A few will get slung off into space, but most will come along for the ride of their lives.

Here is the game plan that the forces against Trump will be using for the foreseeable future.
They will attempt to get you to make the perfect the enemy of the good.
Be it the freedom clowns and spending, the immigration hawks with H1B visas, the peace doves with timing, the cultural warriors with total bans of DEI/CRT, the neocons with war fighting, or the swamp dwellers with draining the swamp.
All of them will attempt to get you to believe on whatever issue is the issue of the day that it doesn’t go far enough or do enough. They will try to make you think that some sub issue of that issue is more important and should be handled first, that since the issue hasn’t been handled yet it won’t be, that we can’t do more than one thing, that so and so is a plant to stop the draining of the swamp, or that because it wasn’t 100% Trump lied. On every single issue, one or more groups will attempt this strategy.
You can’t allow them that power over you. If Trump secures the border and deports 2 million, don’t allow them to reduce that good by them saying well he didn’t deport 2.5 million, so he failed or lied.
You can’t allow them to use the perfect to void out the good in the coming months.
They will try. They already have with the CR and the H1b visa debates. It works, that is why they use it. You have to keep it in the front of your head on everything about to occur that half a loaf or hopefully in most cases 7/8ths a loaf is better than no loaf.
Do not allow them to gaslight you into thinking the good is the enemy of the perfect.
In the real world, most things are never perfect, but if we try real hard, we can get plenty of good accomplished in the coming 4 years.
President Trump is transparent in his words and actions. He is consistent in what he says, what he does, and what he asks/demands of others. His promises are bold and he keeps them like no other president has. He is making massive, nearly overnight changes, not only in our country, but in the world. It is amazing that he is able to accomplish so much when there are so many snakes in the grass. This term, he is weeding them out faster. No U.S. president has ever faced so much organized resistance and treason than President Trump
The purpose and goals of President Trump are plainly visible by his actions and consistent: He is for the benefit first of the common PEOPLE of this country, then of the PEOPLE in the rest of the world. It is validating, even to our battered conservative skepticism.
The methods of his leadership are amazing. I still don’t get HOW he does it, or HOW he is able to get so much momentum going, but every day the momentum is growing. Everyone and every organization has their eyes opened every day — just by watching him. Even those who hate him, are biased against him, and want to see him gone — cannot ignore him. He lives rent free in their head, and they come around to seeing the universal principles by which he is operating. He hammers actions based on truth from one direction, then another, and they cannot mount an organized opposition against him.
He has chosen to use his intellect and every skill he has to do what is right. He has tremendous faith that he can make a difference in this world. He has a confidence and courage such that he doesn’t care what others think, yet a humility to know he has to do it with the help of like minded people. Those people are the “common” people, and he ridicules those who think they are not common.
He believes people are basically good. He believes that God is real. He believes that healthy people are happy people, and they need to be able to create wealth freely for their labor, and have the freedom to spend their money on what is good for them.
He believes the United States, with its Constitutional Republic, is the best environment in the world to enable and give opportunity for people to be happy and prosperous.
He believes that we can be a light for the world, but we must demand that the rest of the world respect us and our right to life, Liberty, and the Pursuit of happiness.
He believes the enemy of our country are the stupid, greedy American people who have been selfishly taking advantage of this country; who betrayed the trust and obedience of its people; and who diverted the people’s wealth for their own selfish gain, at the expense of the principles of this country. He’s not going to allow that anymore.
He has cultivated and focused the family of MAGA. Identifying those people whose goodness, industriousness, trust, and obedience have been taken advantage of and abused. He has opened our eyes to this abuse, and the rights of freedom and self determination that have been quietly stolen from us.
He has rekindled the healthy distrust of government and men with too much power held by our founders. He has recultivated the desire to reclaim our freedoms and rights, and is empowering us with a hope and pathway to reclaim our spiritual and economic freedom.
He wants the US to be a light of hope on the hill for all people. He will negotiate win/win agreements with those nations and countries who respect us; who respect the principles and intent of our Constitution. If you do not respect us, however, we are not going to let you take advantage of our goodness, or share in our wealth at our expense. If you as a nation are treating your people badly, you are going to be treated less favorably by us, until you show that you value your people as much as we value ours.
He is convincing those who are very wealthy (most of whom truly earned their money), that the best economic soil in which to build wealth is in a constitutional republic, which supports the ability of the common man to earn wealth in proportion to his efforts. The economic engine of the United States is the human spirit freed to enjoy the fruits of honest labor, and that engine has more natural and raw horsepower than any other governed economy.
The Trump Train seems to be remarkably aligned with universal principles of Truth, which reflect the will and design of our Creator, and are the best standard by which we should live. These same principles were what our country’s founders used to declare independence, and framed into the Constitution of this nation.
Our founders believed that a nation should preserve the right and freedom of an individual to seek, understand, and live by God’s principles. They believed that free individuals working together in humility would make a stronger nation than a government which dictates its will on the people. President Trump professes and seeks to lead and restore this nation back to these same principles.
These principles resonate deeply within all human beings, down to our DNA in every cell, in our spirits, and produce fruit that “miraculously” multiplies. Because we follow universal principles, we see the snowballing acceleration of momentum on day 203 of the 2nd term of this very stable genius in the history of the kingdoms of this world in the year of our Lord 2025.

