President Trump is then expected to head to his Menie golf course in Aberdeenshire before opening up a new course dedicated to his Scottish mother, Mary, who grew up on the Isle of Lewis. He will depart on Tuesday.

President Trump did the same thing at Doonbeg Golf Resort in Ireland. He took it out of bankruptcy, made it so beautiful as only he can and created many cottage industries surrounding it.
The people in the area love him! They are so grateful for all he has done. President Trump takes care of all the employees and we were told he even moves them to other Trump courses in the down months. Who else would do that?
We visited Doonbeg in 2017 soon after President Trump was Inaugurated. While we were there, we were so excited to hear that Eric was coming by helicopter to check on the course. As he walked by, we told him on election night we were on our knees praying until Hillary conceded. He thanked us and was so cordial and warm in his conversation.
He told us that President Trump wanted to help America just as he had pulled Doonbeg out of bankruptcy and made the whole area thrive and prosper.
And that it was President Trump did and continues to do.

I stood in front of the statue of Greyfriar’s Bobby in Edinburgh and had a panoramic view of the city and beyond from atop Arthur’s Seat. Truly magnificent. Then the desolate beauty of Skye….
When I moved to Britain, my husband and I debated whether to settle in Scotland or Wales, the latter winning out only because his sister lived there. But had it been Scotland, I would have been very happy there. Bless you, dear friend. You have a rich ancestry 💕

You two are killing me! I lived in London for a few years around the turn of the millennium. I spent my time wishing I was in Scotland and treasured every visit. First the native people and their culture, then the stunning beauty and variety of the scenery (hard to imagine being on the coast in Turnberry and then in less than 90 minutes in the Highlands) and finally the food. Just kidding! The golf!

Actually, one wouldn’t recognize any place that existed in the late 50’s or early 60’s unless it was was a very rural area sparsely populated.
The last 35 years have really been transformative. Our culture has changed drastically. Taking God out of the public sphere and trying to isolate Christianity has led us to worship baal and we are now no better than Sodom Gommorah. I personally believe we are more evil. We have lost our religious leaders who used to speak very loud against sin. For the most part, they now avoid taking a stand. They are peddling soft Christianity and it’s more of a feel good story than it is about God and salvation.
POTUS TRUMP while a good politician is not our savior. I say politician, not in a negative sense, but to point out that he is in the political arena and there are no saviors in that arena. If we are looking to that arena for help, we better start looking for and grooming a successor for Trump. His tenure as America’s CEO is coming to an end. We need to encourage him to start grooming a successor and get that person to promise to carry forth with 5 basic principles that will continue to be MAGA centered.

All I can say is we should all be humble and grateful that our Father above is patient with the world…and we in particular who have squandered the legacy of our moral Founders.
I have been watching and reading and believe I am seeing a glimpse of a turning away from the degradation which seems to have taken pernicious root. This seems to be in the form of Christian gatherings of thousands of a younger generation, one of which is my own precious 17 year old granddaughter who attended a huge revival in Edmonton, Oklahoma a week or so ago.
If His judgment were to befall us, this nation, at this moment it would be, in my opinion, well deserved.
And of course President Trump is not our saviour. But he is, I feel, a warrior chosen long ago to begin to restore sanity and rectitude into America.
His influence is having an effect elsewhere as well, which I hope will embolden people in other benighted countries to rise up against the monstrous leaders (yes, I am using a strong ajdjective) who care for no one or nothing except their own power and wealth and permanent sinecures.
Lord God, continue we beg Your protection of our President, Your appointed earthly weapon against the evil which has insinuated itself for so long into the once moral fabric of our nation. Have patience with our failures and do not turn Your face from us as we slowly climb out of the morass into which we have fallen. Good evening and Amen Betsy. Our church youth left Tuesday for a North American Youth Conference in Indianapolis. They will be home on Saturday. It occurs every two years and youth from all over North America attend. It normally will have 25 to 30 thousand youth praising and worshiping. The youth at church take the two years in between and raise money so they can go every two years. I’ve seen videos and it just warms my heart to see all those young people. Their is a revival happening, especially with the youth. I see it every week at our church.

