At 7:00am this morning, the FBI carried out a raid on the home of former Trump National Security Advisor, John Bolton. According to most reports, the FBI search is related to the removal of classified documents by Bolton.
WASHINGTON – The FBI on Friday searched the Maryland home of former Trump national security adviser John Bolton as part of an investigation into his handling of classified records, people familiar with the matter said.
A spokeswoman for Bolton, a top critic of President Trump in recent years, declined to comment. He clashed with the president over policies toward Iran and North Korea during his 18-month tenure in Trump’s first term.
A Federal Bureau of Investigation spokesman didn’t immediately respond to requests for comment.
“NO ONE is above the law,” Director Kash Patel said on X around the time of the search.
The Justice Department during Trump’s first term sued Bolton and launched a criminal investigation into whether he unlawfully disclosed classified information in his memoir, which offered a scathing assessment of Trump’s presidency. Biden officials dropped the lawsuit and the grand jury probe in 2021, which Bolton cited as an example of Trump inappropriately using the Justice Department to protect his personal interests.
Friday’s search stems from an investigation into whether Bolton illegally possessed or shared classified material, one person familiar with it said. (more)

According to NY Post, which first revealed the raid:
Federal agents went to Bolton’s house in Bethesda, Md., at 7 a.m. in an investigation ordered by FBI Director Kash Patel, a Trump administration official told The Post.
…The probe — which is said to involve classified documents — was first launched years ago, but the Biden administration shut it down “for political reasons,” according to a senior US official.
Just this week, Bolton was on CNN and prime news shows blasting Trump’s dealings with Putin and the Ukraine negotiations.
“I don’t think there’s a peace deal anywhere in the near future,” he said while criticizing the commander-in-chief’s tactics while recently speaking to CNN.
Axios also recalls that Bolton wrote in a foreword to his memoir that was published last year the words: “a mountain of facts demonstrates that Trump is unfit to be President.”
Publication of the book had been delayed so that the White House could review its content for any potential security breaches or disclosure of sensitive information.

Bolton is plugged into the Professional INTEL and State Department ranks … this may actually be part of an expanded “leak” hunt … looking beyond the normal “leak” outlets in the MSM and among the usual democrat leakers (i.e. Clapper and Brennan).

There is so much legal coverage and documentation protecting the book industry that they are Legally untouchable.
I learned this as I started exploring “publishing” a work of fiction that spanned across my professional career … there was a ton of legal documents one had to submit to certify that I was actually AUTHORIZED to use ALL the materials in the book. That documentation included authorizations from my employers.
99.99% of the onus is on the Author to prove that the material is PUBLICLY releasable.
If anything Bolton may have submitted fraudulent authorizations, which would also be a crime vs Bolton.

John Bolton is one of the biggest Deep State cheerleaders for war I’ve seen since Kissinger. If he had an ounce of professional self-awareness and ability to read the room, for all his vaunted geopolitical savvy he would have stood down and faded into the shadows when Trump came back into office. But these people are so used to being above the fray that they themselves foment that they just can’t imagine that “it” will apply to them.
All that being said, I am so over the early morning FBI raids, always taking place under the marquee that “No One Is Above the Law!” The founders never intended for the federal government to be this big nor this powerful.l It over classifies everything and then, when it wants to make a political point, its gestapo mounts a raid brought on by that over classification. I feel like I’m watching a territorial struggle among power centers with our Constitution being the churned up battlefield on top of which the tussle is taking place.
A government big enough to make everything you do illegal, and to raid you at will, is not a government bound by the limitations of the Constitution, and that is regardless of who is in power. It is a government big enough to destroy, no longer checked by the will of the people, as enshrined by the Constitution. It is, in fact, a government big enough to force you to take a life altering experimental chemical cocktail into your body in the name of public safety, on pain of loss of job or travel.
John Bolton is no different from the Clintons or the Bidens or any other DS cabal – they are all parasites feeding off our once great republic. But Washington, as it exists now, is incompatible with republican government. And that’s a fact no true patriotic American can ignore or support.
I see moves in the Trump administration to return the government to its founding structure, without the Wilsonian progressive overlay. Despite this Bolton incident, we’ll see. Let’s pray that the ending is better than the beginning.