President Trump cannot make changes to the number of house seats allocated to each state with a new census but what can stop him from correcting the admitted errors from the 2020 census allocation of seats?
That is going to be the question and may become one for the October opening session for the Supreme Court this year so that corrections can get made for the November 2026 general election,
time to right the ship, and with the loud bellyaching by the liberal media and childish hiding by the Texas Democrats, added with the outrageously stupid threat by California’s Newsom to add Democrat seats to match the number of Texas Democrat seats lost –
if the Supreme Court doesn’t step in on this topic, and return the stolen diamonds, then we know how sick that third leg of the stool that holds our Constitutional Republic (the judicial branch) together and functioning really is..
If the Supreme Court doesn’t step up to the plate and put an end to this – assuming a lawsuit by the DOJ is filed – then we really do have a constitutional crisis. Something Obama has wanted for decades, a tool to enter in that fundamental transformation he promised is followers.

Trump and Putin will meet in Alaska on the 15th.
While it is interesting to speculate what could be agreed upon, we should stay aware of the realities.
Zelensky cannot and will not be agreeing to anything short of a Ukrainian victory. His administration is not his. He serves at the pleasure of the far right. They will go down in total defeat before surrendering anything. Zelensky would be killed within minutes of agreeing to anything short of total Ukrainian victory.
Putin is not a dictator. He answers to the Russian people. Putin would have a very difficult time returning any territory that has been annexed by Russia. Crimea, Donetsk, Luhansk, Kherson and Zaporizhia are all part of Russia by law. Their citizens are now Russians. They are not something Putin could sign away. Putin would be removed from power were he to try that.
Trump is not at all concerned with Ukranian or Russian deaths in this war. Trump is not at all interested in where the Russian border is ultimately drawn. Trump is not terribly interested in Europeon security, and definitely not interested in paying for it. This conflict is nothing more than a obstacle to Trump’s hopes of making trade deals. Trump likely would have washed his hands of this months ago were it not for The Deep State. In his first term, he ignored The Deep State. That resulted in his entire first term being buried in an avalance of turmoil.
The Deep State is not going to simply surrender its goal of breaking up Russia. Whatever agreement Trump and Putin reach, the Deep State will not be throwing in the towel.
My prediction is that Trump and Putin will agree that:
A: The annexed oblasts will remain Russian.
B: The Russian’s will agree not to occupy anything west of the Dnieper River.
C: The American’s (Trump) will agree to stop funding and arming Ukraine.
D: America (Trump) be begin removing some sanctions.
E: All other details will be settled later.
The outcome will be that Ukraine will reject this agreement. Trump will then wash his hands of the Zelensky regime and begin making trade deals with Russia. The Deep State will then try to provoke Trump into resuming Ukraine support…

Generally agree with your insights and posts. I do think your conclusions A -E are correct. My differences this time are that President Trump does care about loss of life, especially when a false war is driven by Neo Cons/CIA and Euroweinies/Globalists with unprecedented corruption. Trump does care some about where the borders are drawn only to keep the peace long term. You are right about the deep state not giving up easily but I trust he’s well aware and in a larger context slowly addressing that. Great post to sum out likely outcomes.

Putin answers to the Russian “people” in the same way that Xi does. Both countries are run by, oligarchies, power circles, and between them they run the masses. If Putin makes a really bad deal via-a-vis Ukraine, then he risks losing influence and becomes vulnerable to being unseated, especially if his actions promote discontent among the masses, which will provide leverage for one power center or another to topple him.
I would no more lose sleep over the fall of Vladimir Putin than I would over that of the diminutive comic, Zelensky, if a truly democratic government could arise to replace either of them. But that is no more in the Russian tradition than it is in Ukraine’s.
Despite the picture painted in far too many conservative circles, Putin is not a democratic leader, no more so than Zelensky.

