Google’s subsidiary social media platform, YouTube, has agreed to pay Donald Trump $24.5 million in a settlement resulting from the 2021 lawsuit filed over deplatforming.
President Trump will use the settlement funds to build the White House ballroom; somewhat of an irony all things considered.
Wall Street Journal – YouTube has agreed to pay $24.5 million to settle a 2021 lawsuit that President Trump brought against the company and its chief executive over its suspension of Trump’s account after that year’s riot at the U.S. Capitol, according to court papers.
The settlement makes YouTube, which is owned by Alphabet’s Google, the final Big Tech company to settle a trio of lawsuits Trump brought against social-media platforms in the months after he left the White House. Meta Platforms agreed in January to pay $25 million, most of it to a fund for Trump’s presidential library, and X agreed to pay $10 million, much of it going directly to Trump, The Wall Street Journal previously reported.
Google executives were eager to keep their settlement smaller than the one paid by rival Meta, according to people familiar with the matter. Trump’s share of the settlement—$22 million—will go to the nonprofit Trust for the National Mall, earmarked for the construction of a Mar-a-Lago-style ballroom Trump is building at the White House, according to the court documents. The White House has said the ballroom, expected to cost $200 million, would be funded by donations from Trump and “other patriot donors.” (read more)

Have to love the way these suits go in favor of our President! Doubtless, they’ve learned nothing, but it’s going for a good purpose. That ballroom will be gorgeous!
Love the meme.
Our President should keep every penny for himself.. why give to the US? It is not appreciated. F these Crap Weasels.
He’s spent the last decade giving to the US. He can’t help himself.
Plus, it has the added benefit of cementing the tech “masters” malfeasance into history. Since that money is being used to fund the ballroom, the money’s source will be part of the official record.
The man loves his country.
He doesn’t even take his well earned salary.
He does not profit from office.
He just wants to serve.
Can he please use some of the funds to vet and hire Conservative, experienced attorneys?
Or setting up a private, secured backdoor channel direct to both Tulsi and Trump with Sundance.
Money ain’t everything but, perhaps let’s be optimistic and during the meeting at the white house with President Trump and the techs, they’ve apologized as well. Actually knowing our president, he probably thank them for helping to get him elected.
I’m sorry to say this but as far as Google is concerned $24.5 Million is chump change. It will not will leave a mark financially or morally.
The irony of it!
If you have ever been to the White House you’ll know that the ballroom is similar to some of the other large rooms and not overly gaudy. Compared to the Obama library it will be almost traditional.
Much more suitable then a tent on the lawn. I’m sure it will be known (at least unofficially) as the Trump Ballroom. After all there is the Truman balcony and Lincoln bedroom.
Trump should donate the money to J6 victims to help them recover from the FBI setup scam.
I think he’s been doing that, or has done it.
Admission of guilt of what they did and when will Congress step up ?
Now let the $$ gates open for those others who have been de-platformed as well. Precedence maybe! 🤔
Many Republicans were shadow banned or de-platformed for questioning the integrity of the 2020 election and discussing political issues such as alleged government corruption, the alleged connection between the deep-state and censorship, etc.
And how many of them were subsequently inappropriately investigated?
