Palm Beach International Airport is used by Air Force One when President Trump travels home to his Mar-a-Lago estate in Florida. According to FBI Director Kash Patel, a hunting stand was discovered in the woods near the airport with a direct line of sight to where President Trump disembarks.
Many well-known leftists and Democrats have been ramping up the political rhetoric in support of violence. The possibility of the stand being located in the area for another assassination attempt cannot be dismissed. Thankfully the Secret Service discovered this issue during a proactive proximity sweep of the area.
VIA FOX NEWS – The U.S. Secret Service uncovered a suspicious hunting stand with a direct line of sight to where President Donald Trump exits Air Force One at the Palm Beach International Airport, officials told Fox News Digital.
Agents found the stand on Thursday, and the FBI is now leading an investigation into the discovery. FBI Director Kash Patel said the hunting stand has not yet been connected to any individual.
“Prior to the President’s return to West Palm Beach, USSS discovered what appeared to be an elevated hunting stand within sight line of the Air Force One landing zone,” Patel told Fox News Digital. “No individuals were located at the scene. The FBI has since taken the investigatory lead, flying in resources to collect all evidence from the scene, and deploying our cell phone analytics capabilities.”
USSS chief of communications Anthony Guglielmi also confirmed that the organization is “working closely” with the FBI as well as law enforcement in Palm Beach County. (more)

There is only commercial and industrial properties around PBI in West Palm Beach. The nearest hunting areas are at least 25 miles away.

Those woods are just south of the airport. There was a gun range in the SW corner, but no longer there. I believe relocated in the 70s. So if the hunting stand isn’t new, it’s gotta be 50 years old. Right.
PBI is a nice little airport, and it’s only got 3 runways. 360 line-of-sight should be secured, for ALL of them.

Yes. This stand must be new. I was being facetious. Tree stands, if not taken down seasonally, only last a year or 2.
The strapping and wood aren’t gonna “grow” with the tree. They can be erected in a few hours, depending on complexity.
Tree stands are great for hunting wildlife, but even deer are more wary as a stand becomes more visible with seasonal defoliation. If you’re hunting a human, however, your stand will stick out like a sore thumb once the leaves start to fall.
Looks like this stand is in an oak tree. Deciduous trees lose their leaves later in FL, but they DO lose them.

The only woods l can see directly are over the dual carriage way known as Southern.
Air Force One has its own corner off the runway, next to the Border Control Office ( this is for all the private jets that come in.) You can see Air Force One from Southern and from the inner road next to the perimeter fence, l have driven up there many times to see her and taken my British friends to see this marvellous sight. It is always heavily patrolled and they have a dozen or more yellow school buses parked up next to the perimeter fence to prevent anyone ramming the fence.
On our local FB page, it was reported yesterday that there was an FBI operation going on there and all roads around PBI were shut. One of commentators reported that a body had been found in a canal nearby.
Regardless of what kind of property it was found on, it cannot possibly be in a rural area where hunting might be permitted, and certainly not pointing in the direction of an airport and within range of a rifle. Somebody was up to no good and needs to be identified and caught and put behind bars. It was a good catch. Seems the President’s security might finally be improving.

I guess anything is possible, but I would be surprised if there is not constant satellite surveillance of this area. Satellite surveillance is probably what caused the secret service to check the stand out from the ground.

Almost certainly just what it’s called ! It’s a hunting stand for deer. If it’s on airport property then it’s poaching. If it’s on private property then I don’t know what they plan on doing about it. You’re allowed to hunt from tree stands and hunt on your property or with permission from the owner.

How can it be okay to hunt near an airport when it is illegal to operate a drone within a certain radius of an airport – it certainly could be legal AT ALL to be hunting near an airport but this is not someone who cares about following the law if they intend to hurt our precious President!

I live in West Palm Beach. The city has sensors scattered all over that can detect the locations of discharged firearms. When these incidences occur, they often make the local news reports. Yes, it is illegal to do so within city limits, yet surprisingly enough, successful arrests of perpetrators have happened in some cases.

My Google Earth shows President Trumps plain on the tarmac on the south side of the airport. To the southeast of that, across a highway and a river is a little patch of woods which appears to be private ground. From the nearest tree to PT’s plane is about 565 yards. That’s a long shot even for the best of hunters and probably not a slam dunk for a professional either.

Thanks. That’s what I see too. The measured distance is 550 to 600 yards depending what tree you measure from. A typical 30-06 round will drop 6 feet across that distance. Crosswinds become a huge issue at that range. Variable air density changes from river to runway become a big issue. This is 1/3 of a mile, 6 football fields stacked end to end. Line of sight isn’t the end all be all … this is a low percentage shot, particularly from a tree stand.

Assuming 500-600 yards is accurate, whoever setup the tree stand would have ranged the distances and likely set the stand up in the dark. Match cell data with the tree stand and/or parking areas near the stand and compare cell data from local long-distance ranges supporting these distances. Small potatoes considering the FBI’s J6 data collection ability and rapid action on thousands of cell phones in a much larger area.

My little brother and I used to spend many hours at a neighbor’s treehouse (they encouraged us to use it – can you imagine nowadays, it would be unthinkable). The two sons of the neighbors were grown up, away at college. The treehouse was perched up in the branches of this magnificent oak tree whose branches – I guess you would say the canopy – spread out in all directions, partly over their lawn and partly over the grassy meadow (which they also owned) which was about 50 feet below the branches. There was a hole in the floor of the treehouse, you would scramble up to that from the rope ladder. Hoisting yourself upwards on the rope ladder as it dangled over the meadow got easier. We were about 8 and 10 years old.
Picturing some of those “agents” kneeling for George Floyd in 2020, I don’t see how they could have climbed up there to investigate that stand . . . but of course, those people are no longer with the FBI . . . I just don’t see how they could NOT find one trace of DNA evidence left behind by whomever put up that stand.

Looking at this stand it does not appear to be a commercial deer stand which are either “climbers” built to climb the side of a straight tree trunk, or “ladders”, a ladder with a seat at the top built to strap to the side of a relatively straight tree.
This is more custom built for the branch, with crossed legs screwed to either side of the branch supporting a platform for the viewer/shooter.
That alone is enough to tell me the location and the view are not accidental, but chosen to give a view of the disembarcation.