That isn’t true. Trump hates the waste of human death. As opposed to many former presidents, he actually does feel compassion for people dying, especially the innocent. He didn’t matriculate up the political ladder in the usual way, where the lives and fortunes of people are just stepping stones to power. To his enemies, that is one of his weaknesses. To the average American, that is one of his chief strengths. If you think that Trump does not feel for the pain and suffering of people, then you don’t know the man.
A president has to necessarily distance himself from the angst of all the suffering that a leader can be exposed to – any leader does if he wants to retain enough dispassion and judgment to lead. But to say that he doesn’t care suggests he’s not moved by it, and anyone who knows Donald Trump’s history, especially that which the state media doggedly refuses to report, knows that that is patently untrue.

“President Donald Trump’s deputies told the U.S. Supreme Court on Friday that the Attorney General can give work permits to migrants, even though Congress explicitly bars the hiring of illegal migrants.

Universities, or propaganda centres, are no longer fit for purpose, offering “degrees” in subjects which do not require intellectual rigour nor equip enrollees for lifelong well paid careers. And AI being developed with frightening speed will do its part to obliterate even the need for those.
There will always be that need for skilled professions. And so the necessity to keep replenishing it as retirements loom.
That is the point I took from this. As the wife of a man who is the jack of all trades and the master of each one, who has saved us tens of thousands of $$$ through his skills learned in such classes in Blighty while ultimately making his living in the corporate world here, wholeheartedly support the message above.
When I was in High School we had a county run Vo-Tech School that some of my classmates went to. 4 tight friends went to Vo-Tech for Autobody. My family was either a trade or college. I went to college and was heavily discriminated against by the State & Federal Government for employment in the Wildlife Conservation fields. They used “Women” as minorities against me & other Caucasian males. This was done to help destroy the traditional family, lower Heritage American birthrates, and wreck havoc on the Heritage American system by having less qualified as qualified for Government employment.
I suspect that is the case with the horrific NJ State Police Sgt who murdered 2 very nice young people whose contacts goes up to the top of the Democrat Run State Police & Democrat Covid Nursing Home murderer Democrat Gov Murphy’s office. I agree, when I was in school, we had Shop and Home Economics. We also had a choice between college prep courses or business courses. I chose business courses in High School because I knew we did not have the money for four girls to go to college on an enlisted Navy man’s salary, and I did not want to be in debt for years paying off college loans. I made decent wages and got to travel overseas and I did not have a degree, just years of “the school of hard knocks” and a ton of experience in the field I chose, so that in itself paid off.
They had Vo-Tech schools then also and a lot of my friends went and to this day have very well paying jobs and are not in debt with college loans.
Life would be pretty boring if we only had two choices. Fortunately young people have many choices, for the time being, for what they want to pursue as their career. Unfortunately, teachers and society, in general, push you must go to college. Also media pushes, with ads, you have to have the latest and greatest and go into debt for it (keep up with the Joneses) and college degrees are the only way to make that kind of money. They do not realize that the trades make really decent wages and can choose when, where and how they want to utilize their skills. I thank God every day there are people I can call to help with electrical, plumbing, etc. issues.

And here is another thing…there is no law, no rule, which says that its one door per customer.
I used to believe, when I was younger, that a university degree was the only way to success. I received one, but have never applied it. But it led me to receiving that education you speak of so eloquently beginning fourteen years later and for which no degree can match. I sincerely doubt I would be here, in this Tree, otherwise.
My two girls have put their degrees to good use. My son has a degree, but earns a wonderful living as an industrial HVAC technician. He chose one door but has been through many more since. Almighty God directed his path. I’m certain He does the same for each one of us. A truly miraculous thing to reflect upon I think only when reviewing one’s life. I actually believe it is easy to see His footsteps and direction more easily from that perspective.

I had this conversation with an early forties man this afternoon. To be brief, it was about the feminist women ruining businesses, religion and families by running them on feelings and DEI.
What surprised me a bit was what else he said. He said people his age was just dealing with it and working around it.
As a father of an early twenty-year-old and a teen boy, he said that group was not taking it. They would not tolerate it in a workplace, in a church nor in a mate and they were hostile in that regard. He was not referring to his kids but the age group in general. Said they are adamant enough to force change by whatever it takes.

