The Sea Island banking and finance community are strategic. They know how to hit the nerve of their opposition in tune with popular sentiment. However, the key to seeing the strings is to notice the pattern.
When the Sea Island group are out of power or diminished influence, they wait for opportunities; then they dispatch their purchased voices to hum the sirens song. DeSantis only has another year of high-visibility influence before he ends up in the dead space leading up to 2028. He and his allies need to stay relevant after ’26.
Trump-Vance is currently aligned with the Silicon Valley tech team and Crypto community, the alternative to the traditional Sea Island confab. However, Silicon Valley has a disconnect from populism on the issue of H1B visas. Sea Island exploits the moment. WATCH:
Beyond independent Trump, once you stop looking at the presented puppets and start focusing on the puppet masters, you start to clear the fog of the theatrics, and you can see the patterns. The ‘out of power’ group promotes the issues that are popular as they seek to cleave the audience (classic splitter strategy).
Silicon Valley corporations and investors, emboldened by President Trump’s embrace of the technology and crypto industries, have pledged up to $200 million to two new super PACs that are aimed at forcing out politicians whom they see as insufficiently supportive of the push into artificial intelligence.
One of the new PACs, Meta California, is funded by tens of millions of dollars from Meta, which owns Facebook and Instagram and has been investing heavily in A.I. The second super PAC, Leading the Future, is backed initially with $50 million from the A.I. investor Andreessen Horowitz and $50 million from Greg Brockman, a co-founder of OpenAI, and his wife, Anna.
[…] The up to $200 million that is being committed is likely to immediately make the new groups, and the issue of A.I., somewhat central to the 2026 midterm elections. The groups promise to support both Democrats and Republicans. (more)

I somehow think it will not pan out for Sea Island . . . they are “too clever by half” and they only manage to reveal their own vulnerabilities.
Stay tuned! 🙂
I’m afraid that despite Sundance’s best efforts I don’t entirely understand the involved parties, but it doesn’t sound like the Silicon Valley gang are much of an improvement.
tech bros want to use gov to build their companies, make gov dependent, pull rug out from under gov and crash country, and offer a new corp gov where people can live in the company and use crypto to purchase from their work there.
thats the diff.
sea island wants globalism.
tech bros want to destroy gov to creat company countris where all transactions are done in the disneyland of that company
The best solution for all of us is to do away with government.
its the biggest con job ever perpetrated on the citizenry of any nation.
Chooseamerica: Our constitution was conceived and written to limit government, which is why the various government grandees, grifters and parasites want the consitution to disappear.
The Constitution relies on a well armed and trained militia. We passed that exit a LONG time ago.
worse yet ?? it relies upon moral , Judeo-Christian citizenry ..Why the Bill of Rights is sooo important..read that
All the crime would be gone in a month or less. So many solution but we rely on a government that promotes criminals not ourselves to rectify our situation. It’s too big, never was it to be as it is.
close.to agreeing
If people would exit Facebook and Instagram “in mass” …that would be the first scalp, and continue from there, Amazon next etc. Nothing will be accomplished without some degree of personal sacrifice.
I gave up fb in 2015 but I feel like I’m going to be forced back on because all county info, community notifications and local schools use it for information about everything. Rarely use Amazon except at Christmas, even then it’s rare.
Yes, by design, I clearly remember when the use of Facebook was “de facto” imposed on the public schools in California top down. I was kind of puzzle why that be …
It came as a string with all the “free” stuff they were given…..you want free stuff, you have to include this tool.
I don’t always agree with you, but when I do it’s because you are dead on.
Reminds me of a song I learned as a child without knowing what I was singing. “I owe my soul to the company store”. Tennessee Ernie Ford – Sixteen Tons.
My dad used to sing that song a long time ago. Thanks, for, the memory!
Exactly
By request.
In other words, they represent globalism in two different flavors.
The effect on those who are not elites is pretty much the same.
Indentured to the company store.
Silicon Valley (Tech) wants both H-1B workers and A.I.
