A remarkable set of circumstances unfolding as internet sleuths and researchers focus on the FBI information about the suspect in the Charlie Kirk assassination.
Given the detailed pictures, videos and descriptions of the suspected shooter, people are now scouring the Utah social media networks and identifying people who fit the visual profile.
It should be noted the Utah DPS is asking people not to make presumptions as the investigation continues. However, several people are pointing to a previous leftist LGBTQ+ advocate who angrily debated Charlie Kirk and holds a remarkable similarity to the suspect. WATCH @1:03 prompted:

From another person’s post. We see the video of a person going off a 12 foot roof to the ground. No rifle yet they found a rifle in the woods??? So exactly who did the shooting?
Look again.
The Mauser 98 30.06 found in the woods with the engraved bullets about trans and fascists and was obviously planted earlier. The shooter did not leave his rifle on the roof, so when he jumped off the roof the rifle had to have been in his backpack. So the shooter’s rifle was an AR or another rifle that could be broken down and carried in a backpack.
You need to look closer to what he has in his hands as he jumps off that upper window ledge –

a few notes/observations.
earlier someone stated this was not a vintage ww2 era rifle, but rather a modern long rifle with the Mauser action. That changes a few things, if that is true regarding some of the points I made in my assessments.
so lets start from there and then I will reply to the rifle being “seen” during his building jump.
a. regardless that this is a vintage ww2 Mauser or a more modern long rifle with a Mauser action, it would be essentially the same length. anywhere between 40-50 inches. No Mauser action type rifle that I know of can be broken down. That makes it a very difficult weapon to conceal. Based on the time of day, and angle of sun shadows I place the shooter’s height at approximately 5’8″ to 6’2″. I also made some relative height calculations comparing his profile to the steps he was climbing earlier. Even at 6’2″ it is very difficult to conceal a 40 inch rifle end to end. Even more so, at the upper end of a long range model Mauser action bolt action in the 50 inch length. It’s basically almost 2/3 of the height of the person, and almost twice as wide as his broadest area of upper torso. This shooter was athletic built, but not heavy, more like what you would expect from someone who is an endurance runner, or swimmer, or mountain biker. That sort of physique. Again, this makes hiding a concealing a 40-50 inch rifle very difficult. Some have proposed he hide it inside his jeans and up through his shirt. That MIGHT be possible, based on reports that he used a dark towel to wrap the weapon in. This also matches some observations that he was walking with a limp in earlier video just before the shooting occured. Which might indicate that he was concealing this long rifle before he made his way to the roof in this way.
2.However, I playing the video of him sprinting across the roof to the edge and hanging and then jumping, I can see no evidence of a long rifle. Nor do I see any abnormal gait one would expect to observe if he is running with a rifle down his jeans and up his shirt. Try it …it’s not easy to go full out and run normally with a heavy bolt action rifle at 40 and definitely not at 44-50 inches in length. He was definitely not carrying it. The video is very poor in resolution, so there might be some pixels that are lost to image correction. When he begins his kneel down and then leap from the edge of the building at no time do I see the rifle. However, what I clearly see is that the very first few steps and all the steps from that point of impact, there is a definite limp in his gait. Does this mean he was injured. Very possible, by my references he just did a drop of 10-12 feet. from bottom of his feet to the ground. Some of that impact was perhaps softened by the grassy ground, but even if we are conservative he would be about 150-180 pounds based on estimates from several videos. That’s a great deal of force to absorb. He was wearing converse that are not built to absorb that kind of energy. I believe he develops an injury, perhaps a sprained ankle or even perhaps broken ankle from that drop. It’s possible he only sustained a minor ankle sprain that only momentarily altered his gait. But its clear to me he has got some issues with one of his legs. That might be the result of a rifle down his jeans and up his shirt, yes, but you don’t see this before…he was holding a very good pace across the roof top just earlier.
and all of this really brings up a really important question: why would he want to take such a cumbersome long rifle with him? Was he not confident it was untraceable to him? certainly leaving it in the wooded area nearby he had to know it would be found. So why bother. Again, this leads me to believe he did not leap from that building with a rifle. I believe it was passed to someone else,
these are just pure speculative opinions to be clear.
here is what we are going to find out.
they will run ballistics of the round…this will provide a match to the weapon. then we will know for certain if the rifle found in the wooded area was the rifle used to kill Charlie.
we are also going to find out based on interviews with the shooter how he got the rifle to the roof without anyone noticing. AND if there are other people involved in moving the rifle before, during and after the shot. We will corroborate that information based also on video evidence and other methods of collection.
it is too early to make definitive about how he did all of this. It’s possible that occam’s applies: he got lucky and managed to conceal the weapon in and out inside his clothing coupled with the possibility that the video and images we are seeing are too low resolution to give the rifle an actual shape and silhouette.
lastly, I have only recently learned that a suspect has been arrested. This is going to be a very easy slam dunk case, but it will be successful if and only if there is forensic evidence tying him to the ballistics connection to the rifle AND with eye witnesses who can place him at the scene, and other witnesses who can testify that he had motivations and perhaps even talked about killing Charley. If the case is based on circumstantial evidence and no direct eye witness accounts and concrete evidence that the rifle found was the rifle used and that he can be tied to it, there is a non zero chance this guy will not be found guilty.
lastly, I wish I had more confidence in the FBI. I really do. I can’t help myself thinking they are going to screw this up.

