Previously Chairman, now serving as a member of the Ukrainian Parliament, Andriy Parubiy was shot several times with a short-barreled firearm, police said. Parubiy died on the spot. The perpetrator, who fled the scene and has not yet been identified, was “thoroughly prepared” according to local authorities.
Andriy Parubiy was the primary Ukrainian political activist during Victoria Nuland’s organized Maidan revolution. In common parlance, this assassination might be considered throwing a bag over a potential risk. Remember, CNN is to the State Dept as the Washington Post is to the CIA.

He was also a prominent figure in the Maidan Revolution, a movement which began in November 2013 after then-President Viktor Yanukovych refused to sign a trade pact with the European Union that had been years in the making, opting instead for closer ties with neighboring Russia.
During the revolution, which lasted three months, Parubiy was the head of an enormous tent city established by thousands of protesters in Kyiv’s central Independence Square, known as the Maidan.
He was later the secretary of Ukraine’s National Security and Defense Council during 2014. In 2019, Parubiy signed a bill to make the use of the Ukrainian language mandatory in certain public sectors, calling it a “historic day.” (read more)
Long ago, the opposition elements in eastern Ukraine labeled Parubiy a ‘nazi’ and accused him of working in collaboration with U.S. intelligence (CIA).

Maybe, but I’m thinking Pariuby was the #1 candidate to replace Zelenskyy, and maybe that got him killed.
We forget that Zelenskyy refused to stand for re-elect and instead imposed martial law to essentially make himself Emperor of Ukraine. If there was a good viable superior replacement for him, why wouldn’t Zelenskyy knock him off?
The biggest problem with gaining peace in Ukraine is Zelenskyy is not exactly a lawful representative of the Ukrainian People. He is certainly a self-dealing tinpot despot who refuses to stand for election so the Ukrainian People can have the government they choose during this profound period of existential crisis.
Zelenskyy could have stood for re-election. Instead he chose to be the Usurper-In-Chief of the Ukrainian state. Putin has a fair point when he says there is no legitimate elected leader of Ukraine to negotiate peace with. There simply isn’t at this point. The Ukrainian People deserve much better than a usurper who will not stand for lawful election.

And the fight drags on and on. Chucky always getting us to escalate to stop him from losing. Every weapon we withhold is eventually given. Permission to attack Russia is eventually given. His attack on Poland failed to trigger WWIII. And he is still desperately trying to get NATO and American boots on the ground and in the fight.
We keep the Ukraine Army in the field with weapons. We keep the Ukraine government afloat with money. And Chucky lives on, outlawing opposition and elections, jailing opposition and killing them. But Chucky is running out of cannon fodder and needs us to prevent yet another collapse.
And still Chucky fights on.