As you realize, the same is, sadly, true of many places in the US. Thomas Wolfe was right: you can’t go home again. I was born in Chicago, grew up outside of Waukegan (home to Jack Benny, Ray Bradbury). Went back 10 years ago and I could not recognize either city. Went to a Home Depot in Waukegan? The aisles that described what items could be found were in Spanish . The city was filthy. And Chicago? What a joke it has become. LaCrosse, WI was the closest to my memories, ditto Decorah, IA. But my spouse’s hometown of Osage, IA? Not even close. Old farm homes – bought by corporate farmers – that were abandoned by the corporate farmers were filled with squatters, meth labs. The trip made me cry, ditto my spouse. Yeah, you can’t go home again. Better to live in the memories of a better time than to see what decades of Democrat “progressives” have accomplished.
I have exactly the same feeling about Ireland.
The last time we went back to Galway, we could hardly find a native in the school yards or to serve in the shops and resteraunts. Dublin is unrecognisable from my youth.
It is the same all over Europe which is being “replaced”.
I was there in 2000. Ironically, I got off the train in Marseille and without seeing a soul, had an odd feeling, and traveled on to Nice. I later learned that Marseille was rough.
When I was in Amsterdam on a weekend night, a local was instructing me to keep off the train 4-5 stops before the end of the line, and take a cab. He wouldn’t explain why. (I’m a big dude.)
I stated on the train, and it became a sh-tshow of vagrants, dealers, immigrants, thieves, and opportunists. But I was in great shape and have decent street smarts. That was 2000. Today looks horrible.

We saw 2 in full Muslim garb at the local store. Town size maybe 500, here in NY.

My neighbor got those solar panels on his roof. Signed a contract paying for 30yrs. I asked him if he read the fine print and he hadn’t. I can hear him crabbing 10yrs from now, if I’m still around. Stupid is as stupid does.
We have salesmen knock on our door often trying to rope us in. When they mention the 30 years, my husband points out our ages and the unlikely event that we won’t be here to “recoup” our “investment”.

If that move translated to Wednesday’s regular-session trading action, it would make for the worst one-day percentage drop since the stock lost 14.6% on July 22, 2008. Texas Instruments turned in earnings per share of $1.41 for the second quarter, on revenue of $4.45 billion. Analysts tracked by FactSet were expecting $1.36 and $4.36 billion, respectively.
The company’s forecast for the third quarter calls for $4.45 billion to $4.80 billion in revenue and $1.36 to $1.60 in earnings per share, an outlook that “does not include changes related to recently enacted U.S. tax legislation,” according to the company’s release.
President Trump says undeserved complimentary things about the leaders he is going to or has met.
I do not share his views on these people but I assume it is part of his strategy giving them an opportunity to prove they can be responsible leaders while their past actions prove the contrary. When they prove untrustworthy he seeks to demolish them with words not wars.
His views begin with “you catch more flies with honey than vinegar.”
What he may or may not think privately would never be said publicly.
That is the correct approach.

Scottish Government Vows to Harangue President Trump on Gaza When he Heads to Turnberry This Weekend
U.S. President Donald Trump is expected to arrive in Scotland, north Britain on Friday afternoon for a four-day personal trip which the leader of Scotland’s devolved government said he would use to talk about the Gaza war.
First Minister John Swinney said he wanted to use the chance of Scotland being front-page news worldwide to “showcase” the home nation, to “advance our interests”, but also to talk Gaza. The leader of the devolved assembly, one of three within the United Kingdom, will meet President Trump during his visit this weekend, as will UK Prime Minister Sir Keir Starmer.
Underlining his priorities, Swinney said: “As we welcome the president of the United States, Scotland will be showcased on the world stage. This provides Scotland with a platform to make its voice heard on the issues that matter, including war and peace, justice and democracy.”
This includes using his sit-down time with President Trump to express his views on “humanitarian issues of significant importance, including the unimaginable suffering we are witnessing in Gaza, and ensure Scotland’s voice is heard at the highest levels of government across the world”, he said.
