If you are talking about Erika’s speech, I completely agree. I was amazed at her speech. It was probably the most moving speech I have ever heard. Her pain was visceral, and I really felt for her. But she is also a strong woman, and that was also very much in evidence. When she forgave her husband’s killer, it was almost too much to bear to see her pain.

When she stopped about half way through her walk off of the stage, turned, looked across the stadium and up, you know she was looking at her Charlie’s giant picture and thinking something very touching, profound and strong.

I hope everyone seeking a church home will find the one that fits their needs. Will the thirst of all the newly found flocks have their thirst quenched? I met a man this evening at a Charlie rally that was telling me how since moving here he has not found a good fit for him and his family. His chief complaint, they were all too progressive for him.
I recently found out a local church women’s group was disbanding after 20 years of service to the community. The older ladies can no longer keep it going and not enough interest from the younger ones to carry the torch. It was heartbreaking to hear. I am hoping the ones Charlie are sending can step up, but each generation is different w/what they value and need from church life and fellowship.

I did see somewhere that the rifle used was a Mauser K 98 chambered in 8mm. But someone swapper out the barrel to utilize the 30-06. In doing so, removed the serial number, making it untraceable…..Who does things like that?……
Serial numbers weren’t required until the 1960s. Some manufacturers used them anyway, but there certainly wasn’t any standardized location or method for affixing them. In those days, replacing a serialized barrel with an unserialized one wouldn’t be strange at all, especially when changing to a different chamber.
Boy, we watched the entire thing on YouTube, and it lasted about 5 hours (+/-).

I am heartbroken that POTUS just could not control his ego and impulses.
The Kirk Memorial Speech was written by one or many , perhaps some input from the president as well. It was scripted for a reason. This was a defining moment for the movement and Trump’s speech was suppose to bring the hours long revival and celebration of Charlie’s life full circle and drive home the greater takeaways for a nation in mourning and an organization regrouping for a greater cause than just one man, Kirk or Trump.
Instead , he wandered off script too many times and made it about him. His accomplishments, 2020 stolen election, tariffs, et al. The constant insertion of his ego disrupted the flow of such a stellar and inspiring speech which blunted its impact.

Since the memorial service was being held in Charlie’s honor and not theirs, maybe these two speakers were being modest and wanted the focus to be more on Charlie and Christ rather than making it about themselves (and their holiness in a “look at me, I’m holy!” sort of way) and Christ.
More then just the revival aspect, he was off beat in other ways. Not to BLAME anyone else, but perhaps gate keeper Susie Wiles has played a role in impacting his state of mind surrounding this tragedy. Maybe he’s not being properly kept abreast of the environment and state of mind the country has been in. It’s as if he went in kind of missing something, which is odd.

Second, if you are going to give long AI quotes, it is only honest to give the AI chat bot you quoted. You made it sound like there is one AI “god” when you said “AI agrees with you.”
There are many AI models. For example, the Google developed and run model will most likely reflect more progressive ideas than many of the others.
But all the AI chatbots (what you refer to as your AI authority) are nothing but garage in and garbage out unless care is taken, which at this time it is not in most of them when referencing topics that are opinion. Even when referencing factual information, AI bots sometimes give incorrect information.
Charlie Kirk stood for humans discussing ideas. He did not present long AI quotes about ideas as facts. You would do well to follow his lead.
If you are unsure of your ideas and so need to rely on an AI model, you would do better to develop yourself instead looking to a computer for “truth.”

When ever I use AI on a subject I know nothing about, it sounds rational and informative. EVERY time, I have asked it about something I do know a lot about…it has been wrong, misguided or deceptive. When I call it out, it apologizes and adjusts its answer. Just enough that I don’t trust anything from it….just like my thoughts on anything from current democrat leaders.

I don’t know if you’re a troll or whatever but, I agree with what you said. I do think PDJT’s actions are more important than his words and if you have to take those into account. However, I thought his speech today – sounded more like a campaign rally at times – very unfortunate and inappropriate.
When he said he hates his enemies, the whole thing took a downturn. And, I totally understand where he’s coming from but that was not the time and not the place.
I don’t think he is a “troll”, but rather just reported some facts. Some people walked out while President Trump was giving his speech. As Trump’s speech shifted focus to topics beyond Kirk, including crime and health and particularly as he veered into topics like autism, crowd sizes, and attacks on political opponents., attendees began leaving the arena. Many had waited in line for hours to get in, but some did not stay for the entire speech. Hundreds started leaving as Trump’s remarks became increasingly political.
It was not the President’s finest hour.

I agree, that was both unnecessary and unhelpful. It lowered the quality of his speech, yes, disappointing.
NO it was an honest expression of his feelings and it highlighted that he looks up to Charlie and Erika’s example of faith. He was not going to claim he was as magnanimous as they with a fake (for him) expression of forgiveness. Let him grow in faith, it takes time.
I have to admit, I was physically cringing a few times when he was speaking as well. Seemed to fall back into political rally “mode” by default.
With most of the other speakers it was a lot like a religious revival, which can be inspiring.

The 2024 election was a large part of the reason Charlie Kirk was on the campuses. He was there now, in part, for the midterms. Charlie Kirk was heavily invested in getting President Trump elected. I don’t know about you but it would be a big burden to bare that Charlie lost his young life in this pursuit and not him (PDJT). I cannot imagine what President Trump, knowing he cares so much for this country, is feeling right now. I took his comments on the success of the administration to personally soften the blow of losing this young man and that Charlie’s efforts enable so much to be accomplished by him, RFK jr, Tulsi Gabbard, and all the rest. Charlie worked very hard to make that happen. His sacrifice enabled so much to be accomplished for us all.
I promised myself I would turn it off if it became about himself and not Charlie. I watched it until he started talking about his accomplishments in between comments on Charlie’s.
I was so disappointed because I was saying over and over to myself “ please Mr. President, do not make it about you”. This is a memorial about Charlie Kirk, a beloved man of the people. I turned it off after President Trump started speaking his own political talking points more than once.
PDJT is still a great president, but he needs to vary his comments from time to time. Today was not the time or place to interject talk of things like tariffs and such.
Having said all that, I am so glad he came to the memorial service and especially touched by a clip I saw of him comforting Erika at the end.
Charlie loved President Trump and so do I. Nobody is perfect.
Charlie Kirk blended the Christian/Spiritual, his political, his family, and his American Patriot aspects of his life seamlessly together – he did not compartmentalize his approach to his presentations that I have so far noticed.
He would answer specific questions specifically, and he could stay on topic for long stretches because he knew so much about so many things… and if appropriate – if/when the Spirit moved him – he would blend in other aspects of Truth to clarify, interconnect, & confirm his opinion-position or to cross-reference his references.
I don’t think he was offended by POTUS’s speech… because he did the same; weaving it all together is a creative thing.
We’ve all been (deliberately for purpose) *programmed to compartmentalize* our thinking, and every aspect of our lives from every other aspect; including our very Being.

I went to a Charlie Kirk candle light vigil this evening. The woman that put it together tried to get it on the local FB page for the town, for some reason, it kept getting removed, go figure, so she tried email. Over 100 people showed up w/less than 2-3 days notice w/word of mouth. Short, sweet, simple, but powerful. I remember the days of the phone tree, it was like that. I do love genuine Americans.
It was at the town hall, they were worried about the flower beds being trampled on. Can’t make this stuff up.
Over 60,000 people were in that stadium. As Erika Kirk spoke with such sincerity, you could have heard a pin drop. Over my many years, I have never before heard a more powerful speaker.