President Trump appears to be very supportive of AI because of the large construction projects required to build both A.I. facilities and then critically needed additional power-generating plants. But I’m not 100% certain of President Trump’s policies for H-1b visa holders at the moment. He has been promoting American labor but is he listening to his SV buddies? There’s a potential conundrum for him surrounding H-1B and A.I.
I would venture that most pro-MAGA Trump voters don’t want A.I. to grow such that it takes over our lives (more so than has already happened), and of course most don’t want H-1B workers in America beyond a token very few.
It’s tough for PDJT to support Big Tech’s politics when both of the above policies are part of Big Tech’s political demands.
Where do we stand when PDJT takes action to enhance America’s AI leadership when Zuckerberg Meta’s AI lab is stacked with Chinese talent; earning as much as 200 million over several years at Meta’s, (mind you – using *secretive*) Superintelligence Labs – a broader trend where Meta is aggressively hiring top AI talent – with substantial pay packages and signing bonuses.
Seven of 11 publicly listed recruits at the new Meta Superintelligence Labs graduated from prestigious Chinese universities before moving to US.
The next thing is that the next era of AI leadership won’t be decided by whose models are best – it will be decided by whose models are everywhere, as China seeks to dominate global markets : looking at China’s ‘little Nvidia’ Cambricon sees 4,348% revenue surge amid AI frenzy.
Where is the US media on all this?

The h1b scam has got to stop. Importing a workforce while short changing our young abd workers is betrayal.
our gov is not built to serve you. its built to have restrictions from harming us but ultimately serve corporations that fund and lobby
Which is exactly why the Fed must be eliminated!!!
There are entire communities and towns in NorCal that are virtually dominated by Indian immigrants.
I previously did sales calls 25 years ago in SV and some divisions were 100% Indian, most on H1B Visas.
A former employer (illegally) hired 100% Chinese H1B programmers, adding a Masters degree requirement which effectively eliminated most Americans for basic programming work.
These jobs used to pay $70-90K per year, now 150-200K plus.
Not exactly America First – right? I am sick and tired of foreigners taking American jobs. GETTEMOUTTAHERE

Take your pick. Muslim refugees, illegal aliens, Chinese foreign students or visa workers. They’re all destroying our standard of living in one way shape or form. They all need to go!
Walmart Fires VP for Taking Daily Kickbacks Starting from $30K
How Walmart’s Kickback Scandal Exposes Silicon Valley’s Staffing Underground
Over a single weekend in August, 1,200 technology contractors found themselves locked out of their systems, their access badges deactivated, their projects suspended indefinitely. The mass termination wasn’t the result of budget cuts or strategic pivots—it was the fallout from a corruption scheme that reached into the highest echelons of Walmart’s Global Tech division.
The retail giant’s abrupt severance of ties with Caspex-sourced contractors followed the firing of a Global Tech vice president who had been orchestrating an elaborate kickback operation. Daily payments starting from $30,000 flowed from contracting agencies seeking preferential treatment in Walmart’s vast technology ecosystem, sources familiar with the investigation revealed.
This dramatic purge represents far more than an isolated corporate scandal. It illuminates a shadowy economy of influence-peddling that has metastasized throughout the technology sector’s contingent workforce infrastructure, creating systemic vulnerabilities that industry observers suggest could trigger widespread operational disruptions across corporate America.
The Walmart case exemplifies a pattern that has emerged across the technology sector’s staffing ecosystem since 2023. Layered vendor relationships—where prime contractors sublease work to secondary vendors, who in turn engage tertiary providers—have created opaque financial structures that obscure accountability while enabling systematic exploitation.
…..The financial mechanics are straightforward yet devastating. Technology executives with authority over contractor requisitions and interview processes can direct substantial volume toward “preferred” staffing shops. In exchange, these vendors provide kickbacks that, in Walmart’s case, generated what sources estimate as millions in illicit payments over multiple years.
