On one hand, it’s great to see our President showing solidarity with our LEOs. On the other hand, the circumstances of this show of solidarity aren’t so great, but I’m hoping they can turn DC around soon. The parasites will call you every name they can think of and insist that they’re victims, but there has to come a point where you just ignore them and clean up the degeneracy anyway.
No murders in a week since the federalies
I love what POTUS is doing regarding this. America was a beautiful nation and it has been trashed for years. This does a lot for the way back to feeling some pride again.
Of note is that far, far too many of the immigrants – regardless of legality – have brought their cultures and vituperative attitudes with them; e.g., Ilyan Omar has helped turn Minneapolis into Moagadishu-on-the-Mississippi.
And directly to the point, Pramilla Jayapal, the toxic hater elected from Seattle, in just the past day or so, blames grocery store closings on corporations seeking profit for their shareholders. Old enough to remember when profit was considered their duty.
Jayapal sounds like a mental giant when it comes to economics. She’s another foreigner who just can’t seem to grasp how capitalism works. Or maybe she does and just uses the opportunity to stir up her base who hang on her every word. You can be sure none of them understand economics.
Oh, one more thing. When stores are closed because of crime and shoplifting, it’s a direct result of the policies of Jayapal and her comrades in the democommie party. So cry me a river, Pramilla.
The stark contrast of the Democrat/Communist rule. Socialism never works; so instead of doing things that do work, they fudge the numbers while the people suffer. It is hard to understand people that fake the numbers and act like things are ok.

Washington, D.C. doesn’t just belong to the govt critters and the people who rely on them for their basic needs. It belongs to all of us, and it should be clean, safe, and orderly. We should not accept anything less.
I still haven’t decided if Tucker Carlson’s visit to Moscow was pure propaganda or not, but compared to some places in Washington, D.C., it looked great.
When we visited the National Arboretum, I was saddened by it’s neglected state. Not to say that the employees aren’t doing their jobs, but the funding and potential is not what it really should be.
This place should be the repository of American Horticultural accomplishments.
This was 10+ yrs ago. I would wager that it has not improved at all.
That’s kind of unfortunate. When I lived in the area, it was the place to go in Spring when the Azalias were blooming. But the area of NE around it was kind of sketchy.
But where was this event? Hains Point? If so not what I would call a high-crime area. Not that Pres Trump needs to go to 7th or 8th ward, but that’s where I would concentrate police.
Nothing in DC named National is what it should be and throwing more ‘funding ” is not the answer. All of the money in the world cannot make up for people who take no pride in doing a job well.
They whine and complain about pay but just do not care enough to try.

There WILL be law and order in our nations Capital.
Whether the enemies of liberty like it or not.
I hope that after decades of thinking murders, car jackings, robberies and the rest is the way everyone out of cities lives, the residents who have had to put up with this lawlessness and incivility every single day and night get a taste of what life could…and should…be like. And want it so badly that once the National Guard is no longer there will do everything within their power to keep it going.
I hope this isn’t simply a hiatus.

We have had several noteworthy Leaders who were necessary for their times.
History will put them all in equal footing.
The Guard is not only keeping people safe, it may also be doing some recruitment. One unit was in the DC Navy Yard area when a couple of teenage boys came over to check them out. The soldiers even let one sit in the Humvee. They were having such a good time that the kids even asked someone to take their picture with the soldiers.

Will one of them look into the military as a career? Did they go home and tell their neighbors what great guys the soldiers were? There may be a ripple effect from the Guard’s presence that goes beyond crime reduction.
Or they could be scoping out potential vulnerabilities. I know, I know. I’m just an old cynic. I’ll shut up now.

In the left wing liberal circles, they are saying the National Guard is policing “safe” areas of DC, not where all the violent crime happens. The right wing needs to disabuse them of that notion.
No idea of where they are deployed, but certainly most of the pics you see are around the Mall. If we had a functioning press they would be fanning out across the District to see what’s really happening. Not left nor right that I can see.
