Today the socialists gathered along the main road leading into and through the small town of Two Harbors, Minnesota. They’ve been gathering in front of the towns cemetery (oh so apropos) every Friday for a couple months now, and even with it being a celebration of our countries founding, they still gathered to protest President Trump.
These people are sick and never, ever happy.
They chose to be offended, they chose to be mean, they chose to believe they know better than everyone else, so they believe they must force their opinions on the sane around them.
I’m thinking I’ll make a sign and join them next week.
Still don’t know what my sign will say, but right now I’m thinking it will say something like, “Welcome to Socialist Two Harbors,” or “Greetings from the Socialist Party of Two Harbors.”

Personally, I would love(!) to have “a third party, and a fourth one and even a fifth one.” Abraham Lincoln was elected in a plurality of votes. In our nation’s earlier history, there were many “parties” competing, and all of them were serious. This was contentious, but healthy.
Today, we have one political party – a “UniParty.” There is only a token difference between them, as evidenced by how they actually decide and vote. They have all been thoroughly and completely corrupted by “m-o-n-e-y.” Even as, paradoxically, they have repeatedly enacted decisions that weaken or destroy our “money.” It would be funny were it not so utterly serious.
Unfortunately, Mr. Musk, you are simply too rich to actually bring this off. Also, your wealth came largely from subsidies and government grants. You cannot now actually bite the hand that richly feeds you.
Mike, I think right now we have parties within parties. MAGA is a movement that is large enough to be a party within a party. The Dems have the MARXISTS within its party which is growing. Then of course we have the UNIPARTY which is the real third party.

Abraham Lincoln engineered the “National Union” party in 1864 to avoid the convention being controlled by the “radical” Republican faction. At the convention they dumped Maine radical Hamlin as VP and instead picked Kentucky democrat Johnson. The Republicans nominated Fremont for president, but seeing their candidate not get any traction they eventually endorsed the Lincoln/Johnson ticket. In those days the states did not control ballots, the parties did.
Had Elon been given even more taxpayer funded subsidies for his glorified golf carts it would have been very disappointing to the conservatives who support Trump – including myself – and been viewed, not only as a hypocritical betrayal, BUT a potentially impeachable quid pro quo by the Left who would have jumped all over it.
Elon will be fine and I don’t think he’ll really pursue a disruptive (and ultimately unsuccessful) third party play.

First thing this morning I got an email sent out en masse to Minnesota Republicans from someone who ran for office and lost a couple years ago.
The title of his message was, “This Independence Day, Let’s Say It Plainly: America Is a Great Country.”
The words of his 4th of July greeting sounded as though he was bashing President Trump for working to MAGA, instead of rejoicing over the good being done right now.
He didn’t speak one time of President Trump, only of “our political and cultural leaders,” “our elites and some leaders,” and included, “America is a great nation. Our leaders should say that more often.”
I wondered, did he not know of the tireless work President Trump does for our country? Did he not care? Or does he have an agenda to undermine everything the MAGA movement stands for?
So I wrote him the following message —
Dear XXXXX,
Thank you for sending a note of praise for our nation on this, its 249 birthday.
One key thing stuck-out though, as I read your words; they seem to go against a movement that is working hard to bring our country back to sanity and civility, and a movement that was started by President Donald Trump. MAGA, Make America Great Again, is not a gimmick, it is exactly what all red-blooded Americans knew had to happen as we watched our great land slip into the abyss of socialism during the Obama and Biden Presidencies, with barely a whimper spoken by our “representatives” in the GOP.
If you have a problem with President Trump working tirelessly — day and night — to Make America Great Again you should come out and say just that.
As it is, your words speak as though you do not approve of President Trump’s actions. Your words diminish the hard fought actions of a man who is, like our Founding Fathers centuries ago, willing to lay his life and fortune on the line to correct the course of our Constituational Republic, and to keep it from going over a precipice that others were joyfully pushing it towards. Including many Republicans.
Yes, the United States of America is a great country created and blessed by God’s almighty hand, and for that we are eternally thankful. But God will not be mocked, and the perversion written into law by previous administrations was leading us into Romans 1:18-32 judgment; a judgment where God removes His hand of protection and abandons a country or person to the sin they desire to do. MAGA called for those sinful practices to end, and for President Trump to do what God calls His chosen leaders to do — to protect the citizens and the borders of the country they serve.
I pray the GOP uses this extraordinary time to fortify itself against the onslaught of evil that will come against us when President Trump’s term of office ends.

Hopefully OMB submits the rescission packages to the House this next week.
The longer OMB delays the more $$$ is spent and can not be clawed back by the admin.
One rescission package ($9.4 billion) has already been submitted. The House approved it on June 12 and forwarded to the Senate. The whole process needs to be complete in 45 days so the Senate has to act by July 18th. That is now less than 2 weeks.
That rescission package was pretty straightforward and should have been fairly easy to approve. Are you really expecting Congress to cooperate?
Its not perfect, but it’s the best PDJT could do via an illegitimate Congress.