The Walmart incident arrives amid a broader reckoning within the technology staffing industry. Tata Consultancy Services terminated 16 employees and blacklisted six staffing vendors following a comprehensive bribery investigation in 2023. Meanwhile, the Department of Justice has intensified prosecutions targeting visa fraud and kickback schemes within IT consulting firms, signaling federal determination to dismantle these networks.

Tata… Indian.
Also, importing 600,000 Chinese students to compete with our youth for college seats and resources. Would that not make college costs rise for Americans? Would those Chinese students overfill the scientific and tech degree classrooms and labs only leaving openings in classrooms that teach for degrees in areas that don’t pay as well to Americans? Have they been promised grants as well? I truly don’t understand how that is America First?
We need to distinguish the H1B problem from the AI problem, even though they are related through big tech. They need to be looked at both separately and together.
AI is tough because it has risks and possible benefits.
H1B is easy in principle: it is outrageous to import vast numbers of workers that displace our own.
Maybe I should be, but I’m not too concerned about the Sea Island connection. The H1B scam is despicable, regardless of who is asking questions about it or their motives.
I hope President Trump will fix this outrage.
Working for the Japanese by Ray Stevens
Gung Ho (1986).
Shut down H1B and immigration for ten years. Give us time to clean out the trash and assimilate the ones we let remain.
Assimilate! I haven’t heard that word spoken in a long long time.
Most politicos don’t want to hear it. It’ll ruin their narrative.
its good for companies
your gov does not represent you because your lobbying is non existent
Indians don’t assimilate at work. And they upward delegate
Indians have a caste system/belief/lifestyle. We, Americans, are not part of that and are inferior to the Indians. I deal with a Indian at work, he really does not care to talk or interact with me.
That’s not necessarily true of Indians. Maybe in your job. I work in healthcare where there are plenty of Indians. First off, there’s a segment that are actually Christian and follow Christian beliefs not Hindu. I’ve worked with Hindus who were as American as us. NFL, baseball fans, drinking, clubbing, etc. They were vegetarian and we weren’t. I worked with a Hindu who likes eating meat. None felt they were superior.
I have a totally different experience. Ever wonder why some Indian clerks/owners of convenience stores and gas stations just hand you the change and/or never say “thank you” or other niceties? It’s the caste system they’ve known their entire life. If an Indian says “thank you” or, maybe picks up a piece of trash from outside a business, they literally believe that makes them Inferior to you. The caste system is real..and if you think some Indians “assimilate” to our American culture, it’s only because they want you to believe it. (Note: I’m from the South (NW Florida) where saying Thank You, holding the door for others, picking up trash by the gas pump, etc. just comes naturally).
the tech people are souless psychos.
how has our altrusim worked for us
we were set on a path for extermination. that only stopped due to our enemy using pdjt as a joke but he actually won
Aye. SeaIsland scumbags are no better.
I’m sure it’s all just a grassroots effort…
If the choices are Sea Island banking and finance or Tech Bros AI and Crypto, I’m afraid that the people will come down on the side of banking and finance. Those are the tried and true oligarchs of the world.
Personally, I hate the idea of crypto and AI running anything and I really don’t like President Trump embracing it.
teaming up until later
Two bad choices. Happy to see the Sea Island gang with less power, but AI and digital in the wrong hands would be a nightmare. Think Canadian truckers.

HUGE HIRING SCAM EXPOSED!… Job Search Sites Caught Hiding High-Paying Jobs from Skilled American Workers in Order to Hire Foreigners! – But They Got Caught! – Jobs. Now Website Is Sharing These Available Jobs to Americans
When we learned from @amandalouise416 that employers were systematically discriminating against Americans by hiding jobs for PERM applicants (in violation of the law), we decided to create our own job board to make it EASY & ACCESSIBLE for Americans to apply for hidden PERM jobs!
https://www.thegatewaypundit.com/2025/08/exposed-job-search-sites-caught-hiding-high-paying/
ha, you beat me to it by 30 sec!
