found at Vindolanda, was a primitive warning to the illiterate tribes to the north that maybe proceeding further was a bad idea. That’s what today we’d call psychological operations, or “psy-ops.”

Oh I very much figured that’s exactly what they did.
I was once caught by GP’s haste to publish “breaking news” only to find out the story changed or wasn’t originally reported accurately. I found its usually best to let Trump post something in Truth Social when any article is published on any website that claims – from an unnamed source – that President Trump is reversing a former pledge he made by 180 degrees. The claim is almost always wrong.
I read Gateway Pundit every day, sometimes twice, since by evening they have updated any articles published earlier in the day that were proven false or seriously inaccurate through readers or other online sources especially official White House sources whom are named in the article.
The Hofts are simply a bit quick on the trigger and we have to read their website with reserve caution…