Another issue of concern to me, tho it NEEDS DETAILED analysis, not my conjecture. The video clip showing the crowd ducking as they hear the rifle, and the video clip of the ” suspect shooter ” running from the roof. The timing appears to show the suspect start his sprint even as the crowd is ducking from the sound of the shot – awful fast – or slow – reflects on someone’s part???
Just offering an opinion, but I would assume that this type of thing would be something he scouted out days in advance. He didn’t just go to the event, start walking around looking for somewhere to do the shoot from. I would guess in his scouting, he would have had the rifle with him, possibly even hiding it there in place at that time.. IE, he didn’t take the rifle with him to the shoot, it was already in place.
It was reported by students that someone was seen around the area and even on the roof 2 weeks prior. So the rifle could have been placed there. Also my viewing of him arriving at the edge of the roof, he dropped the rifle in the gutter? and I didn’t see him carrying a rifle when he was running.
I too worry about the FBI screwing this case up.
Another important factor is that he arrived rather early, almost 4 hrs before the shooting (8:29 a.m.). So what could he have been doing during this time? OK, the investigation reveals that he brought a change of clothing. Great! So, he has time to change. But it’s challenging still to understand, other than looking at the angles on the rooves, what he could be doing all that time?
One possibility would be that after attending to the aforementioned, and with possibly 3 hrs to go before the shooting, he was there to coordinate with others. Could it have been something so mundane as to secure his choice of parking locations?
In sum, only dark scenarios could explain why he was there that early.
Once you have seen obvious proof of decoys such as ‘the old guy,’ and then the ‘ big blond walrus’ of a guy who claimed responsibility so as to let Charlie’s security detail evacuate safely, you begin to see the outlines of an operation full of diversionary tactics.
I certainly do hope the forensic analyses match up.
Just FYI, if this rifle was a customized M98, it could have an interrupted thread shank, which would allow the barrel to be removed and stowed, or it could have a short barrel. Until we see the actual weapon, everything is speculation.
I will say this. Looking at the video of the shooting, it was obvious that the bullet that hit Charlie Kirk was one of significant energy. The swelling seen upon the impact in his neck/shoulder area is indicative of a large temporary wound channel, which in that location would have shredded his carotid artery, and it would be virtually impossible to stop blood loss.
Keep this in mind too; Charlie Kirk was a moderate voice. Moderate. They killed him for it. These people on the left are not interested in debate. They want anyone who disagrees with them dead, and the political class who represent them, and the media who support them, are giving them permission slips for increasing this activity.

Did you observe on a phone or large computer screen? It was reported that they found the rifle in the woods wrapped in a dark towel. He has that in his hands in the video.
I saw him bend down and put something long in the rain gutter, climb down, and before jumping he reached up to the gutter and pulled the long object from the rain gutter and then stood to the ground with it.

If you zoom or look at it on a large screen it is obvious he sets something long down before he jumps and you see it again as he drags it off the roof, and again as he gets his footing and takes off.
And then he ran to the woods, reassembled the gun, wrapped in a towel and proceeded with his escape.
I’ll give the new FBI some credit here.. they produce their bullshit in days rather than in weeks like we are used to.

I’m not sure how easy or hard it might be to break down a Mauser 98 and how fast someone could do it….occams razor would suggest that the shooter would not break down the rifle immediately after execution of the shot, and if the shooter did break down the rifle, why not just throw it in his backpack and discard it later at some distant location…..given that as an operating assumption, it would make sense that the image you see of what the shooter appears to be carrying as he jumps from the roof is the weapon used wrapped in a towel or blanket. some quick google research says that the overall length of the Mauser 98 is between 39-44inches depending on the variant. Given that, the length would be slightly longer than the average males leg (hip to heel). It is hard to tell from the video footage provided if the item the shooter carried is that length or not. Absent footage of greater clarity it is at least plausible that the item he was carrying as he jumped off the roof was the weapon used.
IMO, A Mauser is a heavy, hundred plus year old design that would never be chosen for a climb to and from a roof. Can a Mauser be accurate? Yes, but they were rather loose, and well worn. Not a rifle I would want for a one time 200 yard shot.
Despite all those claiming he aimed for the neck to make a guaranteed kill shot, I disagree. I think he went for the head shot and because he was shooting down, which always causes a low hit, he missed and hit the neck.
An AR can be taken down to the two major components and easily placed in a large enough backpack. However, after leaving the event, he clearly is walking oddly because of the rifle down his leg. The butt of the rifle is what is causing his cell phone to bulge in his pants.
Concur, from that distance (200-250 meters) with that type of weapon, the shooter most likely was aiming center mass (chest) or head and factors such as trigger squeeze, breathing etc casued round strike to impact in the neck.
It appeared to bounce off of the top of his vest and went right into his neck. No recovery from that.
Just for clarity…I took a distance measurement using google measure distance function and the shot he took is closer to 135 yards than the 200 they keep saying on the news….200 yards would be almost off the opposite side of the building.