And the whole bloody “system” may be more corrupted than it already appears on the surface…
https://www.thegatewaypundit.com/2025/08/exposed-job-search-sites-caught-hiding-high-paying/
Nobody is surprised.
Well, gotta tell you. I am not now, or ever have been a fan of my gov RDS…but as someone whose family has been totally and completely upended by the H1B Visa debacle in this country (software engineer husband out of job for 2 years now), I can see that this angle may get some traction. Yep, we all know he is a BS’er and most likely won’t do a thing while in office, but man oh man, does he have a good platform with this. People are very very angry about the Visa’s taking over American jobs…and the outsourcing…this may take some wings since it appears MAGA doesn’t even agree it is an issue much less even acknowledge the issue at all….This will be an interesting race for sure…
Dublin CA has new $3 million homes up in the hills in new developments, 95% East Indian, most appear to be H1B visas.
I guess this was before the Sea Island group were in favor of any type of worker visa. Just like the Chamber of Commerce – same type of group by another name.
Ron needs to understand he’s now irrelevant. Both he and his wife. Wish they’d take Pam Bondi with them.
Hmmm, Is Trump making a case for “Americans” taking the blue-collar jobs to work for imported overlords? If I was a Dem strategist, I’d be sending out the talking points now.
Personally I care a lot more about the visible 600,000 Chinese students and rampant H1B “replacement strategy than obscure Sea Island schemes.
Petition Congress to eliminate the “H1B” and other visa programs. The very concept of these things are abusive to “America First!” They will continue to be until the law is changed.
It would be a lovely thing to think Congress gives even half a hoot what the American public wants.
Pretty sure the lobbyists would have a thing or two to say about that…and they’re the one with the dosh and the influence.
They (in this case the [Un]American Globalist branch, the Chamber of Commerce) are the ones who no doubt call the tune.
They….not we…are the paymasters.
<It would be a lovely thing to think Congress gives even half a hoot…>
Kamala was half a hoot…
And not the ot part 🙂
Why, whatever do you mean, dear WORDMAN ?!?!?!???
(said in my best pretending that I don’t understand voice 😉😎)
Took me a second.. LOLOLOLOL
The hill Elon Musk will die on? OKIE DOKIE!!!
H1B is too abused and violated to the point that it needs to be trashed an a new system created — one that absolutely serves the interests of the COUNTRY not of the businesses who hired lobbyists to create H1B.
Chinese and other foreign students only serve to inflate the costs of education as does “no bankruptsy for student loans” and many other things. The point is it’s all being made at the expense of the US American people. It’s NOT “America First” as it is now.
H1B Scam has caused huge pain for skilled American tech experienced people. No jobs, right but also – no one will look at their resumes and 3rd party hiring companies routinely throw white men’s resumes in the trash. It is a scam, and MAGA lever is to continue to protest verbally with Trump because the Indian hiring club is locked tight against American techs especially experienced Americans. I saw this with my lawyer eyes 2001-5 contracts with these co bringing in foreigners and then laying off Americans. It’s now a locked out job market. While Sea Island want to make it an issue it IS Trump’s main vulnerability for goodness sake yesterday he parroted Lutnick foolish plan to bring in 600,000 Chinese students when the most important message of MAGA is America first. Trump’s seemingly approval was a test and X reacted vigorously yesterday – no was the resounding thousands of replies.
This is the hill the time and the place and Trump should let go of JD’s grip on foreign labor idea it’s going to create a massive unemployment problem for all American families
It’s not limited to H1B. Truck drivers are being replaced at a fast rate. Yeah. Limited English reading, speaking. I went and got my Hazmat license to haul crude oil just so I don’t have to compete with foreign nationals.
Yet states are still letting migrants drive. Guess what? If I fail my eye test I can’t drive. I really only need reading glasses.
Big tech had gotten caught in their huge hiring scam.

AI=Look! Squirrel!—>
Their splitter strategy WOULDN’T WORK if DJT got on the right side of this issue:
STOP ALLOWING BUSINESSES TO IMPORT FOREIGN WORKERS!
