Charlie Kirk in my opinion is this centuries, this generations MLK Jr.
Charlie Kirk held lively and spirited debates. He engaged people and challenged their minds at the epicenter of our children’s liberal indoctrination centers.
He worshipped and he preached the word of God and Jesus Christ. He had a beautiful family and he loved his country. You may have disagreed with him, maybe perhaps he offended you but that is all in civil discourse.
Charlie Kirk died by an assassins bullet just like King while making a difference in people’s lives.
He was silenced for his beliefs and dreams just like King, he
He was a Republican, like King
He preached about God the almighty like king and wanted peace.
And this isn’t a slight to King

This tragic event may well turn out to be this generations MLK, Jr.
Unfortunately, MLK, Jr.s message” Of not be judged by the color of their skin, but the content of their character” has been long forgotten.
Seems our society has PROGRESSED to be more about Identity Politics rather than character. The leftist and Establishments Media has seen to that.
Character doesn’t seem to matter that much if we get what we want.
I hope we will not continue to follow in that direction, but follow MLK Jrs dream and Charlie Kirk’s message of open discussion and debate founded in honesty and religion.
Charlie’s death may be a similar moment, but Charlie himself would be horrified at being compared to MLK, Jr. – at least the real one, not the beatified after death one.
You really couldn’t help yourself. Unlike you, MLK Jr wasn’t perfect. Most of us don’t expect it.

I just noticed that President Trump is sending resources in to fight crime in Memphis. Apparently the governor and mayor support this-Democrats all.
Well, maybe this is good and I hope it works out.
I remember during Covid the Covid task force met with state officials to see what resources they needed.
Maybe do the same with cities. Have a crime wave task force to meet with cities that would welcome federal resources to help get crime out of cities.
I would expect cities like Chicago, NY, Dallas, Houston, San Francisco may decline so it would really show how corrupt their city/state governments are.

Someone I know to be a leftist posted an NPR article on President Trump’s interview in which he said St. Louis should be next.
I guess I’m sadistic enough that I had to look.
It was about half and half, more openly pro-Trump people saying yes we need this than I expected.
But the sheer venom, the eagerness to offer nothing useful to the conversation other than to find an excuse to insult, name-call, or imagine that they have found President Trump to be wrong about something. The vitriol. The emotion. The sickness. Such virulence.

Rather that teaching that we all have differing opinions, or that we can respectfully disagree, or God forbid actually engage in debate then shake hands, instead these professors use their position to indoctrinate young minds to their own way of thinking and don’t allow differing ideas.