The sweet, obliging, and very good man who does our yard and yearly trim has a son, one of many children, who has been working with him since he was about 10. I asked Andy yesterday where he was with his school. With the smile which is never off his face he said that he’d graduated this year. When I asked him what his plans were, he said he was starting again shortly to train to become an electrician. I was so glad to hear it and told him so. He is eager and personable. He’d never heard of Mike Rowe…
(I’ve ordered a small beautiful bronze and stainless steel cross with an embossed figure of Christ in relief upon it to give to him next week as a graduation present, the same as we gave to our twin grandsons last year when they finished high school and headed to their respective universities. I agree with the trade school assessment but that was not the point I was making.. ie.. portraying Americans as unskilled to begin with is disingenuous. It is the *offshoring* of American jobs, not a shortage of talented American workers, that creates the vacuum of American workers.
A more accurate meme would state, “BRING BACK SKILLED AMERICAN *JOBS* AGAIN.”

I would disagree to a degree. In a recent podcast with Mike Rowe he discussed a shortage of skilled tradesmen that numbers in the HUNDREDS of THOUSANDS in several fields and which will only grow greater as the on-shoring of manufacturing and build-out of the energy infrastructure accelerates.

Judith, I have some disagreement with your post. I think there is a huge void in “skills “ currently..at least what I call trade skills, not just grunt labor. In fact, I am meeting with the president of our local tech college soon to discuss this very thing. We live in a highly educated , vibrant town full of people looking for services…but, without success …because there is a dire lack of people able to provide them. I actually have a list of about 20 skills that would provide almost instant and unlimited income if properly trained…to name a very few…upholstery, window treatments, installation of window treatment, watch/clock repair, jewelry repair, furniture repair and refinishing, vehicle upholstery repair, shoe/luggage/handbag repair, clothing alterations, wallpaper, sewing machines etc. Etc. those that still offer these things here are retirement+ age and have tried to get people in to train and possibly take over but without any success. One of the main reasons? NO MATH SKILLS…if you cannot measure fabric or a wall to figure out how many yards you need, you cannot succeed in that occupation. The man who installed a cornice in our LR lived 25 miles away, is in his 70’s and would dearly love to pass that skill and business on, but cannot find anyone. The local drapery lady, the Hispanic upholsterer, the window treatments installer, the alterations lady all have long, long waiting lists and more business than they can handle. I just had a minor shoe repair and waited 2 weeks to get it.
In my state we have 16 technical colleges and 91 trade schools (nails, hair, massage, etc), but they are missing the boat by focusing on computer skills and not adding services. We have more than 350 golf courses in the state but only one tech college offering any golf courses management classes, and it’s located in a small out of the way town.
So, to your point I do see a very obvious lack of skills, probably because this is not a big town and it’s more visible; and I fault the school (and perhaps the state legislators) for not getting out into the community and observing what the real needs are and seeing the opportunities.
Common Core (“New” Math) was/is experimental slop which has crippled a generation.
On target. Go to any small town with large tourism flux, and you will find an even larger shortage of trade people, and those that exist make big dollars.
Good morning Betsy, Thanks for posting this. I worked with apprentices for most of my career and was chairman of our apprentice program for 6 years. I can say with no reservations that the biggest road block to making America skilled again is the current public school system.
My Dad’s best advice over the years was this – Learn a trade before you head off to college and you will always have a job.

In post WWII Britain, my husband walked home a nonfunctional motorbike, a Francis Barnett 250. His father made him arrange a row of boxes and told him to disassemble it, placing the parts in the order he removed them in those boxes, then reassemble it. Back to front. Twice!! Can’t tell you how educational that lengthy exercise was. By the time he had done this, learning the whole time, he had a perfectly running bike, ready to be ridden once he reached the age of 16 and passed his driving test. More school classes in every trade followed. There is nothing mechanical he can’t repair,up to and including coaches (buses), ones which he drove on British and European tours for years (and on one such where we met 38 years ago…). And much much more.
Since that time, he has been the manager of a British coach company, and when we moved to Texas, worked for two upmarket automotive marques in sales and finance. I won’t bore you with how he transformed our Welsh 1869 rural home and expansive garden, including single handedly adding a small conservatory to the house and building a stunning elevated deck at the back of that garden, to name just a couple of the many projects he was able to do because of his early skill development.

I think the education system is the second biggest problem. I think the biggest problem is the lack of a good father in a child’s life, in a God-fearing family.

One of my brothers became a master electrician the same way. The world would be a better place with Shop Class and widespread Apprenticeship programs given the importance they deserve.

Then there is the ability to have a long period of supply on my property “just in case…”
Do not kid yourself, covid was used, like the depression, to do one primary thing, raise prices on everything to widen the gap between haves and have nots. Fake supply/distribution problems started the ball rolling, and every greedy business owner, corps and private business, fell right in line.

Our electric bill in Houston is always between $700-$900 during July-September. It’s been that way for the past 15 years.
It’s like a death and taxes thing.