And another issue that he needs to address:
STOP EDUCATING CHINESE COMMUNISTS AND START EDUCATING our CHILDREN!!
What many do not realize, there are many very wealthy businessmen, from India, in this country, that own and manipulate the parts of the system.
100%
Read of the Chinese employee at MD Anderson in Tx, heading BACK to China with research data. Stolen and head HOME….he was discovered and arrested at the airport, however. He was caught!!! HOW MAY are not?
Chinese science University students get caught bringing deadly fungi in. They sneak everything in to destroy our ecological system and food. Then steal tech on there way out. No winning with foreigners who aren’t coming here to assimilate, work hard and become law abiding constitutional Americans!
America put a man on the moon, largely a result of the GI bill. A great success story. We did not need hoards of foreigners to get it done. Reimagine that Mr. Trump.
You would think this is obvious from an America First perspective. But he has clearly been told things which aren’t directly true. The Gateway pundit story does help to expose the subversive acts to avoid complying with the law being done.
So here is where H1B has gotten us. I know, because I am watching it happen before my eyes and have been for many years.
Foreign students secure visas through a large selection of colleges that are basically exist for this purpose. Many, if not most are the land grant institutions or in other words, the federally funded universities. In order to remain in the country they take any job they can, often at large tech companies that place orders by the dozen.
Eventually they reach positions of power and influence, after all they are smart and have sometimes crazy work ethic. They will tend to hire within their ethnic group. I find this not as likely to occur amongst Chinese BTW.
Phase 3 is when Senior Level people leverage their contacts at home to contract work on the cheap or worst of all to open Design Crenters. I am watching this occur at my place of work right now. Hiring freeze in the USA, positions being added like crazy in India.
So really, it is just another way of plundering the USA.
Sea Island. Silicon Valley. District of Corruption.
Disney could open a politically-themed amusement park. Entry fees woud be drawn directly from your paycheck. All the rides would be non-operational. The food concessions would make you sick. No one would speak English.
I LOVE it!!! Now, how to market it? Kind of like WestWorld!
DEEPstate.
Trump isn’t perfect but he’s my President.
He simply needs to hear OUR side. And there doesn’t seem to be an obvious way to do that. Palantir has his ear and that’s REALLY unfortunate. Government has desire to control the people and the people have desire to control the government. The constitution rejects the former and is expressly designed to accomplish the latter.
Whoever listens to Sundance in the administration, it is Sundance who needs to make priorities known and understood and also to know what should be rejected about government behavior.
so does this trap Trump Team. If Trump shuts down HB1, the tech guys will be pissed and attack Trump. And if he doesn’t shut down HB1, MAGA influencers will complain and raise awareness to all the HB1 hires that take away jobs for Americans.
Trump has been pretty silent about HB1 for a few months, after ELON blew an anger fit.
At least Vance spoke out recently about it, and nailed Microsoft for laying off American workers, and then applying for cheaper H1B workers. I was pleasantly surprised, considering his tech ties.
https://www.breitbart.com/tech/2025/07/24/bullsht-story-jd-vance-blasts-microsoft-for-replacing-americans-with-h-1b-visa-workers/
I am entirely okay and happy to see anyone hammer the administration on the subject of H1Bs, foreign students etc. no matter how cynical and ultimately disingenuous their criticism may be.
Both groups need the MAGA base. Here’s hoping President Trump will back the right candidate for 2028. My guess he will.
Pres. Vance: “Hey honey, what do you think of this H1B reduction order?”
1st Lady: “I hope the couch in the Oval Office is comfortable.”
That was low.
Bootsie has wrecked my State. Don’t listen to Bootsie. And Techzilla will destroy us at their earliest convenience. Can we please be in charge for a while? I have had a bellyful of being run amok by people who are too smart for their own good.
Regardless of who is pushing what angle to this policy story, this is a stab in the back to MAGA.
Would only be palatable if CCP spies (ahem, students) were charged max tuition rates while giving full scholarships to an equivalent amount of deserving American citizens.
