Internet users found the shooter’s social media accounts {SEE HERE} and provided additional information, including a video uploaded last night {SEE HERE} prior to the shooting where the suspect outlined his plans and thoughts to his family and friends in advance.
The information shows a very disturbed and unstable mindset. I caution readers that below is some of the information from the video, which may be disturbing given the nature of the events. At least two children were killed in a shooting in Minneapolis during a Catholic school Mass to mark the first week of school, according to police, in a “deliberate act of violence.”

I feel it’s important to look at the “Trans” issue in its medical context. I don’t have links, because I’m just checking in while fixing a car, but I have read that the suicide rate/mental illness among “trans” people is through-the-roof bad, not just a little above curve, compared to straight people. I mean like, doctors know of the extraordinarily high rate. A little research should show this, unless blocked by Big Tech.
To me, when vetting people for gun ownership, shouldn’t trans applicants be specially examined to disclose their drug histories – especially SSRI drugs, which have a known suicide risk – not to mention the association of the killer with a marijuana dispensary? Today’s “pot” is soooo much stronger, and can have weird artificial compounds.
I’m not ashamed to say that I smoked “dirt weed, ” low-THC pot in the ’80s to ’90s, then quit. Maybe once a year, someone will offer me a hit off a vape or joint, and I’ll try it, to be sociable, with a shallow, quick inhale and exhale, and never a second puff. I’m literally talking an average of one puff a year.
A few weeks ago, a young girl handed me what looked like a regular joint. To be polite, I took one quick puff, and exhaled right away – with minimal lung inhalation. Let me tell you, I was still stoned and acting kooky 24 hours later. It was bizarre. Now I don’t think I’ll try even the once-a-year puff, because, what is in the modern stuff???
To recap – trans w/comparatively high suicide rate – association with THC dealing, with stuff on the streets that would blow the old hippies’ minds – vapes – sex-change hormones, possible SSRI …. (the shooter mentions the life-ruining impact of vapes on his life)

Tricky, tricky subject. I feel that if you’re on enough drugs, then – yes there should be some sort of litmus test for gun ownership. If the Founders meant “total, free gun possession,” then I wonder why they thought of caveats, such as a well-regulated militia. There has to be a way to, at least, take a closer look at some of the statistically prone cohorts, such as suicidal trans people.

Bringing children to psychs (of any stripe) is not going to help them. At best, it only reinforces to the child that something is wrong with him, and turns the child over to an adult influencer who has their own issues. At worse, the kid ends up on brain poisons (aka “medications”) that will cause permanent damage.
Better to find some wise person in another professions who has some insight to talk with the kid, the parents, help figure out what social, medical, and/or family issues and dynamics are be contributing to this. (And yes, it’s so unpopular to say because any doc or psych or teacher who even hinted that the parents are contributing would lose that paying customer. But a lot of it is bad parenting.)

I have three sons. When my youngest was 2, (my others were 6 and 8) my now ex got into an affair. I had a successful business and lived in an affluent suburb of Detroit, which was unfortunately the court system the divorce took place at. As you might suspect, I was hammered in court, she was a stay at home mom, and despite that she was off doing her thing leaving me with the kids. The courts didn’t care and still gave her primary custody. It was fine until they reached the age where they could stay at home, unsupervised. She was the “fun” mom. No homework, no chores, just all the video games and television and sleep overs with friends they wanted. They started to cut me out of their lives, and refused visitation. When they did, she rewarded them. I was well into 6 figures in legal costs, custody evaluations, etc… Today, I don’t have a relationship with any of the three. My oldest recently got married and took his wife’s last name. I wasn’t invited. My youngest is probably the worst off from what I’ve heard. Thankfully nothing has happened like yesterday’s events, but God forbid if it ever did, and I was approached by the media for comment, I would unload on the court and psychological profession like you couldn’t imagine.
That’s terrible. I hope and pray (f.u. Mayor Frey) that your situation will improve. I don’t see our grandkids very much and they’re now entering/finishing high school, I realize how little time we’ve spent with them. We live c. 500 miles away. No divorces, just time and distance. I’m 80 this year. Thinking back, I’m glad I quit taking birth control pills after our first child was born. During menopause, mine was in my mid-50s, everyone was saying take estrogen. Never did. Symptoms weren’t that awful, some night sweats but that was about it. Don’t remember my mental health being any different than it had been in previous years. Never have been to a shrink, either. I love reading about mental health, though, and making observations about people’s behavior, which is why I’m drawn to The Treehouse, and the wide variety of well-thought out comments herein.

