Trump hosted Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev and Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan at the White House, where the two leaders signed a historic joint declaration for peace after decades of bitter conflict and scores of lives lost — a landmark achievement for international diplomacy that only President Trump could deliver.
The two leaders also signed bilateral economic agreements with the U.S., unlocking the great potential of the South Caucasus region in trade, transit, energy, infrastructure, and technology, and creating new opportunities for the American people and American businesses.
“For more than 35 years, Armenia and Azerbaijan have fought a bitter conflict that resulted in tremendous suffering for both nations… Many tried to find a resolution… and they were unsuccessful. With this Accord, we’ve finally succeeded in making peace,” said President Trump.
“It’s a day which will be remembered by the people of Azerbaijan with a feeling of pride and gratitude to President Trump… Within several months, he managed to put an end to conflicts in Asia, in Africa, and now in South Caucasus — what we could not achieve for more than 30 years… We will turn the page of standoff, confrontation, and bloodshed, and provide a bright and safe future for our children,” said President Aliyev.
“Today, we have reached a significant milestone in Armenian and Azerbaijani relations. We are laying a foundation to write a better story than the one we had in the past. This breakthrough would simply not have been possible without President Trump’s personal engagement and his resolute commitment to peace,” said Prime Minister Pashinyan.
President Trump is the President of Peace. As President, he has brokered peace between Azerbaijan and Armenia, Cambodia and Thailand, Israel and Iran, Rwanda and the Democratic Republic of the Congo, India and Pakistan, Egypt and Ethiopia, Serbia and Kosovo, and with the Abraham Accords.
President Trump is proving that nations across the globe can move beyond longstanding conflicts of the past toward a shared future of peace, prosperity, and success.
The usual suspects will squeal, but this is another win for America.

I guarantee you, the Azeris will NOT keep up their end of the bargain, and this meeting should have restored Nagorno-Karabaugh back to Armenia.
But, Israel is encouraging an Azeri independence movement, to stir up trouble with Iran, and with Turkey as well; that’s why they armed the Azeris.
The Azeris, like the Kurds, will be used as a spoiler, with a homeland dangled before them as enticement.
Turkey is being baited as Israel takes Cyprus, with the terrorist regime Israel installed in Syria acting as the spoiler to their south, the Azeris to their east.
Armenia is an Orthodox Russian client and has extremely good cause to hate Turkey more than they dislike their Muslim cultural counterpart, Azerbaijan; I know Nagorno-K is an vital element to both, but I don’t remember the details. They have a better chance at working out whatever that is now, I’d say.
God bless Armenia, they have certainly gotten the short end of the stick; they had an actual Holocaust, rather than a fake one, with the same Suspects funding the radical faction of the Young Turks that committed it.

I watched the press conference live. I thought it was fascinating but wasn’t sure if I should take it at face value. First if there’s an actual long lasting peace as a result then President Trump is the genius we talk about. The 2 leaders I thought seemed sincere in their actions.
I’d say it’s a peace treaty about a war no one has heard about for the last 35 years. Two more countries grateful to President Trump as they should be.
Both countries, like all others, will have to contend with their own deep state that will wish to continue conflict regardless of what their leaders intend. Conflict allows for illicit profit in a myriad of ways.