I hear 100 of those slots are specifically to study famine inducing fungus.
Do not allow your children to follow the path being taken by the 600,000 h1b visa holders, for they are being led to the AI replacement slaughterhouse.
Interesting.
We have been trying to encourage young family members to consider trade schools first.
AI can’t plumb.

Fairly simple dot connecting for the confused
Splitting the vote or not, Sea Island folks are spot on with H1B. They simply should not be allowed except for extreme exceptions. My youngest son wants to become a computer engineer, but I have told him to look elsewhere. There are no IT jobs for a white male.
The Sea Island folks are also spot on with the 600K in Chinese college students nonsense. Trump is usually on target, but America First precludes H1B and foreign college students.
The point is that The Sea Island folks are pretending to care. They are telling you what you want to hear, as usual but if in charge, would never deliver. The only reason why this subject is even being highlighted and openly discussed in the sunlight is because of MAGA Trump, not the Sea Islanders. Fox News, Laura Ingraham, and Ron DeSantis are complete frauds.
Trump is great at finding the goods in every situation. He may be using the Chinese student narrative as a bargaining chip for future trade negotiations with the CCP same way he used Musk to benefit MAGA knowing full well Musk is not MAGA. Same way he used Vivek knowing full well “Vivek is not MAGA”.
Rest assured, Trump will always put America First even though the MSM will spin things to try and divide and distract us.
MAGA has a real problem with H1B as it directly takes jobs away from qualified American workers. The H1B problem existed long before Trump’s first term yet he did nothing, absolutely nothing, to stop or reform it during his first term. The only current H1B Trump proposal is to change the H1B lottery so that unskilled workers could not be selected in the lottery. That will not cut it since that may cut 20K from the H1B total
I do not particularly care who identifies the problem or who uses it for their own political purposes. Trump needs to get out in front of this H1B issue immediately. In fact, he should have addressed it in 2017, not 2025. In 2024 over 400K H1Bs were granted with only a 2% denial rate. That is 400K jobs directly taken away from US workers. The share of those granted H1Bs who had at least a bachelors degree was a pitiful 34%. You read that correctly, only 34% had at least a bachelors degree. The H1B program is NOT being used for its stated purpose of bringing in specialty workers to fill in sectors with skilled workforce shortages.
As for the Chinese student narrative – there are MANY universities that are on the brink of bankruptcy. The vast majority of these schools are small private liberal arts universities. These schools should have closed many years ago but remain alive on the life support of guaranteed student loans and foreign students paying the whole tuition load. Currently, 40% of all colleges are considered to be facing “financial challenges”.
The fact that currently over 300K Chinese nationals attend university in the US is unacceptable to MAGA folks. Now that MAGA is aware of this fact, the only solution that will be acceptable is cutting off all foreign student visas regardless of the country. If Trump cuts off student visas, there will be a cratering in higher education. I do not think that Trump will have the guts to cut off foreign student visas since the fallout would hurt the chances of retaining majorities at the midterms.
Just my take. Your mileage may vary.
He will not eliminate foreign student VISAs. He may refocus it on only the best and brightest though.
He wants the best in the US and the best foreigners. He IS aware of the inroads China has made into STEM professions in the US and that this IS a national security issue. He will still want some leeway for some unique gifted foreigners that want to become Americans.
The H1B Visa program for STEM students needs to be eliminated. All the tech companies abuse it. It prevents us from growing our own American STEM professionals. How do we build things secure from foreign countries’ intelligence agencies with non-Americans?
My son is employed in tech, but I was laid off 6 times. I worked development projects mostly and when those ended, I went job hunting. He focused on a niche area of tech and it has paid off for him in spades. He switched before being laid off twice. Neither of us is the average programmer. I do not think his children will go into STEM unless the corporations start hiring Americans again. That will be this country’s loss.