Graphologically speaking, there is much internal and external hatred expressed from the shooter’s writing pressure. His baselines are often wavy and unaligned which usually signifies someone who has not reconciled their identity, which we now know is factual. We need to know how he obtained the weapon used in his rampage. Tragedy all around. Nothing good to see here.
I find it extra disturbing that this killer’s manifesto is relatively sane; it (mostly) does not seem like the rambling, detached, self-serving work psychotics tend to produce (maybe that is in the referenced “journals”). He expresses love for his family repeatedly and specifically. He rarely lets anger show through. He accepts blame (ultra rare even for non-maniacs). He shows empathy for the effects his actions will have on his family. But he never expresses any empathy at all for the innocent children he is going to murder or their families. (It’s almost as if he was focused on suicide when he wrote this — was the school shooting part ad hoc?).
Individuals are responsible for the evil that they do. But physicians and organizations that fail to treat, or even recognize, the psychosis underlying trannyism, has blood on their hands. Aiding and abetting the problem is malpractice. The victims/families would do the world a service by suing the doctors and others who abetted the killer instead of providing treatment for his mental illness.

Yeah, as MTeresa commented, psychopaths are extremely adept at communicating all of the right things without meaning or understanding any of it. Without knowing the kids background or day to day personality it’s impossible to know for sure but just based off this one letter, it’s pretty easy to find 8-10 out of the 20 items in the PCL-R revised. Given that each question counts for 1/2 a point and a 30/40 is the minimum required score for diagnosis, this letter makes him he’s at least half to 2/3 of the way already.

Antidepressants are the Russian Roulette of the psych world. Some have black box warnings for suicidal thoughts and actions. There are a few good uses for them (somataform diseases, sometimes neuropathy) but they should be LAST resort, not handed out like M&Ms.
When someone that has a mental condition such as schizophrenia is released from the hospital they will be on meds. They will take meds their entire life. Someone in their family be it mother, father, spouse, child, sister, brother, aunt, uncle, cousin or friend or neighbor has to take on the daily job of ensuring that they take their meds. They also have to ensure that they make all of their mental health appointments and any medical checkups that are required. The medications are hard to take due to the side effects, it slows you down, causes constipation, can cause high blood pressure and high blood glucose which require treatment. It is very complicated. Also emotionally draining and physically demanding. It requires a dedication that few people are willing to give. The mental health profession does not keep tabs on their patients, they either take the meds on their own and come to appointments or are just forgotten about till the next emergency time. There is no insurance program or government program that does this. I know this because we have a person in my family who is schizophrenic. These people require someone in their lives on a daily basis to ensure that they take their meds and are okay and to see they get to a medical facility if something has gone wrong. A daily chat and visit for 30 minutes to an hour can prevent a lot of hurt. But it requires a special kind of dedication from the family long term that most families simply cannot give with all of the complications of today’s modern world and demands.

Think about it. If trans therapy is so powerful it can change a girl into a boy, a very tiny amount of it might help boys become more confident and solve any confusion about gender. Use small amounts of these therapies to make children more of what they currently are. Doesn’t that seem more sensible? Or are we to accept going back to the middle ages where doctors drilled holes in our heads to solve problems?
I’m not sure if you are proposing testosterone supplements for male children who seem on the fence. Would make more sense than trying to chnge them into females, though I have doubts about giing children anything — just help them grow out of it. It WOULD be interesting to know if boys who start into gender confusion are tested for hormone deficiencies, and it so, what the results re over a large sample population.