There was a time when window frames (and the glass) would last as long as the house walls.
There are cases of that still lasting.
Sadly, there are many cases where the window frames deteriorate.
And yes, there is some low cost repair that buys time ..caulk, paint etc.
Eventually, sadly, sometimes the deterioration needs a new window frame (and glass).
At that point in time, it can make economic sense to also update the thermal property of the glass – while seeking out a better window frame – that hopefully no one will need to replace in the future.
And yes, getting a return on the cost of replacing the glass, from lower energy bills…takes a very, very long time. (unless there is a gaping hole in the window)

Same here in DFW. Our home was built in 1940, top story added on in 1997, 3377 square feet. All electric, no gas. With the single glass paned windows, it’s easily in the same range to keep it cool and that’s after spending $30K to install 2 brand new HVAC units within the past 2 years.
You’re far better off using solar ray block film on your windows.

Yikes!! You either have a very energy inefficient house, huge house, or insane cost/kwH in your area (likely some combination of the 3).
Before you spend the kind of money to “upgrade” your windows, I would suggest you have a thermal survey of your house done, preferably in the fall or winter when it’s easier to discern the issues. Your windows may be a minor aspect of the issue.

One of the interesting things, missed by most, about the announcement by Trump and Apple to invest $600b in US manufacturing was Trump allowing these manufacturers to build their own power plants. That would help break the monopoly on energy production.
The real solution is SMRs (Small Modular Reactors), which can literally be built in a factory production line and then shipped, kind of like modular/ manufactured housing or auto production. SMR designs that use gen IV thermal-neutron/fast-neutron molten salt gas cooled reactors are very safe, and fundamentally can’t go into meltdown and don’t need water outside of what is needed to drive the steam powered turbine. That would bring low cost energy security for an eternity.
Of course, the Left will hate that. Some District Court judge and enviro-luneys will block any effort.

This is always the result. I remember reading an article about Houston TX. The local water monopoly kept encouraging people to cut back on their water usage. So the people complied.
Then they were hit with a 30% rate increase to make up for the loss of “sales” of water.
Monopolies can do that: Campaign for people to use less and less of their product and then, just raise the rates to make up for the loss in revenue.
My water bill is almost double from a year ago. After Helene destroyed the town water system and we were without water for a month, and we still had to boil it for months after that, and after they got a $20 million grant to rebuild the water system..

This sounds more like collusion between the doctor (medical association) and the insurance company. How in the world would an insurance company know that you asked a question if not for the fact that the doctor’s office included it on the bill they sent in??
Remember when a doctor would ask at the end of a visit, “Is there anything else?” Now they use that as bait.

The provider’s office billed for 2 visits, with different diagnoses. This has nothing to do with an unrelated question. The provider or their staff is running a scam, and should be reported to the Board (not that most boards would care). The insurance company sees it as two visits on the same day, pays only one.
She should get a full copy of her kid’s records and see what other fabrications are in it, such as diagnoses requiring meds wherein the scripts are filled by third parties or for referrals to specialists that are never seen but bill insurance as if treatment was provided.
Most people never review their insurance statements, and many are sent electonically and are not seen unless you log in to look at them. If the bill for anything insurance does not cover is not sent, most patients never check.
Yet another reason to never give a SSN to a doctor’s office… and not to sign a blank box without getting a printout if what you sign (I enter “no info given”).
Medical facilities hate me. Won’t sign anything without reading it in full (which often means they have to print it out first), line through things I don’t agree with and write “don’t accept” next to it with initials, often respond with “nunya” to questions, use my initials for electronic signatures, and refuse to let them scan my ID, palm, or anything else for ID, and never provide my SSN.
One ‘lady’ tried to say “sign it first and then I’ll print it out.” I refused and stated bluntly, “I sign nothing without reading it.”
Husband’s primary doctor asked in routine office visit if he drank alcohol. He answered only very occasionally. It showed up on the Medicare bill as an alcohol use assessment…for $250. When he questioned it, he was told it’s REQUIRED by Medicare.
The correct answer to such questions is “nunya.” If the doctor complains or says “it’s required by XYZ” the correct response is “oh, well.”
Medicare has a billing code, G0442, which is for 15 minutes of screening. He can contact Medicare/CMS and complain he was billed for services not rendered. From what I locate, it is recommended, not mandatory, for people who misuse alcohol.

But notice when a state or the federal gov’t raises taxes there is not a peep out of these “experts.” Why do taxes on the domestic side (85% of the economy) not matter, but taxes on the 15% are catastrophic?