Just loved that fake smile DeSantis had on waiting for the interview to start. None of them care how many foreigners enter the country. Be it Chinese students stealing our tech or bringing fungi in to destroy crops or viruses to kill us. Idc if Universities shutdown, there nothing but money making brainwashing institutes. DeSantis won’t change HB foreigners stealing American jobs, this has been a con since the 80’s. Outsourcing and insourcing has destroyed the American dream and driven Americans into poverty. I was hoping Trump was trolling when he spoke of Chinese student influx.
I don’t want 150K truck drivers from India and 600K students from China. Period. America first.
There may be only one elected representative in DC who always puts America first and thankfully he is the President. Trump does not want 150K truck drivers from India and 600K students from China either. Period.
Many coattail riders pretend to care and understand MAGA even when their actions in the past were the opposite of what they claim. DeSantis is probably the Biggest Coattail rider AND BackStabber in history.
Yes, DeSantis was a back stabber, lack of character showed. But, he was not the worse, there were other contenders that did Trump unbelievable dirt for no good reason.
Me either. Before this mass influx of foreign workers, there were a lot less homeless people in California and New York.
I really believe the Sea Island set is chirping because a DEI Hire Fed governor was fired. They have always known the Fed is not neutral—it has functioned as their protector, keeping credit cheap, the dollar stable, and asset values high. That system delivered directly to their bottom line and reinforced their dominance.
When PDJT pierced that facade by showing the Fed can be touched yesterday, they understood what it means for them: higher funding costs as markets price political risk, more volatile exchange rates cutting into global operations, and lower valuations as investors begin to discount a politicized central bank. Their shield was never neutral and now it is no longer safe.
For Main Street, the same shift has upside. The Fed’s independence kept policy tilted toward capital markets at the expense of workers, savers, and small businesses. By breaking that shield, the balance of risk changes. Instead of automatic protection of Wall Street assets, policy can tilt toward cheaper household credit, stronger wage growth, and less punishment for those who live off income rather than capital. What threatens the Sea Island set’s dominance can give Main Street more breathing room.
De Santis is right.
Frankly I hope both sides crash and burn at this point.
I am still in wait and see mode. Trump’s tariffs have not added inflation. I think his economic trade plans will pan out, I don’t know if it will happen quickly enough to prevent recession. I am less clear on his stable coin plans. I am not convinced they will work to our benefit instead of another control mechanism.
DeSantis loves any opportunity to disagree with Trump. His RPOF has been DISENFRANCHISING MAGA Republicans all over the state. Ask the folks in Manatee, Lake, St. Johns, et. al..
Btw, the state of Florida employs over 1000 H1B workers in its university system alone, according to Grok.
Remember, government is not about what is good for the people. Government is about what is good for government. Remember – the continuity of government.
Six of one, the half a dozen of the other.. both primary goal is to separate us from our money.. As for the H1B issues .. NO NEW IMMIGRANTS for any reason.. Recently saw a State department notice there are 50 million H1B holders in this country.. if that’s true then that’s 40 million too many..
Not 50 million, that’s a ridiculous number.
Even 5 million is a ridiculous number.
The University of California and her ten (10) campuses have a ton of Chinese nationals. What would happen if those numbers substantially dropped?
– campuses would have to trim budgets, lay off staff
– recruit more CALIFORNIA high school grads (many go out of state now)
– recruit more women (they prefer career stability)
– housing costs would drop (less Demand)
– professors might need to teach another class each session
– less cheating? (A prof friend caught dozens if Chinese students cheating during lockdowns)
Fewer students graduating and becoming defacto Chinese spies on US technology.
The new comers don’t care about America.
Tech bros don’t.
Sea Isle bros doesn’t.
The Sea Islanders have plenty of money. They won’t want to see all their investments in creating DeSantis go to waste. Expect DeSantis to transition out of the governorship directly into some fairly high-profile gig as head of some think tank or partisan non-profit group where he can keep finding the media spotlight, keep his name in the news and position himself for future offices.
The AI Data Centers are a growing and significant issue for the people due to a myriad of effects, from large home energy cost increases to water resource issues to blight and noise. Then there is the surveillance state issues…