Ironically, at least until in 2018, a Google pic shows there was a full grown tree that would have obscured the shot. A later pic in 2023 shows that tree gone and replaced with 3-4 foot sapling.
Nope it was IMHO clearly in the dark towel when he jumped off of the roof and then deposited in the woods based upon what I’ve seen. Looks like a Mauser 18 in synthetic black stock with a standard 4 shot magazine in .30-06 caliber. Readily available in the USA.

Good question, not sure the layouts previously published explain the angles, ballistics, etc. of the situation; in one of the InstaPundit threads, there was an obscure link that showed a gaping, gushing wound on left side of neck(it was hard to look at more than once), made you think it was an exit wound. Charlie’s body fell back and left after the shot. Anyway, makes you wonder.
No one can apparently accurately observe what is seen in these videos.

Fortunately this is America where all the evidence must be produced at a public trial. You, as well as the jury, will be able to see the basis for what is charged.

Anyhow he also clarified how by using stills/slow-motion… that the theory about it ricocheting off a vest bc some movement of the shirt – was not the case. Nor any markings on the shirt itself. Also Charlie was not wearing a vest b/c you could see his nipple thru his shirt at one point.
Theory was if they’d been aiming for T-bone area of face, the drop in being off is conceivable.

The first video that I saw of him jumping off of the roof was on a small screen device. I was unable to see him carrying a bag. I have since seen a larger version of the video which has clarified what I saw.

There is a video of the suspect, Tyler Robinson, who is speaking on a video on the gateway pundit post above. He doesn’t look like nor sound exactly like the guy being humiliated by Kirk in the Kirk debate video. I think it may be two different people. What do you think?

Yep, 100%. This could’ve been avoided by flying a drone(s) over the scene to monitor rooftops… sound an alert for any people spotted on roofs. Even cheap drones have really good cameras these days. Hindsight, but after Butler, you’d think it would be obvious to do.

One would have thought that given the many and continuing threats made against Charlie Kirk, it would have been simple enough and cheap enough to keep a drone flying above the rooftops while he was speaking at college events where buildings accessible to an assassin were close by.
And for general surveillance, if nothing else. But it wasn’t being done. And in this case, having a drone in the air while Kirk was speaking could have made the difference between life and death for the victim.
Made me think the evil doers lack imagination or no longer care.

I thought the same thing about Charlie and his killer debating.
Why don’t I have any faith in them finding the killer? Something is way off.
I’m no expert but I have some experience behind a rifle and target shoot long range. Anyone shooting that rifle and cartridge on 100 yard range can become proficient enough after 4 or 5 range sessions to make that shot. The 30-06 cartridge has a bullet drop of approximately 4 inches from 100-200 yards. He was aiming at Charlie’ head in my opinion, easier to hit the head than the throat. IMHO he was a good shot but probably clueless about bullet drop so in essence he was lucky. Regardless getting hit by that bullet anywhere would be devastating if not fatal in most cases.
I thought he bore a resemblance too.
Then again, all these totalitarians look alike to me.

Seems like a different guy, but oddly similar in some ways, mainly general build and affect. Anyway, pause the video at 17:15 and look at his chin profile compared to the mugshot profile. Round/flat chin below the lip in the mugshot. Pronounced sharp chin in the video.
Only 5 months ago but the mugshot hair is much different, even accounting for the fact that he probably wanted to look pretty 5 months ago.
You can also get a really good look at his ears in the video…the auricle and helix look different.
I would lean towards taking this post down, honestly, until the identity of the person in the video can be confirmed as Tyler Robinson. If it’s him, put it back up, but if it’s not, the guy in the video is probably in danger. People are #$%ed in the head and believe all sorts of crazy stuff…no sense putting somebody in danger if it’s not 100% confirmed to be Robinson.

Nobody has commented on the physical similarity between Tyler Robinson and the guy with the bullhorn.
Although they have the same height and build, I don’t see any facial similarity. The guy with the bullhorn has a very pointed face, and a different bearing. Robinson, although radicalized, has a meeker presence. Also, I don’t think the guy with the bullhorn wants to be an electrician. He may already be an instructor, grad student or professor. He definitely wants to hold a position of authority.
Lastly, nobody has commented on the obvious sexual innuendo of the unspent cartridges, i.e., ‘if you’re reading this now, then you’re gay’ as well as the unspent cartridge that asks ‘what’s that bulge there OWO?’ This last one is not exactly verbatim, but I’m sure most of us know what I’m talking about.
