One thing that occurs to me is why was this guy wearing it across his chest when he was talking to Kirk? You’d think that would be a red flag for security, since the only reason you would do that is if you had something in there you wanted to access very quickly on the move. In all the video of the suspect released, I have yet to see a rifle. They are trying to say he hid the rifle in his pants leg. But none of the video and pictures show that. They are also saying he was on a roof in front of Charlie but the shot clearly came from the side. Maybe his is the decoy for the actual shooter.
I have also been perplexed that the rifle is not evident in pictures. Seems to me it would be hard to jump off a 12’ roof with a long gun in your pants leg.
Also the rifle in the woods – how did he get down from the roof so easily if he was carrying the rifle, only to discard it later? He was only seen stiff-legged going toward the roof, not dropping off it later…

I’m less inclined to think about ” the shot ” ( always variable, but is not certifiable “expert” skill required ), but more about the logistics. Suspect had to have some enhanced level of event timing, victim location set-up, shooting location with ingress and egress routes, ability to access that point w/o being confronted/stopped, access to appropriate weapon, concealment, etc., etc.
Add into the logistics narrative propaganda aspects ….just happen to easily find the used weapon with inscribed antifa/tranny inscriptions?, occurred on very specific date? creates even greater response action?

This is not a military trained sniper
There are some drone photos of where the shooter was situated. It is a clear shot to the pavilion, very easy with a rifle with a scope. A 30-06 does not drop significantly at 200 yards, maybe four inches if you have a zero at 100 yards. A few afternoons at a range would get enough knowledge to hit a torso sized target at 200 yards. The culprit may have been going for a head shot and hit the neck four inches below point of aim.
Notably high power hunting rounds are very deadly, even if they have been around since 1903. At 400 yards, a 150 grain 30-06 will have more energy than a 44 magnum at one inch.
I think the demon was trying to hit Charlie in the mouth, symbolically and quite literally silencing him and by extension, us.

Something else… and this has been bothering me for a long time: we’ve had 10+ years now of radicalized internet basement dwellers playing Call of Duty. Literally learning CQB and urban assault tactics on what amounts to a virtual simulator. So it’s not that unthinkable that even a rank & file progressive college could could figure out ingress, egress, position, etc. Almost certainly this person has scoped out the venue, and likely been to TP events to get an idea of security.
I’m 59 years old and have never played a video game akin to Call of Duty, but I can sure figure out how to murder someone and get out undetected if I have intimate knowledge of my surroundings. That’s the key. Either he or whoever planned this knew the building and the surrounding area.

200 yds is not really “long distance” and doesn’t take a trained military sniper school graduate in a ghillie suit. A kid who grew up in the sticks could use pawpaw’s 30-06 with the old reliable Weaver scope to hit a tin can at that distance. I do agree with the earlier comment that the shooter was probably not aiming for the throat but was likely off target by 4-6 inches (head or chest). If this dude was really in construction, then his roots are likely planted in the rural (or far edge suburban) of America–and probably familiar enough with hunting rifles to pull this off with a little practice. The real question I have is who was he working with? Was the rifle pre-staged on the roof?
